Welcome back to the short ball podcast once again for the second time this week. This time previewing the junior reps grand finals coming up on Saturday. We'll be previewing today the Howard Matthews and SG Ball grand finals coming up. Howard Matthews will kick off at 11.45am at Licard Oval. SG Ball at Lycard Oval 3.15 p.m. You've also got on the day, Lisa Fiola at 10am and Tasha Gal at 1.30. I won't be there for the first game, but I will be there obviously from Howard Matthews through to SG Ball. So I'll cover that Tasha Gal game live as well. Mount there might as well. And I was um covering it in a lot of detail. Well not a lot of detail, but I was covering it in detail over the last couple of years as well. Um but just have had to drop off it this year. Um but yeah, we'll get straight into it with our SG Ball grand final preview. It's very easy this year because it's the exact same teams versus each other in both competitions. Um and it's you know the a team right up the top versus a team that snuck in from the bottom half of the top eight. So um very interesting dynamic there. But in SG Ball, we've got a team looking to go back to back for the first time since the Baumain Tigers did in 2012-2013, and that is the Sydney Roosters. This side I've been, if you've been listening to my podcast, you know, throughout the course of the season, I've just been constantly on the Roosters and how stacked their side is and how they're they're the team to beat. They've got seven players named in this weekend's lineup that played last year. Um, and then you know Rex Bathingswaite was a part of that squad as well. Uh Bastion Armstrong was a part of that squad, and he's um oh he might have been Harold Matthews regardless. Um, and then you've got you know Brooklyn Heath, who's still a part of the SG Ball squad now, who was in that starting lineup last year. Um yeah, you it's a very strong side, and then last year's Howard Matthews side, which was you know very talented in its own right, having gone you know near undefeated throughout the course of the season. Um they ended up, or they did go undefeated actually, eight wins, one draw, I believe it was. So um, you know, some of those guys have come up. Charleston Sorora's killed it, he's been one of the best props in the competition. Um you know, it's it's a ridiculously stacked side, and then you've got Central Coast Roosters team who was also really good last year. Cardamarico's come up, and um, some of those other guys as well. So um Echo Party, Fesselay, or like it is a ridiculously stacked side. Um, and this weekend, no Cardamarico, which is huge, he got suspended for a crush tackle, missed the prelim final as well through that. But they've named Josiah Papa and Brock Elliott, and the Haves Brock Elliott I thought had a good game on the weekend in the preliminary finals, had a couple of nice involvements there on that left edge. And um Josiah Pupper, he's always been one with plenty of talent. Uh Daletegraff, I think, had him first or second in the top 50 schoolboys uh in the competition. You know, he's mostly played centre over the last two seasons, uh, but he he's done that you know at a at a relatively high level and uh moving back into the halves for this contest. And and it is interesting to note as well last week Rex Bathswaede did most of the kicking, so they might just go back to that. And you know, Brock Elliott and Josiah Papa, they might just play sort of that running half sort of role. Um, but it is going to be something interesting to watch. This rooster side, defensive intensity is something that I've highlighted a lot with them. Um, and you know, uh I highlighted a couple of weeks ago in the prelim against uh in the semi against the storm, rather, Liam Bell, um Darcy Smith, James Finnegan, Eddie Kalas, like these forwards get up off their line and just they just suffocate you defensively, and they've conceded 9.2 points per game. It is a ridiculous stat throughout the course of an entirety season to have conceded less than 10 points a game. And you know, one of those games they conceded 28 points against a storm. That's the only team that's really been able to break them. Um, and then you know, the the the very next week after the storm got that job done, um the the Roosters beat them 56-6 in a in a uh qualifying final. So yeah, the very, very clinical side. This Roosters team. Um, as for their finals form, that 56-6 win over Melbourne Storm week one, and then they beat the Rabidos 24-14 last week as well, and that was pretty comfortable towards the end as well. 24 points to 10 it was with about 20 minutes to go, and um, they they had that job uh job done with a little bit of time left to spare. And those two teams were undefeated all year, first and second, rabbidoes were first, Storm were second, and they went undefeated throughout the year. Storm technically, um, but I think they split the points with Penrith for that game that got caught off due to lightning. They were down at the time 16-14, um, but they technically are undefeated throughout the course of the year. Three players to watch for the Sydney Roosers this weekend. Darcy Smith, he's a guy who featured last year very heavily. He was one of the best back rollers in the competition last year. He's backed that up again as one of the best back rollers this season, cutting back against the grain, lethal, uh, runs runs a strong line defensively, he's very sound as well. Um, you know, I was seeing a stat around his missed tackles and all that sort of thing, but um a lot of the time he's getting up off the line and and and enforcing um and you know his defence is really sound in in and of itself. And then you know, in attack, he's obviously just he's a lethal weapon out on that edge. Um he scored plenty of tries last year running that tidy line, hasn't probably scored as many tries this year. I'd actually probably need to get that up um in front of me, but uh he's you know still as damaging as ever is Darcy Smith and you know, top age now. He's already won an SD ball competition looking to go two from two. Um and then the next one, Rex Bathingswaite. Uh, he was in everything last week. He's you know a a lethal player. He played in the NRL trolls earlier this year and put it and you know, gave a good account of himself there. Um, you know, and for this age group, he is certainly one of the premier players in the competition in terms of you know fullback or in terms of just generally uh as well. Um good ball playing, good support play, returns the ball well. Um, you know, he's been caught out under the high ball a little bit over the recent sort of weeks, but um I I don't have any real concerns with him under the high ball. Um in terms of you know, you can try and exploit it, but I just don't know that it's necessarily um as big of a weakness as maybe the last couple of weeks has has pointed out. And um yeah, I I just expect him to have a big game here as well. And uh it's a class players, Darcy Smith, Rex Bathswaite, they're they're the class guys in this team. And um a guy who I think's been the best lock in the competition. My third player to watch is Eddie Kalis. Uh obviously Nathan Kalis is a kid, but like that's not um what's turned him into the player he he is at the moment. He Howard Matthews, he was coming off the bench for the Sydney Roosters. I remember particularly a game that I watched against the Panthers. He lit them up um two years ago coming off the bench, and then you know, he was coming off the bench in last year's SG ball side as well, and you know, doing alright. Um and then, you know, he just from last year's experience in this SG ball setup, he is just gone from strength to strength to strength. And he had an awesome game in the grand final last year, and I expected him to do that again, and you know, he was unlucky to miss out on the Australian Schoolboys side, hearing Origin Under 19s being replaced by Origin Under 21s, but if it was still Origin Under 19s, he would have he would be very unlucky to miss out on that side as well because he he was killing it. But um, yeah, keen to see how that sort of story progresses. Um, what's happening with Origin Under 19s and what their plan is there. But regardless, getting off topic a little bit, Eddie Kalis, um you know, gun off loader, carries the ball well. He scored a heap of tries this year as well and set a few up. Um, you know, he he he he's like I said, one of those guys leading that line speed and kick chase every single set. And uh yeah, he's gonna be a guy to watch in this game. And if he produces similarly to what he did last year in the grand final as well, uh you know, he I think he'll produce better than that, um, considering I think he's a much improved player from then. Uh and you know, he's built himself up into one of the premier locks in his age group uh at the moment. And you know, it's a guy who he he he was killing it off the bench over the last couple years, but to go from that um, you know, top age Harold Matthews off the bench in that side that wasn't as strong as his side too, the starting lock and one of the best players in the competition, it's been good to see the evolution of Eddie Kalis um over the last couple years. We'll move on to the Knights. Um, my biggest talking point for them, it's that sort of sense of deja vu with them. Um you know, they've over the last two seasons the Knights have been a very um consistent junior rep side, they've always got stacked talent. Newcastle nurseries are unreal. But um, last year's Howard Matthews side, they went on a run in the back half of the year, ended up getting all the way to the grand final. They were, you know, out of the top eight at about the halfway point of the season, went on this huge run, ended up scraping into the top four make in the uh grand final and lost to the Warriors, who are the defending champions then. Now they've got to take on the defending champions in the Roosters after coming seventh and going on on a late season run. Um, you know, they were sixth in defence throughout the year, eighth in attack, finished seventh on the ladder, but it was that last couple of weeks. I want to say post post-Panthers game might have been. Last couple of weeks, they really saw an uptick in the performance of of their um forward pack in particular, uh, which I've highlighted um you know a number of times over the last couple of weeks, and um yeah, and then this finals run, like you look at the form that they've carried. They beat the Panthers 36-22 week one, then they beat the Storm 36-10. Uh uh, you know, the Storm had come off a 56-6 loss to the Roosters, but that is still a super impressive performance over an undefeated side. Um, well, undefeated in the regular season rather, and then um 40 to 6 over Manley. Like, Manley beat South, who were you know a team that a lot of people were talking up as alright, they're they're gonna, you know, go all the way with this, and you know, undefeated through the regular season, um, a very high quality side. Manly beats them week one, um, and then Knights come out and put 40 on Manley and what was a very, very clinical performance. And I spoke about that on the review. But the form that this Knights side is carrying into this grand final cannot be ignored despite what the stats might tell you about you know where they finished on the ladder and what they did throughout the regular season. They're right up there, and you know, they lost 28 points to four over the Roosters earlier this season. I think it was round four that these two teams played each other in that game. The Roosters suffocated Newcastle. They played a very, very good defensive game, and that was sort of the first time that I'd you know publicly sort of spoken about the Roosters' defensive intensity and pressure because it was just so suffocating in that particular game. The Knights completed at 58%, they won't do that again. I I just cannot see a world where the Knights uh just make so many errors, and you know, a key guy who I'm gonna talk about in a second uh for this night, so I'd made a number of really poor yardage errors in that game as well. Um, and he's a guy who's got a higher standard than that, and uh we'll see how he turns it around in this game. And um, the first of my three players to watch is Toby Winter. He was unreal last week, as my Pathways player of the round. He's been a guy who for the last few seasons I've hyped him up because of just how talented he is. You get him the ball in the red zone, he's gonna create points for you. You can you know allow a few errors here and there because you know that when you get that um attacking opportunity, he's gonna capitalise for you. And um he did so last week. Two tries, a try assist, and um, you know, twice two other tries he was in the build-up too. Um and you know, defensively, he was really good last week as well. And he's just put together season after season of elite junior reps performances, and you know, if you're picking an origin under 19 side, he'd be in the centres alongside Dane Jennings. And I don't think you'd find anyone who watches these junior competitions that would argue otherwise. Um, and yeah, he's just an elite calibre of a performer at this age group, uh, and I'm very keen to see how he goes in, you know, on the biggest stage in a grand final, because he hasn't had that opportunity yet, Toby Winter, um, to perform in a grand final. Uh, he was a part of Hunter Sports High's Peter Maholland cup um charge, you know, over the last couple of seasons. Has done some um, you know, he's done some really good things for Hunter Sports, but he he he hasn't had that chance on the biggest stage to to really shine. I'm very keen to see how he goes um in this SG Ball grand final. The next guy, Chase Butler. Now, can we settle with the Joey comparisons? I'm sick of seeing somebody say next Joey, next Joey, next Joey, just because he's a number seven from Cessnock, right? But I can see why Newcastle fans are getting super excited over this kid. You know, he's 18 years old now, he's an age up, and he's just led his team to the grand final for the second straight year in junior reps competitions. Uh very, you know, clinical game managing half. He's got talent on top of that, but you know, the most impressive part about Chase Butler's game as a number seven is is his defense. I'd say his tackle efficiency is up over 90%. I don't have the stats in front of me, but um, you know, he he's on a number of occasions making huge one-on-one stops close to the line. He done such a good job on Anatoni Large and Bo McKee last week. And just, you know, over the last two seasons in Howard Matthews and in SG Ball, he's proven in his age group of under 18s, he's probably the best defensive seven of the comp. And that's uh best defensive seven in the age group, rather, and that's you know, comparing him to the likes of Carter Mariko is also an elite defensive seven. Um, you know, just his his ability to come up with those major stops that his team team needs is is right up there, and he his chase and his efforts and all these sorts of things. Um he's a guy that you know it's very reasonable for Knights fans to get excited about. Again, under 18, he hasn't been tested uh at the open's level yet. There's so many things that can change from from you know now to then. But um in terms of halfback prospects, he's right up there uh is Chase Butler. And um, if he wasn't from Cessnock, he probably wouldn't have the pressure of those Joey comparisons that you know the um you know the journalists want to throw up. But yeah, he's obviously a class guy to watch. And Diesel Hagen, he's one that you know he got his News of Wars Cup debut uh earlier this season. He came back to this SG ball side, he's my third player to watch here, and um he's come back to this SG ball side and lit it up over the course of this final series. He's been one of their best players in each of the three games that they have played. Um, you know, he he came away with an injury in the semi-final, he came off and was on crutches or in a moon boot or something, and um, but he's ended up being sweet and played an awesome game against Manley last week. And you know, um I've named three spine players here. I haven't even named any of their forward pack who who've probably been the stars of the show in this final series. But you know, these three guys are extreme class, and when you've got a forward pack that's in the form that the Knights forwards are, with you know, three guys in key positions like Toby Winter, Chase Butler, and Diesel Hagen, that's gonna cause dramas for whatever team you're versing. So I think you know, a lot of people might on face value look at this contest and go, hey, the Roos is uh the significantly um better side in terms of you know ladder position, defensive or like defensive attacking stats, all these sorts of things, but do not ignore the form of this Newcastle Knights finals run at all. Um, you know, and the Roos is 56-6 over the Storm and uh 24-14 over the Rabbitos, like you just tie that form in. They've beaten the Storm by 50. Knights beat the Storm by 26, not that it matters, you it's still a huge win. Um, but I'm very keen to see how this one plays out. Uh I do think the Roosers win. I've been saying all season that I think the Roosers will win. I've said it since the preseason, since I've seen their team list pretty much. Um, which you know, if you've if you've been following the junior rep scene, this is one of the more stacked side you'll ever see. Um but yeah, just I've just learned not to underestimate a team in form. Um Howard Matthews will start off with the Roosters once again here. They finished sixth on the ladder. Another team, though, that they're all three and three halfway through the season. Then they have just won their last five games straight in very convincing fashion as well. Or, you know, in terms of um they've looked very good in doing so. I I said it a couple of weeks ago, they're a fun footy side to watch, and just their defence as well, line speed, shots on all these sorts of things, back rolls and halves, they hint stick. Uh, it's an entertaining brand of footy that these team that this team plays. I think they've got the best spine in the comp. Harper Boothroid, he's been killing it this season, you know, particularly last week. Three try assists, four line break assists. He had an awesome game. Charlie Webb and Sam Large, you know, Charlie Webb, sort of that all over the place number seven. He's got a great running game, he's so creative, he can do all this, and then Samuel Large, that that sort of calm, collected hand, the the ball playing that he possesses, both of them defensively, very, very good. They will hit and stick, they are not spot defenders at all, unlike a lot of other halves. Um, and then you know, out of number nine, Caleb Zara, who is in my team of the year. Um, and you know, you want to include the 13, Marcos Sando, who's probably been the best 13 in the competition over the second half of the season. Um, you know, it's it's a very, very formidable spine. It's a good forward pack that's intimidating and physical that gets in your face. Their finals form, they beat Manley 26-6, didn't quite complete it at a huge uh percentage there. Their attack wasn't quite clicking, but um, you know, defensively they just overwhelmed Manley. They forced the halfback to kick out in a full two or three times just with their kick pressure and and all these different, you know, little parts of the game that build up into just suffocating the opposition, and then um they beat Panthers 22 to 14 again. Another game where they didn't complete all that high. I think they completed about 63% in this game, but again, it was their defensive intensity and their physicality that got them over the line there, and then you know, the Steelers, probably their most complete game, and it had to be against the Steelers side who was up for the contest. They beat them 36 points at 26. Um, you know, they gave away a fair few penalties in this contest, probably going over the top in terms of you know what I was speaking about with their physicality and that, but you know, they conceded tries off kicks for for the most I think two or three of their tries were off kicks. Um the the Steelers, and you know, there was a couple of occasions where they got split open, you know, for the Asher Chapman try, they got split, they got stripped for numbers on an edge um once or twice, but you know, for the most part, 96% completion rate and attack, they were flowing brilliantly, and then when the big plays needed to be made defensively, they made them and came away with the win there. So they've had an awesome final try, and they've had an awesome back end to the season. You know, to start three and three in a Howard Matthews competition, then be there in the grand final, it's it's pretty, you know, pretty tough to do. Um, but you you do see these sides just catch fire. I mentioned it with the Knights last year and Howard Matthews and you know the Warriors in in 2024 as well. They sort of did a similar thing, they just caught fire, they took it all the way to winning the competition from sixth. The Roosters are finished sixth, they've caught fire. Not too dissimilarly to how the Warriors didn't, and they've had to win an extra game because of the new finals format. Because back when the Warriors did it, you know, they finished sixth, they play third, then they had to play um second, and then they played first, or they played they had to play first in a prelim, and then had to play second in a in a grand final, whereas, you know, this is a top four format, so Roos's uh top eight format rather, the Roosers had to verse um seventh week one, and then they verse, you know, semi-final, loser of first and fourth, etc. etc. You know how the finals formats work. Um, three players to watch, um, guys that I've somewhat highlighted because they're all members of the spine, but I think they're just the class players in this side. Marco Sando, he's he's been the best forward in the competition this final series. Uh, you know, he was good throughout the season, he's his pre-season as well was particularly eye-catching. Um, and then he's just you know caught fire, he's consistently been their top run meters um right up the top of their tackle counter as well every single game. Um, and you know, just that physical presence through the middle uh and you know his ability to carry the ball up is sort of second to none at the moment. And you know, he's making big meters per carry as well. It's not like he's going through you know 20 runs to get to his 150 meters, he's getting to these numbers in 11 or 12 runs. He makes them count um and makes big meters every single time he carries the ball, and he's that close to the line, damaging, and he's formed a good combination with another guy who I'm gonna talk about in a second. But Charlie Webb's my second player to watch for the roosters. Yeah, he's just a live wire half, and um you can't really underestimate him. Uh last season he was very good. I think him and Lockie Metcarfu, they're both very um good ball dominant halves. I didn't think they mesh. Quite as well last year, but um he was still very eye-catching, Charlie Webb. And then this season, him and Samuel Large's combination has been huge, and you know, he's been allowed to be that sort of on ball, dominant, um, sort of play what he sees kind of half, and he's really relished in that role, and you know, just been able to pull things off, and he doesn't get it right every time, but when he does get it right, it sparks for this side, and it's very entertaining to watch. Um, and he's a huge reason why they are where they are. In fact, he's probably one of the biggest reasons. Um, and then the last guy, Caleb Zara, he's you know, I've mentioned him a lot throughout the season, as with the other guys as well, but um, you know, Caleb Zara tops their defensive numbers, you know, pretty much week on week, high F at number nine, his service is really good, and his running game, when he starts using it, is lethal as well. So they've got so many different points of attack, you know, they've got their halves. You know, Samuel Large is an elite ball player, he can run the ball well as well. Charlie Webb's an elite ball running half, um, you know, half a booth right out the back, who's been really good, the forward pack, all this and that. But you know, you take your eyes off the nine, Caleb Zari will strip you. He's he's topped the um tri-scoring tally for number nines in this competition as well. So um, you know, despite the fact that you might for the most part of the game, you're looking at him, it's like, oh, it's off the deck, and it's good defense, and that's a really, you know, those are the two things. Like I've said, there's two things that make you a really good number nine. It's good service to you know your forwards and to your halves, and it's um good defence. Those are the two things that you need to be a good number nine, and then he's added that, you know, running game. His kicking games come along as well in this season as well. I've seen him kick a little bit more. Um, obviously, I've seen a fair bit of him at Para. Um, he was in Para's system development-wise, and um Hills Bulls Jr. like um a couple of players from this Rooster's side. Hills Bulls pretty much a feeder side for the Roosters at the moment. Um I know they'll feed, I know their Ron Massey was um feeding through the Roosters at one point. Um, I'm not sure if that's still the case, but um yeah, Hills Bulls and Sydney Rooster's connection is huge at the moment. Um, shout out to the junior club there. Um, but we move on to the Newcastle Knights. Their left edge is the best in the competition. Riley Rostran, Cade McKay, Malachi Fiverr Airline, Nate Vincent at the end of there, he he's had a very high try count. I think he's on eight so far this season out on that left wing. You know, you look at the highlights for a Newcastle game, I'd say 80% of their tries are down that left edge, involving you know one of those four guys. Riley Rostran's probably been the best six in the competition, K McKay's probably been the best back row in the competition. If you told me Malachi 5 Elo is the best center in the competition, I wouldn't push back too too hard. Um, you know, and he's a 16-year-old, he he's up an age in this contest, so you know, that is a very, very stacked, stacked edge. And you know, Nate Vincent as well. I'd sort of a lot of the time mention this left edge and like wrap those three guys. I don't forget about him either, out on that left wing. He he's contributed his um, you know, he he's pulling his weight out on that edge as well. Um, and you know, that's been a big part of why they're where they are at the moment is just how they can go out to that side and one of those four guys is going to do something and they're gonna put points on the board. You know, that eight-no, first on the first on the ladder, third in attack and defence, um, but you know, they're winning games, so that overall those overall numbers don't really mean anything if you're eight-no and you're in a grand final. Um, you know, their finals formed, they started off with a 20-16 loss against the Steelers, their first loss of the season. But you'll find a common sort of theme here. All the undefeated sides, they're nowhere to be seen in these grand finals. Um, you know, the the Roosters, they got past two undefeated sides to make it to the grand final after losing in round nine. Um, and then you know, the Knights, probably a loss they needed to have against the Steelers week one of the finals, because then they've come out and won 24-18 over the Eels and then 18-10 over Souths. You know, that they've just been able to get the job done and keep winning and winning forms, good form. Uh you know, it's a common common saying across um a lot of different sports, but you know, when you're putting up wins after wins after wins, you cannot be ignored. Um and you know, the Knights have got the best winning form in in the Howard Matthews competition. Uh, and you know, when you see a team that finished first on the ladder versus the team that finished sixth on the ladder, the the team that finished first rightfully probably should be favourites. Um again, I think Roosters are gonna do the double. Uh I I've I said it a couple weeks ago as well. If you've been listening to the podcast week on week, when the Roosters versus the Panthers in semi-finals in that preview, I said the winner of this game is gonna win the comp because I thought the Panthers were the best team in the competition, they're the most stacked, they'd shown the most through the throughout the regular season, despite being beat by the Knights in round six. Um, you know, they'd shown a lot throughout the season, you know, they went bounce-bounce, but you know, in in that the Roosters were a team on the up, whereas probably the Panthers were just traject would were in sort of that downwards trajectory when it came to finals time, and Rooster were on the up. And I thought that you know the Roosters, the way that they were trending, if they were to beat the Panthers, they'd go on and win the whole thing. Um, and I'm gonna stick by that. But um, yeah, the Newcastle Knights, you you you you'd be silly to say that they're probably not favourites um in this game because they did finish first on the ladder and they have got that winning form. Three players to watch. Uh I mentioned that left edge. I'm just going all in on this knight's left edge because and if I'm the Roosters and I'm doing video on this side, it is left edge, left edge, left edge. And I was talking about it with South, you know, last week. They've got got you know, Willie Mason talks about this for a bit, like all those bulldogs, but it's head on a plate. It's these three guys, Riley Rosh and Cade McKay, Malachi 5A Eli. You've got to shut them down if you're any hope of winning the game. And you know, Riley Rostran, Silky Ball playing, good running game, electric, all these sorts of things. Cade McKay, his kick chase is lethal. Um, you know, runs a good line, strong with the ball in hand, good defender, Malachi 5A Eli. You only have to look at his numbers last week to show what he can produce. You 219 run meters, 11 tackle breaks, um, and you know, those 219 run meters come from 21 carries, 13 tackles without a miss. Like, he's those three guys out on that edge will just give you so much attack, and with ball in hand, they run the ball very strongly, and defensively they're sound as well. So you've got to put you've just got to do a job on those three if you're any chance. Um, but we'll wrap up the grand final preview there. Um, in terms of tips, like I said, I think roosters will do the double. Um, and you know, I'll just put this one in there because I've been very pro-roosters, and I like to be a little bit anti-roosters for your roosters fans. Not all of them are your juniors, half of them are from the Central Coast, Hills Bulls, Parramatta Juniors, New Zealand Juniors, all these sorts of guys. So you still got no juniors in grubs, but nah. With the Roosters, right? That they're building a brilliant pathway out there. And the bloke who um the bloke managing their pathways at the moment is the same guy who was who was at the Raiders, I believe, um, who was signing, you know, the likes of Sab Tamale, Chevy Stuart, and all them, brought all those guys down to Raiders, and everyone was praising Raiders for their junior recruitment and development and all that sort of thing. Same guys at the Roosters. Now I might get his name up just out of respect. Roosters. Um bear with me, Roosters, um Pathways Recruitment, I believe. Um, but yeah, the same, it's the same guy, I'm I'm fairly certain, and he's been able to recruit and retain um, you know, elite players in their system, which is allowing them the chance to go back to back and allowing the chance to do the double here. Um, Joel Carbone. Yeah, Joel Carbone's the guy head of recruitment, Joel Carbone, um, formerly with the Canberra. So um, yeah, he's doing an awesome job at the moment with the Roosters as well. And, you know, they're gonna reap the rewards of how strong they've built their junior pathways to be. And I can't wait for if they do the double or the Roosters fans, it starts flooding the comments talking about oh, but we've got no juniors, but we've got no juniors, and you know what? Fair play to them. Um, wrap it up. See us on the next one.
