Hi, happy Monday. Today, I want to spend some time looking at this full moon in Leo that we have coming up in a couple of days. It's a strong one. And I think this axis, this opposition of Aquarius and Leo is very strong. In general, I think it's strong within the collective. It's this axis between one way we could explain it is this. Opposition between the collective or the group mind and then the individual and the expression, the personality of the individual. Which has really been, I think, under the pump in at least Western culture for the last several years. So we'll look at that. I also want to touch on Venus, who is now in Aries because we have this Valentine's Day happening on Friday, Venus Day. To illustrate part of the flavors of this full moon in Leo, remembering that the full moon. we see the spotlight of consciousness on the unconscious expressions that the moon sign is in. So here in Leo, and to illustrate this, enrollments for astrology school are open and I've been launching that to the wait list for the last week, And I posted something on Instagram yesterday because now it's open to everyone. And will be for the next, I don't know, month, five weeks before enrollment closes. And it was just so interesting to see my, to monitor how I was feeling. about the thoughts that I was having about posting on Instagram. I wanted to share because I feel this level of exposure that I don't when I'm writing an email to a group of people who have opted in to hear about the thing that I'm selling. and so there's an aspect of me which is really conscious of like, Oh, what will those What will this particular group of people think? What will all the blokes who follow me from when I was a musician think? What will blah, blah, blah think of me doing this? Or are there, what are the judgments that people could have? And you know, it obviously doesn't stop me from posting. It may or may not be true. I'm sure most people don't even notice. Which is the reality. But in terms of my own mind, it's just, it's present. It's like this exposure of having more people with eyes or the access of more eyes on what you're doing feels to me. Yeah. Nerve wracking, uh, or not nerve wracking. That's, that's a real exaggeration, but a bit more tender, a bit more, I don't know, I don't know. You know, I used to play in bands for a long time and I like controlled spotlight. Let's say like that. Yeah, I probably just like control to be honest. I do have this. I think I do have this aspect of my personality that likes to control how it's being perceived, which obviously is not possible. so anyway, part of the joy of running a business as Clara McKay says and Peter Sarris says, you know, it's like it's not a hobby, and you can't run your business like it's a hobby. So in order to sell things that you dig, You have to make people aware of them, which is so obvious. But when you work for yourself, uh, uh, it can, I don't know, you can just run a bunch of thought loops through your mind that may or may not be true. And, you know, here we could say, The work that I'm doing is part of my own self expression. It's things that I have created. The astrology school is something that I've created, which is Leo, right? And then what I'm kind of nervy about is how I'm being perceived by the collective, my audience, uh, the thoughts, the judgments of others. With this moon, it's great because, well, firstly, the Sun and Mercury will both be conjunct each other. They'll be hanging out side by side, or fused together, in Aquarius for this full moon. And the moon will be exactly opposite at 24 degrees of Leo. Part of what we're able to access or part of what may be more obvious is where we are desiring attention. Part of what we could certainly look at as individuals, you know, if this is an energy that's present for you this week is How am I nurturing my own personality? How am I nurturing my own self expression? How am I nurturing my own creativity? If these are things that call out to you, I mean, the emotional health this week is tethered to Well, Leo is like our vitality that comes through the expression of who we are. They're linked together. Whereas in the shadow qualities of Aquarius, we can adhere to the structures of group mind. And Leo can also do this because Leo has this dual desire to be exactly who it is, and at the same time it's wildly aware of how it's being received. And developmentally this is an archetype that can, um, bring forward the things that are, that kind of get the applause or the positive approval of the people around them. And then they can put to the background, the rest of their personality. And so with this moon, it's looking at, well, how am I nurturing my own desires around my creativity? Again, I think Having the South Node in Virgo will really aid those of us who do have these new projects or these creative projects that we are wanting to bring to life this year. As I said a couple of episodes ago, we're really able to see our schedule. We're able to see what we're putting our energy towards and how it is or isn't feeding us. How it is or isn't, um, the only phrase I can think of is like moving the needle towards these things that we're wanting to birth into reality this year or this year and next. So with the moon here, if there's anywhere where you're not, let's say, feeding your own desires, you may feel that. There may be this increase in fiery emotion, because this is a fire, full moon, a fire moon needs to express itself through the body. You know, this is the perfect full moon to go out dancing. Or this is the perfect full moon to be dancing, whether you're out or in your house, in your bedroom. It's, it's irrelevant, but expression is key here. you know, it's like how can you, in that artist's way sense, you Julia Cameron's book, you know, can you take yourself on an artist state? Are there things that you need to express that are living in your body that need to be spoken or written or moved out? And this is just such a great week for that. My soundtrack to my Full Moon and Leo post last year. Was I want to be adored by the stone roses and this is really a good soundtrack to this full moon. Where can you be nurturing again, your own creative fires or this desire to be, I don't know, adored for who you are in relationship or the things that you do, the things that you offer out into the world. Part of this access is really. Making this offering, you know, in Aquarius, we can really live in our head or not even in our head, you know, above our head, up in these like mental planes and Leo is where we move into our heart. It is our heart's desires. It is this desire. I think creation energy is heart based. It's not the mind. It's not living on a mental plane. We need this fire, this, propulsion energy to, to move things into reality. So one of the things that you could really be contemplating this week is what are my heart's desires? How much energy and action energy am I putting towards bringing my heart's desires into reality. Again, I really think this ties into, I would say the overall narrative of this first few months of astrology this year, because to me, that's really tethered to Mars retrograde, especially when it was in Leo, you know, What action am I taking that makes me feel alive? You know, how am I feeding my own vitality? What are my wants, needs, and desires and how are they related to my vitality, to like my heart's desires? And now as it's retrograding in cancer, we're getting into these deeper, primal, emotional waters. How am I nurturing my own desires? So to me, that feels like there's a link. And similarly, it will be a theme as Venus moves closer to being at a square with this Mars retrograde later this month, which I think will be very interesting because Venus in Aries, she knows what she wants. She knows what she needs. She knows what she desires and she takes clear and precise action towards those things. No second guessing, sometimes to a fault, but that's part of the magic of this energy. It's like, I see what I want, I move my body towards it. Whereas this percolating Mars in cancer, in a retrograde fashion at least, can Get confused between what are my needs and what's needed in my environment. So I think this Venus, Venus and Aries is, is fab. I think it's going to be a great time for all of us. And I'm very, very excited about this Venus retrograde, which doesn't start, until the 2nd of March, but really take notice of Again, it's the same theme, right? Really take notice of what are my wants, what are my needs, what are my desires. We're really having a strong opportunity over these first three months of the year to look at them, to sense them, to feel them from a range of different perspectives and archetypes. Uh, and I think it's for a reason. You know, I think something that I'll probably say a lot this year is this is a year of action. This is a year of experimentation and it feels like we're moving towards precise action, like precision moves rather than lots of filler, lots of fluff, lots of procrastination moves. Again, and that's part of, I think, the excellence of the aspect to the south node moving through Virgo for the next 18 months. We're really, really aware of where we're spending so much energy being busy, but not actually being productive. The full moon will be exact Sydney time, Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time at 12 53 a. m. on Thursday. the 13th of February. So we'll really be feeling this on Wednesday and Wednesday evening. We'll really see it very full in the sky. and then we'll be in this space for three and a half days. So it's a theme for the second part of this week. How am I tending to my inner fire? How am I nurturing my own desire to feel singular and let's say special and unique? This isn't, you know, I listened to a lot of Jillian Tarecki who's podcast is Jillian on love. And she speaks very directly and plainly in an excellent way about how. At least in relationship and outside of it, we need to be aware of what our own needs are. And for the most part, we need to be tending to them ourselves. You know, if we're projecting or if we're disappointed that a partner or even a friend or a relative isn't meeting our undisclosed needs when we're not even putting any energy towards that need ourselves, then it's a little bit. Silly. It's a little bit childish. and I think for the most part, it's probably quite unconscious. Where, if anywhere, are you not taking up your own space for fear of being seen or being judged, especially by group mind. A lot of this energy springs from our first collective that we were born into, which is our family and our extended family and their undisclosed or sometimes totally disclosed culture of like the family culture. This is the behavior we like. This isn't the behavior we like. If, if you ever had that experience, which is very Leo of being told you are too loud, too much, too big, whatever it is, then this is an energy that, or this is a moon that could be very healing for you. How are you tending to, the things that make you feel alive. It might be a great time to write out a list of what are the things that I can do, or that I do, that make me feel really alive. Know, for me it would be going to a specific art gallery, uh, or going to see music. I mean there's a whole range of things. But it might just be a great time to bring consciousness, especially because Mercury is opposite the Moon, and put pen to paper, or have a conversation. with one of your mates, about this, what are the things that really bring you alive? And then in a very Leo Moon way, what are your biggest dreams and desires for this lifetime? Are you allowing yourself to be as big as you are? And what does that look like? What does it look like if you're taking up The fullness of your own space, what does that feel like? what are you doing when you're fully inhabiting yourself? Again, it just feels like a really good week. It's fiery, but I like that. And, you know, because we're also in Aquarian season, it's this cool combo of air and fire. That's passionate. Those guys get along so well together. They have a lot to say. They feed each other. It's really fun. Beautifully and it's quick. It's fast energy. This isn't holding a grudge for 25 years. This is just moving through things at pace, you know? and again, it's like, that's kind of, that's part of the pace of this year, which I personally really dig. Somebody who's mostly air, you know, it's, we're making the moves, we're doing the things, we're getting the insights, we're taking the action, we're moving on to the next thing. We're not. wallowing, we're not festering, none of that boring stuff. And yeah, I like that this Valentine's Day, not that it's something that I've ever, ever celebrated, but I, I really like that it's falling on Friday, which is Venus Day, and I love that Venus now is, and for the coming month plus, is in Aries, where we really get to, yeah, become aware of, and I think this will be a theme of the Venus Retrograde, what is the standard that I'm holding myself to, and then monitoring how that is. What ripples out or has the capacity to ripple out and be reflected in how people treat us or value us as well. So what is the standard that you're holding yourself to? What is the behavior that you allow from yourself? And then what do you accept or not allow in terms of how people treat you? What I would say is for those of you who are highly sensitive and learn to read and adapt to the room first. This is a great time for us because a lot of the time we don't even have the awareness that we can have our own wants and needs and desires. A lot of the time we just don't even have that awareness. We have to actively consciously learn that. And so we're in this fiery week and certainly with Venus in Aries, we're in a fiery kind of month at least in terms of our worth and our value. Hey, how am I treating myself? What do I like? Am I holding myself to a beautiful standard here in terms of how I treat myself? What do I even allow myself to imbibe information wise, food wise, friend wise, vibe wise, whatever it is? What's the standard that I'm holding myself to? And not in a critical way or a negative way in a beautiful, tender, I love the shit out of you kind of way. To me, Venus in Aries, she's both regal and a warrior. She will defend her territory. So to speak, uh, she will defend her boundaries is another way of saying that. And, yeah, she holds herself with very, very good posture, uh, you know, figuratively and literally. That's how I would explain her, at least, as my opening statements on Venus in Aries. I'll have a lot more to say about that as we venture into this retrograde. Which starts again on the 2nd of March. But yeah, just really take notice this week. What am I desiring? How am I attending to that? What are these big dreams? Am I fueling them? Am I expecting somebody else to fuel them for me? Am I waiting to be discovered? Or am I putting the energy towards this myself? You know, You may have a sense of destiny, but it's not like people are going to just tap you on the shoulder and go, hey, I know you have a sense of destiny. Let me actualize that for you. It just doesn't happen that way. Two things I want to say. The first is, I've been percolating on an idea of something to offer for this first round of eclipses. I stayed up late last night making it in a visual sense, which is usually how I start with my ideas. I'm just percolating on how can I offer this. so I'll, I'll have more info about that probably. during the week or next week and then With astrology school, it's open for enrollment We've already got a lot of legends in there, which is so fabulous and I think if you are somebody who is wanting to learn astrology I Personally believe that it is one of these things that you need to learn to be successful formally or with a teacher. You know, it's like, yes, you may have an app. Yes, you may have read an astrology book, but an astrologer that does not make you, um, you know, you may be able to speak astrology with your mates. You may have this interest in it, but you know, when I had, when I got into it, and I had my first reading. I immediately was like, I need to learn this. I want to understand this. I want to be able to decode this chart and understand how this astrologer has just nailed my personality so beautifully, articulated my essence, so to speak. and so I very quickly found a teacher and but my sense of what astrology was on the outset and then what I knew of it. Having gone through the learning process was just so vastly different. And we don't know what we don't know, right? You know, sometimes I get worried when I see some acquaintances who are reading for people as part of their work, and I know that they're not astrologers. It's like, it's very easy to Yeah, it's just so easy to go off. track. I mean, you wouldn't even know if you were on track or not. So there's multiple ways you can learn. I guess you could do self study. Um, you could read all the books in the world and, but it's not the same. You are learning a language. It is a symbolic language. So if you're doing a self study course, how do you even know if you've gone off track? who can you ask your thousand questions to? You really need to be able to bounce off of somebody. And so, in astrology school level one is something that I designed for people. The way I would have loved to have learnt it. From my vantage point now, thirteen years down the track, having read for well over a thousand charts, And it's through learning your chart. It's through having all of these examples, everyone who's in class, you'll see me reading and making notes of their chart as it relates to, the themes of the week or the module that we're in. You'll get so much feedback on your own chart and you'll get to see firsthand. how different people are experiencing different placements and archetypes and houses in their chart, uh, in their life. so it's really, it's theory, but it's very experiential, you know, it's like, that's cool that you know about astrology, but how do you embody it? How does it play out in your life? How can you practically utilize it? So this is what astrology school is all about. The link is below if you want to check that out and classes start on their equinox on the 22nd and 23rd. Hope you all have a beautiful week and I'll see you next. Bye.
