Hi, how are you? We have a really beautiful new moon on Tuesday this week, and I wanna talk about it. Also, have a suggestion on how to really envelop yourself in the, these higher mature, uh, conscious expressions of liberal and energy while we're in this new moon phase. Uh, and I'm also going to answer some of your questions, uh, that I put up, uh, during the week about love. I actually put them up. I, I asked for your questions before I recorded the episode, and then I just dived in and recorded it because I was feeling it. Uh, and yeah, I want to answer some of the questions'cause there were some really great ones. So the new moon, the sun and the moon will be conjunct each other in Libra. Venus is also here, but she's not in a conjunction with these type two guys. She's just moved into this space and we still have Mars and Mercury conjunct each other lined up together in the sky there in Scorpio, which certainly adds depth. To the liberalness, like, it, it, it goes deep. Uh, but I wanna speak about this energy, you know? Yes. It's so much to do with relationship, relational dynamics, imbalances and harmony. Anywhere where we adapt outside of ourselves or perform. Or even take on the, the trait of being very easygoing to bring a, a level of glue and socially, or to just make that whole social experience glide rather than being truncated and awkward and having any form of discomfort or. Disharmony or confrontation, liberal energy would much refer, prefer to be in a harmonious state. And so there's all of that, and I feel like I've spoken about that a lot. It's certainly something that I find extremely interesting, uh, as a human, as an individual, and then as a member of, uh, the. Earthly collective at this time of great imbalance. Um, and I guess, you know, this is a sign that's Jewel. Same with Gemini. Uh, so you know, I'm a Gemini son, a liberal ascendant. There's so many in an astrological sense. There's so much duality there. You know, there's so many different aspects of one's personality just in those two combos, so I understand duality well, and I can hold it well, and I guess what I want to say is when we need more beauty, we need so much more beauty in. The human world, the natural world is obscenely. So, and there is so much great beauty in the human world. Libra is, to me, it's, it's everything highbrow about, about the arts. It is the arts and it's, you know, I, when I was. Doing my degree in art history in, well, it was art theory. Um, at art school. I had one teacher who was a linguist. He had like multiple degrees and was like wildly learned and he made this joke about rock and roll and just how. Essentially lowbrow it is. And how something like opera or classical music is just heads and tails above, you know, almost like energetically, he didn't say energetically, but as an experience there, they're, they couldn't be further apart. And, and I, and I get that there's something very primal about electric guitars and drums that. I'm a total stand for. And at the same time, you know, especially when I lived in, um, I grew up with a lot of different, like, I guess you'd say world music, which I'm really thankful for. And, and I've always had a great love of, uh, Indian classical, uh, Arabic classical, um, music. And when I was living in India and studying there, part of the stories of the Vaders was that the, the music, the this, the classical Indian music that we have now didn't even touch the sides of the substantial powerful. Musical landscape that the artists were able to create in these past, let's say heydays or epoch of human civilization. And it was music that was able to, or sound that was able to, uh, make their flying machines fly. And if you've ever studied parts of the Vda Vaders, you'll know what I'm talking about. Otherwise, it just sounds like a, um, I'm being very esoteric. But what I wanna say, I guess, is that while there is so much imbalance and heaviness and intensity and wrongness and wild power plays. Uh, and really they're not even covert, just straight out attempts at making people feel small and helpless and quote unquote in their place. Beauty is the type of rebellion that I'm deeply interested in. I'm not particularly interested in meeting fire with fire. What I'm interested in is elevating the whole thing with beauty. Um, you know, we do live in this. I've just been looking at all of these images of dancers and just the fact that we have. Dancers, the fact that we have musicians, the fact that since we landed here, we have been adorning ourselves, utilizing the natural world to make beauty, to make sounds, to wear beauty, to tie our hair up in particular ways, to put different herbs or smudges on our face to accentuate the self. Uh, this is such a natural part of human in my mind. I like to think that it's a lot more natural of a part of being human than something like war is, and I could be deluded, but engaging with the aspect of ourselves that. Gets high from beauty is incredible. It, it, I, I want to say armor, but it's not a armor, it's not a defense. It's, it's like beauty as the offense. Um, I'm trying to walk this line, like I don't want to be, uh, disrespectful or minimize the intensities of the time. I really don't. I guess I'm, what I'm, what my intention is, is to. Also bring beauty into our gaze and to bring our capacity to elevate the human spirit, uh, through our very natural aspect that we all inhabit of the creator of the artist of one who really enjoys. And feels a great sense of inner harmony when in beautiful surrounds or when listening to things that feel divine and celestial because they're so like sonically elevated. Something about Libra is it's this. Relationship to the artist, but then it makes it in a way intellectual, like I said before, highbrow. And I think liberal energy can have that capacity to be the observer. Like it's observing the beauty and it's taking in the beauty, but through the intellect and the. Higher expressions of that sign, let's say, are when we engage in beauty ourselves rather than thinking that it's something that we have to be passive participants in. What I would highly recommend that you do for this new Moon. Is to fill a page of your curation. What is your version of high beauty, of transcendent beauty? Of mundane beauty? What is the type of beauty that you can bring into your household into. So it's, it's reflected as you walk through your space. It's something that you're engaging with visually or orally, and what are the most beautiful experiences that you've ever had in your life, and you might want to divide these between experiences with the natural world and then experiences with the incredible artfulness and creativity. Of human beings. And I mean, it should go under the banner of the natural world too. We are part of the natural world. It's so easy to forget that. But we are earthlings, like for me, and look, I'm a, I am a snob. I'm not going to pretend that I'm not, because that's a part of me and sure, it's probably. A little bit immature, uh, but I, I have to own it. It is, it is true. Um, for me, it's like I want to go to, I want to have cultural experiences, but really I'm only interested in those cultural experiences if they're at the Sydney Opera House or at my favorite galleries. You know, I think the days of me. Standing in beer, soaked carpet, um, you know, surrounded by drunk kids. Um, those days are far behind me. Uh, and when I'm in a space like the Opera House or my favorite art gallery, it is their serene environments. Serene. Serenity, that's li frequency. Like it's, you know, I've spoken a lot before about how part of the journey of being a LI is to find inner equilibrium because it's so easy for li and energy to have its equilibrium. Uh, you know, it's like one end of the seesaw is inside the self and the other one is pointed outwards. And it's like, who, whoever we're in relationship to, whoever's in our house, whatever we're engaging with on our phone can throw off that equilibrium and that is powerlessness. That's a lack of self-responsibility and agency. Um, and it's also the natural initiation of liberal energy to have those experiences. Again, we're not living in a reality where we immediately start. In the highest expression of everything, in the most mature expression of everything. The codex of being an earthling is, there's time and there's space and there's a lot of learning that takes place. It's a, it's, this is an experiential playing field. Um, and, and that's really normal, so. If you are a liberal or you have strong liberal placements, you all have this in your chart. So this is all a, this is a part of all of us and we all have the seventh house in our chart, which is the other part of the liberalness us amongst other people. We've all been socialized. That process of being socialized has a lot to do with LI and energy. We may naturally be less confrontational and more agreeable than other people, and that's also okay. And it's not about becoming disagreeable or becoming confrontational, liberal man. Magic happens when we access more. Of our wants, our needs, and our desires, and we build that inner equilibrium. We stockpile that through our own relationship to things that bring us beauty and harmony and grace. The experience of grace, the offering of grace, is an incredibly liberal experience as well. Um. Yeah. Two things that have just been popping up in my mind so much over the last week or so. Uh, this flock of migrating geese that I saw when I lived in England. I lived in this incredibly beautiful village. Very, very old village that used to be a weaving. Village like hundreds of years before, and it was just stunning. Outside of my bathroom window, I could see this tall and I was right near the mos and it was just lush. And after growing up in Australia, like so incredibly safe. There's nothing there that can kill you. Um, and so it felt so freeing to be more and more engaged with the natural world there because it was. I don't know. You didn't have to, you didn't have to stamp on the ground to let all the snakes know that you were about to walk by, you know? Um, and there was this gorgeous tree, which I go to a lot in, um, different meditations. And I would, I would go and lie under this tree. Uh, it was right at the top of my village. And it just had this incredible view of these rolling hills. And then the mos. And I spent a lot of time there, and one day I was up there and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of geese migrating. Geese started to flock and land on the surrounding paddocks of where I was lying, and it was breathtaking. They all landed and then they were all in conversation with each other. And I don't know if they were going to be taking up residence in the streams and waterways near where I lived, or if it was a stop, like a designated stop on their very, very long journey from I think, uh, north America. The other incredible thing that I keep seeing in my mind is when I was, uh, at a farm a couple of years ago, this beautiful farm that I used to go to, uh. And I was going for a walk and in a neighboring paddock were all of these horses. It was like six or seven horses, and no one was in the paddock. There was no one there, and they were playing with each other. They were just in this playful spirit, and they started to do these huge, fast, wild laps with each other, just lapping around. Uh, like in this circular, big circular motion, um, it just felt, it felt so youthful and it felt so, like, they were free. They were in a paddock, and it did have a fence, but they were, it was like, they were unbridled. Their energy was unbridled. It was such a clear, um, expression of their energy. Um, and I mean, I've had just so many mu experiences like this with music, uh, in particular, but also, uh, all of it. I, I'm a, I live for this stuff, you know, it's also just the written word. I'm sure you've had so many of these experiences too. And so my astrological prescription for this new moon is. How can you build out that list? Like remind yourself of these incredibly potent experiences that you've had with beauty, with these, these transcendent serene experiences that immediately take us into. This passage, this atmosphere, as Martin Shaw calls it, this atmosphere of beauty. Um, he has an incredible. He's incredible. I'm deeply obsessed with him. I'm sure he gets a lot of, I feel like he gets a lot of marriage proposals just based off of his work. But I don't know if you've ever engaged, hopefully you have had this experience many times, but I want to marry them. You know, it's like, I, it's like how can I be of service, you know? Um, not servitude, but, um. Almost like this honoring of the majesty of a person's brain and point of view and instinct and magicalness, that there's something so elevating about that. To me, that feeds me so much, uh, that gives me so much hope. Um, and all, all of this does all these great moments of beauty that I've had, even just again. Ha. Having just spent the last half hour watching all of these dancers, contemporary, classical, um, seeing them do their thing, like seeing all the manifold ways that humans have express, we've expressed ourselves artfully intentionally, beautifully. Like, this is an, this is a part of our pulse and it's something that's deeply worth swimming in. Um, to touch on Martin Shaw, he's, I just, I couldn't recommend his work more highly. I'm not gonna, I, I am a gatekeeper. Uh, or, uh, I feel like I, I feel like there's things that are so dear to my heart. That I just don't wanna see them bastardize in the collective, you know, where it's like the amazing phrases, the amazing potency of people's work gets reduced to, um, the overuse of one or two or three words. You know, or suddenly it becomes the name of everyone's course, or I, it, it, it make, it makes me sick. Um, and again, that's probably me being a total. Snob and, and, um, and arrogant. But, um, yeah, there's also something there. It just, when people create with such potency, like Martin Shaw does, he's a storyteller and a mythologist, uh, and a, and a brilliant writer. Um, but yeah, it's like when people create with such potency, it's like, I just. It kind of makes me a little bit sick to see those things get watered down. But, um, alas, it's not something I can control and the more people that read his work the better. Um, so I'm working my way through all of his books and he has a brilliant substack as well, uh, which I highly recommend. And in that substack, he has an incredible. Article on Beauty, which I highly recommend. It's behind a paywall and it's well worth your$6 or whatever it is. It's worth$600. It is an immaculate piece of writing, and it's on beauty and in it. Here I am watering it down and bastardizing it. He talks about beauty as as not being this like. Let's talk about physical beauty. He's not talking about it in the way of somebody is so physically beautiful that it's transport. He's talking about a beauty that emanates from within a being that creates an atmosphere of beauty, and those who walk within that atmosphere of the other being are elevated. They feel elevated, they feel so good when they're around that person. And I think that's an incredibly strong liberal quality and talisman of these higher expressions, uh, of this sign. Uh, we feel good when we're around somebody who is, who has touched a serene place within themselves. Who knows how to make eye contact with everyone in the room to feel connected to, um, elevate the space not through any form of adaptation or non-truth with themselves, but um, through being in a beautiful relationship with themselves and beauty. Their beauty, the experience of beauty within life, seeing the landscape in front of you and connecting to the beauty of it rather than just passing it by. Well, I was gonna do a q and a, but um, this is 26 minutes, so I might leave that until next week, which makes sense because we'll be in Scorpio so we can go. A little bit more meat and veg into the love questions. Love through the lens of astrology. Um, I have astrology school starting in 50 minutes. We're actually doing RY this week, which is relational astrology. So I have to go and prep the charts that I'll be using. I have three that I'm going to show. One was, um, a relationship which was filled with intense aspects. Um, and one was a relationship which was filled with a lot of seamless, really integrated aspects, the aspects being the relationships between the pa, between the planet. Um, and then the other is the RY of my child and I that's always very fascinating one to look at if you have children, if you have parents. It's very interesting to look at the RY we have with our parents as well. Okay, this was way longer than I'd hoped, and I hope you have a beautiful Li New Moon and a new Moon week.
