Erik Michelsen

Erik Michelsen is the Deputy Director for the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works, heading the Bureau of Watershed Protection and Restoration. He leads efforts to restore local waterways and the Chesapeake Bay through infrastructure projects, including stream restoration and stormwater management.

Since October 2020, he has served as the Deputy Director for the Bureau of Watershed Protection and Restoration. He oversees environmental projects such as living shorelines, stream restoration, and the maintenance of storm drains and infiltration basins.
