The Pumpkin Patch Mum
The Patch Set Up Gang!
Welcome to The Pumpkin Patch Mum, a down-to-earth and heartwarming podcast where we explore the vibrant, sometimes messy life of farming, family, and everything in between! In today's episode, I'm joined by two of our long-standing team members, Ryan and Dave, who I like to call my personal "Pumpkin Patch Handymen." They’ve been hard at work helping transform the pumpkin patch, including a brand new project—converting a container into a display for our pumpkin patch merchandise and even building a lorry display for photos!
We'll chat about some of the most random and fun requests I've made, from setting up swings to creating a sandpit for the kids. Ryan and Dave share their thoughts on the best (and strangest) projects they’ve tackled and give us a behind-the-scenes look at how the patch has evolved over the years. Plus, we discuss their excitement for this season’s new features, like the bigger patch and the maze!
Tune in for a fun, laugh-filled episode as we celebrate the teamwork that brings our pumpkin patch to life.

Hello and welcome to the pumpkin patch mum, this is a heartwarming and down to Earth podcast where we dive into the vibrant, busy and sometimes messy life of me and mum who also happens to be a passionate pumpkin farmer. So today on the pumpkin Patch Mum's podcast, I am joined by Ryan. And Dave, now we've been working with them for years and years here at Fox's. And I like to call them my very own personal pumpkin patch handyman. So today they have been busy racking out one of the containers for me as we're going to display our pumpkin patch merchandise. So carving kits etcetera in one of the containers. So Ryan, Dave, what's it like being the pumpkin patch? Men.
Yeah, it's good. It's good laugh. It's it's nice. Nice being up here.
Yeah, it's. Like so wrong being out in the sun all day getting getting jobs done and and making the pumpkin patch more suitable.
So I do know that I asked some pretty random requests of you what's can you think of any of the most random things that I've? Asked you to do so far.
I think the most random one at the minute is probably the project we were on yesterday with the the new lorry that's gonna be on an exhibit this year. We've wrapped it out so the pumpkins can be displayed on on the back of it and like everyone can take photos in front of. Then I think that's definitely the the weirdest one we've built a few right, like other bits, like swings and goal posts and bits and pieces. But, but yeah, I think the the lorries definitely been the best one I've done so far.
And what's the best thing you've done?
Best thing I've done I quite enjoyed doing the sand pit for the for the kids play area and like, say, the goals football goals in in use. So it's quite satisfying.
Yeah, you've done loads to the field of. The area and have you both visited the pumpkin patch? What do you think? You excited for this year and all the changes we've done?
Yeah, hopefully. I mean, from being being up there since the the beginning is. Yeah. Yeah. Been there since since the start. It's definitely come on leaps and bounds over the years and this year looks to be sort of like even better the the patch that is looking bigger and bigger. Maze, maze maze as well. So yeah. Hopefully this year will be. Date and every other.
Year and Dave, have you been yet?
I haven't no, I haven't. Look.
You're gonna have to come have to come to one of the nights and then you'll be able to. See it all lit up and everything.
Yeah, yeah. So I'm looking forward to it. See, you see what your hard work and comes out to show it, doesn't it? So, like, so satisfying.
Perfect. Thanks very much. Foxes Farm Produce Pumpkins.
