Okay, I want to talk about Pinterest, which is not unusual for this podcast, as you well know, but today I want to talk about it in a way that you normally don't hear about, especially from me. Because most of the time, Pinterest gets talked about like this. How much traffic did you get? How many outbound clicks? How many leads? And while those things matter, because we, you know, we're in this business to grow and make money, it's not really the full picture of what this platform can do for you. I hear this a lot in my networking circles. I tried Pinterest, but it didn't really do much. And what they usually mean is I didn't see immediate traffic, I didn't get a lead right away. So it gets written off, but Pinterest doesn't always show up in an obvious way first. It works a little more quietly than that. We're used to platforms where you can post something, see engagement, get feedback right away, all of those vanity metrics. And it's exciting and it's thrilling, but it's also sometimes overwhelming. And thankfully, Pinterest doesn't work like that. You can create something and not see something happen immediately, and that can feel like it's not working, but here's the shift: just because you don't see immediate results doesn't mean nothing is happening. Pinterest is building something in the background, it's helping people find you, save your content, recognize the work that you do, and associate you with a specific style or niche. And that process of indexing doesn't always show up as a click right away. What's actually happening behind the scenes is your content is being indexed, it's being categorized, it's being connected to searches, real live searches. And over time, that builds something really important, relevancy or familiarity. So when someone sees your work again, gets a referral, lands on your site, you are not brand new to them. And that matters way more than people realize because that no-like trust factor is huge. One of the biggest indirect benefits of Pinterest is the clarity that comes from it. Because Pinterest forces you to be specific, you have to decide what are my boards about, what am I trying to be found for? What type of weddings do I actually want? And you cannot stay vague in that lane for long. And that clarity is going to carry into everything else that you do. Pinterest also strengthens your positioning because when your content is consistent, people start to associate you with something specific. That could be a style, a type of client, a certain experience, and that makes referrals so much easier when you get specific. Because vendors know exactly who to send your way because of your specific information. And then there's search. Even if someone doesn't click right away, your content is still showing up, it's still existing in places where people are actively looking for solutions, motivation, inspiration, products, services, everything. And over time, that visibility builds and it doesn't rely on you being online every single day. It's already doing it for you. So instead of asking, is Pinterest getting me traffic right now? A better question is, what is Pinterest helping me become known for? Because that is what's going to compound. This is why Pinterest works so well with everything we've talked about in the last month. When your systems are aligned, workflows are clear, and your focus is defined, Pinterest becomes a layer that reinforces all of it. Not something separate, not something extra, but something that strengthens your overall visibility. So I want you to think about this. What is your current visibility actually reinforcing about your business? And is that what you want to be known for? Pinterest is not about traffic alone. It's also about clarity, positioning, and long-term visibility.
