Uh, did you just hear me clearing my throat? Uh, how are you? I'm really excited to be here, um, today. I've just had a really great Sunday morning. Uh, just went for a walk, but before that, I was deep in the books, and researching some really awesome things, um, from the ancient world. Uh, which I'll speak more about, you know, in the coming weeks. But you know when you just touch on something, or you're putting something together, and then you find the thing, and then it's like, "Oh, this is alive now"? I just had that experience, so I'm revved to the max as a product- as a by-product. Um, today, at the end, I'll, I'll do a, a little breakdown of Sunday's new moon in Taurus. Um, but today, what I really wanted to focus on is your moon, and to start opening up a conversation about the moon, our moon signs. Um, and the title of this is, you know, when we nourish our moon, we nourish our intuition. And astrologically speaking, that is, right? Uh, and that's just something that's not really discussed, um, as far as I've seen in this space. Um, and it's something that, you know, I have a whole branch of my work, of my business that is about intuition, and that is working on fostering, uh, a person's connection to that. I just think it's... If I could do, if I could help assist people to feel more connected with that part of themselves, um, that would, I would just feel incredibly successful. And it is one of my favorite things to do, um, when you see it click in somebody. Um, that all of these very simple, quiet, very familiar, almost so obvious, because they're so natural parts of themselves, when you reflect those back to somebody and say, "This is your intuition," it's, it's just, it's just the best feeling. So, um, this is our moon placement. If you don't know where your moon is, I highly recommend that you go and look that up, uh, after listening to me. Uh, I always recommend people go to astro.com Because it will bring up your chart, but it will bring up your chart in the way that I read it and that I teach it, which is Western Tropical and Placidus. Uh, so everyone really talks about their sun. I was doing some research earlier this week on when people started talking about the sun sign, because it wasn't actually a thing until, from what I've found, the 1930s, when a newspaper in England hired an astrologer to write about the chart of, I think it was Princess Margaret. And it was a great success, and from there, this astrologer, uh, began, was commissioned or began to write about sun signs, uh, sun horoscopes in the chart. Horoscope actually translates to the full natal chart. Uh, and which is funny because when we're reading our horoscopes, we're just... Which hopefully you don't really do that much. Uh, then you're just reading about your sun sign. And, uh, if you've ever had your chart reading, you know that there is like so many more layers and arms and nuance and complexity and gorgeousness to the tapestry of who a person is, which is fully presented in somebody's birth chart or natal chart. So but we really, we're, we're all aware of our sun sign. Even skeptics know what their sun sign is, which is brilliant. Uh, and, you know, in a way it kind of makes sense with, uh, how, how society is run, right? The sun is always on. The sun is always expressing itself. It's always producing light and energy, and is in expression of itself. Uh, whereas, you know, so the sun is seen. Your sun sign is seen. Uh, it becomes obvious or apparent to somebody when you're hanging out with them, you know, what, how this, the architecture of this archetype becomes really... It, it's, it's obvious. It, it makes itself known. You know? It's so much related to your relationship with your vitality, being in the expression of that archetype. The moon, however, is something that- Is really worth being aware of in your own life with your own self, and really tending to and nourishing. So while the sun is in a, in a sense fixed, and everything orbits around it, and it's always on, and it's the life giver, the moon, she's a different beast altogether. She has cycles, eight every month, and sometimes she's standing at full illumination, and for the same amount of time at the opposite end of the month, she is, has completely disappeared. So while the sun holds its position, it's constant, it's unwavering, the moon has cycles. She waxes, which is grows. She wanes, which is recedes. She stands at full illumination, and then she begins to recede. She disappears entirely, and then she slowly returns. So this same cycle is repeated throughout the year, but it's constantly expressing itself differently in each time because with each cycle, it's moving through different signs. Each phase is presenting itself in a different archetype or sign e- every time. So it's activating these different themes. It's asking different things of us, or it's presenting different aspects of ourselves from the inside out. While the sun we could say is the outer world, the moon is our inner world. It's like our private terrain. It is our waters. It's our emotional self, and what I'd really like to focus on is it, it's our, it's our intuition. It's this, yeah, private landscape that nobody else has full access to. I think if we live with people, like our domestic environment can have a lot to do with our moon and the nourishment of our inner world. But unless we're-- no one's ever fully in, uh, the living experience that we're in, right? There's something that's so innately private, and in... It's like our interior. So while we're very good at tending to the sun and bringing it to life and expressing it, I'd say we're far less practiced and certainly less encouraged to tend to the moon and- And here I would say to tend to our own innate cycles. We're all cyclical beings. We all have our own cycles. Um, it's something that I talk about a lot in astrology, really beginning to moni- uh, astrology school, sorry. Really beginning to monitor this cyclical aspect of yourself. And if this is something that you want to lean into, I would highly recommend that you spend the next month tapped into the lunar cycle. Follow her phases. See where she is each day. Check in. When she's visible, eyeball, eyeball her. Like, watch how she changes throughout the days, the weeks, and the month. Um, and, uh, you know, almost as this sort of macro of noticing our inner shifts. For those of us who, uh, have our own cycles, like, um, you know, our, our bleed is the most obvious cycle. Really being aware of those four phases, and being really able to fine-tune and feel when, when we're in each of them. You know, it's something that's so interior. It's not something that is, um, a shared experience with everyth- everyone in the room, you know, that you're in. It's something that you're engaged in yourself. And that hormonal experience, those waves, um, are such a felt interior experience. And we can see why there's such a, a link between the moon and her cycles, and the cycle of the bleed, for example. So the moon is one of the primary seats of intuition in your chart. When someone tells me that they're feeling, let's say, cut off from their own knowing, maybe it feels muffled, uh, or they've overridden it many times, um, or it feels almost, like, unreliable, that's usually the first place that I look, is their moon. Its sign, its house, the aspects in relationship to it, and the element that it's in. You can glean so much information just from that. Um, you know, I, I have a whole mini reading which looks at somebody's intuition, because the, your birth chart speaks to the absolute specifics of you. Yes, we're all dominant. We're usually all dominant in one clair specifically Or we can be dominant in a couple at the same time. I read for so many people who are strong in all of them, but there's, there's very clear direct contact with one or two parts, you know, like the feeling self, the, the visual self, et cetera, et cetera. I mean, you know what all of them are. Uh, and so we can really speak incredibly specifically to somebody's intuition based off of their natal chart. However, you knowing your moon sign is going to allow you to access quite a lot. Um, it certainly will show me how it, how it moves, but more than that, how you can nourish your inner world. Again, by sign, by house, even the element that it sits in is giving you the coordinates of how to best nourish your inner world, your intuitive self. And the more that you're cultivating a relationship, uh, with this part of you through nourishing it, which is an action, or a better word for that is... No, nourish is the right word for it, but being in devotion to nourishing your moon sign. If you were to do that for one month or a week or one lunar cycle, you would feel so much more connected to yourself, and that's free. Um, it's really worth saying that your intuition does not move the way that everyone else's does. So if you've ever tried to follow the advice about, I don't know, trusting yourself, and found that it just didn't quite fit, that's probably why. Maybe you were l- like reading about, um, the specifics of how a, a particular person did that. You're going to... We're all so different. And again, our, our, our astrology, our birth chart shows us in, in such a nuanced, detailed, practical way what those differences are and the specifics of how we can nourish all of the parts of ourselves. For example, very, very briefly, my moon is in Virgo in the 12th house. Uh, and It really took me a long time to find the Virgo part of this. The 12th house is the natural territory of Pisces. The 12th house is a b- a boundary-less space. It's very clairsentient. It's very clairvoyant. Uh, it's like being this psychic sponge that just absorbs the feeling and the data within any room as if it's its own. What, what I had to learn was given to me through the archetype of Virgo. Discernment, energetic hygiene, my body, like the boundary of my physical body, and really understanding, like even nutrition and, uh, what is... what does my body need, uh, in terms of like what I'm even physically nourishing it with. So it was so, uh, permeable, and I used to have so many depressions. I could just feel everything, even on, on a collective level, and it didn't serve me at all. I was one of those people, th- those classic people who would go out and then come back and just feel so overwhelmed and so socially drained, uh, because I had no boundaries, and I wasn't self-contained. I was reading everyone and completely, um, detached from reading myself. Um, yeah. So I was also told so many times from so many people from the beginning like, "You're too sensitive." Uh, and it took me a really long time to actually see my sensitivity as an ability that I could consciously harness into a skill, and that sensitivity is my intuitive abilities when I'm reading for you. Um, you know, I've got the boundaries, the, the discernment, the groundedness now, and I've cultivated that sensitivity into a very sharp, finely, um, attuned skill that I can wield and that I can turn on and off. You know, I was one of those people, and I'm sure a lot of you can relate, that would walk down the street, and I would be the person that people would come up to and ask for directions. Or I would be the person that, you know, maybe somebody was schizophrenic, and they would come up to me, and they would have a message for me. Um, now that never happens because I've learnt how to zip myself up. I'm self-contained. I have a container. Um, and I think that's partly why I'm so, really so excited and passionate about imparting in a reading or in my work, and its different arms, your intuition, and how to grow and nourish that part of yourself. Um, yeah. So I've made a quiz. Actually, I made it two years ago, and I've just revisited it in the last few weeks, and I've sharpened the hell out of it, uh, because two years is a long time, and, um, in my work, I'm, yeah, of course, like, always growing and developing. Um, and it will show you, uh, where your intuition is dominant right now. Again, like, you h- have access to all of the abilities, but we are usually quite dominant in one. Um, sometimes... And what's interesting, and again, your chart shows you this, sometimes you're dominant in one through your nurture, and then sometimes you're dominant in one through your nature. The chart shows us both. Um, so this isn't theoretical. It's not where it should be theoretically. It's, like, what you're actually dominant in. It takes two minutes, uh, and comes back with specifics i- in a way to be very, very genuinely useful. So I'd recommend you find your moon sign first, and then go and do the quiz, and between the two of those, you'll, you'll have, um, a lot of self-knowledge about your own intuitive architecture, uh, that you can really work with, and, and, and, um, yeah, work with and utilize. Um, the quiz is going into the show notes this week, so if you're listening to this on Monday, like the day that this drops, keep an eye on my Instagram. Because once all of the technical things that go into, um, putting together a quiz that are way beyond my brain scope, um, yeah, once all that's done, I'll, I'll put it in the show notes here, and I'll also put it up on Instagram. Um, yeah. I hope that's helpful. And now I'd love to give you a, a synopsis of this very, very beautiful, grounded, uh, new moon in Taurus, which is taking place- In Australia, Australian Eastern Standard Time on Sunday the 17th of May, just after 6:00 AM. And in this, the sun and the moon will be exact at 25 degrees of Taurus, and then Mercury is right next to them, conjunct, uh, and a, and a big part of the mix, uh, at 28 degrees of Taurus. So there's something really gorgeous here, and that's why I wanted to talk about the nourishment this week because Taurus knows how to nourish itself. In its highest expression, it knows how to s- take such beautiful, practical, devoted, grounded, reliable care of itself. And I'm, I'm sure all of you have had an experience where you've gone, "I wanna do this thing," or, "I wanna bring in this routine or this ritual that I know really benefits me for X, Y, Z, and it makes me feel so good when I do it." And I'm sure all of you have then wrestled with the consistency of that thing, like the consistent application of that thing. I don't think we need to have really strict routines that we do every day. That doesn't work for me personally, but there are things that I need to do within a week or within, uh, you know, every two or three days, uh, where if I don't do them, I can feel the lack of the thing. Um, but I'm not somebody who's, like regimented. I just don't know if that works for me. Again, like I've just talked about how we're cyclical beings. There's weeks within the month for me where I am action-orientated to the maximum, and then there are weeks when I'm very internal and more in hermitude. Um, and I like... And, and it's the same for all of you. Right? So what I wanna highlight though is Taurus is teaching us how to have, how to hold ourselves in a beautiful high regard, not, not as arrogance, but how do I value myself? What is my own relationship to my, my worth? What is my own relationship to my value? Um, and I don't mean in a monetary sense. I mean, these are my values. This is the behavior that- I expect from myself, um, or, you know, these are the values that I expect from myself. This is my, this is my sense of integrity, but here it is in application. Taurus, part of the greatest magic of this archetype is, as an earth sign, as the earth expression of Venus, we grow our relationship to ourselves and our sense of worth and our sense of value through showing ourselves how we take care of ourselves. Theory is irrelevant. It's how am I practically showing up for myself? That's how that part of ourselves grows. When the evidence is there, when the practical ev- uh, application is there, that is what is building that sense of self, that sense of worth. So this falls on next weekend. An interesting part of this chart for the new moon, which, uh, is here in front of me, is Chiron is at twenty-eight degrees of Aries, exactly in a conjunction with Mars, the ruler of Aries, at twenty-eight degrees. So our will, the, that forward momentum, our desire nature, what we're moving towards, what we're wanting, um, is, is possibly either being, um We're either, either s- it's not either. There's so, uh, multitudes here. We're either getting to see or sense or feel, where am I not taking action towards the things that I actually want to be doing, or we're getting a healing around, it's safe for me to go after what I want. There, there are two possibilities here. But then with the, with such a cohesion of life force, outer world, sun, inner world, intuition, uh, emotional self, moon, and mind, how I'm receiving information, how I'm expressing it, Mercury, we're really able to see, do I feel worthy of these things that I desire? Am I taking action towards these things that makes me feel worthy of having these things as well? This is, this is earthy work. It wants evidence. It wants practical application. Um, something that I'm thinking of doing, uh, and I was in a, a Pilates class with Belle- The best Pilates teacher I've ever had, I adore her. Um, she has a great company in the mountains called Groundwork Pilates, and I think that she's going to... I should double-check, but I think she's going to have things online. She's just unbelievable, um, as a teacher. Uh, and there was someone in class yesterday morning who said that they'd just bought a sauna, and in that, they'd received this book about all of these, like, Finnish, um, like, rituals that you could do in a sauna. I don't have a sauna. But the one that she mentioned, and I was like, "Oh my God, that's so Venusian, that's so Taurean," was to create this scrub, which is different salts, but honey. Um, yes. So that is something that I am going to do for myself next week. Honey to me is so Venusian. Honey to me is so Taurean. It's so sensual. It's so medicinal, but it's so, like, luxurious and sensual. It's just, it's liquid gold. Um, and that's something that I wanna do. You know, it's grounded. Salt to me is such a great cleanser, for me specifically. Um, and, and, and I want to take the time next weekend to be in devotion to really tending to my vessel, and that's how I'm going to do it. So yeah, we're in Taurus season. Like, lap it up. Um, I'm really gonna lap it up this week, and certainly going to, um, double down on it next weekend with this beautiful new moon. So yeah, take the quiz, look up your moon sign. Notice what really nourishes you. This isn't doing the things that nourish other people. It's just, uh, having a level of curiosity and awareness, 'cause you're already doing these things, around what nourishes you. But what nourishes you in a Taurean way, in a way that is sustainable, um, has longevity, you know, and is good for you. Um, yeah. Hope you have a great week. Bye.
