So uh Down's currently spamming the app and Nikki is on the Facebook page officially trying to look for things. Um so yeah, we're three minutes out from the actual official announcement. Um so yeah. Okay, so one minute to go, final predictions. Well, we know what mine were. It was Green Day, um, ghost, and corn. That was my prediction. I've gone with Green Day, Bring Me the Horizon, and I'm hoping for my chem slash slipknot. And diamond? Uh Green Day, my chemical, and then slip knot in that order. Okay. Because I I know from past downloads that slip knot have done it. We have we have the official video, so we will watch this together and we will come back. So we have just seen the lineup, and my fucking god, it's it's an interesting one. It's an interesting one for sure. I mean, first of all, final predictions literally two moments ago, and we pretty much all said green day. We did, so that was a gift. The funny thing is, I shared this poster Sunday. Yeah, you did. We actually did you shared it on Sunday, and it was right. Whoops! Oh well, there you go. Um but yeah, corn. Finally get to actually see fucking corn. Yeah. And the headlining. Bad omens. Yeah. Oh my god. So that is a fucking slap of a lineup to be fair. I mean, we don't know who's who, but from the looks of it, it looks like Weezer and Bullet might be headlining the second stages. Yep, by the looks of it, yeah. Nice. If we go off of last year's um unless they unless Weezer goes before. But then again, but then again, all the big name bands, they're normally the ones that will play higher up on the bill, so that means that means also then that Spirit Box and Steel Panther, which were my original predictions for the second stages were correct as well. Yeah. Because I said those two in my original poster. That was in episode two, wasn't it? That was back in episode two, yeah. But what interests me is that when we were around Talia and Connors the other day, we were talking about it. I said lit before we were going to Donny Bonnie, I literally said, I'm gonna throw a random one out there, busted versus McFly. And now we've got McFly. And now we've got McFly. Yeah. Yeah. So that takes me back to like my sad little 13-year-old self. That is mad though, to think that that's actually Bob on the Money, that that's what we've seen. Yeah. I thought the prices were quite high this year, no, no I see why. Yeah, because Green Day are there, yeah. That's why. Yeah, well, Green Day is my bucket list band. I've I've always wanted to see them ever since Vanessa saw them when she was younger with Mum and Steve. Then I've I've always wanted to. Oh my god, I am that is not bad. That is not a bad lineup. That's not a bad lineup at all. I can't complain. I mean, looking at the undercard, Alien Ant Farmer there, which is great because I've always wanted to see them as well. Wow, what a name. Cool. Remember the one that I said he was wearing all the bondage stuff. Oh yeah. That's harpy. Yeah, that's harpy and she's there. So you get to experience that. Um Well do, well do. Yeah, Ollie's got an opinion as well, apparently. Ollie does have an opinion. I think he wants to go in the kitchen, Bub. Okay, give you two sacks. But yeah, that's um that is a very interesting lineup. I mean, I'm just happy that I get to see corn and green day. Like that that just that completes it for me, really. Oh, so many, so many good well Airborne, alien ant farm. Bit of a controversial opinion. I'm not a massive corn fan. Okay. I'm I'm not, I could I could never get into them. The only one that I ever truly liked was Freak on a leash. But I think that's because everyone liked Freak on a leash. Up word up everybody, I say. Oh my god. That that does look good though. Yeah. This as I said for my uh my goals, I will be at the front stage. Yeah. For Green Day, I actually might suggest that we go down. Oh yeah, without a doubt. Like I want to be in the in the in the slog for that one for green day. A part of me does not want to be pregnant for this download. Purely for that. Well, if you don't want to be, then we can sort that out. But at the same time, it's entirely up to you because the problem will then occur. Is that if you aren't, then what happens with next year's lineup if it absolutely slaps as well? Yeah. Then again, Green Day is probably gonna be the only time they'll headline. They were on the Disney goes punk. Oh yes. Lolo. Oh my god. Orbit culture there as well, so is Kitty, I've just seen. Anyway, we'll have that discussion. Yes, we will. Off air. Oh my god. Um but yeah. Uh I'm excited for Lorna Shore again. Oh mate, you they were amazing. You don't know what you're in for with Lorna Shore. They were absolutely amazing. My god. Just my god. Like so fun. So much fun. Beautiful. I'm so excited for Green Day. I could actually piss. I'm so excited. So then two in two years in a row, I've done the two out of three. I've called two out of three, two years in a row. Because last year I called Queens. You did. And I also called Avenged. You did. You called Fallout Boy. I did. So yeah, that's that's interesting, and it's in they're in the same position as well, the two that I've called. Did the exact same yeah, that's fucking nuts. I'm quite shocked that Slipknot haven't done it, because I know that they tend to have done every other year, but no, their tour lineup is stacked around that time, so they're not gonna do it. I'm surprised that Ghost didn't do it really, huh? I mean there's still more to be announced. Yeah, very true, and to be fair, some may back out. Yeah, this is true. Because that has been a pattern for the past couple of years, is that some have backed out for obviously various reasons, but that's when we got Parkway Drive last year, they managed to come in and save the day, and it was skin dread the year before as well. Oh, I reckon skin dread. Yeah, oh god, they've got to be there, they've got to be there. You need to see Skin Dread live. I would love to see Skin Dread live. It's it's a sight to behold when everyone takes t-shirts off and flings them over their head. I mate, I do that in Planet. I know you don't. I know you do. But um okay, well based off of that then, I am gonna make a very, very early prediction now for next year. Of Lincoln Park. For 2026. This is for 2026. Oh, I thought you said it was gonna rain. No, no, no. No, no, no, no. No weather. No rain next year, no fucking rain. 2025 or 2026? For 2025, no rain. Okay, good. For 2026, bands I'm predicting. Lincoln Park. Yep. Slipknot. Yep. Ghost. That's what I'm predicting. Bring me's still not in this list. Or bring me, possibly. Because bring me could be back. But maybe not. But that's what I reckon for 2026. I'm calling it now, that's what I'm putting the gauntlet down for. That's my early call. 2026. Electric Call Boy. It's a headliners. Yep. That's a bit of a step up, considering they've they've literally not played. Okay. Okay, fair enough. Nice one. Bring me. Bring me, okay. It won't be slip. It won't be slip not. Okay. What? Evanescence. Oh, okay. I don't know. Off the cuff. Neck date. Well the headlines. No, no, headline. Oh, yeah. I'm on a yeah, headlines for 2026. Okay. Hmm. I'll have a thing. Okay. Carry on. I'll let you know. Yeah, I I think uh I think now, looking at that, we've got three new headliners there on that, and that's quite a step up because last year we only had two, and the year before. So it's kind of going the way that we want it to go. Yeah. Because I think with obviously like Maiden doing it as much as they have. It's kind of the time's passed a little bit, I think, for them doing it. I think maybe they might do it one last time. Possibly next year, maybe. See, because we've had the 20th anniversary of downloads, and that was the the four-day camping thing. I think Maiden won't do it until the next big one, which would be the 25th anniversary. And I think at that point they'll be like, we're done. That's it, that's the last one. Because any musician wants to end wants to go on the hiatus on a big ra. I mean I know they're not the same level, but Panic at the Disco did it. Panic at the Disco did a massive world tour, and then they went on hiatus. Fallout Boy did it. So Yeah, I think this will be it though. Next time Maiden are back in town for download, I think that'll be the last one they ever do. I think it will be. To be honest, because I mean they they're getting on a bit now, they're in their 70s. So you know, if that was me, I wouldn't want to do it until my 70s. I mean like I know people act differently because they have like the more passion for it, but anything can happen really. No, that is true. That's true, but I'm very happy with that lineup to be honest. I mean it's it's kind of what I was expecting. Yeah. Top kick. Uh sleep token, I'm a bit surprised at the headlining because Yeah, you said earlier that there was a bit of a jump, wasn't it? Yeah, that's a bit of a jump from where they were last time. That's kind of like they have been selling out shows. Well, this is true, they did sell out Wembley, so not Wembley, but No, they sold out Wembley. Not the main arena, it's it was a side piece. Oh yeah, it was a side bit, but still you you're selling out arenas and stuff like that, you know. You're selling out shows, it's kind of like okay, and then that whole Gunnersby Park thing with corn while Bloodstop was on. That's very true. That that was kind of for me was the time when it was like, okay, it's probably gonna be corn. That was my little hint. Oh god. But the reason why I said ghost was because they did that little movie thing, didn't they? Last year, they played it on the big screen. So, and last time they did something like that, it ended up being Queens of the Stone Age. Um But I am very happy with that, and I will definitely be seeing all three of those headline sets all the way through. Yep, yeah, yeah. Now, the issue we have here though crowds is one, I'm so fucking glad we bought our tickets when we did. Yep. Because if we hadn't, right we would be struggling to get a ticket. Because I think this one's gonna sell out looking at that. Well, I don't think so because I'm looking at the comments now on the poster, and it's yeah. Website's currently sold it. That might be because of the change in prices. Yeah, that's the pre-sale though. Yeah. Because it's got to swap over to general. Well I've got the comments saying. Um so one of the comments was what have Sleep Token actually done to deserve that slot? They played once and have been a big act for maybe a year. It's a proper slap in the face for Parkway Driver Day to remember, and girls who have risen through the lineup throughout the years. Apart from that, it's amazing otherwise. Um positive one. I knew it, absolutely knew that sleep token would headline. This makes me happy. Uh basically, they're just shitting on Sleep Token, which isn't really fair. Someone put, I'm actually gutted that Lincoln Park isn't headlining, but you know, they could be headlining next year. I would rather bad omens than Sleep Token. Not a Green Day fan, but I love corn. Um, but are they still headlining material? Just feels like a random bunch of ax thrown together. Although I'm gassed to watch Jimmy Eats World. So it is a very mix um mixed reviews on the official download Facebook page. A lot of people are saying never thought I'd see McFlyer download, so that's interesting. If they get a big stage than busted, some that's broken. Me! I I have had Well, actually Busted requested that stage. They did. Let's not forget they actually said we want the tent. Wow. But was that a strategy, do you think? Well, I think the reason why they did it was because they were like we want it to be like a bit more of a spectacle in the tent. Because don't forget, Electric Call Boy, they did exactly the same thing in 2023. They were off the second stage, but they chose the tent instead. Yeah. But I'm just checking. Well, don't forget, I'm bringing a decent sized tent, so we can always do an extra festival stage in there. We could do. I mean, I'll do what I did last year and the year before that. I'll just start the main stage. I'll look after chairs and stuff. Well, this year I was hoping this year coming, I was hoping that if you aren't bringing in to move you around a bit more so you're not just stuck in one spot all day. Okay, being stuck in one spot all day. Because I would like to do a lot more of the tents this year because I didn't do enough of it last year. I just kind of felt like I was going main, second, main second, and I kinda don't want to do that. I I did not get no, but I want you to come with me so you can experience all parts. Well when when more get announced, because then they're gonna do they're gonna like redo the page. They'll do the date, yeah. Yeah, so when that comes out, I'll then have a think about it. But I am happy just to be at the main stage. Okay, fair enough. Because then I get to see bands that I've never seen before, get to see bands that neither of us have really heard of before, and I get to experience it more for myself because don't forget I can't walk around that much anyway, because of my hip and my knees. So and plus it's easier for me to hold in a piss if I'm still s in one spot all day. That is a very valid point. I held in sound much piss. Mate, you were on another realm. I don't even know how you're still alive after next year. You were on another realm. That's why you could hold in your piss, mate. You you were you were somewhere else. That is the one thing. When you said at my dad's house that um Michelle could come with us, I was really like kind of in my head grinding my teeth a bit, so I'm like, fuck, if Damon's going next year, he's gonna bring cookies again, I'm gonna be fucked again. Well, I might change it up a bit. Pancakes. I'm not eating anything that you bring. 45 minutes I was looking at the colour green for Enter Shikari. Well, well, that's because of the lasers. Bloody cats. Well okay, so then let's talk camping then. Because we've all got our general camping. We we're not going for eco, we're not going for quiet, we're not going for anything. No, no, we're going straight back to black camp again. Straight back to black. Straight away. Are we thinking where we were kind of last time or are we thinking a bit more towards the village? If if the map is as it was last time, I liked where we were. Because the bit where the village is up that hill, the floor is shit up there. I would like to go closer to the showers. Well, to the fence bit just before you walk up that hill hill. I'd like to go closer to that because then it is a little bit more. Where the watchtower was. Yeah, we're gonna say the other side of the um greenery, the shrubbery. The shrubbery. I demand a shrubbery. Yeah. Um well, yeah, kind of, but I was thinking like from where we were, like if you're looking at where the main walkway was. Yeah. That stinks, Ollie. Um where the like watch towers like Nikki was saying, bit further down. Um plus if you're on about having the the the the campsite of 50 billion flags, we're gonna need a bit more room next time. Yeah. Yeah. And plus if I am Pragananant, it's closer then. Yeah, one, it's closer, two, it's closer to the toilets, and I would very much like to be close to a walkway as well. So like where the actual main path is. Yeah. Um I I really wanted to bring some kind of like spray paint and make a a road, a path. I want to spray a a path. Okay. Like an IKEA sort of path type thing with like a ziggy-zaggy path. So people go, if someone goes, puts their tent there, go, no. Okay. Yeah, I don't think that's gonna work well. And if anyone who puts their tents near the path, I will give you your own extra extension path. Yeah, I think well, fair enough, but I think I think we go back black again for next year because that was really good. I've done what we did last year. I've done um guest camping. I've done eco and I've done general now, and to me general was the most fun. Yeah. Because you didn't feel as limited in what you could and couldn't do. No. I slept better when we did eco camping, however, I did feel a bit isolated from everyone because obviously I I knew Connor, but we didn't know Freddie. We didn't really know Freddie, and we didn't really know Tim. No. So, and obviously Chris was I think in red or purple. Purple, he was in. Yeah, so he was like way beyond us. So last year when we all had that gazebo and we all had our like little seats in there that I thought was just it was really nice as well. And you your fairy lights that you bought with you as well. Oh, yeah, I'm gonna pick some more of those. Nice, yeah. Nice. I showed my mum a picture of that, she was like, Oh, it looks lovely. I'm like, hmm. Do you want TV? Get some. I'm gonna I'm gonna cover my tent in them. Oh my god. Cute. We need to get a new tent, don't we? We need to get a new bed. Yes, because me too. He'll probably go back to the tent at that point. Yeah. A part of me is thinking I might actually brave it and have a shower there next year as well. I'll show it every day. I know you did. He was literally fingers deep in his crap. Christ. With some Radox as going at that point, is it Radox or is it more turd than Radox? Like, is it really doing anything to clean at that point? Last year wasn't so bad because it was pissing down with rain quite a lot, so we didn't really sweat that much. But after the first year when we went, and it was well when I went for my first one, absolutely roasting hot. We got back at like what four o'clock in the morning, and we were saying that we're gonna have a shower and then we're gonna like change the bedding, get into bed, like fresh sheets, all clean. No, we passed out as soon as we got in. We woke up a couple of hours later, and I remember I had a shower, the water was black. You had a shower, you got to be like, You look like chocolate. You know, you know when you go to McDonald's and you order a chocolate milkshake. And you drop it on the floor. That was the water that was coming off my body. I even took a pic I've got it on my phone still. I took a picture of my hand before and my wrist because I'd got a tan line, I still got it from two years ago. This arm sweet art. No, no, from two years ago. I thought it was this one. No, no, that was last year's. This one was 23. I've still got the tan line on my arm. You can still see it a little bit where it was. But when I got it back in, I took a picture of it and compared it to before and after, and was like, holy shit. Yeah. It's just another level. I need to take sun cream with me this time. Yes. Dingo's uh give us a little message. Oh yeah. What's he said? I am gonna be sick of that lineup. Glad I bought the early bird. See? Yeah, meet it. That's why you do it. I'm still waiting for a response off Talia because I know that she'd like to see Lorna Shaw some winning for her. When I was at work today, everyone was going, Oh, you find out tonight, don't you, about the download lineup? And I was like, Yeah, I do. And then Jay said to me, He was like, Oh, I can't believe you've bought tickets for something you don't know who you see in yet. And I was like, that's part of the fun of it. Yeah. You don't know who you're gonna go see. I said, but it's more about the people you go with than the actual band. That's what makes it for me, to be honest. That sounds a bit sentimental and whatnot, but sorry, I wasn't listening. I can tell. Thanks. Go on. I said the guys at work were saying that they couldn't believe that I've paid this much money for something that I don't know who I'm gonna go see. I was like, it's not about that, it's about who you go with. Oh yeah, it is absolutely about who you go with. That's what makes it more than anything else. Unless you're going on your own, then fair play, but I wouldn't go on my own. It's one of those things as well where it's like if we were to pre-style's still up. Is it? I was saying it was sold out a minute ago. Um it's 345 at the moment, but it's still the same pre-sale. Oh, that's MasterCard, that's why. And you with Barclays. Nope. Oh, okay. Fair enough. It's like Disgusting. This is This is what like the point that I was trying to make last year is that when people are kicking off, 'cause like, oh, fall out by a headline. It's like, yeah, you spent hundreds and hundreds of pounds on your download ticket before you even know who's playing like either you go through the payment plans or you just buy it outright. You can just sell them back. Oh, exactly. And get your money back, it is not a big deal. Well, that's exactly what I'm doing with Pantera, because I don't want to replace seeing them at download with seeing them at Birmingham because it's not that special. If you saw them at Birmingham first and then if you sold them at Birmingham first and then they were you're gonna see them again at Pantera uh Download. And that's different. Yeah. Look at the size of that spike. Jesus Christ, I'm gonna have to edit that though. Well but I do you kick the mic, that's why we all pulled the birth pulled the face. Um I'm happy with that. I think it's gonna be quite fun. I'm hoping it's clear weather. Yeah. And not too hot, not too cold. Well at Goldilocks. I would love me. I would like it to be warm. Not as hot as it was in 2023, because that was stupid. However, one day like that, I'll take. If I get one day like that, and one the rest of the days like it was when we first turned up on the Wednesday. That's perfect. Yeah. The Friday like that, the rest of it either side. We're so excited for Green Day. I know you get to see them though. I do. And I think that's pretty much everyone then, because I've seen Paramour. I've seen Adolescence. I get to tick them off my list. I'll see Green Day, I've seen Fallout Boys. And you get to see Bullet twice next year as well. We do get C Bullet twice next year. So this will be my third time seeing Bullet, so they'll be in the camp of bands that at that point that are in the top top camp. It'll be my first time seeing them. Because then it'll be Metallica still sits pretty at number one. Then it's Die Art. And then it will be Bullet and Um Then it's Ghost after that, I think. Excuse me. Nice. Um If it was up to me, Hanaby will be here every single year. Weren't they there last year? Yep. Yeah, that was the band that I couldn't see because the security fucked me. They didn't literally fuck me. If you've listened to episode one, you'll know all about it. I've listened to episode one. Yeah. But yeah. I know exactly what you're about. Uh uh. Oh no, like So you're not staring at green lights instead of the band that you're actually seeing because if you do that while Green Day's on, you'll kick yourself for it.
