It’s getting darker out there—extra dark—as we move deeper into the winter months. On today’s episode, we’re diving into a rare and exciting lunar event: the Black Moon. The Black Moon occurs when there’s a second new moon in a calendar month, and with it comes a potent surge of energy. It’s a powerful time for reflection on the past lunar cycle and for setting intentions for the upcoming month and lunar phases.
There’s so much happening in the cosmos right now, with even bigger transits on the horizon as we head into 2025. We’ll touch on some of these key events and revisit the current Mars retrograde to see how it’s affecting us. While this may be a dark time, it’s still one for celebration. Let’s honor the return of the light and be grateful for the quiet moments in the dark, where we can reflect, listen, and go deeper.
The duality of this season is also highlighted by the divine alignment of Capricorn season. This liminal time in the calendar is symbolized by the half-goat, half-fish figure—representing both earth and water. It’s a perfect metaphor for the shoreline, a place where two worlds meet and where grounding energy flows.
