Meet Serena—motorcyclist, Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach, and a woman who's discovered that teaching people to ride is about much more than motorcycles.

In this episode of MotorFemmes, Kay talks with Serena about learning to ride at 36, becoming a motorcycle instructor, and facing the same self-doubt and perfectionism she now sees in many of the women who come through her classes.

Serena shares what happens when new riders stop apologizing for their mistakes, give themselves permission to be beginners, and discover they're capable of doing something that once seemed too difficult or scary.

They also talk about motorcycle safety, the power of women supporting women, finding community later in life, and how the confidence we build on a motorcycle can follow us into everything else we do.

Because learning to ride isn't just about controlling a motorcycle. It's about learning to trust yourself, own your space, and stop saying, “I just…”

At MotorFemmes, we celebrate women who are willing to try, make mistakes, keep learning—and discover just how capable they really are.
