The Amityville Horror House - High Hopes or High Hoax?

Christina Cameron & Alicia Lenoir

On a cold November night in 1974, Ronald "Butch" DeFeo, Jr. brutally murdered his entire family as they slept in their Long Island home at 112 Ocean Avenue that was lovingly nicknamed, "High Hopes". A year later, the Lutz family moved in - only to flee just 28 days later, claiming the house was haunted by demons. In this episode, we discuss the DeFeo murders and the controversial haunting that inspired books and films, as well as separate truth from fiction. What REALLY happened in the Amityville house, and why does its legend still haunt us today?
