Luke 1

Luke begins by explaining his purpose for writing an orderly account of Jesus’ life. He details the angelic announcements of John the Baptist’s and Jesus’ births. Mary visits Elizabeth, and both rejoice in God’s plan. John is born, and his father, Zechariah, prophesies about the coming Messiah.
