NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN

How to use this New Moon in Capricorn as an anchor point for the year ahead, especially before the next New Moon on Feb 17th when we enter the year of the fire horse.

Howdy. Good morning. Uh, I'm recording this on Sunday, the 18th of Jan. I'm up in Byron Bay, uh, working at a really beautiful retreat in Soma. Byron, look it up if you haven't seen it. It's the most beautiful building, excuse me. And. It has this amazing, I think it's a dodecahedron, I don't know, but, um, this incredible dome, like clear dome that's just in the middle of, in the middle of this incredibly lush landscape. It's so, so, so, so good looking for any of you who are really harmonized by beauty, um. Which I think is most of us, it's just a space where you're like, Ugh, this is unbelievable. And I was speaking about the astrology of this year to everyone there. And then reading for, uh, some of the legends who are attending. And in the talk I was speaking about the New Moon in Capricorn, which is exact. Monday morning when this goes live. So we'll be beginning the week, uh, in the new Moon phase and in the new Moon in Capricorn. So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, half of Thursday. That's Australian time. Um, so just go backwards a, a day for the rest of you. And what I asked them to do at the beginning was to close their eyes and envision. The wisest version of them. You know, to me that's like the crone version of ourselves. Like it's our, it's our own grandmother wisdom. And this is a, this is an archetype that I certainly call on a lot within myself. When I'm making decisions or when I'm, I don't know, at a cross crossroads, you know, and to me it's like this version of myself who's gone through all of the living that I'm, you know, I'm still in the main course of really gives less Fs, um, you know, and is really, really deeply. Uh, grounded in her wisdom, in her power, I would almost say in her fierceness. Um, and I mean that as a good thing, and I think it's just, sorry. I think that that is, that to me really is Capricorn, or it's an aspect of Capricorn. This is an energy which is deeply associated with the. The magic and the wisdom that comes from experiencing time. And for all of us here, while we're in this new moon, mercury and Mars are also here. Venus has just crossed over into Aquarius. Um, we are really able to call on this energy and I, I really feel that this year, the year that follows. And always just as a, as a human here on earth, one of the main things that we're here to do is bring to life the things that we've always wanted to bring to life. You know, it's like the dreams that you have, those secret desires that you have, that you've either kept to yourself or. Perhaps you've told a couple of people do that now. You know, it's like for me personally, having gone through all of those incredible midlife tra transits from 37 to now, I'm in the last couple of months of the Uranus opposition. If you're in that. If you're in that age bracket, I do have a, a workshop on that. It's, there's, there's four unbelievable transits that occur during this time. Um, and you really wanna be, well, it's very helpful to be well versed in them. As you move through them, but for me, I think as a byproduct of being here for 44 years and, and having moved through these transits, um, and, and having a, a much deeper appreciation for time than I've ever had before, something that, uh, I cannot do is excuses the swearing. I can't bullshit myself. Anywhere near as good as I could in, in the past, you know, in terms of talking myself out of doing particular things that I really want to do. It's like the, the impetus to do those things is so, um, it's like, it's almost crawling on my skin, you know? I, I can't deny them now. And, and the, if I'm putting off those things, it's now, it's having a negative effect. Um, whereas in the past I could. You know, fall into the drama of my personal life, or which I was really good at doing, uh, or distract myself over here or distract myself over there. And now it's like, in terms of the things that I really want to do, it's harder to deny them and there's more impetus to do them. And I don't think that that's just me. I think that that is the astrology of the time that we're in, and that could be anything for you that could be doing a hobby that you adored as a child. That could be, uh, you know, it could be small or it could be a grand thing. It, it, the size of it is absolutely irrelevant. What we are deeply being called to do this year and into next is. To really bring, uh, more of who we are into our lives, you know, bringing it to life with our attention and our energy. And to me personally, I think a great way for all of us to utilize, you know, in my personal opinion as an astrologer, this is an incredibly great new moon and weak. To build anchors, you know, like a guiding principle for our time ahead, a guiding principle for the year ahead. And that has a lot to do with, you know, in, in the territory of Capricorn, our sense of integrity, our values, and then, yeah, this, this natural Capricorn sense of time. Like the length of our lifetime. What, what are we wanting to bring and ground into Earth through our lifetime? That's really what this New Moon is about, and I think it's deeply, uh, timely because to do that, to have these very grounded, you know, this is an earth sign. To have these grounded guiding anchor points. That's what I would refer to them as these guiding principles because on the 17th of Feb, when we have that next New Moon, which is in Aquarius, uh, which is a partial solar eclipse, and we begin the year of the horse, um. It's, it's kind of, it's such a shift in energy now. It's, you know, it is like the slow churn, which personally I, I love, it's about to get frenetic as we go into a more frenetic, more cerebral as we go into Aquarius season this week. And like I was saying last week, like really pay, like if you're at notice, notice the shift from earth to air, you know, the most grounded of earth into the fastest of air. Capricorn into Aqua You. It's, it's one that it, it's hard to miss and, but once we begin that year of the horse, the horse to me is like a familiar, the horse to me is like I'm able to sit on top of the horse and ride it and get to where I'm wanting to go through action Energy. Which is all the Aries movements. Just before the New Moon, the next new Moon, uh, I'll be able to, we'll all be able to get where we want faster, but if we don't have these grounded anchor points, if we don't have a sense of the map and we don't get to see the full play out of the map before we enter the path, it wouldn't be an adventure. Um, it wouldn't be a quest if it was all laid out and boringly, um, known, you know? Um, but if we don't have these guiding principles, then that's like not having reigns on the horse. You know? There's no way to guide that ally. It will just bolt and we may end up somewhere much further than who we actually are. Very quickly. Um, so I'll speak about this more in depth next week, but we have the first, there's two huge things that are, are happening. The first one is the 26th of Jan, which is Neptune will move into Aries, and then on the 13th of February, satin will move into. Aries and they will be together at zero degrees of Aries, which is the first degrees of the Zodiac. And when I was researching the year ahead, I read that this was the first time that Saturn and Neptune have been together at zero degrees of Aries. Again, this starting point since 4,000 bc. So this is really. It feels like it's ushering in a new era. Neptune is the visions, the the things that are yet, the things that are immaterial. They haven't yet taken form, so it's. This, this sense of possibility, this vision of possibility in the future, let's say. And, and this is both personal for us, but also as a collective experience. And then Saturn is time and space. It is the fundamentals of earth. You know, if you wanna get good at earth, if you wanna get good at human life on earth, uh, really become allies with satin and, and Capricorn. Um. So yeah, we're, this is, this week is still pretty chill. Uh, we will have that movement into Aquarius, so we will really notice the, the shift in pace. Um, so maintaining our groundedness is a, is a brilliant thing. Um, and yeah, next week I will discuss more those, those two transits because they are. Pretty spectacular. Um, I do want to mention astrology school as well. Of course. Uh,'cause the doors open to that Monday. So when you are listening to this and I just checked the wait list before and there's 400 legends on the wait list, that's. Awesome. I'm like blown away. I mean, I know astrology is alive and well, but it's just so exciting that so many people are wanting to engage with this language and understand, understand themselves through this lens. Um, so it's something that I wrote during the week that I, I would love to share here is like when I think of the. Absolute majority of my clients, but then also the majority of uh, people who come into astrology school, they've been reading people since childhood and likely you've been reading people since childhood as well, you know, and now it's time to give that sensitivity a language and. That's astrology school, you know, and when I say you've been reading people since childhood, it's like the room, the mood, the unspoken dynamics, uh, you know, like the psychic investigator. Um, really being a natural lie detector. Uh, and it's really interesting when people have learned early how to sense before they spoke. Because while that ability likely kept you safe, it has also trained your attention outward. You know, so it's like learning to read the room first, and then over time when that's the case, intuition without language becomes quite noisy. It can feel very foggy. It can feel like you are surrounded by an impenetrable fog. Um, you know, that's when it's that high sensitivity where it's like you feel like you can't even go outside without it draining you. And I think sensitivity without structures does become draining. It was certainly the case for me. And Astrology School does give you, does give your perception a framework. So you're not just reading others with clarity. You're finally reading yourself with the same preci, precision and, and depth. Unbelievable depth. You know, every single planet, every single part of your needle chart refers to a different aspect, um, of your personality. You know, it's, we're so deeply complex and nuanced, which is a beautiful thing, and. Your chart reveals all of that to you? You know, like time and time again when I'm reading for people, it's, it's at such a validating experience because we don't often have these mirrors reflected back from a young age, and so. It's like, yeah, I am me. I am who I am. You know? Which sounds so simple, but it, that's such an unbelievable experience when you've been so incredibly good at reading people forever, but may not have had the same lens applied to yourself. So this isn't Astrology school isn't about sharpening your gift because you already have that. It's about giving what you perceive a language so you can trust it. This isn't some new experimental thing that I'm trying out on people. It has legs. Um.
