THE NEW CURRICULUM - THE SHIFTING OF THE NODES & ECLIPSES

Jules Ferrari

Today we look at the Nodes which will shift on January 11th and live here in Virgo (South Node) and Pisces (North Node) until July 2026. All of our eclipses will now take place in Pisces, Virgo and then Pisces (2026) seasons. We break down the themes and speak to what is already coming through in terms of releasing the unconscious expressions of Virgo.

Level One of Astrology School; Learn the Language and Embody Your Chart will begin on the weekend of the Equinox (22/23rd March) and doors will open for this course in early Feb. You can read all about it and join the waitlist here.

I have about 4 spots left for digital mini readings on 2025 and you can also purchase the workshop on the astrology of 2025 here - it comes with a good looking PDF outlining all the important movements and dates this year.

Also, the back catalogue is on sale until January 11th.

Hi, how are you? Hope you're well. Today I want to speak to this shift in the nodes that is going to take place officially on the 11th of January and I will touch on where they have been, where all of our eclipses have been in Aries and Libra and then this movement into Virgo and Pisces. I'm personally really excited about this. I love the eclipses, I love the nodes, and I love when they shift like this. They spend 18 months in one axis. An axis is, or it's otherwise referred to as a bridge. This bridge or axis between opposing signs. And I really view the shift in nodes as, or wherever the nodes are, wherever the eclipses are taking place, it's like a big part of the foundation of what is on the collective curriculum. You'll just notice within the collective, a movement towards topics in these realms or discussions in these realms or events or culture, movies being produced, whatever it is that really speak to the archetypes. And it's really worth looking at the last 18 months since July of 2023 until the 11th of January next week, or later this week, we have had the South node moving through Libra and the North node moving through. The south node represents the more unconscious expressions of whatever archetype it falls in. And then the medicine, the healing balm, lives within the higher expressions of the opposing archetype, which is what the north node represents. So for A lot of us, particularly if Libra is a strong archetype for you in your chart, it could be on one of the angles or you could have planets here. Part of curriculum has been around releasing the people pleaser, playing nice, not saying the thing or communicating in a way that's really subversive. And we're not subversive, but just deeply indirect. Really looking at things like codependency, for the last three years the nodes have been in these relationship Planets, sorry, these relationship archetypes and axes Taurus to Scorpio and now Libra to Aries and Really things like attachment styles, for example, have really been brought to You into collective consciousness over the last three or so years. There's a real awareness of what are my relational dynamics versus just saying that everyone is a narcissist. And so really with the South node, having moved through Libra over the last 18 months, part of what we've been learning to do for any of you who have this strong, my ascendant is there, i, being an astrologer, knowing that this was coming and where it was going to be in my chart, I was really aware that I was going to have many invitations to be more direct in my communication and say the thing rather than swallow my words and build up resentment, which is very much an unconscious expression of Libra. And that certainly took place, had many consequences. Many uncomfortable opportunities to say the thing and to essentially build the safety in my body to enter into confrontation. And like I didn't have any screaming matches or anything. None of it was like big confrontation, but just disagreement feels like confrontation for me in my body, so it was like, how can I build the safety to, yeah be conscious of what my wants, needs, and desires are, and take action towards those, and communicate what needs to be communicated, one way that you could explain an unconscious expression of Libra is, you go into a social setting, and you're really chilled out socially, in the sense of, Someone says, Hey, what do you want to do? And it's I don't know. What do you want to do? There's this sense of I'm easy. I'm adaptable. I can do whatever what does the group want to do? It's that kind of energy. Whereas Aries is, Oh, here's what I want to do. Aries in its heightened expression is, I would say, viscerally aware. And connected to it's wants, it's needs and it's desires and it takes action in line with those things, towards those things. Whereas the liberate energy can be deeply conscious, primarily of how will I be received if I do this thing? How will this person perceive me? How will my actions affect them? Versus going, I want this. This feels true for me. I'm going to move towards this. And so for a lot of us, we've really been beautifully schooled in gaining more clarity around the self, holding the self in relational dynamics as well, rather than, becoming the other person or just deeply adapting to the lifestyle of another person versus holding our own. And ARIES is really a big archetype this year. There's a lot happening here, which I will speak to more as the year progresses. I just think we should begin this new curriculum by addressing the one that we've just stepped out of, and really looking at how far you've come, if this is a strong dynamic within your own chart, in terms of really having a lot more clarity around the self, your wants, your needs, your desires, being able to hold that when you're around other people and to be comfortable with the sometime discomfort, natural discomfort of, yeah, being in a relationship, having friends, sometimes disagreeing with family and, learning the art of repair versus just deeply avoiding the whole thing, which I think the unconscious expression of Libra. really knows how to do, which is just avoid the whole thing. So they're never destabilized. And I think what's so funny is that when this energy avoids the discomfort, the immediate discomfort of saying, Hey, I don't like that. Or, Hey, could you do blah, blah, blah, rather than blah, blah, blah. When you don't say those things, you're really. Yes, avoiding short term discomfort, but prolonging long term discomfort. And I think the beauty of Aries is it just slices through these things. There's no shame in indirectly expressing this is who I am, this is what I want. Whereas when that Libran archetype is strong, it's like Oof, this feels uncomfortable. Oh, I'm really going to ruffle feathers. It's aware of what could happen rather than just doing the thing and then seeing what happens. So it's a funny one and I hope we're all feeling a lot more. Yeah. Viscerally connected to our wants, needs, and desires. Something that I spoke about. A little bit in the workshop for this year for 2025 is how this feels to me like a year of direct, clear precision action. And part of that is because we have just been schooled in really articulating ourselves to ourselves more and more, part of why Aries is part of why the archetype of Aries gets what it wants is because it knows what it wants. And that's what we've all, I really think, gathered some ground in. We're more connected to what those things are. And now, the lesson is around moving in those directions, taking action towards those things. Let's look at what the South Node in Virgo and the North Node in Pisces looks like. We'll have our eclipses here over the next 18 months. So anytime we're in Pisces season it will be Pisces season, Virgo season, and then Pisces season 2026. That's when we'll have these six eclipses. And the south node, the, let's say the release valve, the evolutionary impetus is taking place in the archetype of Virgo, which I'm personally deeply excited about. I have a Virgo moon, so I'm really excited. I'm already feeling this one. I've been feeling this one for a little while and what it could mean and how it can be expressed. I think it's brilliant that as a collective we, that part of the curriculum or part of what may be coming up into our consciousness as a group and as individuals is how we utilize This archetype and moving away from what I see as a real catch 22 with this archetype, which I'm going to try and decode some of that for you. Now, part of what I think we're going to release is time pressure. This ridiculous. This level of self expectation and time pressure, like all of our dreams are in this vice and we're just squeezing all of the juice out of it and all of the fun out of it because we've set this level of expectation where it's if it's not done last week and it's not effing perfect. At first go, then, ugh, either I can't do this or I'm going to do this, but I'm going to be annoyed at myself the whole time. That inner critic is going to be dialed up to 11 the whole time that I'm trying to do this thing. And it's just not fun. It's not enjoyable. Why would my dreams and the actualization of my dreams be an enjoyable experience? Why do I have so much to do? Part of what it's releasing, I think, as well. is busyness. The beauty, there's a lot of beauty to Virgo. And part of that is it's an archetype that has come here to actualize our dreams, our desires, our, let's say purpose energy in this lifetime and where it can really catch itself is by being so busy and so stressy that it doesn't get anything done. it's an archetype that's aware of the purification of systems, the refinement in how we do things. And it can also pack its schedule out so deeply that you don't get a goddamn thing done. It's analysis paralysis, it's perfectionism, and it's just this hectic self critique. I was watching something yesterday about this film that's coming out called substance. With Demi Moore, and it really interested me because it felt like it was deeply related to this South Nerd in Virgo. There's this scene where she's just, she's put on her makeup to go out and then she's just like destroying her face in the mirror. In the way that she's seeing herself and looking at herself, it's just filled with disdain. And it's this energy of I can't even go out into the world because I look like this and I'm disgusted. It's like a real, yeah, uncomfortable expression of Virgo where it's I can have fun when I'm perfect. I can buy myself the dress when I've lost all the weight and I'm my perfect form. I can't have love until I am completely, exquisitely, perfectly beautiful. I can't rest until everything on my to do list is done. And that just happens to go on for weeks. It's like, when I read for parents whose children have a lot of Virgo and a lot of Capricorn, one of the things that I recommend is that you establish rest as a family value. It could be like, Sunday. morning or all of Sunday or Sunday afternoon, you come together as a family and I don't know, you watch a movie together or you rest together. It's, this is something that we just need to understand the importance of and how, if you are refining your schedule and your habits and the rituals that you put into your daily and weekly life, then you should be able to. afford white space and rest time and creative downtime in that schedule. And that's something, that's part of how I'm already playing with this myself personally, because I can really get so busy that it exhausts me and then I'm not productive at all. And it's this weird. Self fulfilling prophecy that keeps going on and on. And one of the podcasts that I listen to all of the time is by Clara McKay. Business for aligned women. It's fab. And something that Clara has been speaking about on this podcast for so long. And I've been taking in this information, like I feel like all year where she talks about having a schedule where you don't just in your business, I'm talking here now, but it could be for anything, right? You have weekly tasks, but then there's fortnightly tasks and there's monthly tasks. Like with this podcast, for example, yes, there's an element where I like to be fresh in the energy of the thing, but also I could create four of these over one or two days, and then I could just release them and automate them over the next month. Whereas my schedule now is I do the tasks that I have to do in my business. It's in real time every week. And it's actually just not very effective. And I could schedule and build into my schedule so much more creative time and relaxation time if I attuned my schedule in a way that was really strategic and clever. So literally after listening to her talk about this for like at least a year, I feel, I've I have just started to implement that, which is funny, but it just, I'm just so aware for myself personally that I do need a lot of downtime and I have a lot of stress in my body. I can very easily move into fight or flight. I just stress isn't really my friend and not the type of stress that I'm thinking about anyway. And For me personally, I also think that part of with the South Node here in Virgo, what we're going to have the opportunity to release is a lot of this stress and body tension. And some of this stress and body tension and holding on tightly could be so ancient, like decades and decades old. Part of what I would invite For any of you who resonate with that is certainly body work, it could be massage or acupuncture or regular hot baths with bicarb soda and Epsom salts, whatever it is. And then that also brings us to the north node here in Pisces, which is the medicine. And this may sound abstract or esoteric to some of you, but To me, it's like the more you can put into your, or create a ritual or a habit, daily or weekly, around feeling held by the cosmos, the better. Now, a practical expression of that for me personally, is lying in a hammock. When I'm lying in a hammock I'm like cocooned by something, I'm in a little cocoon, and I'm suspended in air, deeply held by something, and that is the most relaxed my body ever feels, like it's just the effect of that on me, and my nervous system is amazing, and that's what I mean, it's like it could be as literal as that, or whatever it is, where it's like you feel held in a hammock. in the embryonic fluid of the cosmos, which is Pisces, the more you can have those experiences where you're essentially touching infinity or sensing the infinity within you, around you, life, the better. Part of what this nodal axis is also looking at is how am I actualizing my dreams and my visions? And. the world that I desire to create for myself and spread out and out within my family or whatever it is. Pisces is the Imaginarium. It's where we receive our visions. It is our connectivity to everything beyond time and space that enters through the imaginal, through dreams, daydreams, feelings, very heightened feelings like chills. Spidey senses at the back of your head, it's to me Pisces can really be when it's operating beautifully. It is creativity and it is mysticism. And Virgo is grounded discernment. It's energetic hygiene. It's building this foundation that allows you to feel grounded and safe in your body and habits and it's this energy that works to actualize those visions into reality. One of the ways that I think about Virgo energy when it's working beautifully, it's like craft energy. It's like when I lived in India, I had a music teacher who was a legend and he came to my rooms three times a week and I was learning Raga. on the harmonium and with my voice and some other stuff. And he thought it was so funny that when I told him that I know lots of people who play music and I've played in bands and he was just saying that the system that he comes from, a master is somebody who's been working at their craft for 40 years. That's when you enter a stage of mastery. And it's just such a difference culturally because, when you think about a lot of the greats in raga, at least in classical raga in modern times, all of the musicians that I listened to from that canon are in their sixties onwards. Whereas here in the West, the focus It's just, I don't know, kids, it's teenagers and people in their twenties and thirties and onwards. It's there's such a youth focus. It just, there's that Keith Richards quote, you can play two chords and you can join a band kind of thing. And to me, Virgo is more of this mastery energy that happens when you're working towards and working on your gifts and your abilities and your talents. Very regularly, over time, there's this falsehood that with Virgo, or this desire to be perfect from the beginning, because there's such a strong sense of expectation and awareness of what is good in whatever the field is that you're interested in. Virgo is innately aware of okay, what is the best of this? And if you begin the thing, and you're naturally not genius at it from the beginning, then Virgo, which is this energy of Yeah, I guess like in this perfectionistic sense, but not perfectionism, it's like actualizing to the best of your abilities But it's like that Virgo energy almost feels greatly uncomfortable in seeing yourself try something and not be good at it yet. It's it's almost like dirty and the threshold is going okay, yeah, of course here's the goal. Here's what I'm moving towards. Here's what I know is brilliant for myself or in this field. And I'm going to, I'm going to have to hang out with myself as I move towards that, and rather have, rather than having disdain, it's how can I hold myself through that uncomfortability and allow myself to see that I am moving forward rather than getting caught in the, I don't know, self embarrassment of not being a genius yet and then foregoing the whole thing, never trying to actualize. Part of what I've been saying to clients with regards to this energy, it's like when you think about yourself what are the dreams and the desires that I've deeply come here to actualize. And then it's how am I working towards those things? And then, like I said, with the, part of the energy of 2025 is move towards the thing, experiment, take the action. Don't allow yourself to trip yourself up because you don't want people to see you trying. Or you don't want to see yourself trying, versus just appearing out of the ethers fully formed. In genius mode, it's not actually a reality and it's not meant to be a reality here. Part of the curriculum here is time and space and being mortal, and trying again. So what I highly recommend with Virgo, and I'll definitely have so much to say on this nodal axis over the next 18 months, especially as we start to experience it and see what comes up, but Part of what I would say is To take notice of anywhere where you're essentially getting in your own way. And that may be through how you're scheduling your life. It may be how you're communicating to yourself. It may be the strict, intense standards and expectations that you're holding yourself to. I think one of the themes of this Nodal Access is where we'll really be Quite conscious of whose expectations am I living to, whose standards am I living to, are they my own, are they cultural, familial, whatever it is, and even just back to that movie I was telling you about substance, this idea of just in terms of beauty it's like, Where is my sense of, or if there is a sense of I'm not good enough as I am, I need to look like x, y, z to be of value, or I need to achieve x, y, z in order to be of value. Really allow yourself to analyze that, the final thing I want to say is Mars will move retrograde back into cancer on the 7th of January, and then it's going to move backwards until the 24th of February. Part of that is to really notice on this more emotional, energetic level, What is driving me? How am I, how are my desires nourishing me? How am I nourishing my desires? That's part of it. But just really take notice of what's happening on this more emotional level. Level one of astrology school will start on the weekend of the spring equinox, or autumn equinox, depending where you are in the world, which is on the 22nd and 23rd of March level one is where you learn the language of astrology and you really get to deep dive into embodying your chart. The first half is in a way theoretical. And then the second half is very experiential, but I would say the homework for the first part as well is experiential. Cause you're looking at how. Everything that you're learning relates to you and your natal chart. And then in the second half, we really take a journey through particular aspects of your natal chart, because as I'll always say, your natal chart is a living map. It shows your nature. It shows your nurture. It really speaks to your own mythos and storyline. And It's a map back to yourself. It really shows us your hero's journey or heroine's journey thus far. And in more of a grander archetypal sense, and these are the themes that we explore in astrology school. I'm just extending it at the moment and I'm making something really tangible and beautiful, that's going to go with it. I'm going to drop the waitlist link before so you can read about it. Doors will open. Early Feb, and as soon as people join, they get a huge library of workshops and classes that they can maneuver through and hang out in before we start classes in late March. This is the fourth year that I've run it, which is wild. I've had over a hundred people come through astrology school, and, yeah, it's a real Pleasure. Okay. Hope you have a nice week and speak to you soon.
