Vegans Talking Shit
Vegans are a controversial, much-maligned group, but we're all just regular human beings who live, love, and laugh. And man, can we talk shit. Join Jon, Vanessa, and Joey as we talk shit about what it's like to be vegan. Every week, we'll be talking shit about a different topic related to living a vegan lifestyle; the good, the bad, and the ugly. But since we seem to be completely incapable of staying on topic, we also talk shit about music, movies, comic books, and anything else that might come up during the conversation. So tune in to Vegans Talking Shit, available weekly on Apple Podcasts, Amazon, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts. Visit us @veganstalkingshit on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube and @vegans.talking.sh on TikTok. Vegans Talking Shit
The 2026 Potluck Brunch, Part Two
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We're diving back into the beautiful chaos for the second half of The Tofu Trio's inaugural Vegans Talking Shit Potluck Brunch. Joey keeps the party moving while battling the noise that only a crowded vegan gathering can provide. First at bat is Elvera the Vegan Realtor, who talks about her role in helping to open local plant-based businesses and her past life as a co-host of a different provocatively named vegan podcast. She and Joey find common ground in the dietary irony of being vegans who don't actually like vegetables, and then commiserate over the struggle of dealing with restaurant staff who don't know what the word "vegan" means. Then friend of the show Brad steps to the plate. After he and Joey spend some time laughing at their uncanny resemblance, they revisit Brad's greatest hits as a recurring guest before falling down a rabbit hole of movie talk and the weird "what-ifs" of AI-generated cinema. Finally, the real MVP of the day, Vanessa, brings it all home. She immediately humbles Joey by pointing out that the guests could have actually been wearing the microphones rather than holding them like amateurs. After making Joey look like an idiot, she explains her Brazilian carrot cake, which tasted amazing despite a suspicious lack of carrot flavor. Then they reveal the big news: a Shopify store is officially in the works so you can finally snag some Vegans Talking Shit merchandise! They wrap up the day with a deep dive into figure skating and coffee, finally putting a lid on the first-ever Vegans Talking Shit Potluck Brunch.

Hey everybody, welcome to Vegans Talking Shit. I'm Joey, and this is part two of our episode taking place during our Vegans Talking Shit, Vegan Potluck Brunch. Same shit. It's just gonna be interviews, interviews, conversations with our guests. And uh yeah, that's it. No, nothing really else important to say. So just enjoy. Hey everybody, I'm here with Elvira. She is known as the Vegan Realtor. Does that mean you only sell to vegans, or just that you are vegan?
SPEAKER_03But I'm vegan, but I have helped quite a few businesses uh vegan businesses open vegan Sierra. You were part of that? Yeah. Oh I love vegan Sierra. Okay. Um also Zaley Cakes. Oh, I love it. And a few others I've consulted with that I'm not privy to discuss, but yeah, I'm in the vegan community for sure. Oh vegan food business community. And also I do residential professional.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So if you need any real estate work in the South Florida area, Elvira, the vegan realtor.
unknownThat's right.
SPEAKER_01So you were just telling me before I interrupted you and said save it for the recording. Uh, you said that you have had a podcast before. I'm very curious.
SPEAKER_03My friends will tell me. They're in the vegan community as well. We had a podcast. We did like three episodes. Okay, get this. You want to hear the name? Yeah. It's called Vegan Vaginas Talk.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Uh and it was Are there talking vaginas in this? No, it's just it means women.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_03So it was three different women from three totally different backgrounds, different ages, different personalities, different nationalities, different races. And we had quite a few interesting conversations. We just uh we didn't plan the mic up. Sorry. We didn't plan on uh recording.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, and then we just started talking about these very intimate vegan things, and then one of my friends was like, we should record this. And every time we went out, he would say we should record this, and then we started recording our conversation. It was wild and very interesting.
SPEAKER_01How many episodes?
SPEAKER_03Like three episodes. There's somewhere in the in the episode world.
SPEAKER_01Okay, vegans, but vegan vaginas talking.
SPEAKER_03Vegan vaginas talk. There might even be, I think one of the girls might even have uh an Instagram still up. I I don't know. But I don't think they're on it. But that was like three years ago, so don't look for it, okay?
SPEAKER_01I'm looking for it. I'm intrigued. Wow, okay. Interesting.
SPEAKER_03How many episodes have you guys have?
SPEAKER_01I believe this one right now would be episode 74. I could be wrong.
SPEAKER_03Oh 74, great.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but then they're also they're also um is that where you were born? No, it can't be. You're way younger than me.
SPEAKER_02Just thinking.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Uh yeah, we we have 74 like official episodes and then like see 10 or 11 bonus episodes.
SPEAKER_03What are bonus episodes?
SPEAKER_01They're well, they're just not in the continuity. Like we just have honestly, it's just a reason to post a second episode on a given week because we release an episode every single week.
SPEAKER_03Oh, see, this is so much. Every Tuesday we couldn't get together. Yeah. That's why it ended. We couldn't get together that often. So I feel like you have to be consistent.
SPEAKER_01We began doing it audio only, and I would go to John and Vanessa's place and record. The problem was that I'd be lugging the audio equipment and then editing. Yeah. And it was just it wasn't sustainable. And then John found StreamYard and we were able to do it remotely, and that's allowed us to be able to continue to do it week after week, even as my schedule got much, much more intense when I had to go back to the office, which I'm still extremely bitter and resentful about.
SPEAKER_03But sorry about that.
SPEAKER_01It's it's okay.
SPEAKER_03Um yeah, so I think if we had if we were privy to some type of recording where we could, you know, oh also none of us had a techie background, so we didn't know how to edit. We needed somebody that knew what they were doing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, I am ostensibly that person. Um unfortunately, I'm not really that techie or maybe I am to some people, but to me I'm not.
SPEAKER_03The episodes look pretty good.
SPEAKER_01Well, thank you. Thank you.
SPEAKER_03I'm interviewing you. Have you ever been interviewed? Maybe I should interview you.
SPEAKER_01Let's do it. Interviewing. Okay.
SPEAKER_03How many years have you been vegan?
SPEAKER_01Uh what is it?
SPEAKER_03Let's switch it up.
SPEAKER_01It's March. So it'll be 14 years in May.
SPEAKER_0314, wow.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I've been vegan since uh yeah, since uh May 2012. Um, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Wow. Um I've been vegan for seven. Okay, but I haven't had meat in like over 20 years. Okay, so you were vegetarian for a few years. Yeah, I was a vegetarian. Yeah, and uh, yeah, and then I still ate fish for a while, and then I just had like this moment where um I was in a restaurant with a girlfriend, and I and I looked up my salmon, and I was just like, ugh, like I just got really grossed out um that I was eating dead fish, and I was like, okay, that's it, and that was I was done.
SPEAKER_01How difficult was the transition for you going vegetarian to vegan?
SPEAKER_03Um the first time I tried being vegan, like for two weeks, uh, I was like, you know how like people that were vegan but then they're not, they say really stupid shit. Yeah. Excuse my French.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I say fuck all the time.
SPEAKER_03Okay, okay, that's good. That's a good F word. Um and then you know, they just say ridiculous stuff, and that was me for two weeks. Yeah, I did have headaches. I I don't know what I was doing. Um not that any of us really know what we're doing, but for those two weeks, I just you know I stopped eating everything cold turkey, and somehow I had headaches and I just didn't know what I was doing.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_03But that was that only lasted two weeks, and then I was like, I'm doing something wrong. Right. So I tried again and had no problems. Okay. Zero problems. I mean, I think if you incorporate beans and nuts and legumes and all that stuff, you're fine. And if anybody knows me, they know I'm not even a healthy eater. Yeah, me neither. I I really don't do a lot of salads, I don't cook. You all know I don't cook. Um, so if I can do it, you're fine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, I'm not a healthy eater. I'm not a healthy eater either. Uh for me, it's the the extent of my cooking is turn the oven to 450, put in my frozen garden products with 20 minutes. Use an air fryer. Okay.
SPEAKER_03I don't cook. But you know what? Lately, okay, don't tell anybody because then my reputation will get ruined. But lately, like I'll just take whatever veggies I have. It's really simple. This is for people that don't cook, like me, and you. Take whatever veggies you have in the fridge because we buy veggies, right? And then you just they're having a lot of fun over there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03We're at a fun potlock right now. Um it's getting wild. But anyway, so I take some veggies and I put it in a pan. Coconut oil is my choice, but I'm an avocado oil man. I use it, I was just gonna say, I use avocado oil if I don't, if I if either coconut oil or avocado oil.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Olive oil is not supposed to, supposedly we're not supposed to be using it, but anyway, so and I just take like, let's say I open a can of beans and whatever veggies I have, frozen or fresh, I just throw them in a pan, and it's so simple. And it's it's so healthy and so simple, and literally takes me under five minutes. Yeah. And I don't cook.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know, like if you to if you buy frozen vegetables, this is a life act, really easy. You just rinse them, throw them in the in the you know, saucepan or any anything you have. I don't even have wok. Yeah, anything. I just throw it in whatever is available. And just for like five minutes, saute it, you're done.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, I'm a vegan who doesn't like vegetables, so that wouldn't work for me.
SPEAKER_03Vegetables either. But you just said No, I know, but I know, but I'm telling you, if you just put enough beans and and and mushrooms and you know, a lot of salt and pepper and spices, whatever. I know some people like things spicy, but if you just put a lot of spices in it, you don't even taste the vegetables.
SPEAKER_01It's actually kind of remarkable. We're both vegans who don't like vegetables. We do exist. You can be vegan and people make fun of me all the time.
SPEAKER_03Like my non-vegan friends actually eat more salads and veggies than I do. Do you have that issue?
SPEAKER_01I do. Yeah. If I go to a salad, like if the if the vegan option at a restaurant is like a fucking salad, that is bullshit.
SPEAKER_03That is complete bullshit. Yeah. And actually, if I had$50, not five or one, but fifty dollars for every time I went to a restaurant and they offered me salad, like, don't you hate that? Yeah. The whole stupid salad thing. Or um, yes, we have gluten-free products on the venue.
SPEAKER_01What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_03What are you talking about? Did I ask you about gluten? Did I fucking ask you about gluten?
SPEAKER_01We it's it's it's so amazing how few people in the restaurant industry know. I won't say few people, but very few.
SPEAKER_03I will say it. Very few fucking people know the difference between veganism and for some reason other bullshit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You have any vegan options? Yes, we have fish. No, that's literally.
SPEAKER_03I've had that before.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, I've had people bring me bacon um on a vegan burger, and I said that's bacon, and they said bacon is not meat. You said you don't need meat. Yeah. So I we could those stories we could go on for days. Yeah. We'd need like five five podcasts for that. Yeah. All right.
SPEAKER_01Well, Elvira, thank you very much. You're awesome. You're awesome.
SPEAKER_03You're awesome. This podcast is awesome. Yeah, it's awesome.
SPEAKER_01All right, thank you.
SPEAKER_00So I don't get makeup for this, or we kind of we kind of have the same glasses in the cake, same.
SPEAKER_01I think we literally have the same glasses.
SPEAKER_00What's going on?
SPEAKER_01We have we're both wearing radios.
SPEAKER_00Like, I feel like that's me on your shirt right now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So, everyone, this is Brad. You may remember him from uh previous episodes. I think you've been in six five or six episodes. I think I slept through a couple of them too. Yeah, you did you did sleep through a couple of them. There they were funny moments. You managed to sleep only when I talk. Apparently, I don't interest you, but that's okay. Uh not true at all. Very interesting topic. So, yeah, we're practically twins, clearly. You know, the glasses, the bald head, but yeah, Brad is way more extroverted than me, so I'm more than happy with him pretending to be me and uh having conversations with people while I hang back.
SPEAKER_00I can always step in if you ever get injured or killed. Yeah, that's true. I uh with AI today, they can just use AI for you to uh be the person up.
SPEAKER_01I'd rather it be you, though.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. So uh Brad is kind of a film buff. Um, because you watch movies like every week, right? Like you go to the movies every week, it seems like.
SPEAKER_00I used to do that.
SPEAKER_01Probably, probably.
SPEAKER_00So the movie I want to see, does everyone remember Youngblood with Rob Lowe, the hockey movie? Well, they made a remake of that movie, so I'm excited, really excited. Also, Kayana Reeves was in it. Do you remember and Patrick Sweet?
SPEAKER_01I remember Rob Lowe being in the movie. It's an 80s movie. It's an 80s hockey movie. Uh 85, I believe. Okay. I remember it vaguely. I mean, this was a very young Rob Lowe. I think even like pre-sex tape Rob Lowe. He has a I don't really know. I mean, this is old news, but it's still uh he had sex with an underage girl and it was on video. I mean, yeah. Epsteinus. No, I mean, Rob Lowe, I think, was very young. He was like 22 and he wasn't a billionaire, so he's not on the Epstein list.
SPEAKER_00Well, one of the things, my favorite character was Miss McGill. Miss McGill, I was 15 years old, and I couldn't believe it. I was in love with this 65-year-old woman.
SPEAKER_01Sexy 65-year-old.
SPEAKER_00Who knew? Now I'm almost, no, I'm not almost, I'm 55, but still at 15 years old. What is wrong with me in being in love with a 65-year-old woman?
SPEAKER_01When I was that age, well, maybe younger, I was really into Phoebe Kates. You remember who that is? Oh my god, Fast Times Ridgemont High, Gremlins, Private School, like any movie she was in, I watched. Well, that was a famous sink. Yeah, Fast Times Ridgemont High. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, but 16. Do you remember the actress who played uh Ms. McGill?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01I don't either. I'll have to Google it. You know what? Let's do that now.
SPEAKER_00Do you think she's alive? Uh I mean it's how long ago? 85?
unknown15?
SPEAKER_00That's 40 years ago.
SPEAKER_011986. Oh my god, Cynthia Gibb?
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, if it's if it's Cynthia Gibb, isn't she the one who Oh no, that wasn't Miss McGill. No. No, no, no. Cynthia Gibb was in the movie, but she wasn't Ms. McGill. Fionola Flanagan.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but she didn't look anything like that. Alright? That's guys, that's not the woman I was in love with, alright?
SPEAKER_01Well, you said she was 65, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Maybe she was younger. I don't really.
SPEAKER_01Well, when you're 15, someone in their 30s looks everyone looks old, right? Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, as I was telling you when we were talking about this earlier, uh, Helen Mirrin is an older woman. She's of a certain age. And Helen Mirrin has her own sexiness, and she's got to be in her 70s, right? Of course. Of course. Did you ever see the movie Excalibur?
SPEAKER_00No. I probably did. You know what my problem is I forget movies really quick. Like I literally can't name the movie I watched weeks ago.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, I know you watch movies pretty much every week. You go to the movie theater every week.
SPEAKER_00Action films. I'm into action film. The one thing about action film, even if it's bad, the dialogue and the storyline, as long as they're blowing something up, I'm I'm fine with it. I'm a guy, you know? That's like the if they crash a car or blow something up, I'm fine with it. I love it.
SPEAKER_01So it's like the whole Beavis and Butthead.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm very, I'm very school boy-ish. I'm still I'm still a 15-year-old at heart when it comes to uh movies. So okay.
SPEAKER_01Uh well the last movie I saw was a horror movie called Undertone. Uh I watched it theatrically yesterday. Fantastic movie. Um it's very audio intensive. Like it's you can close your eyes for half the movies, half of the movie because it's almost all about the audio. And it's about a podcast. Uh and a podcast, it's a paranormal podcast. So it appeals to me on two levels because it's about a podcaster and it's about uh the paranormal. And you know, me being a former paranormal investigator, it truly resonated. But I really recommend that movie. It's so good. And I it was a horror film? It was a horror movie, yeah. Uh and now if you're like afraid of like demonic stuff, I would say avoid it because there is some demon stuff in it. Upside down crosses. Up. Uh yeah, because it is specifically about a demon haunting people. Uh might actually give me a spoiler there, but anyway. Uh really, really, really good movie. I loved it, but I almost I I I would say that it you almost have to watch it in a movie theater because of the sound. Because watching it from home, unless you have a really good uh home theater setup as far as speakers, I don't know if it'll be as good because the audio is so essential. Uh-huh. Uh but yeah, really, really good movies. You're not into horror movies, though.
SPEAKER_00I am into it. Um Freddie Krueger was my bane of my existence as a child. I would have nightmare after nightmare. So I should just I like how you pronounce nightmare. Nightmare. Nightmare? Nightmare. I just would have nightmare of him. You know, remember the scene where he with the claws against Oh yeah. Yeah, oh my god. Yeah, Robert. I even would be afraid to go to sleep because I would dread it would come to me in my sleep. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01One, two, Freddy.
SPEAKER_00He's probably and Halloween, all those.
SPEAKER_01So Yeah, Halloween. I don't think Halloween gets the appreciation it should. Like the original Halloween was like the first true slasher film. Like it was revolutionary. Uh John Carpenter, he wrote, directed, did the music, the the iconic music. Oh, I can't do it now. Maybe it would be a copy of the movie. Stop me trick-or-treating for years.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. It's such a great movie. The problem is, you know, they make these great movies, the first one, and I think they can replicate it time and time. And they really need to stop.
SPEAKER_01Well, I think sometimes it can be good.
SPEAKER_00Name name name some number two that are as good as number one.
SPEAKER_01Nightmare in Elm Street, the second one is terrible, but the third and the fourth, I think it's Dream Warriors and Dream Child, is it? Dream Warrior? I don't remember, but um, I remember specifically that Nightmare and Elm Street 3 and 4 were great, but Freddie Krueger went from being scary to almost comedic, like when he goes, Welcome to Primetime, bitch. And he she he shoves a woman's head into a TV. Like it's he almost became a comedic character, like Chucky became. Jason turned comedic when he's like when you get Jason in outer space and Jason X. Jason takes Manhattan. So I think they all get kind of comedic after a while, and it isn't as good. It gets campy. Um, but I mean at the same time, sometimes it works. I think it did work for Freddie Kruger. Uh but yeah, I get what you're saying.
SPEAKER_00I I uh it's a financial decision, isn't it? I think they can replicate it and not spend a lot of money uh on the film and make money. So when do you think you know this more than me? AI movie. I know you would hate it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I know you you would hate AI movies. But it's coming, right?
SPEAKER_01It's uh I'm sure it's coming. I don't know if it'll get a lot of support. I'm sure at some point someone will make a completely AI generated movie. Uh, but that oh man, that grosses me out just the thought of someone capitalizing on it that way.
SPEAKER_00I don't even like when Well everything's capitalized. That's our whole the whole system we is built on. It's just a different form of capital.
SPEAKER_01Yes, uh, but to me, art is a very human thing. And while, sure, you can say that art can be created by I I understand what you mean. Yeah. Um but you know, who am I to say? Like 30 years from now, AI may be as commonplace as Google. And well, there's Google Gemini, which is AI, but you know, I'm just saying as far as the ubiquity of it. And it'll be normalized and accepted, and maybe there'll be like some kind of ethics created about it, like how and how not to use AI. I mean, it was the Wild West, like up until maybe 2005. It was basically the Wild West. Yeah. So very thought-provoking conversation, Brad.
SPEAKER_00It was uh delight being here.
SPEAKER_01Okay, well, thank you, Brad. All right, yeah, you didn't think you didn't think it would be so soon that you'd be back on.
SPEAKER_00I thought you are. I thought I would get a yearly like once a year I would be invited back.
SPEAKER_01Well, this is your first time in 2026, so maybe in 27 you'll uh be back. All right, vegan talking shit. Where'd you get that? It's part of that. Oh my god. I could have taught I I told everyone to hold it. I didn't know that that was okay. You just taught you just taught me something.
SPEAKER_04Guys, you guys are the tech guys.
SPEAKER_01Clearly, you're the tech.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty funny.
SPEAKER_01Hi everyone, I think you all know who this is. This is Vanessa. Uh I would say that you were the main host of this event because John, you know.
SPEAKER_04Actually, I was definitely not. You and John lost. What? I got the human hour later.
unknownYou cooked.
SPEAKER_01What did I cook? I brought the plates and the cups and the napkins and the nap chains and the everything. John brought the coffee from the from the lobby. But you actually cooked. You made you made carrot cake, you made waffles.
SPEAKER_04I tried to reproduce a Brazilian carrot cake.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but it didn't win that well.
SPEAKER_01Well, it okay, it didn't taste like carrot cake, I will say that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I I I didn't taste carrot at all, but it was so good.
SPEAKER_04I'm trying, guys. make this recipe very veganize the recipe for this is my fifth attempt. Okay. So because it has four eggs in the actual recipe. And I try replace with flax seeds, but the flax seeds has a little bit uh strong taste and make the cake be a little bit too heavy, not so fluffy.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04So yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I thought it would people like it because like a they eat all.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It was really good. I mean it didn't taste like carrot cake but it tasted better. I liked it a lot. I had two pieces.
SPEAKER_04I made also waffles like uh gluten waffles and gluten free waffles. I don't know how that went because I didn't see if people ate all or not.
SPEAKER_01I had the gluten waffles. I thought they were very good.
SPEAKER_04That's good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So yeah that that was fun. I think uh there was many good dishes actually.
SPEAKER_01Yeah yeah not that I could say anything I didn't bring anything except plates and napkins and well but you know people brought many good things I I brought oat creamer I brought oat creamer yeah and Coke Zero.
SPEAKER_04Actually you you brought all the the things that you cannot be without right how you can eat without the plates with drink with all the cups and all that stuff yeah and also he brought everything very very environment friendly.
SPEAKER_01Right. Thank you biodegradable.
SPEAKER_04No plastic is around no plastic wooden cutlery wooden fork yeah all recycled and recyclable yeah so yeah I think uh for our first brunch we did very well uh we received a lot of people it was very fun our first annual vegans talking shit vegan potluck brunch brunch yeah uh next time maybe you can get maybe a chat you think I think you can I don't know people can play a little bit and get a chat to the roots maybe to the roots that's expensive though yeah I quote then for the sushi because people are talking about and they say like oh maybe you can um get a quote for the sushi but if you do a dinner here you have like a two reserved space right so with their price for the sushi and the reserved space became too expensive. Then everyone have to pay too it would be too much so it would be like at least like a 130 to per person you know 130 140 per person so I don't know so for now it's a spotlock I think it's going to be good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah but yeah I I enjoy I don't I really enjoy receive people you used to do the Thanksgiving here in this this place the Christmas so I hope this year I can go again but this year you'll be a vegan talking shit um Friendsgiving yeah yeah yeah you need to do a vegan talking shit for Friendsgiving so be on the lookout all of our listeners especially in the South Florida area or if anyone outside of South Florida wants to take a trip yeah you're going to enjoy you're all invited yeah so just let us know this next time we're going to give like a a longer notice. Yeah that's true we didn't give a lot of very very short yeah yeah another thing we should probably talk about though I don't even know if I've told you and John about it are Shopify it's almost done like I think at this point the only thing left is I need to talk to you and John about the prices.
SPEAKER_04Oh I I I think I saw an email coming that I click on like that because I ordered something I ordered oh how was it?
SPEAKER_01Well I only got one in so far I got the coffee mug. It's a black coffee mug and I also ordered a few t-shirts but I want to order more because I had I had a hard time figuring out the whole making sure that the shipping is right and I wanted to make sure it shipped to my address that everything was working properly. The last thing I want is we have up a Shopify and we get a lot of complaints. So I tested it with mine. So that was through printful now I want to order through Shopify. And yeah once I know for sure that both are working properly then I'll be like okay I'll present it to our listeners like hey if you want to buy some vegan stalking ship merchandise visit our Shopify app.
SPEAKER_04So you know what Vilo asked me about mine I don't think it who is listening is not going to see it but let me show you mine is like a very your shirt.
SPEAKER_01Yeah you see it's like a vegan talking tank top yeah mine is not a tank top clearly you don't want to see me in the back has like some notes in the back too yes so yeah yeah like that yeah but yeah I don't I don't think my the ones that I did has stuff on the back though.
SPEAKER_04But we can we can make adjustments forget the back because the front okay didn't listen what I just said but yeah Vilo asked me if uh we were selling this oh okay I told her that we were trying to figure out forever but we're gonna have a teddy bear we're gonna have a vegan stalking shit teddy bear but I you get to want that for me. Actually another thing I was thinking a few days ago because there is that sanctuary that has the yarn yes so I love making the hats I don't have place to put that stuff anymore.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_04I already knitting and crushing everything and uh I don't need more stuff. Yeah maybe you could because she told me that they have a bunch of that yarns there because nobody buys yeah so maybe I can try making some and you can help the sanctuary and sell them as a cat because I nobody buys and people know that it's a uh cashmere from alpha but from a sanctuary that just have a few a year. You'll be very you can put another Shopify so these are hand made by you. Yeah. Wow while I'm watching my soap offers.
SPEAKER_01Yeah that's awesome we have a whole episode dedicated to crocheting and knitting and now our listeners are going to be able to actually buy yeah stuff.
SPEAKER_04Yeah no actually I talk about that because another day she sent me an email to me saying that they have a bunch if I was knitting more and to be honest I don't need any yarn acrylic or nothing because I have just too much and I thought about allergic though yeah well he got he's getting better with the shots he's getting shots I didn't know getting better that's good so I can make and maybe can help then can buy some of the yarn and make some hats and it can sell in our merchandise. Okay so people that like high quality stuff and handmade stuff can get something from a good uh a good place and help not only our podcast but help the sector yeah that's a good idea yeah I agree I'm going to order some of this yarn this week awesome okay also by the way talk about yarn sorry yeah sorry I'm going all off the top today oh shock actually we don't have topic no not today so anyways I start my first uh figure skate classes I saw your Instagram was it Instagram oh my god I did yesterday I think I saw some of that I'm born for that yeah I just born in the wrong country but even with your ankle not being 100% I didn't try jump yeah I didn't try nothing like that but it's so cool Joy I love so much and now I can make matching you know that's a uh three call uh meeting that goes uh people will use leg warmers yeah I can make a bunch of colorful leg warmers handmade you know for myself to match my outfit for and they're probably easy to make because it's just like you know yeah they are it's super easy to make it so I am making one of a two color because I have this amount of yarns in my house that I don't use it so well congratulations that's pretty amazing yeah let's see how we I hope I do not hurt myself yeah don't don't hurt yourself that would be bad I bought I bought I try my like protections for the heap yeah it's horrible it's like a hockey thing really yeah look like a look like a diaper it's pretty bad so I try to find something bad okay I I drink too much coffee to do it so John we have John to thank for that he actually went like took it was John too and someone else like took a bunch of cups downstairs to make coffee yeah John's contribution he got me a cup of coffee that made me very happy yeah here in our building you have a machine downstairs that you can got we got like 30 coffees each one per month okay more than that we pay but it's not much it's like uh$1.60.
SPEAKER_01That's fair yeah it's cheaper than Starbucks oh anything is cheaper from Starbucks Joey you don't go so much anymore I do now since oh god because you got back in the office so I go every single day did you do your spreadsheet final spreadsheet last month how much we spent in Starbucks last month 150 oh my god Joey yeah it's bad yeah yeah I'm I'm I'm I I cut off Fridays I no longer go on Fridays so now it's only four days a week I've gotten a little better maybe soon it'll be only Monday through Wednesday I don't go on the weekends anymore the exception being when I'm with my niece or my nephew then but otherwise I don't go on weekends I'm a little better.
SPEAKER_04How many are you charging for a fucking high Starbucks?
SPEAKER_01Well what I've been getting lately is the brown sugar the brown sugar oat milk espresso and that is I think six dollars but it's only a little cup it's like it's a it's not even like it's not even the oh my god like it's shorter it's the short so it's not even a big cup guys I mean not a cheap person okay but six dollars in a half cup is is a lot it's so good it's so good it's it's good because caffeine that comes with caffeine it's good oh it give me more give me more yeah you don't do caffeine anymore do you I do it just because you went through period no I I can spend a week with all really I started getting the mushroom cough I've been doing no I didn't I don't do the mushroom coffee I do the alkaline coffee what the hell is alkaline coffee alkaline coffee I does it no it has wheatgrass it's like a wheatgrass coffee I have that at night at home like I I make it at home at night yeah there is caffeine no well it's it's the equivalent of decaf oh so it's very because caffeine at night is amazing to go really well to sleep it there there isn't enough for it to affect me um and I do have to go to bed much earlier now like me I'm like I try to be in bed by 10 30.
SPEAKER_04You know the thing I heard a few days ago I was thinking about to tell you because I know you you don't take the B12 caps but you eat a lot of the nutritional yeast with B12. Yeah at night B12 interfere in the sleep really make you more connected you have a difficult to sleep I had a few days to tell this that that could explain a lot so and I I because I I stopped taking then if I if it was after like a 12 and I forget to take my B12 I don't take it so because of that yeah and because we have the auras we can really monitor our sleep even though you sleep sometimes right are tired because the activity is still yeah going on there. So I think the B12 have uh help or like you be more connected so they do not recommend you take at night B2.
