THREE GRACES & THREE FURIES - LIBRA SEASON

We enter Libra season with the equinox on Tuesday - a day of balance. This makes me think of the balance between the three graces and three furies, the need for a productive release of fury to ever truly be graceful and not simply 'nice' but full of inner seething. Im sure you all know the type.

Hi, how are you? I'm well, thanks. Uh, it's such a beautiful Sunday. I've just finished up some work level two of astrology school has started this weekend and we had a class last night and and another class this morning just for all of the time zones, all the legends in all the time zones. Uh, and it's so fun to dive back into astrology land and teaching. Uh, it's just the best fun. What else? Oh, I've had a lot of writing. I have two writing projects. I finished one and then I'm still in research mode for another one, which is looking at, which has me researching the astrology of next year. And that's taking up a lot of my, uh, time right now. But in a, in a good way, in a great way, honestly, like to get paid to ride is the dream. So I'm always relishing it when it appears. Uh, I wanted to speak about. The solar eclipse, which is tomorrow just a little bit. I feel like we've been talking about them for weeks and understandably they're huge. Uh, astrological happenings. And then I want to begin or open up the discussion into Libra, because we get to enter Libra season on Tuesday. So tomorrow, Monday, the 22nd of September. Here in Australia, we have the solar eclipse, partial solar eclipse, and new moon in Virgo. Second new moon of the month, final day of Virgo. And then the following day we have the Equinox. So throughout the day we will switch from on Tuesday, sorry, we'll switch from 29 degrees. Of Virgo into zero degrees of Libra, and it's that zero degrees of Libra. That is what Harold's fourth, the Equinox, and I love this one for so many reasons, A, because it's the official beginning of spring. It's the beginning of a cardinal season. Libra is a cardinal sign. The cardinal signs begin the seasons, the four seasons. So there's, there's so much new energy that's coming through. Uh, I don't know that, I mean, there's such energizing months. Sorry. When I say month, I basically mean an astrology season. I just call them mums. Now I'm overtaking that word and making it my own. Uh, so yeah, wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. So yeah, I love it because Libra is a lot to do with equilibrium. Harmony, justice, equality equals and, and so it just always makes sense to me that this day begins with the harmony of. Light and dark day and night in absolute equal measure. But let's go back to tomorrow. What I wanted to say about this is I've just been, I just put up a voice note in the put for level two, and I was just reflecting on the first new moon that we had on the first day of Virgo and now tomorrow. The second New moon in Virgo and noticing my own, uh, action taking during this time. For a few of those weeks or a couple of those weeks, there was a sense of that Virgo overwhelm, like there's so much to do, not enough time seemingly. Uh, and how can I refine my schedule? How can I refine and be even more intentional in how I use these concise pockets of time that I have to work or that I have to rest or be in cre creativity? Um, and happy to say that I have, uh. Done those things, you know, it would be kind of a poor job as an astrologer to have the intel and not utilize it. I think so. I have actualized a lot of, or noticed and then acted on a lot of the things that were playing out, like little catch 20 twos or wastes of time. Uh, and as an example, just this weekend, I. Rather than waking up early as I always do, and then being like, oh, I really wanna read my book. Ah, but this is the time that I should work out. Ah, it's mornings that I need to relax. Oh, it's mornings that I need to work out. I just got up and did the things and out both mornings because I, I want to, like, I'm really feeling so much more of my own vitality. Uh, and have felt amazing having those extra levels of serotonin caused through my body today and yesterday. Uh, but that's just a really small example. Virgos. Yeah. On one hand there's the ideas and the contemplation of how can I do this better? But most of the juice lies in the doing of the thing. Um. What else? I've got a whole other bag of things to donate tomorrow, and I wanted to say like, if, if similarly you've been doing some kind of spring or autumn or Virgo cleaning, uh, I highly recommend that if you have any bags that you're wanting to take or you've, you've been looking at things that have been trying to get your attention and they're saying to you like. Please donate me. Please sell me. Please shift me out of your space. We wanna be doing those things and certainly we want to, tomorrow's like a culmination point. We wanna be doing them by tomorrow. Um, if you do it the day after, don't worry. You're not gonna get in trouble. But, you know, this is the second new moon that again, we're, we're anchoring in. Uh, more mature applications of this archetype because we've had a brilliant opportunity in this Virgo season to look at anywhere that that immature, unconscious south node expression of Virgo may be playing out in our lives now. Come Libra season, come Scorpio season, which are a lot to do with relationship intimacy, us amongst others, us in relationship. Um, I will absolutely be looking at my own relational patterning. What I do I want to call something in, what does that look like? How do I need to show up for that? I wrote out a list of those things this morning in my diary. Based off of an annoying dream that I woke up to, but that's how I'm going to, that's partly how I'm gonna be using Libra and Scorpio season. Um, and I'll, I'll, I'll certainly speak to that in the coming months. So one of the things I just wanted to point your attention to with this new moon tomorrow is that Saturn will be in Pisces. Opposite, uh, the sun and the moon and the south node, and it will be conjunct, the north node. So similar to what I was just saying with the Virgo energy, Saturn is allowing us to anchor into time and space more of this north node energy in Pisces, which is everything magical, everything within the imagination. Um, of beauty, you know, good magic. We've seen enough of the opposite version of that. At the same time, Virgo, uh, sorry, Venus, um, has just recently entered Virgo, and she's going to be here in Virgo until the 14th of October and. I just wanted to mention that to all of you because we've just had these big strong, uh, I, I kind of almost wanna say echoes or landing points in Virgo with the eclipses. And now Venus is here, and Venus in Virgo is, she knows exactly what she wants. She has a lot of character. Um, she has character, let me say. Um, she's well developed. She will not stoop to, uh, lower levels, and I don't mean that in a hierarchical sense, but she will not bend to, you know, leaky behavior from herself first and foremost. But also in relational senses as well. And I think this is a great thing to carry with us as we journey into Libra season because Libra, where Mars already is in the final degree, mercury has just moved into Libra. The sun is just about to enter here. We have this capacity to. Be adaptive to be for our equilibrium, our inner equilibrium to be based off of what's happening out in our immediate world. I don't mean world events, but I mean, I don't know. Somebody comes home from work and you can tell they're in a bad mood and suddenly it throws off your mood. That's what I'm talking about. And. Venus, the ruler is here in this very grounded, energetically sovereign, energetically hygienic archetype of Virgo for, what is that? The next three weeks plus just over three weeks. So she's this grounding force whilst we maneuver through a lot of. Liberal season, and I think she can be a talisman for a lot of us, depending on who you are. But for myself with a liberal ascendant, I need the medicine of a Venus in Virgo to keep me true, uh, to me, keep me grounded to me, some of the things that I am going to open up. In this conversation just now, but then really dig into in the coming weeks are very liberal things, which is this is a time, this is a time of charm. And being charming and being charmed, Libra. And then we go into Scorpio, which is a time of all out glimmering, uh, the, that is the realm of the mage. Um, so I'm gonna be discussing those things in the coming months. And what's important is, yeah, this is the season of Libra season. On one hand is the season of the flirt and playfulness, and. Good repartee, um, good banter with another. It's the joy of the flirt. Uh, but what we don't want is charm minus character. This is the territory where we also see the danger. In niceness versus goodness, what I would call goodness. Um, I'm sure you've all met or been at certain points. Nice people. When I say nice people, I mean, and you know that feeling like you meet somebody who's so, so nice. But it also feels somewhat shallow. It's like there's a level of reciprocation, or sorry, reciprocity that's, I don't know, you know, when things are, it feels like tic-tac-toe, or it's like you're playing a it, it's like a game. It's a social game versus anything that has meat. Um, or that has legs. I would much rather be a good person than a nice person. I'm sure you know what I mean by that. Um, but if not, I will extrapolate. The other thing that I wanted to just bring up too, uh, is something that I am still hypothesizing on. Which is surely one of the great joys of my life getting to hypothesize. Um, and what I wanted to tell you about is Aphrodite. Who is Venus? Venus is the Roman expression of Aphrodite. Um, Aphrodite, as I think I told you all in Taurus season. Was born from the castration of her father's phallus, which fell into the sea, said to be near Cyprus. So it went from the immortal realm into immortal realm. She sprung out of the ocean, fully formed. What I just found out only a couple of weeks ago, was that before she came. Out of the water. And we had this birth of Venus or this birth of Aphrodite, the three Furies rose from the water first. And this is amazing to me. Uh, let me tell you their names Ames. So they're also associated as possibly being the three, three of the children of Hades. Which is related to Pluto, God of the underworld. This also makes sense. But to me, this is incredible intel for Venus. Two because Venus, well, Aphrodite is often surrounded by the three graces. If you've ever seen Botticelli's Birth of Venus, you'll see the three graces, um, in a circle with one another. And they are these goddesses. They're also known as the charities who are deeply related to like charm, beauty, grace, and their names. I'm not gonna, don't worry, I'm not gonna say the Greek because it's embarrassing, but their three names translate to splendor, joy, and good cheer. They're often associated with Aphrodite. They're always, they're very, very often hanging out with her or with Venus. Um, they're Roman counterparts. So the three graces we, we all have, or if you have astrological knowledge, we have this sense that, um, Libra is this aite, um, refined mind. She's aware of. The harmony or the disharmony. She's very closely related to justice. Uh, but she brings in this air of gr grace and refinement. She's charming as hell. Um, you know, but the, let's say that underbelly of this, or the fuller picture of this arrives in understanding that the three furies. Had to be birthed first. They, so when I say birth, they had to consciously arise in order for beauty and grace and refinement to arrive. Like we had to wade into the underbelly, the depths, the shadowy stuff in order to touch upon and hold and anchor in more of the beauty. Uh, that's my running hypothesis. So the three Furies one is. Referred to as Unceasing anger. All three of them are related to morality and like punishing their punishes. It's like they, they don't just hand down the sentence, they physically give you the sentence. So elect is unceasing anger. Ra, probably not. How you say it is related to jealousy. Um, punishes crimes of infidelity, which is so interesting for Libra. Um, and I'm certainly not saying that everyone with strong Libra placements does this. But, um, strong liberal placements raising my hand here as a liberal ascendant. The, the charm, the this energy can be in love with love. It can be highly avoidant, but in love with the thrill of love, in love with the feelings of love, with being in desire and being desired. But it's not necessarily the one that's like, Hey. Hey, babe, I can't wait to be with you in 20 years time. And I'm not saying that that's not possible for Libra, so not not at all. But I'm just saying there is this level of like, uh, player. Um, so that's interesting that there's, there's the, there's a, a goddess of fury related to jealousy and infidelity, which is such a strong part of. Especially the Greek Pantheon. Um, and then the, the final one, Tisone, is the avenger, um, and is related to avenging crimes of murder. So, yeah, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. I'm certainly gonna be thinking about it and writing about it and working to make sense of this more. But my opening hypothesis is that for all of us, in order for us to be in the safety of our beauty, our egalitarian ness, our sense of equality. I don't know. It's like we, without going into the depths of being, without fully knowing ourselves, we could just, I think Maryanne Faithful has a song with this title. We could just slide by on our charm. But what we want is character. With beautiful floaty overlays of charm, and it's like, I don't know. I feel like these, these three furies are tethered to character and the meat of life. Yeah, that's, that's all I have so far. We will see how it plays.
