Ep 055: The Miracle of the Necklace: Jennifer Davis on Loss, Healing, and God’s Hand in Our Lives

Sheila Layton Episode 55

When Jennifer Davis lost her son Parker to suicide, her world shattered. He was just 23 years old, a firefighter, and her only son. In her grief, Jennifer turned to the Lord, pleading for the miracle of saving his life. Instead, the Lord whispered:

“There are more miracles, bigger miracles, and better miracles than the one you are asking for.”

At first, she didn’t understand. But over time, Jennifer began to see how God was still reaching out—through small moments that carried eternal meaning.

✨ One of those moments came through the miracle of a necklace.
Parker had given her several necklaces with pendants years earlier, but they had grown worn with time. Jennifer's sisters took them to a jewelry shop for repair. In telling Parker’s story, the jeweler revealed that an employee had also lost a dear friend to suicide—it turned out to be Parker. The “coincidence” led to an embrace between her sisters and this young man, Braxton, who loved and missed Parker too.

That connection grew into lifelong friendships, reminders that God is in the details, weaving people together for comfort and healing.

Now, Jennifer testifies that while she didn’t receive the miracle she prayed for, she has been blessed with countless others—reminders that Parker is okay, that Christ is real, and that God’s hand is everywhere if we look for it.

🙏 Her message:
Look for and expect miracles in your life. Write them down. Keep track of them. Because the more you notice, the more you’ll see God’s hand guiding you every single day.

✨ Listen to this episode to discover how Jennifer found healing in unexpected miracles—and how you can too.
