Yay—we welcomed our second male guest to the show! I was so excited to sit down with my friend, Joe Wallen. In this episode, Joe opens up about his journey of self-discovery, career changes, and ultimately finding his purpose in an unexpected place.

While family and being a dad remain Joe’s top priority, he shares his ongoing search for meaningful work—something that brought both joy and the ability to serve others. Like me, Joe has worn many hats across different industries, always open to learning and growing. But after a tough stint trying to work for a friend and his business, he knew something had to change.

That change came from a conversation his wife had with a friend who worked in their local school district. Though Joe had no formal teaching background, education had always been a dream of his. With encouragement and a leap of faith, he interviewed for a teaching role—honestly unsure if he could make it work. But he showed up authentically, and they saw his potential.

Today, Joe is thriving in special education, a field that allows him to be both impactful and creative. His story is full of heart, honesty, and inspiration.

Tune in and be reminded that sometimes the right path finds you—you just have to be open to it.
