Hey. Know what you're saying. What is wrong with this man? What is wrong with him? Well, I'm just grateful to be alive right now. That's the most important thing for me. Just being alive right now is a great thing, right? So, O'Reilly, tell me what's going on with you right now? Where are you in your journey? Are you in a good space? Are you feeling good? Do you feel like sharing? Or are you struggling? Tell me. But I gotta warn you that I'm always gonna remind you that we have gotten through a hundred percent of the things that were sent to destroy us. Right, even in this second, right? So this means no matter what you may be facing, you have evidence that you can get through it. So, warrior, if you can hear the sound of my voice, that means you are on a positive trajectory. That you are on a journey that will be a positive outcome. That's one of the mindsets we have to have being a warrior in today's society. So come on in. Remember, here at the Mind of a Warrior Podcast, you can take off your armor for a moment. You can lay down your weapons for a moment, you can breathe a sigh of relief because you are surrounded by fellow warriors that understand that most of the time we have to be on guard, we have to be looking everywhere. But see, when you get in a space that is safe like this, you can relax for a minute, yeah. Now, people that know me personally, they understand and they know that I have some health issues that cause chronic pain for me, and sometimes they ask me, Well, how can you get up and do the things that you do? Being in such chronic pain, and I always say, you know, it's it's about my spirit, it's about the spirit that God placed in me, right? If you have the mindset to say, even though I feel like this or or this is hurting me, or that is hurting me, but you have an objective and you push through, it goes over the physicality of the thing, right? It goes to your mindset, and your mindset is what basically your spirit on how you are going to do the things that you want to do. So, the question is: can spiritual strength dictate physical issues? And from a warrior perspective, and that's mine at this point, the answer is absolutely yes. In fact, a fundamental tenet of the warrior mindset across history and disciplines is that the physical body is merely the instrument, while the spirit or internal resolve is the commander. Let me repeat that. The physical body is merely the instrument, while the spirit or internal resolve is the commander. When spiritual strength falters or excels, the physical body reflects that state. I'm going to give you a breakdown of how spiritual strength directly dictates, manages, and even sometimes overrides physical issues. Number one, the somatic reflection, the mind over body bridge. In modern psychology or coaching, we often talk about somatic responses, which is how the body manifests internal states. From a warrior standpoint, spiritual weakness such as a loss of purpose, internal conflict, or broken focus, can break down the body's natural defenses. Stress and vitality. When a warrior loses their why, their spiritual anchor, the mind registers a threat it cannot fight. This triggers a constant cascade of cortisol and adrenaline. Physically, this manifests as chronic fatigue, muscle tension, gut issues, and a compromised immune system. The overloaded shield? If you are fighting an internal war, such as unaligned values or unresolved internal conflicts, your physical energy is drained just trying to keep the peace inside of yourself. How many of you have had to do things that you thought were less than your values or less than your what you felt that you should do, and it causes an internal tug of war. Do I do this to get the promotion? Do I do this because I want to rise in the company? Man, you become clumsy, slow to recover, and prone to injury because internal issues are entirely depleted. Internal resources, excuse me, are entirely depleted. You can't fight anymore, you don't you don't feel like it, right? And this is all due to how your spirit is, it's so valuable. I tell people this all the time that we are spiritual beings living in a physical world, we are spiritual beings living in our physical world, which means that what we believe spiritually is much more important even than what we do physically. Now, physical limits are rarely structural, they are usually mental and spiritual boundaries. The brain has a built-in safety mechanism that tells the body it is exhausted when it is has actually only used about forty percent of its energy. A warrior with high spiritual strength uses their deep-seated purpose to override the governor or the brain. Spiritual strength also allows a warrior to experience physical pain or a physical limitation without letting it dictate their mental state. The pain exists in the body, but the spirit refuses to let it become suffering or a reason to quit. Let me say that again. Spiritual strength allows the warrior to experience physical pain or a physical limitation without letting it dictate their mental state. The pain exists in the body, but the spirit refuses to let it become suffering or a reason to quit. I walk that one every day. I don't know about you, but warrior, I walk that one every day. Now, see when a warrior spirit is aligned and strong, it acts as a psychological and sociological buffer. When your spiritual state as a warrior is aligned and purpose-driven, it manifests in lowering resting heart rate, controlled breathing, and has a high pain threshold. The impact on action means that it is fluid in its in our execution, it also allows for rapid recovery and flow state execution. Likewise, when your spiritual state is fractured and conflicted, it produces elevated cortisol, shallow breathing, muscle tightness, and early fatigue. The impact is it causes hesitation, high risk of injury, and also quick physical burnout. I've also been there. Now, although it can be hard, warrior, I know that if you've gotten to today, you have learned how to override those things mentally and even physically at some points that came against you. You have learned how to override even structural deficiencies. History and combat sports are filled with examples of individuals who physically have failed but whose internal resolve forced the body to cross the finish line. If a warrior has a broken bone, torn ligament, or extreme illness, spiritual strength cannot magically knit the tissue back together instantly. However, it dictates how the body manages the issue. A strong spirit can anchor the mind so deeply in the present moment that the nervous system suppresses pain signals, allowing the individual to perform heroic physical feats despite severe physical trauma. See, for me that means the body is incredible, but the mind is something different. Yeah, it's something different. Conversely, if the spirit is broken, a minor physical ailment can feel like an insurmountable wall, causing a person to completely collapse under the weight of it. In my youth, I was kind of like that sometimes. Because I wasn't used to being opposed. Yeah, but uh, it comes and it goes. Now, the warrior's viewpoint. The body is a faithful servant, but a terrible master. When the spirit is anchored in absolute certainty and purpose, the body will find a way to execute. When the spirit doubts, the body looks for an excuse to quit. So, warrior, I want to tell you right now, right? From the person looking outside, you may have all the reasons in the world to want to give up, to want to give in. But see, that person can only look and see what's on the outside. That person doesn't feel the things you feel. That person doesn't see the things that you see out of your eyes. They don't know and understand what you've been through to be standing where you are right now. There's a saying that says, Thank God I don't look like what I've been through. And that statement is generally something that many of us warriors have heard and felt and are an example of, actually. So this message is short, and and I just want to encourage you, warrior, to know your worth, to learn your strength, to learn your weaknesses, to govern yourselves with the wisdom and knowledge that you have gained through a lifetime up until this point of experiences. As I've said in the past with you, Warrior, even when we lose, we win.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Even when we lose, we win.

SPEAKER_02

We have that experience now, we have clearer vision to see the attacks forming, even before they can come against us. We've learned because of the experience of how to escape and come back another day. The warrior learns from every situation, and he uses that information to prepare himself for the next fight. Because we understand we are either in the beginning, in the middle, or about to exit a fight. But whatever state we are in, once we learn ourselves and what we can do, we'll know how to attack whatever it is that was foolish enough to try to attack us. Yeah. So now in the beginning, I asked you, where are you in your walk? Is everything good? Are you in a struggle? Are you fighting to survive? And also I'll let you know that you can be comfortable here, that you can relax, that you can lay down your armor, that you can lay down your swords. Just coming and exhale. Yeah, relax.

SPEAKER_01

And now, as I prepare myself to go back out on the battlefield, I'm gonna breathe in. Breathe out. Yeah, breathe in. Breathe out one more time. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Sometimes you need to just relax. Focus. And remember that there is no one better than you. There is no one on this earth better than you. And no one can do the same things that you do. Exactly. You're a special one, warrior. Don't ever forget that. Yeah. Don't ever forget it. Until next with time, warriors. Stand strong. Cheer.
