Put A Quarter In It Podcast
We will be discussing all things in the world of energy healing. All the healers, the initiatives, the seers, the readers, the channelers, the ministers, the crystal workers, the empaths, the physicists, the teachers, the authors, the visionaries, the sages and of course the prophets, that converge in this glorious world of subtle energy exploration is extraordinary. The inspiration for this podcast comes from years of listening to the brilliance of my friends, Dr. Sara Allen and Debra Hurt.
The name comes from a student who was in a class that Debra and Sara were teaching. She said she loved asking a question and getting a really juicy, in depth, OVER answers to her questions. Debra and Sara really do over answer every question. This student proclaimed that she was going to bring a roll of quarters and keep feeding the juke-box to hear all the hits...she was gonna “put a quarter in it and just sit back and listen”. We thought that was really funny and it has stuck.

On episode 33 of Put a Quarter in It, we will continue to learn about the five female shamans and the nests where they reside. Sarah says that healing at its most basic core is perceiving correctly. And as we have discussed on several other episodes, there are many ways to help ourselves do that. Today we learn of another, how to declutter those nests, which is an ongoing and sometimes daily effort. I just want to know how I can keep the nest clean. How do you fix it? Well, we have points.
SPEAKER_01We have points.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so we have points. So let me give you points. Let me give you points. All right. I have to look up in my own class the points. I know yin tang. Third eye. That's between the eyebrows. Between the brows and so for those of you who can't see us, we don't know where the third eye is. Which is all of you. So the third eye, the yin tang is, I think it's 24.5 on governing, right? It's considered an extra point. It's not a real point. But I do have to say that when I'm talking about the nest, yes, we're talking about yin tang, and we and we can locate it with yin tang. But there is an impression right above yin tang. And if you slide from yin tang into the center of your forehead, you'll feel like there's just a teeny tiny little hill that you'll go down into the center of your forehead. And in that position, behind the skin are on humans, are a bunch of eye cells. Peri P-A-R-I-E-T-A-L, am I right? Parietal. Parietal. Parietal cells, which are light. They're sensitive to light. So I kind of believe it's a little further up. And so when I see it, because this is really about light, so when I see that act as a nest versus an accupoint, meaning it's the throne, that means the queen's there, she's sitting there, the light changes on that accupoint. So it's a little higher than yin tang. But with our big fat fingers, you know, we're not using skinny little needles, you'll be able to find it. That particular one is called Shin. S-H-E-N. That's the Queen Shin, and that's the Queen's throne. And Shen is governed by heart. What are you laughing at? You can't see Deborah's laughing.
SPEAKER_04I'm seeing in my mind the the peanuts cartoon where Lucy is sitting at the desk. The queen is in.
SPEAKER_01That's it. Exactly. Yeah, exactly. Occupied. Occupied.
SPEAKER_02Occupied. Occupied. Occupied. So that and and they're in it's the test is different. We'll talk about the test here in a little bit. But that's the position of um Shen. And Shen's spirit is heart. And how that feels in the sensation is desire and taste. So that's that's the sense of taste. But taste is more than just a taste. The the tongue, by the way, is governed by heart.
SPEAKER_04So it's more than just a taste, it's the um it's the magnetic desire toward your destiny. Thank you. It's that drawing, that dr that magnetic drawing force that that pulls you forward with desire.
SPEAKER_02And it does, and it does when when you you know talk about what you mean by destiny and your destiny of stars and all that kind of stuff, but it is magnetic and it sits at the top of the tower, and it actually is the one that tells the spirit where you are on the planet. You know, it has and what that means. So if I'm at the North Pole, it's gonna help me be afraid of polar bears, and if I'm in the Amazon jungle, it's gonna help me look for anacondas, you know. I mean, so my senses, my so it has that, it has that understanding that where I am at. So we're born with all that, but then we kind of call that. So if I'm not born in the North North Pole, I don't need to be afraid of polar bears, but if I am born in the Amazon, I need to look out for anacondas. So I'm gonna call the polar bearer and keep the anaconda card, I guess. So that those senses, that danger, that that how do I stay safe? That's there. So that sits there. Then our next one is Hun, and it sits in the center of the throat, and the acupoint, it sits just right, like right over sort of the thyroid, and that's central 22. So there in the center of the throat, that also will light up and look very different than its acupoint when the queen's sitting in her throne there, and that's whon. And hoon organ is liver, and liver is vision, so sight. So that's a nest. Then we drop down to CV 17, which is the pericardium uh the um circulation sex alarm point, and in that space sits, let's see. So we got uh Shen have to go in there, or I'm going too slow, I can't. So Shen Yi ho yi. And so yi sits at center at central uh 17, and that's touch, that's the sense of touch, of hold. And think about how spleen the muscles, the the middle lat and the um the lower lat and the latissimus dorsi, uh all those muscles are about holding things. So all this action of hugging and holding, which all you can see me do on this podcast, um, so that sits in the pericardium alarm point. Then we're gonna drop down to the um heart alarm point. No, stomach alarm point, stomach alarm point, central 12. And central 12 houses that's that's where the throne is for po. And po belongs to lung, and its superpower is is smell, you know, is is fragrance. But in its most primal space, it's about sniffing the auras. Instinct. Instinct. What's coming on the air, what's happening, and so what woke up all those indigenous people in the middle of the night to go hunk the hunt the elk was the they smelled elk in the air. So they're they they have thrones that house Po that are so clean they can smell the moment when the elk is ready to die.
SPEAKER_00Literally.
SPEAKER_02So then we drop down to the navel, and the bottom of the Chung Mai Tower sits uh zur, kidney, and zur governs the inner hearing, inner inner voice, hears, belongs to kidney, sits there, so it's that inner voice, that still small voice. So all these sensitivities, when the throne can be sat in by the deity, we have clarity. If we have crap in our thrones, she can't sit there, she they do not assert at all. No assertion, only welcome. So if we do not welcome them, if we have plenty of crap there, they do not show up. So one of the ways we can work these points clearly is just to keep the point regular, to keep the point happy. Can it survive a three-finger notch test, which is the balanced yin and yang test, right? The positive, negative, and neutral test. Can that point, can you local energy localize that point? And do you have a strong test? If you don't have a strong test, that's your first that you got a bad nest, that you got crap in that nest, you got stuff on the throne, you've thrown all your laundry on the queen's throne, and she has no place to sit. So you're gonna work that point like you would work that point in any other way. So the first step to start is being able to perceive clearly and access your I, your infinite intelligence, which you already have by virtue of the fact that there is AI, means we have I I already it couldn't AI could not exist if we were not infinitely intelligent. So it comes from us. So keeping that clean, so the first thing is can I pass a three-finger notch test? And if I can't, I'm gonna have problems with that.
SPEAKER_03Let's say people, just general person, probably can't self-test a three-finger notch test. Let's just presume that it's cluttered. And so maybe maybe spinning a magnet, would that help with the rubbing or tapping that sort of doing the DER, the daily energy routine for for those of you who are are not familiar with Eden.
SPEAKER_02So it just absolutely. I mean, there there is because it is about our physiology, I mean, these points are about our physiology, they so respond to physical touch. So you there is absolutely no downside to just rubbing these points. So if I I when I find myself that I can't get clear on something, like I get confused or I get bad news, and all of a sudden I have clutter. You know, like like if somebody walks in the door and tells me something bad's happened, I have a rush of clutter, just a rush. I'm rushing forward, what am I gonna do? I'm rushing backwards, why did they do that? You know, and are how stupid are they, or how smart, you know, like whatever it is. I'm just having a rush of clutter. So that rush of clutter, my experience is if I can tap ying tang, the throat point, um, the circulation sex alarm point, then the stomach point, and then my navel, if I can tap, just simply tap those points in a moment where I feel attacked by the clutter because something's just happened, what I do is I can prevent that clutter from sitting down in the throne at least, and then maybe walk forward with some clarity on that. The bigger it is to me, and the more expensive. And when I mean expensive, I mean it could be literally money expensive, but emotionally expensive or time expensive. Before I do that, I'm gonna clear those nests and make sure I'm going in the right direction. At the very least, it'll bring you back to present time. That's true too. Which, you know, you can't solve anything in the future. It hasn't happened. It hasn't happened. It hasn't happened. It's time is really weird.
SPEAKER_00And you know, in the um, when you when you talk to people like David Pete, I mean, like I talk to David Pete, I don't talk to David Pete, but but you know, I've heard him interviewed and stuff.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, when we just talked this morning. Um, when I talk to David Pete, or when I, you know, when I when I when I when I read about these guys, they uh that are studying this, I mean, specifically most of them are men, these physicists, they always say, we've got to think about time differently. When I when I study, there's a book I've been studying on Chinese mathematics. It's not an easy book to get through, but it's my very favorite when I talk about time. And they see time as circular, which all physicists talk about. I mean, that's that's not a new age thing. That is that is hardcore physics that time make make travels in circles.
SPEAKER_04So And yet they still talk about timelines.
SPEAKER_02Timelines. We talk about it linear, like as like an arrow, you know, like here we shot it, we shot it at point A, and it's at point B, and that's time. And if I'm standing in the middle, I'm in the middle of that. No, it doesn't work like that, it's circular. So the ancient Chinese and their Chinese mathematics, when they talk about time, they talk about it as expansion, not a timeline. So their idea of time is am I bigger? Have I and think about that? Like, so so when we come in as infants, the idea is that there is this expansion that happens in the soul, and then when I go back to the wuji or the the or the wu tau, when I go back to the wu tao, I'm taking more volume back. So think about so I often use this analogy that here's a pitcher. I've got a pitcher that would hold water, and I'm gonna go and go to the ocean, and I'm gonna take a scoop of that water and set that pitcher right down in that ocean. So let's say I'm on the shore, I have I have my pitcher, I took my pitcher of water, I set it so it's full of seawater, sitting in the seawater. That's us. The pitcher is the physiology, the sea is me in the pitcher, and I'm swimming in the sea of me too. So we're all swimming in the sea and full of the same sea, we just have different pitchers.
SPEAKER_04The bougie sea.
SPEAKER_02So the idea is when I come in, I'm an empty pitcher and I get full of stuff, and then when I leave, all that stuff that I've accumulated in this life goes back into the sea to the collective unconscious to expand the consciousness. So every time I come, I'm expanding the consciousness. Now, there's some of us I know that come into this world empty and they don't put anything back into the sea when they go. They leave an empty vessel. You know, they don't they don't contribute anything to the collective unconscious.
SPEAKER_04And so the collective unconscious taught us all a lot of valuable lessons.
SPEAKER_02So this concept that I come in to contribute to make the sea deeper and bigger, that's what time is to spirit. That's what time is to the physicist. The time is how much have you expanded? What are you laughing at?
SPEAKER_01Oh no, don't talk about my fan size.
SPEAKER_04No, no, I'm I'm thinking about this uh this joke that Mimi and I used to laugh about all the time. Mimi, Mimi's a very dear old friend who passed away quite a while ago. But we we used to love this joke of a guy from the city driving down a country road and he sees a farmer out in the field lifting his pig up to eat apples off the apple tree. And so he's baffled by this. And he stops the car and he goes over to the fence and he says to the farmer, wouldn't it save you a lot of time if you just took the tree and let the pig eat the apples off the ground? And the farmer looks at him like he's crazy. What's time to a pig? So for years we would just randomly say to each other, what's time to a pig?
SPEAKER_02I think we should revive that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I think we should read.
SPEAKER_04What's time to a pig?
SPEAKER_02What's time to a pig? So we have to think about time differently. We just have to. And and it be because that will help our perceptions. And the second we start, and why this is so important to us as healers, the second we start perceiving more correctly, there's less damage to the tissues. Because when we when we perceive incorrectly, it adrenalizes us. It is not accurate what we see. And it generates the wrong kind of friction. And it generates the wrong kind of friction and damages the tissues. So the here's and here's, you know, so when we talk about the goddesses, and so when we, you know, so the I mean the goddesses, this this process, I mean, it's a four-day process that you that we've put together, you know, in trying and trying to teach this this ability to keep your nests clean because I'm telling you, we come in with clean nests, and boy oh boy, do we get people putting crap in our nests in a right away. You know, I remember my folks put all kinds of stuff in my nest, and my grandmother put all kinds of stuff in my nest, and my everybody put all kinds of my teachers, put all kinds of stuff in my nest, and here I am at 67 years old, taking a lot of junk out of that nest because it clouded my perceptions, stood in the way of some happiness, and actually damaged tissue and created disease processes, those misperceptions. So healing is in at its most basic core, is perceiving things correctly. So these points, but go ahead.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I'm just gonna say, and it it helps if you come in with a nature that is curious, as as we all do. But for those of us who can maintain that curiosity, that's driving to oh gosh, well, I can think of as a French word, unload unload word, crep divracy. To unload the nest, yes, to unload the nest. It does require it it decry it it requires a certain amount of drive, and that drive is supplied by curiosity, the desire to know, the desire to see clearly, because there's an awful lot of complacence out there, and people who are completely convinced that they are seeing clearly, and that everyone who doesn't see the way they do is at best mistaken and at worst um evil.
SPEAKER_02You know, I think I think that if I were, you know, maybe if I were like 35 years old and I had all this information about the nests and the lady shamans and all that stuff, I think I would go into marriage counseling and do nest work. What a good idea! Think about it. Well, you know, that shaman that does the um you know what assemblage point moving. Assemblage point moving, you know, how he he with couples he'll move their assemblage points so they can feel what the other is feeling. I could see where so much. I mean, I'm thinking of conflicts that I have with folks, and it's just like, oh God, I want to clear that nest. And you know, and then maybe it's me that's wrong, you know, but but it's like, no, it's not me, not me. Cannot be me. Could never be me. But the but I do, it's just like, oh, I want to clear that nest. Yeah. So this concept of learning how to do this, one of the things, one of the really interesting things that that it starts to do when you start to have really clean nests. How would I how I I struggle to explain how anxiety and the nests are connected? I really have trouble with that, but I know that not everybody let me make sure I say this right. Every time I find somebody with a lot of anxiety, the nests are full of crap. And because what's happening is even when your nests are full of crap, you have the lady shamans, you have the queens that sit in those thrones going, baby, get rid of the shit so I can sit down, okay? Get rid of it, you know. So they're like, move that stuff. Hold this laundry, exactly. Get the laundry out of my throne. So so they are there trying to do that. So there is this pull where they they they are just present, and we're wondering, you know, where that clarity is, but we can't quite hear that. So it makes us nervous because we can't hear our instincts. So we're we're lost in the wilderness without a flashlight, without our sense of smell, with dark glasses on, duct tape on our mouth, and big oven mitts all over. Our hands, so we can't feel anything. So we are in the wilderness trying to live this life with all these things that we need to be smart about, and we we don't have our senses, so the anxiety is just off the roof. So there is nothing to me more helpful with neurosis, like truly OCDs and obsessive compulsive disorders, things where people are constantly trying to organize themselves. If I can organize their sham their their shaman, their their lady shamans, I'm not even gonna try to say it. If I could organize their lady shamans, their anxiety disp disperses. So it's it's it's a really big deal when it comes to anxiety. So think about it, you've you've been dropped off in Burma without a map, with no ability to feel, touch, taste, or I mean you're just there. Deaf, dumb, and blind in Burma. That would be really nerve-wracking.
SPEAKER_04Between the snakes and the tigers, it probably wouldn't last long.
unknownExactly.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. So there is so there's there is that thing that it's anxiety. And so sometimes I can really, I really know if somebody is incredibly anxious, and I call it stalking the future when they are like, okay, what if this happens and what if this happens, and what if this happens, and what if this happens, and what if this happens, you know, and then there's a lion in the room. What do I do then? You know, and Jill has a lion on her lap. I can see her on the zoom. She's got a big old lion on her lap. What's your lion's name? This is he's he's Bengali. Oh, that's Bengali. That's Bengali, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Is that the only one you have? No, his we have a sister. She's around here somewhere. She's um she's a catnip drugie, so she's probably sleeping off her afternoon hint.
SPEAKER_02She she needs she needs to go to um her uh catnip CA, her catnip anonymous meeting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I have a friend who who grows it, so it's all that it's really good, good stuff.
SPEAKER_02It's good stuff. I used to grow catnip in my um herb things by my back door. You guys, you guys know where my back door is. So Ray would get up in the morning and she would just do this barking like crazy crap. And I realized the cats were coming and rolling in the catnip bed, and then they would leave by the time Ray would get up. So they so to keep her from barking, I stopped planting catnip. So it's much better, it's much better in my house without her going crazy. So the lions in the room. So it's it's very interesting how neuroses, and I I don't know about I've never used because this work came to me within the last five or seven years on and off. I've never used it for psychosis, but I have a feeling it would be incredibly helpful for people that suffer from psychotic breaks. Because you never know, you know, that that's the creepiest part about psychosis is the randomness of it. You know, sometimes they can feel it telegraphing, you know, when they're about to have a break with reality. So I wonder if it's a nest issue, if it's a you know, if that could contribute to the healing of that incorrect perception. I remember I had a psych uh somebody that saw me for a while for psychosis. He was incredibly sweet. And whenever he would have a psychotic break, he thought he was Merlin, and then he had a wand and he would heal people with the wand. So I mean he was really he was really sweet psychotic. All right, so where were we?
SPEAKER_03We were we were talking about the nest, the nest and helping with psychosis and anxiety, but anxiety is gonna be the real I think that's where people are gonna be most, they're gonna connect to most of it. We're we're all anyway, anyways paying attention to the world. Uh high, you know, or what is it, uh DEF CON 5 from you know that's how it feels. And so the anxiety level is huge, it's just through the roof. I know. So I was speak for myself.
SPEAKER_02My anxieties and and think and think about how cluttered our nests are. So we we have so in in purifying the nests or emptying the nests or um clearing the nests, all all the things that we talk about, you know. First of all, you you need to have a strong test, or you can tap, you can you can spin a magnet, you can rub and press these points, they respond beautifully because they're sense points, you know. So they're really it's really going to turn them on. That's gonna be helpful. I do think that if you know your constitution, if you know your element, so for me, the two nests that I struggle the most with is Shen, which is fire, which is my third eye one, and the other one I just really struggle so much with is yi, it's spleen. And what what what um what truth lingers through that process is that your constitution will also translate into who is the dominant queen, where is your most vulnerable nest? And it's usually in your constitution. So for me, it's it's truly, truly, truly it's ye, it's the worry, it's the thought, it's the thinking, it's the wringing of the hands, it's the overthinking that I do that absolutely destroys my peace. So when ye goes crazy, nobody's happy. And if I could get ye happy, I usually can get Shen, which would be my forehead one, happy. And then the other ones I don't even have to struggle with. So I do seem to have a leader of the pack that when she's walking in the right direction, when ye's walking in the right direction, they follow her. If she's walking in the wrong direction, they follow her too. Or if she can't, you know, like she's not walking in the wrong direction. She is straight off the cliff. Straight off the cliff, exactly. She she can't lead, we'll put it that way. I just want to make sure that you guys understand that she is not leading you anywhere bad, she only leads you good places. It's us, we disconnect from our senses, our our lady shamans, and then that's when we get in trouble. They never leave us, we leave them all the time. So if I can manage ye, if I can manage that point, you know, so that that is my circulation sex alarm point. So for me, that goes irregular for a lot of reasons because I'm fire, it's also circ sex, you know. You've got you've got that relationship between circ sex and spleen in at least in the holding points, you know. When you sedate spleen, um you're right, yeah, you're sending you're sending it in.
SPEAKER_04When you're strength, no, you're you're you're strengthening from heart. When you're sedating circ sex.
SPEAKER_02You're sending it into spleen, exactly. So the so there's there's all those relationships. So for me, that's the kingpin. And for my for my current purpose, if I manage her, I manage all the others with ease. So she's kind of the leader of my pack. So I think that's helpful. So so for Deborah, I probably would choose ye or Po, because she's metal, and Po is going to be at the stomach alarm point. And so that might and things when Deborah hears things, they hit her in the gut in a way that it's just that's where she gets hit. I get hit in the chest. So for a long time before I really understood the lady shamans, I really thought that that was heart that I was feeling. It is heart, but I really do think it's the nest. The nest that takes the hit. That that's step one, and that's a huge piece, and anybody can do that.
SPEAKER_03Please join us for part three on nest decluttering and how it blocks our infinite intelligence. Thanks for listening to Put a Quarter in It, presented by Energy Medicine University and produced by Hip Chicks Create.
