It is the big day. It is download day, is it? Where we get the announce montes. So yeah. We're just gonna run through our predictions before we find out what the actual announcement is. Um in approximately what is it, 13 minutes? Uh 20-ish. 20-ish minutes. Right, so we're also again joined by my lovely wife. Hello. Um so yeah. Who wants to start then? Um you chat GPT and I'm getting my list back up. Okay, fair enough. Okay, I'll uh I've been programming. He has been programming, he's been doing some hacks. Oh, you almost gave it free will. Free will, love it. Um I'll start from the headliners because that's the one that I'm mainly gonna talk about. So what I want it to be and what I think it's gonna be are two totally different things. So, apart from one band. What I think it's gonna be is Limp Biscuit, Guns N' Roses, and Lincoln Park. That's what I think it's gonna be for headliners. What I want it to be is Ghost, Lincoln Park, and Parkway. That's what I want it to be. You want. That's what I want it to be. What you want, you can't have. Exactly. So I think that's kind of my last lock-in, but I'm convinced it's gonna be Lincoln Park, Guns N' Roses, and Limp Biscuit. So, and obviously I would like Creed there, but I think that's a bit of a push at the minute. I might be pleasantly surprised. And I would like Megadeth there as well. Um because it's their last run of shows now, so I think it kind of realistically needs to be at this point. Um if they're gonna do it, it needs to be now, because there's not another chance, I don't think. Um who else? I think second stage headliners probably go trivium, um Death Tones, and maybe Skindred, that's what I think. Yeah, I want Skindred. I think that's that's who it'll be. I think subs could possibly be on any day, Papa Roach. Megadeth have already mentioned them Creed and Creed, yeah. So that's kind of where I'm at, really. I think Creeper will be there, definitely. Um trying to think who else. Um that's it really, off the top of my head, who I can think of. Obviously, there's all the undercard, but that's for me to predict that is is nuts. I mean, my original prediction was Death Leopard way back early on, but I don't think that's gonna happen though. Ow. So yeah. That's uh that's it from me. No, they haven't. Um so under my chem on the Friday, I've got Architects, Lincoln Park, Bad Omens. Oh Parkway drive, you know. Yeah, Architects, Parkway, and Bad Omens. Cool. On the Saturday, I've got uh Ghost's headline, System of Down, Gojira, and Electric Callboy. That'll be a very, very good, good sort of set, I think. Your man, banging. And then Lincoln Park on the Sunday with Limp Biscuit and Pendulum. Very good, very nice. The Prodigy. Special guest. The Pro Gorgy. Yam. And Bubba, what about you? You not what you think it well, you could do what you think it's gonna be, or what you want it to be. Okay, well, I think it is gonna be Limp Biscuit, Lincoln Park, and fucking guns and roses. I have heard rumours ACDC. No, that'd be interesting if ACDC were there. Interesting. I would be up for that actually. Here's another one. Potential four-day event. See, I don't think it's gonna be a four-day event. I think they'll do that for probably the 25th anniversary. They'll do that for the first time. Or the 30th. But can I just steer away from headliners a second? So obviously this year we had Benger Boys. Last year I can't remember who we had um in the in the Dog House. See for me, if the headliners aren't great, meaning they're not different, then I think it's gonna be down to the undercard on it. For me. Yeah. I mean, it depends, like, with Limp Biscuit and Lincoln Park and Guns N' Roses. Guns N' Roses are shit. I've seen them at the Aussie gig, as I said in the last episode, they weren't great. Last year's one, all three headliners were absolute slaps. So I don't think there was a single one that I didn't want to see. Last year there was that many good bands I couldn't see them all. Yeah, that was the problem. But I could actually walk around the festival this time. Yeah, that is very true. So much smaller. Yeah. Yeah, it did feel a bit more um the fact that I could actually grip the floor and you know, in my crocs, this and I could actually instead of slipping or sliding, I could actually walk, and everything just felt so much closer. I still can't get over you with those crocs in 2014 uh 2024. I can't get over that. Fucking god, still got them. And they've still got the burn mark. What from when you put in the fucking the bot the bottom of um my Dot Martins is still a bit melted. Well, you know it's grip. It is, it's extra grip. Extra grip non-slip. But yeah, I I think I think it could be good. I mean, um we don't know if that is gonna be right that Limp Biscuit, Guns N' Roses, Lincoln Park. I mean we'll find out very shortly, but yeah, I I don't know. I mean if it is that fine, that's fine. Um It just means that the undercard has to absolutely slap. Yeah. And whoever else is announced underneath, I mean Megadeth have to be there, they have to. Yeah. Um Blink182, yes please. Hmm, that's interesting. Are they doing any dates in Europe? Download. Well, you don't know that for a fact. We'll find out shortly. Again, a lot of people on the Facebook page were saying Blink 182. Yes, please. Are they big enough though to headline? Like over here, I know they are in America, but over here are they big enough? I feel like Papa Roach would be a better call. I see, I don't know. I think they've got enough uh nostalgic class. Well, this is what I was saying to Neil in the car on the way um back home from work earlier, it's the nostalgic feeling that I get from some vans. So, like last year when Green Day were announced, my little fucking child, like seven-year-old inner child was just like, yay, it's Green Day. I wasn't really too fucked about sleep token. Until you saw them. Until I saw them. They're actually quite good. But um that I that's why I was saying, yeah, same thing in the cards, like peep like bands like Skin Dread would be really good because again, it's a nostalgic feeling, so they would be good. Guns and Roses could not give a flying fuck about. I I don't like them. No, I mean Guns N' Roses from from having seen them, it's good and it does kind of have a nostalgic vibe to it, but the problem is Axl Rose. It's his voice, it's just like literally, it's like a chimp. In my opinion, you've got you've got the legendary bands like Guns N' Roses, like Metallica, like Iron Maiden, like I don't know, just all the bands that have been around for such a long time, and the ones like Metallica have done it really, really well. Guns N' Roses, in my opinion, have done nothing but shove it down our throats, and it's it it's not fun. That you know, there's only so many times I can hear fucking dickheads singing Paradise City and fucking sweet child of mine before I want to slip my wrist. Jesus. I don't like them. That's a strong take. Fucking hell. I just don't like them. I don't see the point. I don't get it. I've never seen them, so oh, I've never seen them either. I just don't get it. Well, you know, we can be there now when I'm laughing to talk to. You might enjoy it. Uh no. I mean, it is kind of enjoyable, to be fair, but it's just if Axel's voice is just awful. I mean, it could be worse, it could be Iron Maiden, and if it is Iron Maiden, I'm just gonna be so fucking pleased. I've never seen Iron Maiden live anymore. I don't want to see him live. I can't. It's musically on paper, yeah, cool, but I just don't like Bruce Dickinson. I just I just don't like him. Like fair play that he he you know he beat cans or everything like that, like you know, that's fair play, but I just still don't like him as a person. I just don't think he's yeah. I mean, anyone who falls out with Aussie Osborne, it's like really okay. So Martley Crue. I think that'd be even worse, to be honest. I mean, I think that's worse. Like, wasn't they like kicked off the Aussie thing anyway for wanting money? Yeah, they were. Yeah, yeah, they were. I mean there you go. But I mean, to be fair though, like Motley Crue would be worse, not because I don't like them, because I do like Motley Crew, it's just they can't they can't do it anymore, they can't do what they used to be able to do, so I I just don't just don't see it happening. Um yeah, we've got a few minutes left. So one last time we'll do our pre-predictions beforehand, our final ones. Booba. Sorry, I'm just looking at this. It's gonna be fucking Guns N' Roses, Limp Biscuit, and Lincoln Park. And what did you want as yours again? My chem, bring me, and slipknot. Damon? It's gonna be my chem. It's gonna be Ghost, and it's gonna be Lincoln Park. So, like Nikki said, I think it's gonna be Limp Biscuit, Guns N' Roses, Lincoln Park. But what I want it to be the headline recently, though. Who did? Link uh Mr. Biscuit. They didn't they subbed? Oh were they? Yeah, they're not. But again, this is what I said to Neil and Headline. Well, yeah, this is what I said to Neil and McCart. If Limp Biscuit do it, then you know, fair enough, because obviously the festival organisers booked the vans like years in advance. So maybe they were thinking at the time, okay, we'll get Limp Biscuit to sub and then get them to play headliner in a couple of years' time, but that's that's too close together. To my liking, they've got to think of from like a marketing perspective, because if you think about it, if you go to download a festival every year and you spend all that money, you're not gonna want to see the same bands over and over again, you're gonna want to see a variety, a different, different like kind of stage presence every single year. That's why this year, this year's 2025 and last year's 2024 were so drastically different from one another because this year we had what was it, Green Day Corn and Sleep Token. Last year, last year we had Queens of the Stone Age Fallout Boy, and I can't remember the third one. Oh, yeah, yeah, when they broke everything. Yeah, yeah. So not only was it such different in stage presence, it was It was a nice little cleanse of the palate type thing because we weren't gonna get the same thing. Yaman. That's the fucking drama nerd in me coming out. Yeah. So yeah, what I want it to be though is Ghost, Lincoln Park, and Parkway Drive. I don't think it's gonna be that. So I want to see Parkway on the main stage. Yeah, Parkway needs to come back on the main stage. I want to see my cam on the main stage. Even though they said that they weren't gonna do it again, I want to see them on the main stage. Is it the dog tooth, the Metal Stage, or is that the one in the campsite? Dog House is the one on the campsite. Dogtooth, isn't it? We still need to change that fucking name. Okay. Make the tent twice as big, please. And sort the fucking sound out as well. Right. I mean Baby Metals perform at demo multiple times. Yeah, they have. I mean it'd be different. It always rains when they're but is it always the uh the Saturday the play? No, they've played a Friday before now. Okay. So for me great if it rained for me, standout bands on there. Aside from the headliners, Trivium, Bad Omens, Architects, Electric Cowboy, Hailstorm, Mastodon, Theta, Pendulum, Cavaliera, Static X, and Behemoth. That that is Mastodon. I've said Mastodon. We've got Bush underneath, which is great. Bush. Always look at look like a little bit of bush underneath. Uh Mammoth Bangin. Pale for the Swiss, Periphery, Lamar. Sine Quin. Sine Quin. Sing Queen. And Lincoln Park was they're not a headliner. Those that was the comment that I saw. Yeah. Um, but I've had that in my head now for a while. I think it was like just after my birthday when I heard this. I don't remember where I heard it from or who said it, but I heard it from somewhere and I was like, okay, that kind of makes sense to me. I've had Lincoln Park in my head since last year. Because I really thought they were gonna well this year, because I really thought they were gonna play 2025. Me too. So I had them in my head. Electric Callboy, I've had in my head pretty much ever since ever since I started going to download that they were gonna be there. The question is, will baby metal get through a full set? No, and will it rain? It will rain. It will rain, and no, they won't. Please your bets. If it if it doesn't rain when baby metal are there, then hell has absolutely I'm not in the reality anymore and life as a simulation. Yeah, it's gonna be lovely weather, and then as soon as baby metal come in, it's gonna rain when they're gone, back to sun. It's gonna as soon as baby metal come on, it's gonna absolutely piss it down with rain, and you're still gonna be bone dry. I I didn't get to see them when well when Chester was still alive, so I'm I'm a bit upset about that, but I am leaning more into the new Lincoln Park stuff. Yeah. I mean I'm I'm happy because I get to see them again, because I saw them with Chester, so this will be a new experience for me. This is very true. But all three of those headlines I've seen. That's the first time that's the first time any gig that I've gone to where all three of the bands that are the top billers are ones that I've already seen before. I've only ever sinned compared uh Lip Biscuit, never sin component. I think I think this is telling me that I go to too many gigs. You know what? I think it is. Because if that's the case that I can go, I have seen all three of them, it's kind of like okay, what maybe you sit this year out then and I go to the on an even playing field. And it was the first song they did was the Fallen Angels one, and oh my fucking god, it was at all the Hampton Civic, it was so fucking tiny, it was £10, it was so fucking good. And it is like a guilty pleasure, yeah. Like every now and again I will throw on Blackwell Brides, and it's not something I really like to admit. Yeah, but I just Which you've just admitted to the internet. Yeah, I know, but Rick Rick is also uh on the same ball of saying Lincoln Park should be Saturday, Guns N' Roses Sunday. Yeah. So making you stay. So who out of them is gonna headline second stage? Bad omens. Electric callboy. Please. I don't think they will. I think they'll sub for bad omens. Just change Guns N' Roses to Micah and call it a rose or ghost or ghost and call it a day. Well well, they're notorious for not showing up, aren't they? That'd be really, really, really funny.
