Desiree Robolt and Benita Freelon Episode 27

Join Desiree & Benita, two former educators, discussing life after leaving the classroom and what it looks life creating the life they desire! In this week's episode, the dynamic duo discuss a heavy subject...death. Not in a sad way though. It's more of a, "what legacy do you want to leave behind?" kinda conversation.

This episode is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Florence Wooten—a brilliant optometrist, trailblazer, and beloved pillar in Houston’s African American community. Her passing inspired us to reflect on the dash—the space between the years of birth and death—and what it means to truly live and leave a legacy.

As they move into the episode topic, Desiree & Benita discuss what they want to be remembered for as well as what they don't want to be remembered for...like being labeled a "special friend" in anybody's obituary. The ladies also discuss their desire to impact the world before that faithful day comes. Also, did these two just plan their funeral live on the podcast? Chile...you just have to listen. Lol

For tools and resources, Benita provides a calming meditation to bring some peace and light to the conversation. We promise it's not THAT morbid of a conversation! ;)

We hope you love this episode! Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to Desire to Be Free. Found any gems in this episode? Share it with another beauty, because our goal is to liberate women all across the world. Thanks for listening! :)
