At the Freedom Fighters Podcast, we passionately believe in freedom—not just as a concept, but as a calling. We believe that God, our forefathers, and our own choices lay the foundation for the freedoms we enjoy today. This podcast is our way of exploring what it really means to live free—financially, personally, and spiritually.
Each episode dives into the real stories of people who are fighting for something bigger than themselves. We believe true financial freedom comes from faithfulness, integrity, and the courage to keep going, even when life gets hard. Through honest conversations and powerful lessons, we share the tools, strategies, and mindset shifts that help others pursue freedom on their own terms.
We’re here to grow, to give, and to open doors for others. Because when one of us breaks free, it creates a ripple effect. And we believe that kind of freedom is always worth the fight.

Soft skills carry over to anything. I don't care if you never want to do business. know you're going to negotiate for a car. They're going to negotiate for a house one day. You're going to negotiate with your kids. Everything is a negotiation.
So why not learn the skills as soon as possible?
Tanner congratulations. You're 18. You're about to graduate high school. Get started in life. Where do you start? What do do? Wow. The first thing I'd probably do is learn a skill. I think that
It's easy to look back and say that I would have bought more real estate and I would started younger and all that stuff. When I was 18, I was already in the military. I already had a year in service because I came in when I was 17 and did not have the income to support, but I could have started my learning journey sooner and cared about entrepreneurship and real estate investing a little bit sooner so that when I turned 19, 20 and had the income, the stable income, the credit, then I was able to buy a house.
I think that that's the first thing is start to learn a skill and at 18 you're trying to figure out how the world works. So it's kind of hard to introduce something new like that. But when I, when I wound up coming into real estate, I was, I don't know, 22, 23 and took me probably three years of education before I was ready to start doing anything with it. It may be a little bit sooner than that, but that you can't skip that period in the beginning where you're just trying to learn the terminology, learn how things work and develop a strategy. So I think starting that at 18, by the time you turn 21, I mean, you're off to the races. But you can start that younger. I know for our kids, they're already learning about entrepreneur stuff in 13, 14. Now our oldest is 18.
They're getting the groundwork. by the time they're 21, 25, they're going to be golden. So what, if you had to get a job, just graduated, you know, it's June 1st, you graduate a of weeks ago, what job would you go for? I'd probably go for some kind of, some kind of a internship for a financial firm or a bank or something where you're around people that have higher level expertise. I think, the mistake that most people make is they go into these lower entry level jobs, know, working a kitchen, serving tables, bus, know, bus boys, stock encounters, and stuff like that where there's, I mean, there's certainly a path to get to the top there, but the top is kind of capped.
If you want to go to a place where your earning potential is unlimited, you need to study other people who have unlimited earning potential. And I think nowadays the Gen Z or Gen Alpha or whatever that now, they're all about the Ecom and crypto and get rich quick stuff, which, you know, maybe pays off for some. I mean, if you can get in and learn trading or anything like that, then great. But I think learning a skill and learning how money works from the people who are actually doing it, that's probably what makes the most sense.
