A NEW MOON AND LILITH'S STORY

Jules Ferrari

Today we look at how to utilise the astrology of the week, we discuss the story of Lilith and deeper understandings, practically speaking, of this Scorpio archetype.

The Pearls of Venus and Lilith starts this Friday on the New Moon and you can sign up here. Or, if you wish to dive into Lilith, I have this workshop available.

Hi, how are you? I am going to talk about the new moon that we have coming up on Friday, and I'm going to talk a little bit more about how to utilize Scorpio season. Before I clicked record, I was just having a look at my chart, which I don't do that often. Certainly not obsessed with it. I think when I was learning astrology, and I think this is quite normal from Speaking with other astrologers and all of the students in, that I have in astrology school, when you're first getting into it, there's a real desire to look and understand, and you probably look at your chart quite a lot, but, over the years, that's, for me, that's less and less. I'm certainly aware of the transits that I'm experiencing. I think that's a really good thing to be aware of for all of us, because essentially the transits are the sky. Now the solar system, everything that's taking place up there or here, cause we're a part of it and how that is Relating to your natal chart, how that's relating to the planetary bodies and energy points in your chart. So the transits, I always say, if there's a lot going on. in your life, then there's probably some strong transits happening. Sometimes there's years where, or periods where it feels pretty chilled. And then there's other times where there's a lot of action. When there's a lot of action, there's probably a lot of celestial action going on. And really the transits are these teachers, these active moving teachers that are working to bring things. into focus for us or activate parts of our hero's journey. We all get those calls to the journey at different points and in different areas of our life. Anyway, I was just looking at my chart and it's funny. Cause I have this pearls of Venus and Lilith course starting on Friday with the new moon and Scorpio. And so right now mercury in the sky, which is currently in Scorpio. is bang on my Lilith and then Lilith in the sky, which is in Libra right now is bang on my Ascendant. So the archetype of Lilith is really quite active within me right now, so with this new moon on Friday, I think I've said this here before, it's never a very energetic or intense or emotional time, at least not for me. And how I would explain that astrologically, it's because the sun, our consciousness, And the moon, our unconscious or subconscious, same gif in my opinion, are in the same archetype. They're speaking the same language. There's a fluidity between them. And they're conjunct. They're aligned with each other. They're fused together, and they're expressing the same energy. energy through the solar and lunar ways of expressing, one's outer one's inner to really simplify that. So yeah, for me, it's always clarifying or no, it's not even clarifying actually. It's just, I think you could easily not notice a new moon. Whereas with a full moon, you're going to know that something's What's going on? If it's a strong one, and I don't even mean know that something's going on, like it's going to be negative, nothing like that. It's just, there's a tension. There's a tension point because there's an opposition between the sun and the moon. They're able to see each other across the room and they're communicating in oppositional, though complementary, archetypes. But yeah, with this new moon in Scorpio, it's really allowing us to inquire or see deeply the self. If you know your chart, I would be looking again to see where is Scorpio. Where is this new moon taking place for you? What house is it in? The houses being these areas or the terrain, these areas of life. They're like the landscapes. It could be a domestic environment. It could be you in relationship. It could be you out in the world in your work. That's what all the different houses, part of what they represent. There's 12 areas, right? So yeah, this may be a natural time for self inquiry. That's how I'm using this season I love this time of year. I always love Scorpio season. It feels very natural for me, if that makes sense. And something that I've been doing in terms of self inquiry is really looking at my patterning and also contemplating things like what are my daily non negotiables. That's something that I'm looking at right now. And I had one of my beautiful clients on the weekend, we were talking about this and I was saying cause I was offering some insights of things that she could be doing self inquiry around. And I was saying how I've written at the top of a page, like what am I dealing on negotiables? And what I really notice is that the first time I answer those questions, there's an element of me that's wanting to get it right. It's almost like I go back into some kind of Scholastic environment where there's a writer or a wrong answer. I want it to sound good. And so I'm somebody that has to revisit. It's I have to get that out first. It's that's the first layer. And then I need to keep coming back to the same question over days or weeks, like visiting it multiple times to also see what comes out. And that's one way that, and you might, you may not have that. You may have a direct you may be mainlining the absolute, authentic, deepest truth of who you are at all times and hats off to you if that's the case. You're a rare bird, rare species. But that may be something that's helpful during this time is to look into your patterning is such a psychological, like beautifully psychological and deep space that we're in right now. So that may be a practice to play with this week. If you have the time and the inclination what is your relationship to self inquiry? How do you do it? What's your structure? For me, it's always journaling. I need to see things on a page to be able to make sense of them. So this week, okay. With the astrology as it is, we have the sun in Scorpio, we have Mercury here in Scorpio, and towards the end of this week, come Friday, we'll also have the moon here. This can be a brilliant time to inquire, to self inquire about whatever it is that's coming up in your life, especially if there's any kind of repeating patterns. One of the questions that I ask my clients or ask them to contemplate before they have a session with me is, are there any repeating patterns that are coming up? Are there any particular archetypes that may be astrological or even like personality traits that keep presenting themselves in your world? This is a time where we can be more incisive and aware of behavioral patterns. Things that are almost like tripping us up. If you have strong Scorpio in your chart, if you have planets here, or it's on one of these angles, then part of what you may have learned how to do is to hold very deep space for other people. Scorpio is this psychological archetype. It is this alchemist. It is the magi in its higher expressions, which I'll get to over a month together. It is very alchemical. It's the ability to take something can turn it into something else. However, something that I notice is when clients are strong in this archetype, they've learned how to hold space for other people. Other people come to them and offload. And What is so beneficial and that I often recommend to people with a lot of Scorpio is to, there's something so healing when you have somebody that you can go to. Cause a lot of the time I noticed that these people are whole, are the space holder for everyone and no one's holding space for them. And another thing that I always suggest is how can you hold that space for yourself? first and foremost. That would be even something to contemplate this week. How do you hold very deep space for yourself? I had an interesting experience a few days ago where stuff came up from the past or the recent past for me. And I just luckily had the time to really just be in the feelings. And I wasn't trying to, I noticed actually, let's be honest. I noticed that I was saying to myself, it doesn't matter. Like it's fine. It doesn't matter. And then I was catching that and being like, no, it does matter. that's why you're feeling like this and it's okay that it matters. And just being able to tend to myself in that way was so helpful. Scorpio is, like we were saying last week with the intimacy element. Are you at a safe space for yourself is in a home, an area where you can come and replenish and I don't know, be all that you are, even the lesser, less attractive, quote unquote. Expressions of yourself or emotions. Is that allowed in your world? The more that you're able to be that for you and hold yourself, cocoon yourself in uncomfortability, really, so that it can move through you and you can witness it within yourself. I think that's very, that is. a transformative experience. So how do you hold space for yourself? How do you allow yourself to move through things that are less comfy? When it's not just high fives. How do you hold yourself through a shitty day or a shitty hour? What does that look like for you? What are your processes? These might be things to put on a page while we're here, while we're in this depth of being. So I want to talk about Lilith a little bit because she isn't that well known for a lot of people. And her story is incredible. Last week I was saying how the first Roman expression of Venus was this translation that essentially meant obedient Venus. Someone who can supplicate to the desires of another, really. So this malleable being who can take the form of whatever you need me to be right now. What are you attracted to? I can become that, which I think is something that we all have. We all probably run a little bit of this, or at least may have at some stage, whereas Lilith is the opposite of that. She was Adam's first wife and an equal. She wasn't born from his body. She was a solo being, a solo entity, just like Adam was. And she really didn't want to subjugate herself to him. She wanted equality. And it's interesting, because right now she's moving through Libra, which has so much to do with equality and in a domestic landscape, it's a very keen awareness of, is there harmony? Is there equality in the duties that are being taken within this, within the home, etc. She essentially, yeah, didn't want to subjugate herself. She was an equal. She didn't want to be in missionary position all the time. There's a lot more to this. I'm giving you the overview, the little synopsis. Anyway, she ended up leaving Adam. She bailed. And I can never remember whether she went to the Dead Sea or the Red Sea and essentially quote unquote copulated with thousands of sea demons, which I always joke is it must probably just like hot babes that have been explained as sea demons and she had many children. And then when Adam called God down and essentially said, she's left me please go get my woman. God, went to Lilith and when she wouldn't comply, when she was like, no, I'm happy here. This is this, I've built a life here. This is what I'm doing. God wiped out all of her offspring. So death and loss and grief were, and violence were repercussions from. Lilith's expression of sovereignty and equality and I can do what I want. It was deeply frowned upon and there were, yeah, incredible repercussions for her essentially saying, no, I want to do, I want to live like this. I have the ability to have my own life. to be free. And the story continues and there's a sense that, or there's an idea that once Eve was on the block Lilith took on the form of the snake, a snake is often representative of knowledge. It has a number of other expressions as well, but was the snake in the tree that suggested to Eve that she bite the apple? And this is very interesting because we could say that Eve's curiosity, which is also an impulse towards knowledge. and personal freedom through asking questions was also deeply reprimanded by the big dog. And as I was saying last week, like Lilith astronomically speaking is this magnetic point that warps the orbit of the moon. Even though there's no physical thing there, it has some kind of gravitational force. So even astronomically, Lilith is very powerful to be able to warp the moon, but is invisible, is hidden. And Astrologically, what your Lilith represents is an area that you have likely had to push down, consciously or unconsciously, I would say unconsciously because it's something that happens during socialization. It's an area that you've likely had to push down. You may have had an experience of shame or even retribution or something negative that came from you expressing your Lilith. And with all of the parts of your chart, they all represent different functions and roles and aspects of your psyche and being and energy and we need to consciously reclaim all of them. And in reclaiming and consciously utilizing our Lilith, there can be this almost like fear or uncomfortability with the personal power that lives there because that personal power has been rejected or really disliked. by another, or society. I go into a lot more detail about this in the Lilith workshop and certainly you'll be spending a whole week hanging out with this archetype and getting a mini reading from me if you join the Pearls of Venus in Lilith, which starts on Friday. Even outside of that though, I would look to see where your Lilith lives in your chart. What archetype is it in? What sign is it in? How do you express it? Are you conscious of that at all? How are you connected to that part of yourself? And this because we approach the new moon But even now just with the Sun and with Mercury in beautiful deep hectic Scorpio It's a brilliant time for self inquiry. A really great spaceholder is somebody who's navigated a lot of their own psyche, like the heights, the lows, all the side bits. And it's that's how much space they're able to hold. And when we can really see ourselves and communicate to ourselves, the things that we may have shame around, and then even share those things and really transmute them by sharing them with others that we trust. It lessens the charge of the thing. Then that, I think that creates a personality that is psychologically resilient. Because you know yourself, because you have your own back, and because you don't fear your own depths or heights, I would say. because the shadow isn't just dark stuff. It's, there's so much beauty and talent and ambition and desire in our shadow as well. Then we're able to walk through life with a little level of fearlessness because that psychological resilience We've proven, we've shown ourselves that we have our own back, practically speaking, so we can navigate life with a level of, I can handle it. Whatever comes up, I can handle it. And then there's less of a drive to control, which is Scorpio as well, less of a drive to control our external environment or the people in our world. When Scorpio isn't being played very well, and the personality hasn't fully allowed itself to see itself, see its beauty and its ugliness, to turn around and look at the shadow and to make peace with it, to make friends with it, then we will try to control everything we'll be holding on to reality. To me, Scorpio is like falling in love because at a certain point, When you start to have those very strong, deep feelings for another person, you have to fully allow yourself to love somebody, you really have to jump off the edge. Because, they may completely fall for you. Demolish your heart. You don't know how it's going to turn out. It could last forever. It could last for months. You have no, no sense. But to fully imbibe the experience you have to let go and walk into it. You can't hold on otherwise you won't get to have the experience of love. So that to me is Scorpio. It's it, and I guess that's maybe a more of a practical expression of what letting go is because the it's one of these terms where it's like what does that even mean but you have to walk through the fire to get to all the good stuff otherwise you just see the fire and it's absolutely terrifying and you'll never go anywhere near it and then your life will be small But maybe you'll feel happy because you can control it. You can control your small little life. But it doesn't sound very exciting, does it? So yeah, this is a great week for self inquiry. Write yourself some really choice questions at the top of your diary, at the top of a page and return to them throughout the week. See what comes up. Okay, have a beautiful week. Bye.
