Hi. How are you? Um, I've been laughing to myself because I'm recording uh, this podcast on the full moon in Capricorn, and I am run down. It's like, it's like I'm this little bit of litmus paper for this full moon, and I've gone through the experience, or I'm in the experience of it, one expression of it, and now I'm recording, um, a map of here's, here's what this was like for me. Um, so yeah, it's just, it's so funny. You know, Capricorn is... I'm just g- I'm gonna dive right in. Hi, my brain's not fully on board, so I'm just diving right in. Um, Capricorn is a sign, it- it's ruled by Saturn, that, and, and both of these energies or archetypes, excuse me, can really deliver s- uh, realism. But m- the way that I think about both of them, it's like it's that stark realism. It's this experience or an insight or whatever it might be that is almost, um, somewhat painful. Like, there's no sugarcoating the thing, and this is, uh, Tuesday is going to be a full moon in Capricorn, so any time we're looking at the full moon, we're looking at the unconscious aspects of this sign. Um, and so I'm, I'll, I'll speak just briefly to my own experience because it really is, uh, on the money for a Capricorn full moon. I feel like the last week, you know, I'm, I am somebody who, um, I mean, I work for myself. At the moment there's five different people, um, working within my business as contractors or in different roles. And so there, yeah, there, there's always things to be doing, and it's, I have to create everything. I have to produce everything. Like, I have to come up with the ideas. Um, otherwise there's nothing, um, otherwise there's no business. So in that sense, it's like it is my responsibility, and I love that, and I love having my own business. I could talk about business for 23 days straight. I love talking about it to my friends. Um, but what I really have noticed since my, um, beautiful son has been at school this year, it's really changed my, our, um... What's that word? Timetable? Schedule? Um, and I'm still not fully, I h- I f- I haven't still, haven't found the rhythm I've, I've got a moon in Virgo. For me personally, Capricorn is in my third and fourth house. It's, it's really-- It's on my IC. It's really, like, related to my inner world. I'm somebody that I, I've realized over the years, I really need a lot of, um, structure, clarity around the week, um, routines, et cetera, for me to feel good. Like, for me to feel in the flow of things. And what I just noticed this week was this atmosphere that has been building, um, maybe for a week or so, and it's like this... Atmosphere's the best word I have for it. It feels like pressure, self-generated pressure, PS. Um, like, there's a lot of moving parts, and it's not just work, it's other things. And the time that I would usually have, I haven't had in the last couple of weeks, and I need a lot of alone time. So I think that's sort of thrown me somewhat too. And yeah, so this, like, m-mood, atmosphere for me, you know, really lives in the top of my shoulders. Uh, and I just... I've, I've been away. I, I came back this morning 'cause I was feeling horrible. Um, but I, I went away for work this weekend. Um, got to see my first teacher who I love and adore, um, give a class, which was so great, and I got to see so many faces. Um, and And so I used that time when I checked in on Friday to just lay it all down in my diary. Uh, the opening line is, "I am in such an annoying mood." Um, and I, you know, I realized through writing that I was just, I was so d- I was really dysregulated and, and had just been going through the motions. Um, and because of that, like, I am somebody who can really have a strong sense of busyness. It was like my first word, busy. Um, so there's something that's very innate about that, and again, I've got a Virgo moon. Uh, and I, and I really have to work consciously to measure, is this sense of this feeling of busy actually true? 'Cause when I'm, you know, when I'm organized, which is 90% of the time, um, everything's there. Like I know what I have to do. And, and even so, just knowing what I have to do right now, uh, there's still this sense of like, "Oh God," um, I don't know. It's a, it's a funny feeling. And I just realized like I'm dys- I'm dysregulated 'cause I haven't had any good quality time to myself in the last two weeks. And there, there are things that are due, um Sorry, this is so this is me just sitting at my table talking to myself. Um, but what I, what I realized is, and what's been making me laugh at that, this is just so unconscious Capricorn. Because I've known that what I really need is time to rest, and yet there's this overarching feeling that I don't have the time to rest, but I'm not using my time... Like I'm, I'm using the time that I have to stress rather than be productive And that's very much Capricorn, the unconscious side. It learns to override how it's feeling, what it needs. You know, the, the opposite of Capricorn is Cancer, which is really related to The, the, the two of these guys together, they're called the foundational axis, and Cancer is the roots. It's our, it's our inner sanctuary, and it's our domestic sanctuary. And it's a lot to do with how we nourish ourselves, being, being connected to that inner world. Like, what are my emotional needs here? Like, what's my What are my energy levels? What do I need? How can I nourish myself? And then Capricorn is the top of the tree. It's what everybody sees. Um, it's our roles and our responsibilities, our obligations, um, out in the world. At least that's part of it, right? And when Capricorn is unconscious, it's not tethered to that Cancerian aspect. It, it, it's learnt to override my need for rest, and then of course one of the things that unconscious Capricorn Actually, I'd say one of the initiations that someone with strong Capricorn will always go through at least once is some form of a burnout or exhaustion, because they have that capacity to, to, um, persevere, keep doing the thing, um Yeah. So it's really, um, I, I'm kind of having a mini experience of this. Uh, and it, and it's something, you know, again, this is c- I have Capricorn on my IC. It's my root system. It's, it's my early childhood. And I really learned how to override that. Um, and so I, I've had to work really hard to rest. And yeah, it's really, it- it's like I've had, I've got to have this, doesn't feel great, but afterwards it kind of feels really incredible, uh, one of these really sort of stark reality moments with myself in terms of, okay, what, what am I not happy about, and what are the underlying emotions and thoughts and et cetera that I've just been overriding to, um, move on with? And so I sat with those things, and it was great. It was nothing shocking. Um, and, and, and none of it was w- work-related. But to just give myself that time and that inquiry really helped. And then of course my body caught up and, um, and now I'm sick. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, the feeling I had actually was like I, I had been in a freeze state for a, a week or so, um, on, on a sort of lower level, you know? Um, and in resistance to something, you know, the whole time. You know that feeling like when you're in resistance to the thing, and that takes so much energy. Um, and I hadn't felt that for a while, so it was really kind of illuminating to revisit. Uh, it, it... And I've, I just found it very hard in the last week to switch my mind off and to go to sleep, which isn't the norm for me to. So the reason that I'm telling you this is not really to share how I'm feeling, it's more just to illuminate this very... This is so related to this full moon. I'm not saying that you're going to get sick or anything like that, but what I am saying is from this, where the sun is, where Mercury is, where, where Jupiter is until Tuesday, um, we're really able to see, 'cause it's illuminated by the sun, which is consciousness. We're able to see, how am I really feeling here? And then what we're, what all of that is illuminating is Capricorn, and the underbelly, the unconscious within Capricorn. Um, so it's like I'm, I'm... We're able to see anywhere where we're in override, where we're showing up for the thing, but we're not listening to ourselves, and there's so many ways that this can play out. Uh, what I wrote for the full moon post for this full moon, excuse me, um, is certainly that Capricorn needs a vision. It... Oh, that was my pumpkin. Um, I successfully grew some Japanese pumpkin, and I've just roasted it 'cause I'm gonna make a pumpkin soup. Um, yeah, it needs to know what it's moving towards, and there's a sense of security that comes from knowing it's moving through time with purpose. Um, and I know for myself, I was saying this to a client in a reading With the Virgo, where it, it lives in my chart, with the Capricorn, where it lives in my chart, it's like I need to have an, uh, that sense of success, that feeling of success is a really important one for me. And your sense of success is going to be vastly different from me, as it should be. Um, so for example, it was a Tuesday a few weeks ago, and I did the work that I needed to do. I went for a walk, which was something I wanted to do, and then I had the time to sit in the sun and read English, um, House Garden. And my whole body felt like success. You know? I, I had done all of the things that I'd set, that I had set out to do that day, and I felt like a sense of completion and success and happiness. Um, and with a full moon in Capricorn, we're at the midway point of this year now. And with all of the Cancerian, intuitive, clairsentient, emotional, energetic energy, you know, the, the, the connectivity to our inner world, we're really able to, again, see or sense or get a, get an idea of, okay, what is the vision that I cast for this year? And what, what is my, what is my sense of success? Like, how do I define that for myself? And how have I set this year up for myself in order to feel that? To, to, to get there, to meet the vision. So it's like this full moon is almost like an audit of the year so far. And then very interestingly, on Tuesday with the full moon, Mercury will turn retrograde just in the hours after the full moon, and then Jupiter will move into Leo. So it's not like, you know, especially with Mercury retrograding in Cancer, like moving backwards into more of that i- the internal uh, emotional waters, the receptivity It's about really tending to that nurturance, really being the, almost like the psychic investigator in the, in any territory that arises over the next three weeks. It's not necessarily about resolving it, anything that comes up outward or externally. It feels more about making those changes within your own sanctuary, and then within your domestic environment. You know what I mean? Rather than, like, let me think of a mundane example. Um, rather than being like, "Ugh, the full, the full moon showed me I actually hate my job. Now I must quit my job." It's, it's not that kind of a thing. It's so much more to do with Or where am I, how am I utilizing time? What's the vision that I have for the time that I get to carve up? Um, how does this feed me, the things that I'm doing out in the world? Do I feel like I'm in a connection to myself? Like, is this fueling me? Am I, uh, do I know how to fuel myself so I can play the long game, which is the Capricorn energy? You know, when I think about my business, for example, it's such a long game. Um, you know, r- I really benefit so, so beautifully from the compounding effect of word of mouth, but that's not something that you feel at the beginning, 'cause it takes, it takes years to build word of mouth. Um, and I, and I see myself in my 80s and my 90s reading for people or writing books and, and still, still doing the things that I'm doing. Probably bringing in other stuff, too. Who knows? But do you know what I mean? Like I'm the... When I think of, when I think of the long game, it's not this year, but the, the way that I tend to myself, I'm not going to allow myself to burn out. And I, and it feels like, you know, getting a sore throat, feeling fluey, is a really, has been a really great reminder for me of exactly what it is that I need to deeply tend to myself, and also my grander goals. Like, if I'm not feeling fueled, I won't be able to turn up for those things, which is so basic B. But that's it A Capricorn moon is also, it holds a lot of maturity, emotional maturity. It's Because it's, it's an earth sign. It's bringing in the practicality. Uh, so for example, with the things that I got really honest about, and I've been in dialogue with myself about these things this year. Again, not- these aren't anything to do with work. It's more to do with my personal life. By, like, even me just glancing over them now, it There's a sense of, "Well, this is achievable. Like, I can do something with this." If I had stayed in the, uh, covering over, uh, or the not identifying these things, then I would still be in that feeling of resistance and stress. But as soon as I was able to identify them, my body was able to relax, and that's when I, that's when I got sick. Um, so, so But, but again, it's like we can utilize that s- s- yeah, again, stark realism to our advantage. Because once we know what the thing is, once we know where the, the compass is set, or how we're really feeling about a particular thing on the inside, we're able to take action from that place, and it will be, will make Yeah, it will be, it will be worthwhile. Capricorn, again, is a, a very elegant, um, intelligent archetype. Very practically intelligent. And time is an, is an ally. There's so many, there's so many lessons that only come through experience of time. You know, it's like the more laps that I do, and I've just I'm, I'm at number 45 now, the more I'm able to perceive things that I just was not able to, uh, when I was in my 20s or my 30s. And perhaps I wasn't meant to. It's not like You know, and sometimes I don't know if you've ever seen those posts where, um, God, what was one I saw? "I'm, I'm 60. If you're in your 40s, here's what I'd tell you." Like, sometimes that sh- it You gotta go through the experience. Wisdom, it's like we can I do think we can pass on wisdom, because I do believe in things like storytelling. But at the same token, we can't hack our way into wisdom. We can't hack our way into this sense of self, um, that, that, that real realism about the se- the self that comes from time Okay, this went longer than I wanted it to, but there you go. Um, I have two recommendations for you. A book and a TV show. Uh, take it or leave it, I love spy shows. I sometimes think about this a lot, I, I analyze why, and I think, you know, when you've kind of been the psychic investigator forever, you know, it's, it can be really enjoyable, especially if a spy show is very, very, very well made. You know, and I'm sure there's a lot of you who are similar to me in the sense of sometimes you watch a show and as soon as the baddie walks on, um, screen, you're like, "Oh, it's... I already know it's them." You know, "There's... And, and now I have to sit through six episodes to, uh, get to the conclusion that I made as soon as I saw them." But there's something about, like, a really, really well-crafted spy show, especially when there's, like, politics, uh, international pol- politics thrown in, that is... it's so, it's so cerebral. Um, so it's not necessarily relaxing, but it actually kind of is for me because it's... I am completely engaged. So I've been watching The Agency, um, with Michael Fassbender, and I just finished it last night, season two, and it's so damn good. Um, highly recommend. Actually, I've got three recommendations. The other show that just floored me was called Rivals, um, based on a Jilly Cooper, um, series of books. It's so camp in such a great way. It's like '80s... It's the '80s, it's the Cotswolds, and it's from a, very much from a female POV, as in all the men are really hot. Um, or, or... Yeah. Well, one in particular. Um, and it was great. At, at first it... Like, it's really campy, it's really soap opera-y, but, um, I got to the end of the midway point of season two, and I was bawling my eyes out. Um, it's great. And then with a book, I have I have 100 pages left, and I kind of want to delay it, but I also need to finish it. Uh, it's called Still Life by Sarah Winman, W-I-N-M-A-N. Um, one of the best books, probably the best book I've read this year. Best fiction. Uh, it's unbelievable. Mostly based in Florence, but also parts in London, and just the char- it's just, it just, if you love fiction, you'll love this. Um, yeah. I'm, I'm not even gonna go into it, but just the world, the people, the characters, they're, they're just my people. Okay. Have a nice week. Um, just observe, again, with, with all of these things, observe what arises during this pre- and post-full moon. Um, and then again, like as the, as the Mercury turns inward, and last week's episode was all about that, you may feel more reflective, or you may feel like you're in more communication with your inner world, and it's really just about observing and taking, taking note. Um, but yeah. I hope you have a great week. Bye.
