Guest Speaker Series: Ep. 3: Venizelos, The King, and The November Events
Hey everyone! I had the pleasure to speak with Dr. Dale Pappas, a Greek-American author and educator based in Miami, Florida, and Athens, Greece. Dr. Pappas holds a PhD in Modern European History, and researches the history of tourism in the Mediterranean and the political history of Modern Greece. We talked specifically about an article he wrote, titled "The Strange Story of How Greece Joined the Entente in WW1", which is about the Noemvriana, or the November Events. This event, while often overlooked played a significant role in our story, and I thought it would be best to bring in Dr. Pappas to have a frank discussion on what happened, and the tensions between the King and Venizelos.
