Call the meeting to order at 5.56pm. I will make a motion to approve the February 4th minutes. Second All in favor, aye Opposed, none so voted. What's this? It's a piano Piano.
Speaker 2:Come over here.
Speaker 1:Organization representatives and official community members. I've seen none in the audience. All business.
Speaker 2:Just a few things to go through with you guys real quickly. Clark softball field it's not gonna happen this spring. We're gonna have to wait till the fall. Just, it's too close to the season. We are gonna be doing some conversions on the Clark softball field. We're gonna be making stone dust, just because it's too hard right now to keep up, especially in the summer months when the weeds come through. So we'd rather keep it dirt. But right now, just our situation, keep it in a good twain shape. We've got to go stone dust. Maybe we can go back to dirt, but right now. Last year we were literally cutting the infield down. We don't want that. Just to give you an idea on that one.
Speaker 2:The next thing we have on there is the Liberty Playground. I know we're going back and forth, but I did get some information from Game Time Playgrounds. The cost of the materials is about $1,000 to fix the decks, but it's the labor which is the cost, and they told me it was going to be a daily labor rate of about $2,300, and they estimate about two or three days to do it. So in retrospect, what we're looking at is probably, let's say, $10,000 to repair and get the new ones out or close to $18,000, $19,000 just to get new decks. And if they do it, I'm assuming that's the warranty part of it, right? Yes, of course, if we just did it ourselves, there's no warranty.
Speaker 2:Exactly this is something that and I've been talking to him only certain people have ever tried this before you got to shut it off. Is it that switch right there? Come on, buddy, come over here. Yeah, it's that one over there. It's just a cost, it's a risk. I don't know how good it is, but again, you don't have the guy that I usually brought in to do a lot of repairs. He's never done this before. He's going to be sending somebody different, somebody that's not familiar with it, with every repair, though what's the workmanship on it?
Speaker 1:you know they. They didn't do it exactly. No, they didn't do it exactly, as opposed to having Us do it Okay.
Speaker 2:You know, but us doing it, I just don't. We just don't have the guys to do it. If that makes any sense to you, you know. But so that's where we are there. So I'll reach out and see if we can get it set up and I'll try. Most likely we won't get anybody out here until the week after school ends and before camp begins.
Speaker 1:You gotta sign a book with the analyze, we'll see, daddy. So that's that. So let and try to get this thing going, but we really do want to make sure we have it during a week like that when nobody's around, to go on those Daddy.
Speaker 2:When is the exact time frame he's looking at? As long as we get everything out, we're looking at probably the week of June 23rd. Oh, that would be perfect, because the kids would just be out in this enough time and we don't stop camp until the third Right, probably the week of June 23rd.
Speaker 1:Oh, that would be perfect, kids would just be out in this enough time, and we don't stop camp until the 30th.
Speaker 2:Right Right, all right. Cool beans, all right. The next thing we have on there is the rental property. I know I sent you guys an email. I'm still waiting on official word from Ted. I did meet you all at the beginning of yesterday. It's just an opinion of where we are, where we believe, yeah, and what the town believes. We just wanna make sure we do this correctly. Everything in the house is ready to go. I'm just very confused on how you do bids on rent. So that's a our rent, the way we set it at 2,500, under the 30,000, under $35,000. So hopefully that works for us. So I'll keep you guys informed. Once we have that, then we'll do an open house and get this thing going, because I'm ready for something to happen.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we need someone to look after this. Yes, I have this question. The next thing we have, guys, is the Bettencourt field. We kind of have to make up our mind tonight. Are we going to shut this thing down this spring or are we better off leaving it here? We have everything going on right now. Given the school, you took off a lot of time making sure we give the girls lacrosse enough time, even though we do have a backup. I recommend my personal opinion is to hold off till next year.
Speaker 1:Okay, that you know, I know. And what do you mean next year? You mean like next fall, Next spring, Next spring Get through football season and then thanks bud.
Speaker 2:And then, if we can do that, I know and I'm gonna keep it very quiet over the summertime, yes, which would lead me to girls lacrosse. What I would recommend with them is we just let them play games and I know they wanted a couple of nice practices there we just tell them to try to save the field and keep it. As I move them either a different night to rms or salt school. Okay, you guys have any issues? Just to just do it, because I know the schools are going to. They have a request in for an event in april yeah, and the summer is not busy anyway and we cut the grass higher at that point. So one more year isn't going to kill us and make sure we have the right process we want, with all the correct bids, and get that field correct. Now, when is the crossover? It's usually like mid-June, right, they have their permit until June 1st Once they get through Labor Day weekend the cross is basically done for boys and girls, so I'm kind of there.
Speaker 2:And so just one last thing on Eagle Scalp Steve and I did I did speak to them after the last meeting yeah, they are also doing the benches over here at the gazebo Excellent, and I am gonna meet with them later on this month, early April, once the weather gets a little better. Thank you, I love you and we'll get back to all of you. No, leave it alone, you're okay. Thank you, bud. Right, there's good, that's a good squat. Yes, that's a great squat.
Speaker 1:You are okay Good.
Speaker 2:Good, good, alright, let's bring this on to new business. Anyone else want to let you guys know that the school did approach us while taking over the R-net program at the time of the Apollo Apollo. Look, you see a cloud. I did have to email the state Again. I'm waiting my answers Because we want to make sure that we're good. One, we have to make sure we have the staff here, which that's going to be a whole other summer project, but two we want to make sure that we have. There's a clown over there.
Speaker 1:I see it. Come here, buddy. There's a clown over there. I see it. Come here, buddy. I see it, my friend, come here, there's a clown, there's a clown. Yeah, on the wall, yeah right here, sorry, there.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we want to make sure. If we do do it, we have to obviously go correctly through EDC in the state and we want to make sure we start in September and not go halfway through the cause of fusion. So I have the email out, I'm waiting it back from our licensor. I'm going to be seeing her sometime over the next month anyway, because of relicensing the metal, so we're in the process of that as well. So that's just the update there and I'll keep you guys informed of where we're at. We are looking at all options.
Speaker 2:Okay, brings us on to our many currents. First, we have in front of us is for two jerks. They like to do a barbecue food festival. They gave me a bunch of dates but they did not work, so I went back and forth. August 23rd on the Hazebo field. There's no sports going on that day. There's no horse shows. So those are the two conflicting things that are going on. They're looking for a Saturday. Again, it's August 23rd, from 12 to 7. Right now there are no conflicts. A few things they would have to do is one they would need to get the field permit through us first and then they would have to go through the health department for any vendor that goes there, and also they want to bring in local brewers, so they have to get an alcohol permit as well.
Speaker 2:That doesn't call it, but we would send a letter, so I would put a letter together If you guys do recommend we do that, and the fee for the seven hours would be $245. The only question I have is it needs to be at least something like this. I would recommend they do that as well, something like that.
Speaker 2:You know, because you know how busy those things can be. Yes, that, coming out of there and all the parking, and I'm not going to lie, I'll be just coming back from Florida that day, so I really won't be around, and that would obviously be on that. Yes, all that's on that. Yes, sir, okay.
Speaker 1:I don't have any issues with it. I do think there needs to be a police detail, Yep, Because I think you know it's gonna be a crowded event, and especially with all involved, you know, and it's on our property, so I want to make sure everything is.
Speaker 2:The other thing I want to tell them is it's a rainy day. You have to cancel, yeah, because you don't want to. That was going to be my question. Do they have a rainy day? They didn't specify a rainy day. The following weekend is Labor Day. So I don't know how busy it would be on Labor Day weekend, right, but they just mentioned one day to me. So if they wanna ask for a ring date, we can adjust it to that. I don't see any problem. But the following weekend anyway, you know, on a Sunday the horse people are on, so it's kinda tough.
Speaker 1:That's a tough one, and once soccer starts, I don't want anything with alcohol going on and once soccer starts I don't want anything like alcohol going on. I'm making a motion to approve, with the fee of $245 pending with the re-run of the soccer game and they would again have to go through the health department and make sure every event that they have is and we will please detail.
Speaker 1:I'm sure they can just select and we'll be wanting them to help. Oh, absolutely yeah, but I just want to address that we want that Motion to approve. Yeah, all in favor. Aye, so moved.
