Hey guys, it's Trish. Welcome to another episode of the podcast y'all, episode three. This episode we're going to talk about a topic that I know is always covered by a lot of people, but hear me out, we're going to approach it from a different lens. Okay, it's because I am me and I am abundantly creative up in this big old head of mine. So hear me out, y'all.
Speaker 1:Whenever people talk about scarcity, they always approach it from the mindset of money. Right, like, don't have a scarcity mindset when it comes to money. Think that money will come to you abundantly and the money gods okay, that control the money trees, will suddenly start making money fall down from the money heavens and make it rain on us. And, yes, while I do believe in that to a certain extent, lord, please make it rain money on me. There's so many areas in our lives other than finances and career that we can start practicing an abundant mindset, one area that's not often talked about that I have recognized that I want to increase my abundance, and kindness shouldn't be scarce In this world. We should be infinitely kind to one another. Okay, as a fragrance girly, for instance, right, my fellow fragrance lovers out there y'all know that when you're a fragrance person and you put on your scent of the day or you do your little mixture, mixture, layering a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and you walk out the house and somebody tells you oh, you smell so good. Oh, child, like the way that makes us feel, because it's like I love to smell good, but you smell that I smell good. Like you notice that your girl is smelling amazing, she's smelling divine, baby. That lifts my mood so much. And yet when other people around me smell good, I don't say anything. I would just think it in my head. I want to be the type of person that tells people that they smell good If somebody's wearing an outfit and they are rocking that outfit. I want to be somebody to be like girl, girl, you doing it, you are doing it, you killing it out here with this outfit. Like I want to be somebody who's abundantly kind.
Speaker 1:The second area that I personally want to practice abundance in and I don't want to live in scarcity in, but yet, at the same time, it's not something that I often hear other people talk about, and with this one, I just want to let you know that by no means am I forcing anything upon y'all If you don't believe in this, you don't believe in it. I want to be someone who's abundantly living in faith. I'm finding that because I have scarcity mindset when it comes to faith. I try to control everything, and we all know you can't control everything. Like majority of things in life, you just cannot control, and I drive myself nuts with this overthinking, highly anxious life that I've been living because I'm operating in scarcity when it comes to my faith. And so I want to learn to be somebody who's abundantly faithful, someone who doesn't anything that happens to me baby, I'm not stressing, I'm not worried about it. Okay, because if it was meant to be, it would be. If it's not meant to be, it will not be. Just do the best that I can and not stress out about the outcomes of things. I want faithfulness to be so abundantly present in my life that I'm just like a chill, cool cat. Okay, I'm going to be a cool cat because I'm so swimming in faith. So, like case in point yesterday, right, let me tell you guys. Let me tell you guys, okay, I went to the ATM yesterday to take cash out the ATM. I took money out the ATM y'all and I was like okay, cool, we're chilling, chilling. Whatever Got in my Uber came home, y'all.
Speaker 1:When I got home, I could not find my debit card for the life of me. I was like I opened my stuff, I said where is my debit card? And I could have sworn that. I put the debit card in in my wallet. The highly anxious person in me started like I was like oh my god, I could have sworn. I put it in my wallet, like I remember putting it in my wallet, but I don't see it. Like what's happening? Where's my card? And then I have to be like okay, girl, girl, girl, girl, chillax, be faithful. Okay, you gonna be all right. Maybe it just slipped out and it fell into your bag. Take things out of your wallet. Take things out of your bag, slow down. Okay, and I ended up finding it. It was in my wallet the whole time, but instead of putting it face up, I had put it face down. Let's say it's a black card, honey. Let's say it's the color black, because you know we about to have a black card at some point in our lives. Okay, because we speaking that into existence. Let's say it's the color black I'm so used to knowing. Okay, if I see the color black, like that's that, that's that card. But instead I had put it in flip the opposite way and it was the color white and I didn't see the black, you know, in the wallet. And so that's what ended up happening. But it was in my wallet the entire time and so I was just like you know what. I'm very good job, girl.
Speaker 1:You practicing living in faith, abundantly faithful Because, baby, my mind was like somebody done took my money. Every single penny I have in my bank account is gone now and I'm never going to get it back, oh my God. And instead I was just like, girl, have some faith. And you, panicking and freaking out is not going to help you. It's not going to serve a purpose. It's not going to serve a purpose. It's not going to solve the problem.
Speaker 1:So other examples of ways that I am practicing faith I got me a faith journal. Right, like I love journaling and the way that I journal is usually talking to myself. Right, like I'd be like girl. What were you thinking when this person said this to you and you didn't clap back? Like what were you thinking? Cause person said this to you and you didn't clap back. Like what were you thinking Because you should have checked them. Yeah, usually my journal is, you know, I talk to myself, like it's me writing down my thoughts, my feelings about myself or about things that I want to improve or whatever. But this time I bought a faith journal in which and my journal is so cute, y'all my new journal is so cute, it's so cute, it's so cute when I am going to change kind of like my journaling style and talk to God more right Like this is me writing down my thoughts and my feelings and just putting it before, like God, and asking God for guidance and asking God for favor, or asking God to give me wisdom on how to resolve the situation, or, if it's something positive, just thanking him for everything.
Speaker 1:But if you don't believe in God, then obviously you know what I mean. Tweak it, tweak it to however you want to tweak it, and I've started just turning to God. We get and I've started just like turning to God for like different things in my life. Right, like before I record a podcast episode, I just do a quick little prayer. Like God, I'm about to record this podcast episode.
Speaker 1:I ask that you you know, allow me to be myself. I ask that you allow me to be genuine and authentic and be me, and that I can come up with things that I can say that would be beneficial for somebody, or that will help somebody, or that will entertain somebody, that you just give me the guidance, you give me the patience you know to create something that you know can be put out into the world to better the world. Like a quick little something, something so just like little things like that throughout my day, you know, before I leave my house, I do a quick little prayer Like God, thank you so much for blessing me with a peaceful home, because everyone doesn't have that. And I just ask that you watch, you know you watch my home for me while I'm out, you know, and and that you can bestow me with the honor of coming back to it and returning to it at the end of the day. Like just quick little things throughout my day, to just like be more in relationship with God and, you know, to live more abundantly faithful. So that's another area.
Speaker 1:So the next area that I want to work on that we often don't talk about is I want to be someone who abundantly shares my skills and talents for the greater good of the world. We all have unique talents and gifts and we have, like, different things. That's special and unique to us and oftentimes, like the only people who benefit from it is either ourselves or like our immediate families. And I want to be somebody who lives abundantly in my skills and my talents because they've been given to me for a reason and, you know, when I share them with other people, it feels good to know that it's benefiting them in return. You know what I mean. Like I want to be somebody who does that more abundantly, abundantly live in my gifts and my talents and stop being scarce about that.
Speaker 1:In addition to this podcast, there's two other things that I'm trying to abundantly like work on sharing. So I love, for instance, love, love, love organizing things. Like I love cleaning and organizing and decluttering and like I just love it so much whether it's something physical, like a physical space, like a closet or a bedroom or, like you know, a living room or a basement or an attic or something like that. But I also love like decluttering and clearing out digital spaces, emails, hard drives. Like decluttering and clearing out digital spaces, emails, hard drives, spreadsheets, data databases, data systems. I love stuff like that Organizing and creating systems for other things like budgets, finances, helping people organize their thoughts, you name it. I love helping people Like, I love organizing different things, and I was like you know, I would love to be able to use that skill of mine and live and abundantly share it with others.
Speaker 1:And so I've been toying with the idea of creating like either side hustle or a business that helps people declutter and organize, and the twist to it will be like I can help you declutter not just your physical space, but help you declutter your mind, help you declutter, you know, like, your laptop, your hard drive, your, your pictures, your photos. And you know, I've been operating from this mindset of like who would want help with stuff like that? Who would want help organizing pictures on their phone? Who would want help organizing Google Drive folders at their job or something like that? Who would want help organizing their budget? Who would want help from me, little old me? Why not? Why don't I switch to an abundant mindset of? There are infinite people out there that would love to benefit from this skill that I have, this thing that I'm passionate about, this thing that I love doing, and that comes very easy to me. It doesn't come easy to everybody. So why not share that with the world for the greater good of the world? So why not share that with the world for the greater good of the world? You know what I mean.
Speaker 1:So another area that I think, for instance, that I want to work on getting rid of a scarcity mindset around that you know you don't often hear people talk about is I want to be someone who's abundantly kind to myself. Why do I sparingly say kind words to me? That makes no sense. Y'all, I'll be hard on myself all day. Like, oh my God girl, you forgot to send this email. What is wrong with you? Oh my God girl, you made a mistake. You know in this. What is wrong with you? Right?
Speaker 1:Like we practice such scarcity around kindness to ourselves and patience with ourselves and I want to stop that. Like I want to be somebody who practices abundantly being kind to myself, to practice self-care. You know how many times y'all be like oh, I don't have time to do that. I want to do this, but I don't have time to do that. Well, I'm going to make time. Okay, if it's going to help my mental, my physical or my emotional or my spiritual, make time. You still alive, you breathing. So there is time, use it.
Speaker 1:I want to practice having infinite words of affirmations for myself, infinite, abundantly live in positive affirmations to me, myself and I. That's what I want to start practicing. And when I start to blame myself for something or start to get at myself because I forgot something, or start to be hard on myself because I haven't achieved something yet or it's taking me longer to do something, or I can't figure out how to do something, or whatever, to flip that like, stop that real quick and replace it with a positive, replace it with something abundantly kind. It doesn't help the world that we practice such scarcity when it comes to kindness to ourselves. If you are not the best you, if you don't feel your best, if you don't believe in your best, then you can't be your best and others benefit from you being the best version of you, right? Your kids, your coworkers, your boss, your parents, your siblings, yourself, right.
Speaker 1:And so I think that's another area of like, abundance that we don't often hear about, that I want to start like, I want to start practicing and I want to start doing. I also want to practice living in abundance when it comes to money and finances and career as well. I just wanted to kind of focus on the things that people often don't talk about. All right, focus on the things that people often don't talk about, all right, that is it y'all. I will see you guys in the next episode and if this was helpful to you at all, please abundantly leave your messages to let me know that it was helpful and join the tribe, join us, Join the community, why not? It's a weird way to end the podcast, but I'm out and I will see you guys in the next one. Bye.
