Romance on the Rocks
Nacho Average Season Finale
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Street corn nachos, a cucumber margarita the size of a goldfish bowl, and enough romance novels to take us from cozy bookshops to briny underwater kingdoms. Season two wrapped up with everything we love: the reads that made us swoon, the ones that shocked us, and the moments that had us snort-laughing into our drinks.
We talk about the couples that stayed with us, from board-game tenderness to a demon who adored a heroine’s pocket snacks. Heat levels became a running character: one of us is a jalapeño-level, closed-door loyalist. The other keeps testing the Scoville scale. We break down the scenes that delivered heat, the ones that didn’t, and the small gestures that built real intimacy — texting side by side, building blanket forts and making romance feel cozy.
Along the way, we celebrate the settings that did heavy lifting: snowed-in luxury retreats where writers finally write, small-town series you wish you could move into, and fantastical oceanic worlds that made us believe. And because we’re us, we also crown the anatomy metaphors that will haunt us forever (hello “man root” and “snug clasp”), confess the creature-feature moments that broke plausibility in spectacular fashion, and share our favorite cocktails of 2025.
We shout out authors who owned our hearts, including Heatherly Bell, Emma Hamm, Serena Bowen, Elle Kennedy, Charlotte Stein, Kimberly Lemming, Paige Lavoie and Emily B. Rose. We admit our biases: instant heat versus slow burn, mystery-driven plots versus contemporary comfort.
Looking ahead, we’re letting fate guide our TBR with a martini-glass number draw, trimming segments that feel forced, and planning more meetups with readers, writers and fellow romance nerds.
Hit play for a warm, candid, end-of-year debrief full of spice scales, monster mayhem, nachos, and genuine affection for romance. If you laughed, discovered a new favorite author, or added a title to your list, follow, share with a friend, and leave a review. What was your most surprising romance read this year?

Nicole:
Hi, I'm Nicole Danielle.
Meghan:
And I'm Meghan Leigh. And this is Romance on the Rocks. We're two bookish biddies
Nicole:
Imbibe!
Meghan:
and discuss the romance novels they've been reading and start feast.
Nicole:
On nachos.
Meghan:
Nachos. It's not a bucket.
Nicole:
It's not a bucket, but it is an entire couple of trays.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
Of nacho.
Meghan:
Trays of nachos.
Nicole:
Trays of nachos.
Meghan:
We will be consuming.
Nicole:
And what are you drinking for this episode, Meghan?
Meghan:
I have a cucumber margarita.
Nicole:
Oh.
Meghan:
In the big boy cut up.
Nicole:
It's ginormous. And I am drinking my favorite beverage. A paloma.
Meghan:
Ready?
Nicole:
Yeah. Cheers.
Meghan:
Cheers. Love you.
Nicole:
Scrum-diddley-umtious. As always.
Meghan:
So nice. That looks good. All right. Street corn nachos.
Nicole:
Street corn nachos and nachos al pastor.
Meghan:
Oh yeah, I'm going. This is not gonna be pretty.
Nicole:
Right.
Meghan:
But luckily, most of this won't necessarily have be seen.
Nicole:
Yeah. Oh my god.
Meghan:
So, for those of you who may not know, both Nicole and I had books that involved nachos. Yours was…
Nicole:
I had two.
Meghan:
Two?
Well, Cinnamon.
Nicole:
The one was “The time I got drunk and saved a Demon” by Kimberly Lemming. That had a literal bucket of nachos. And then I'm pretty sure in my recent “Stay”, um not Stay, you read Stay…
Meghan:
Which did have nachos.
Nicole:
Did have nachos. And then mine was “One shot” uh by AC Wonderland. And that also had nachos, I'm pretty sure.
Meghan:
Yeah. So, we decided nachos was appropriate.
Nicole:
Okay, well, that was delicious.
Meghan:
I am sweating. Not full of food consumption per se. But I put I put a lot of uh this bad boy on my part of the nachos. So worth it. But I look like I put that all over my nachos.
Nicole:
Uh but we are at La Taqueria in Wausau, Wisconsin, and we thought this would be a great place to get our nachos on.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole;
And have our bevies and talk about end-of-the-year stuff.
Meghan:
Yeah. If I can remember it. We'll see. We'll see how this goes.
Nicole:
All right. First question. Megan, how many books did we read this year?
Meghan:
So, this would have been maybe 24 is my guess. I'm guessing about that. Yeah. I have a stack of these books back at my hotel room. And that's each.
Nicole:
Each. So probably about 50-ish books total. Yeah.
Meghan:
Well, and I read some bonus books in in the middle of that as well. So, I'm gonna say at least one book every other week. Yeah.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
What do you think our spiciest book of the year was?
Meghan:
So, I know my answer. I can't think of a name. What was what was my book uh that was the Hollywood book?
Nicole:
Yes, that was early on. But that you gave a Carolina Reaper.
Meghan:
Carolina reaper, because it left someone dead. Yeah.
Nicole:
That was Tricks of the Trade by Ben Tyler.
Meghan:
Yeah. And and for a while there, I even debated whether or not it was an actual romance. Uh, because it felt like most of the beginning of the book was just a lot of smashing. There wasn't there wasn't a lot of good inter-personal building of a romance. But then toward the end, my main character actually found a really solid dude. This has been so long. I don't remember the guy's name either, but I remember continuing to say, like, constantly, like, thank God for Ron, because that was that character.
Nicole:
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Meghan:
Because I remember that book would have been unbearable, but thank God there was one redeeming character. But yeah, it left somebody literally dead from sex.
Nicole:
Yeah. I think for my spiciest book for the year, I didn't ever hit the Carolina Reaper level for the podcast. Um, there was some habanero level ones, but I honestly don't think there was anything super spicy in what I had that was the spiciest. It's all kind of equivalent. So, I probably have five or six books. So, I'm gonna say that you probably had the spiciest book in the podcast.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
Favorite book couple from the year.
Meghan:
So, this took some thought. I had to ponder, but I'm gonna go back to uh the Kraken’s Sacrifice. Oh, yeah, yeah. That was Thane and Catalina. Yeah. I just really appreciated how caring they were. It was a uh respect and bodily autonomy and caring for each other through sickness and things like that. So, I just really appreciated the slow build. And they were the ones that built intimacy through um playing board games. And I thought that was just very sweet-
Nicole:
That's right. I forgot about that.
Meghan:
Yeah. And how about you?
Nicole:
I'm gonna say my favorite book couple is Cinnamon and the Demon from that time I got drunk and Saved the Demon by Kimberly Lemming, because he just admired her fierceness in her pocket snacks and her ability to cook. And right away was enthralled with her and never expected her to change, as we sometimes see occasionally in romance books. And they just had a fun little romp of adventure, and Cinnamon was pretty awesome. So, I'm rooting for them. There you go. All right; next question is most disturbing size of a schlong during this year's podcast.
Meghan:
So most disturbing size. There were quite a few that were far too big, but I I'm gonna go for what was my under the other underwater one. The Emma Ham book with the undine.
Nicole:
Whispers of the Deep. Whispers of the Deep. Okay. I flipping loved that book. Yeah. So much. I've already gotten through the second book in that series. I have the third book sitting at my house, and the fourth one is not out in paperback yet, or it would be there. So, this is not a commentary about whether or not the books are good. I loved it.
Nicole:
Yeah. And we love us some Emma Hamm in general.
Meghan:
Oh, yeah. In general. He not only had one giant shlong, he had two. And there was a scene where she serviced them both. Oh gosh. And I just kept thinking, nah. Not like that.
Nicole:
No.
Meghan:
Uh and yours? Oh, it's definitely gonna go to our Minotaur friend from Morning Gory Milking Farm. Okay. Um C M Nascosta? Yes, I think it's CM Nascosta. It goes to the Minotaur man. Yeah. Uh, because it was described as being the size of her arm. And yeah, I was like No. No.
Meghan:
And again, if you got two. Double no.
Nicole:
Right. All right. Along that line, best anatomy references or descriptions. Do you want me to go through our lecture?
Meghan:
Oh. I think I already have it in my head
Nicole:
Okay, go for it. Go for it.
Meghan:
I'll tell you one I thought was kind of fun was slick heat.
Nicole:
Yes, the slick heat.
Meghan:
Slick heat. But you know, you might be able to convince me that there's something else that I need to vote for.
Nicole:
Okay. So, scrolling back to the notes, we have uh dewey folds.
Meghan:
No.
Nicole:
Bulbous head. We have uh the prehensile penis.
Meghan:
Yeah. I mean, that's good, but that's more of um just telling us what it is instead of like right descriptive, yeah.
Nicole:
Feminine heart, manroot. That was one of my favorites.
Meghan:
Yeah, okay, for the male anatomy, manroot. That is the one good thing that Bertrice Small gave us. Manroot.
Nicole:
Uh, Bertrice also gave you leisure sheath.
Meghan:
No, that's a big no.
Nicole:
Uh slick he slick heat. Um the snug portal.
Meghan:
No.
Nicole:
And snug clasp.
Meghan:
Oh. The clasp. That's right. No, that's a big no as well.
Nicole:
Uh and that that's what I have on our ledger that we remembered to fill out prior to show recording.
Meghan:
Yeah, yeah. Manroot.
Nicole:
That was that was amazing.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
All right. Favorite romantic reminder of the year.
Meghan:
Uh, well, most recently, splooge syrup. I would go for that. However, again, back to the board games, creating intimacy through alternate meetings. I really like the board games. I also feel like there's like we always talk about a lot of communication issues. In Stay, he met her where she was. She was having a hard time communicating verbally, and they had always had a um messaging relationship. They had talked a lot through text.
Nicole:
Yeah. And so even though they were sitting next to each other, he knew she was uncomfortable. And he just started texting her. Which I love. Broke the heat. Broke the tension. Broke…
Nicole:
Broke the heat. Broke the heat.
Meghan:
Well, it created some heat, is what it did. Oh, right. I thought that was very nice as well. So, I don't have necessarily one, but a handful.
Nicole:
Yeah. Um, for me, I really loved In How to Hold the Hungry Werewolf by Charlotte Stein, how they were making little forts, blanket forts, closet forts, that type of thing, little tree forts. And I think that's a great little snugly cuddly thing to do in a romantic relation.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
Really liked that one.
Meghan:
It again, a different form of intimacy.
Nicole:
Yes.
Meghan:
Is nice because it builds the relationship out multiple ways.
Nicole:
Yeah. Favorite running joke.
Meghan:
I mean, oh, we're only for this year, though, because I'm gonna say Lanconian raisins.
Nicole:
Lanconian raisins forever. Forever. But that's from last year. But it still continues to amuse the shit out of us. Yeah, I can't get rid of the Lanconian raisin. And that was from The Princess by Jude Deborah. Yes. Oh, favorite running joke. I don't know. I just particularly love when you say something silly and then I get to lean into the microphone and whisper something stupid back. Which is not necessarily a running joke. I just liked hearing it.
Nicole:
Yeah. I think for me, favorite running joke, uh, whenever you throw out the word into the ether, out in the aether. And then we had the interview with uh the romance book store owners. And one of them backed us up on the aether thing or backed you up on the aether thing, was Carrie from Thirst Books in the Milwaukee area. And she also used the word aether. And I thought you were gonna lose your shit right down there on the recording.
Meghan:
I was so pleased, because this one makes fun of me for it. And so having somebody else say it. And when we were at that event, yes, there was an author, Del Blackwater, who I just finished her book as well, which was Dead Egyptians.
Nicole:
Yes.
Meghan:
Um, she also used the phrase into the ether while we were hanging out together that that night. And I'm just like, I feel like I've won.
Nicole:
You were validated.
Meghan:
I felt very validated. So, thank you to Karrie and thank you to Del. I really appreciate it. Favorite book location or setting? I read one of the charming books from Heatherly Bell. Not necessarily for one of our regular episodes, but in preparation for our interview with Heatherly Bell. And I think it was a charming bookshop. I think that's the name of it. I love a good bookshop. So, I'm I would say that one from Heatherly Bell or my alternate would be All I Want is You by Fallon Ballard. Um, that one was set in a remote fancy hotel, and they get snowed in and they have to hang out there. And what I really appreciated about that was both the main character were authors, and so she was kind of forced to have this sabbatical, and she's able to sit down and write, and she would sit at the coffee shop down in the hotel, and it just felt very comforting.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
I liked that as well.
Nicole:
Yeah. I think favorite overall location along the lines of Heatherly Bell, she has the whole Stone Ridge, Texas, um, Men of Stone Ridge series. And I read How Boy It's Christmas for our Christmas in July. And I am so intrigued by this fictitious town that she has created. I think it's really great because it sounds like a great community um and a great, just really picturesque area. But then in terms of an actual physical setting location type of thing, I'm gonna say Milwaukee.
Meghan:
Aww. Yeah, yeah. Your “Men of Milwaukee”?
Nicole:
Yeah. And “Find Me” by Liz Lincoln, and that was set in Milwaukee with the whole recombobulation at the airport. Milwaukee's got a special place in my heart, so…
Favorite fantasy romance character.
Meghan:
I have discovered this year, and it should come as no shock to me, that in general I love the fantasy realm of the romance genre. So, you know, I love me some Mothman.
Nicole:
Yes.
Meghan:
However, he's not a fantasy, he's real. So…
Nicole:
Right?
Meghan:
So, I'm gonna I'm gonna leave him off the list for now. He doesn't count. Uh, I would go back to either Thane of Kraken’s Sacrifice or oh, what was my guy's name from Emma Hamm?
Nicole:
Whoa, don't ask me for names.
Meghan:
Oof. The undines. I do love the undines.
Nicole:
Um, my favorite fantasy romance character, I think, is probably the guy from Call of the Sea.
Meghan:
The merman.
Nicole:
The merman. Yes. And I, for the life of me, I can't remember his name, but serial at names, but I remember the story. Oh, yeah. And I remember he had like a realistic body because she described him as having like a softer tummy, but still very strong, broad because he's a merman, you know.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
Um, but I like it when there's a realistic type of male, even though he's a merman.
Meghan:
That was Emily B. Rose, right?
Nicoole:
Yes, yes. And we got to meet her. We got B. Rose. And I got her to sign my copy.
Meghan:
Yeah. I remember that you were really pleased with that.
Nicole:
Yes. Yeah. Very I was totally fan girling. May have embarrassed myself this time. Favorite episode theme, because we've gone with a lot of themes this year on the podcast.
Meghan:
I do. Uh, either underwater, which shocked me. I hate being cold, I hate being wet. I did not expect that would be my favorite genre. And I don't know if it's the genre or the authors I picked. Yeah. Because I do feel like um Katee Robert and Emma Hamm are just fun and good authors. So, it may have been that.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
But I love The Underwater. And I liked the book swap for is Oh, yeah, yeah. I think that theme was good because it definitely took me out of my comfort zone. And it was really fun to pick out books for you.
Nicole:
Yes.
Meghan:
I loved that. It was fun.
Nicole:
Yeah. I also enjoyed the book swap, but in terms of my favorite theme, it's gonna be a tie between the underwater romances because I'm a mermaid at heart, mermaid on land. And then also the creature feature. We went hog wild on creature feature books in October. Loved that too.
Meghan:
That was also very fun.
Nicole:
I will never read four books for four podcasts in one month again.
Meghan:
I would, because my books were only a hundred pages each. So..
Nicole:
Also, the editing though was pretty ferocious for me. That got to be a lot. So, we survived it.
Meghan:
We did.
Nicole:
But I'm not gonna repeat it anytime soon.
Things we have learned about our personal preferences towards themes, subgenres, characters, plot points. What have you kind of gotten in touch with yourself on this year?
Meghan:
Well, like I mentioned earlier, I like the fantasy world. I do. I love a good uh immersive experience. And I like reading as escapism. So, for me, if it ends up being a little bit too realistic, I get bored. So, I need to be trying to figure out a mystery.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
That is why during Creature Feature Month, I enjoyed my zombie book as much as I could. Yeah, because it was more of a mystery. Yeah, it was for me, figuring out what was actually going on with the zombies was way more interesting than the love story that was being told. So, I need that. Um it comes as no shock to me that I prefer a jalapeno book over anything spicier. I'm more of a closed-door girly than I am an open door. Um yeah, what did I miss? Did I forget something here that I stood up covering? But that that's kind of where I'm feeling most comfortable.
Nicole:
Um, things that I learned about myself. Uh I just reconfirmed for myself that I definitely prefer instant heat and I am still not a slow burn girl. I reaffirmed that for myself this year.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
And I think I've learned that I like things even spicier than I originally thought I would. I think I went from some very innocent background on romance novels because of reading Judith McNaught and Jude Deveraux and Barbara Cartland and all the classics while I was young and growing up. And not to say that I didn't get an occasional spicy read. Um, but now we're reading these wild books, and I'm like, eh, could be spicier.
Meghan:
Yeah, some of the disappointment you had when you're like, oh, it took like 40 pages before a breast was even mentioned.
Nicole:
Also, we have learned that we don't pay attention to the first breast reference in a book as much as we're supposed to be, because we go right by it and then have to go back and search our books for the reference.
Meghan:
That started as my issue.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
And then it just spilled and became your issue.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
Now you're in that with me. And I have recognized, and I know I mentioned this at some point in one of the podcasts. The more I'm enjoying a book, the less highlighting I do.
Nicole:
Yes, yes.
Meghan:
And so you can tell if I've really enjoyed a book, if you flip through it, there's not all that much highlighting. And that goes back to me saying my brain gets too bored. And so it's looking for things to do. So if there's no mystery, if there's no world building, it's like, well, we need to just highlight every little thing because it keeps me more engaged.
Nicole:
Yeah. Favorite cocktail of the season.
Meghan:
Okay, not favorite. However, uh, I was shocked that I was able to make a actually very delicious drink out of Jepson's Malort.
Nicole:
Oh god. Ew.
Meghan:
And I don't mind Malort. I know that that's a hot take.
Nicole:
Oh God, that is a hot take. It is controversial and I disagree.
Meghan:
Uh yeah, controversial. I don't think it's that bad. However, I did not think that you could make a good cocktail out of it. You can. You just need something grapefruit. It really actually makes Jepsons Malort lovely. And that was for my Bertrice Small book, which was the worst book, which is why I paired it with Jepson's Malort. And you, Nicole?
Nicole:
Uh, the one that I just had on one of our last recording sessions, the Frosted Cranberry Cosmo with the homemade cranberry puree.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
That was scrum-diddly-umtious. And I was like pretty much through the second one by the time. Before we even started, I think. Yeah.
Meghan:
You were just like, I brought all the extra.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
And we were both drinking uh like an uh not a cosmo, but like martini glass…
Nicole:
That went down very smoothly and deliciously and was not overly sweet in a lovely little tartness. Yeah, the one day. Okay. Personally drunkest episode.
Meghan:
I truly don't know because what'll happen is we get done with the episodes and we say goodnight, and then I go back to the kitchen and like we can do one more. I'm already this far. So we'll make another one.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
Grandiose plans of what I'm gonna do next. Because I probably have told you, like, oh, I've gotta go, you know, clean my room and I've gotta go take pictures for work and well, no, no. I take the cocktail, I go sit down, and the next thing I know, it's like three hours later and I've fallen asleep on the easy chair in the living room. I don't know if I can pick out a specific episode, but I'll say that that happens more often than I'd like to admit.
Nicole:
I don't know that I've had a drunkest episode. I I'm usually a pretty even keel on the inebriation through episodes. But we recently had one of our podcast listeners and your sister tell us that we're not drunk enough on our episode.
Meghan:
Thank you, Elena. So my sister uh gave me a brand-new background for my filming atorable, and I hung it up for our most recent. I'm hoping the cat doesn't destroy it. But I've got it there, it's really cute. But she handed it to me and then she said, You guys don't get drunk enough. So my apologies.
Nicole:
Um, we'll work on that, I promise. We'll try to get an episode where we have like some kind of drinking game or something, I think, going on during the podcast recording. As long as I remember to press record, that is the biggest…
Meghan:
We probably got pretty drunk that night too, because we had to record twice.
Nicole:
Yes.
Meghan:
Which episode was that? The creature features…
Nicole:
It was, it was.
Meghan:
Um I think that that was my Sasquatch.
Nicole:
I think so. And I think that's probably the one where I was laughing the most was your Sasquatch one.
Meghan:
We had to squatch the crotch.
Nicole:
Uh-huh. Yeah.
Meghan:
Which is, hey guys, can I just call attention to the fact that that is why we're dressed like this today? We haven't even talked about it. This is our creature feature uniform because we had books where the guys on the cover had matching shirts that looked like the same guy.
Nicole:
Yeah, “How to Help a Hungry Werewolf” by Charlotte Stein was mine, and he was totally wearing red plaid and had like this beard, and then yours was the “Sasquatch Love Spell”. The guys looked like this. My book for an upcoming recording, the guy has the same shirt on.
Nicole:
Oh god. Yeah, my newest Christmas novel. He's got this shirt underneath the big leather jacket. So this is apparently the romance man uniform.
Nicole:
By the way, I did bring up Seven Brides for Seven Brothers DVD, in case we want to try to get to that at some point this week.
Meghan:
Yeah, love niece of Benjamin. Benjamin Pontipee and Dorcas Galen.
Nicole:
All right. Favorite authors this season. We've had a lot of new authors too. Yeah, so Heatherly Bell, Emma Hamm, Katee Robert. Those are those are pretty easy to say. That was a really book. I really enjoyed that. Oh, oh, my Mothman book. Oh yes. Um, her name's escaping me. She's got the Paige Lavoie. Paige Lavoie. She has got the best um Instagram. Oh my god, follow her on socials. Yeah. Adorable.
Nicole:
Always something fun.
Meghan:
Absolutely. Paige Lavoie. The Mothman was written so fun. How about you?
Nicole:
Uh, for me, Heatherly Bell, always gonna make that list. Uh, Emily B. Rose, I loved the whole mermaid vibe thing. I honestly can back you up on the Emma Hamm and Paige Lavoie, even though I didn't read anything for the podcast officially. I'm totally jamming with those writers. I'm gonna say Charlotte Stein really rocked it for me. And then there was some summer ones, I feel uh.
Meghan:
So I'm like, I feel like I'm leaving things out.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
I would read more by who wrote my book Stay. It was uh Serena Bowen.
Nicole:
Oh, BK Borison for me. BK Borison.
Meghan:
Can we look up real quick? I need to uh Stay. Serena Bowen and …
Nicole:
…that was El Kennedy and Serena Bowen.
Meghan:
El Kennedy and Serena Bowen. Yeah. That was that was a fun one. I would read more from them.
Nicole:
And Kimberly Lemming for me, the time I got drunk and save the time, and she's got a bunch more, and I would 100. They're on my TBR list. Yeah, I gotta read them. Yeah, I gotta know what happens.
Meghan:
There we go. And I know we're leaving we're leaving authors out because they're just there were so many.
Nicole:
So many good ones, yeah.
Meghan:
And we've got so many in our TBR list. Yes. To be read.
Nicole:
To be read, yes.
Meghan:
I feel like I need to do something fancy, like “To be read!” I know we're gonna have more authors because they're just books we are really looking forward to.
Nicole:
Yes. So that brings up looking forward to next year.
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
I think we're gonna do away with romantic reminders. We kind of talked about that. Unless something sticks out at us as like, oh yeah, that's a solid romantic reminder. Um, we did food this year. I don't know that we'll do it next year, but we're gonna do pick a number next year. I think that'll be fun because we have giant stacks and we're like always trying to match things up between our two piles. And sometimes you just gotta draw a luck on the number or whatever. Yeah.
Meghan:
I'm I am so looking forward to that. I have my numbers already written out; they're sitting in a in a glass ready for me to pick a number. And basically, we've assigned a number to uh multiple books in our TBR pile. So if I pick a three, I go match it up to whatever book number three is.
Nicole:
Yeah.
Meghan:
That is what I am reading. So I'm excited for it.
Nicole:
Are you gonna draw it out of your martini glass?
Meghan:
Yeah.
Nicole:
Okay, I’ll put mine in a martini glass as well.
Meghan:
I had to clear those out of the martini glass for our last recording.
Nicole:
For our last recording?
Meghan:
Yeah. Yeah. I broken so many glasses this year that I didn't have anything else to drink out of.
Nicole:
Yeah. Any anything new that we're doing next year? I know we've talked about a couple of things.
Meghan:
We've talked about some things.
Nicole:
We're keeping boobie prize.
Meghan:
Oh, yeah. Yeah. As long as we were a member to look for look for the boobies, yeah. I can't think of anything off the cuff right now, but I know we're talking about doing more um like get-togethers and things like that. We were blessed enough to be able to hang out with people in Milwaukee, do face-to-face with authors and other romance readers. We had a really lovely brunch where we got to hang out with other readers and people who were also writers, and it was just really fun. So I think we'll definitely plan another one or two events.
Nicole:
Yeah, for sure. For sure.
Meghan:
We've talked about maybe going live a couple times. See how that goes.
Nicole:
See how that goes. All right. I think that's it for this episode of the podcast.
Meghan:
Yeah, thank you for joining us today for Romance on the Rocks. Uh, please like, subscribe, and if you are a fellow bookish biddy like we are, uh feel free to give us a follow on the YouTubes, the Spotify, the wherever else to your podcast. I don't have my little blurb in front of me right now, so we're doing the best.
Nicole:
I thought you had it memorized by heart.
Meghan:
It's mostly memorized, but I will glance once in a while just to make sure I didn't leave anything out. Because you know what I don't want to leave out is that your support means the world to us. And uh until next time, stay safe and know that you are both.
