Dr. Shawn Ashworth
Dr. Shawn Ashworth has been employed with Anne Arundel County Public Schools since 1994, serving in several roles, such as School Counselor, Assistant Principal, Pupil Personnel Worker, Special Assistant for Discipline, Principal at a Comprehensive and Alternative school, and Senior Manager of Discipline & Disproportionality. Currently, Dr. Ashworth works in the Office of Safe and Orderly Schools as a Program Specialist, serving as a Special Assistant.
She is an Adjunct Professor at Anne Arundel Community College in the TEACH Institute. Many of Shawn’s achievements and accomplishments have been achieved working in the Alternative School setting, and assisting school-based staff with building positive school cultures through implementation of the Kids at Hope philosophy and multi-tiered supports.
