Yeah. Okay. Well with that, I, I do not recall what we were, what I was saying before that happened. I think I was saying something like all of our stories, we're going to go in chronological order from like childhood to present day. Um, and so all that to say, my first story is going to be about my childhood home. Um, so to set the scene, I, when I was growing up, I lived in two different houses. The first one I lived in from when I was born until I was about eight years old. Then I moved and I lived there. For the rest of my childhood until I eventually left and went to college and whatnot. So I'm going to talk about both of them because there's a little bit of overlap, I think, in the entities I was experiencing, um, but we'll get into that. So house I was born in, I was super lucky. This house was on. A substantial amount of land, so we had like woods in our backyard that went way, way back and it was technically our property. So we could go wherever we want without worrying about getting shot by hunters or anything like that. You know, um, so we have a, Pretty big backyard. And at this time, I want to say I was like 6 or 7 years old. And I have one younger sister who's 2 years younger than me. So she was like 4 to 5 years old. And everything I'm going to say now, I want to preface Um, with the fact that my sister and I did not talk about this at the time, but later on when we were adults, she brought it up to me first and was like, Hey, when we were kids, did you ever experience this? And I, Had those experiences, like felt the exact same thing. Um, and then we talked to our mom about it and she was like, oh yeah, you both were talking about, you know, these same specs at the same time, which freaked her out. And I also wanna say my mother, who I've talked about before, she's like very Christian. Like my family's very Christian. I'm kind of convinced she might be like a Christian witch without knowing it. You know, she's pretty witchy. She does like all the. herbalism, and

just very, she's a very spiritual person on top of her Christianity. Okay. So we're setting the scene. Um, so I'm super young and maybe six or seven years old, and I distinctly remember looking out the window. I'm standing in the kitchen, looking out the kitchen window into the backyard, and I see a shadowy figure. It looks like a man with a hat in my backyard. Just like, yeah, the hat man, pretty sure that's who it was. Um, and we have a very close friend who is intimately connected to the hat man. I don't know if we're going to talk about that or not. Um, but yeah, so I, I look out, I see this shadowy figure with the hat. Um, and I'm just like, that's weird. There's like a man in the backyard. And apparently at this point, I told my mom, I'm like, there's a man in the backyard, um, and I kept seeing him. And every time I saw him, he would get like kind of closer to the house. And we had, again, super, I was, we were

Uh, and it wasn't, I don't know what kind of hat, like the hat man, quote, the hat man usually wears, but this guy was like, it was almost like a cowboy hat kind of looking thing,

maybe. so yeah, so over time I've seen him getting closer and closer to the house. And then, so my sister and I shared a bedroom growing up. And so if you're looking from the door to the bedroom in, her bed is facing the door. And then if you were to walk into the room and turn right, my bed would be facing the door that way, like on the right wall. And again, we both talked about this years later, but I distinctly remember being in that house, laying in bed and feeling something over to my right, like standing in the corner of the room. And I knew that something was there and I would sleep like with the covers up over my with a tiny hole so that I could breathe every night,

Okay. And so that's that entity. After we left. That house. I didn't really see him very much, but I do want to talk about one other experience that happened in that house. We had a spare bedroom and I very clearly remember. So we moved when I was eight. So it was probably like seven or so at this time. The door was closed. I opened it up. I walk into the bedroom and I see these. Like three or four little lights, like little orbs kind of like dancing around each other in front of this bookshelf. I blocked this from my memory. I saw it and I was like, okay, Nope. And I closed the door and I walked away and I forgot all about it. and then we moved. So we moved to my new house. And in the new house, Skye, did you, you didn't ever go to the house that I lived in and the town where we met, right?

Yeah. Okay. So, so neither of you really know this house. It was like, it was a pretty big house. But it was very open and empty and it felt like you could feel all of the empty space.

Was it similar to Michael's old house? Cause you guys lived in the same neighborhood. Was it kind of that vibe? Cause you went, or you were in his parents house then.

Yes, but I want to say Michael's house growing up felt much more homey. Like you could, you could feel that people lived there. My house growing up, you really couldn't feel that like my parents basically stuck to they had a master bedroom on the bottom floor and then there was a living room connected to the kitchen and those three places were all connected. That was where they went. There was a basement. They didn't go down to the basement. the top floor. They did not come up to the top floor where my sister and I's bedroom. Um, that's where our bedrooms were. And then there was like a bonus room above the garage. but it just felt like nobody really lived there. And there was this weird dark energy about the place. There were a ton of corners. Like we had a lot of hallways. And so if you were walking down the hallway, you had to make, for example, from the stairs upstairs to my bedroom, you had to turn around three corners to get there. And every time it really felt like every single time you turned the corner there was going to be something standing right there. So I used to take my hand and like trace it along the walls and walk to my bedroom with my eyes closed because I didn't want to see

that was there. Uh, so yeah, generally spooky. I also, my bedroom was attached to the attic.

yeah, so there was my bedroom and then my closet, which was like just a normal closet. And then there's a door at the back of the closet that goes into the attic.

Michael's house was like that, too, because he lived on the third floor of that house, and then it was like a walk in closet, and then at the back there was like a real spooky, like, cellar door looking thing that went into, like, insulation into the rest of the house.

Yeah. And it, it just felt icky and this is kind of like a side note, but I have had sleep paralysis a lot and it started when I was in, I want to say middle school. And when I was growing up in that house. Most of my sleep paralysis experiences were me laying in bed and then something would come out of that attic door that was attached to the, to the closet. we talked about this in the Oniromancy episode, sitting on my chest, screaming in my face, you know. Awful, awful stuff. But anyway, so we had recently moved into this house. I was still probably like eight years old, maybe nine years old. and I come up the stairs and I feel really uneasy because the house just has a bad vibe in general. And I opened my bedroom door. That's another thing. We were not allowed to close our bedroom doors, at least not when I was this age. And I come to the end of the hall and the door is closed. I didn't close it, but the door is closed. And so I open it and I walk into my bedroom. It's dark. And in front of the closet, I see those same orbs. Those seem like light orbs, like kind of swirling around. I don't know how many there were, like three or four, maybe more, but they were doing that same kind of like flying around each other thing. And again, like, Oh, nope. And I, and I left and I closed the door behind me and I was like, I'm just not going to think about that. And I think it was, it was like a decade later when I was in college and I remembered that experience and I was like, huh, that was kind of fucked up. What was that?

what was that? And so one last part of this childhood home section, um, So generally super uneasy in the house. I mentioned this bonus room above the garage. So during the summer, it was super hot. During the winter, it was super cold because there was like no insulation. And it was generally just a, like out of the whole house, that room felt the ickiest.

Because no one's going in there. Like, the bonus room is usually for, like, entertaining, like, once a year.

yeah. That's where we, like when I would have sleepovers, like that's where we would all sleep. And we had a big old TV and a TV cabinet

And remember last episode, I was like, thinking back, writing out all these notes, I was like, oh shit, like that's where that nightmare comes from. It's that big, uh, if you haven't listened to the last episode, it's this big, pine, Cabinet that back in the day when TVs weighed like 200 pounds and they went back two feet, you would keep your TV in a little cabinet and underneath you'd have these like shelves where you put all your VHS tapes and stuff. So it was one of those and it was kind of situated. We had this little nook. There was like a window there and it fit perfectly there. Anyway, we had sleepovers there, a lot. So one night I was maybe nine or ten years old. I had some new friends. I have always had a hard time making friends. but I had made these friends and it was really exciting. We were having one of our first sleepovers and we stayed up late watching movies and fell asleep on a pile of blankets on the floor. so, um, And everybody's asleep. And I woke up maybe around early. It was early morning, Everyone around me is asleep. The TV screen, you know, like back in the day when you'd put in a DVD and when you finished the movie, it would go back to the title screen, like play music or whatever.

That didn't happen. It was a blue screen. And I remember thinking, this is weird. Like, why did it turn off? Um, but the TV is still on and I'm laying there and I'm starting to kind of feel a little bit anxious just because the vibe in the room is off. And I, it wasn't until I started writing out these notes that I remembered this, I, I like, I don't remember exactly, but something came on the TV and it felt like they were talking directly to me. Cause at first it was like, Oh, like, The, some show is on or whatever, but then they turned their focus to me and they're talking to me directly and they say my name and I'm, I'm just like, Nope, I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna turn off my brain and go back to sleep and hide under these covers and pretend like this never happened.

And that's definitely where that nightmare comes from.

plus my, my other shit. But like, to this day, I still have nightmares about that TV set. And something coming out of it and like, crawling toward me wherever I am.

I don't know which one it was, but she must have been in this like senior care facility place because we're in this big stone building, which was really interesting because The building was like square shaped, and then in the center there's like a little grassy courtyard area. And then I would see near the top of the stairs before you get to the turn feet I would see feet walking up the stairs with shoes and pants and whatnot, but the top bit was kind of covered by that part of the ceiling that hangs down. So I could only see the legs. And then when they got to the part where you turn left. The footsteps would stop and I wouldn't see anything else like nobody would ever come up to the landing and that happened a handful of times and I feel like I told Sky the first couple of times that this happened because this was a recurring thing. It was like, you know, those that type of haunting where it's like an impression of whatever's happened like over and over and over again in the house or like a strong memory or whatever. And so I had a pretty good feeling that this was not like an entity, but it was.

It was a father and a son. The father had Huntington's disease Which is a neurodegenerative disease and it's hereditary and it's It basically like your motor skills get really bad, like you start cognitively declining and whatnot. Um, so the son was taking care of the father, the father died. And so I found the dad's obituary. And I was like, okay, that's, that's definitely the pair that I've been hearing. And I don't think, I don't remember, I don't think that I read this anywhere, because I don't know why it would have been recorded anywhere, but I knew, like, in my gut that the son also had Huntington's, and like, had inherited it from the father, because it's a hereditary disease. And I knew that he had eventually also, you know, died of it. I don't know if it was in the house or not. but I, I know in my gut, they both suffered the same fate. They both died the same way and the son had been taking care of the father and just like that residual energy

We were in Sky Hill. And so if you don't know, um, Anahatas takes place from, um, a Thursday to a Sunday. So there are three nights There's Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, and then you leave on Sunday. And so I'm just going to take us through. We had a great time. The days were full of Rest and contemplation and connection to spirit and the earth and whatnot. It was fantastic the nights Got bit The energy was definitely raised like it's it's just the environment is such that there you have a ton of People that are super connected and you're all raising energy throughout the day. So it's just a very energetically complex experience Web, it's a very state for, for the entire weekend. So night one, it's Thursday night. it's pretty quiet. We've had a long day. I slept on Rivers couch the night before, uh, I had driven like six hours to get to rivers and then we all drove six hours to get to Anahatas. So it was like, it was a long day. We were all exhausted. I wiped out. Nothing really happened. Night one, Thursday night. night. two, someone in our cabin asked me to switch bunks. So, originally I was on the bottom bunk to the right of the front door. and then night two I was on the top bunk to the left of the front door. And night two is when shit started to happen for me. So, we're all in bed, it's like very quiet, everybody had come in for the night. Um, people kind of trickle in, you know, there, there are some people that are out later doing whatever they're doing. but by this point, everybody was inside, in bed, winding down, falling asleep. And so I'm laying there, And all of a sudden I see, feel, hear something rush past my bunk, like from, uh, if you don't know, so these cabins have a back door that's not really used very much, and then the front door, which people used to come in and out. And so it felt like someone had gone from the back door all the way, like ran across the cabin to the front. But I didn't hear the door open or close or anything like that. So I was like, okay, whoever was running in here must still be in the room. And I get up and I kind of like look around, but everybody's asleep. Nobody's been moving. So it's just this, I felt as a rush.

Like, I don't like that. and then my brain shut down and I fell asleep as you do. And then the next day, so that was Friday night, night two. Next day is Saturday morning. Um, every morning I went down to the water, I like took a little walk around the grounds and then I ended up by the water where I do a little meditation before I went back and met my friends. Um, river and sky. And so this day I'm there looking out at the water. I've had a nice little meditation. Like I'm kind of closing up. I'm getting ready to go and across the water from me. I see a flash of white, go from the right to the left. Hand side to the left hand side. Almost like someone is running like through the trees. And I kind of did a double take. I'm like, what was that? Is there someone there? There was nobody there. and that very shortly after that, maybe like 30 seconds to a minute, I feel a tap on my shoulder. And again, there was nobody there. And I'm like, okay, there's something here on these grounds that is Trying to communicate with me and in some capacity and that night. So this is night three the last night We're all going to bed. We're winding down. We're in our bunks and I'm I'm finally falling asleep and I feel again a hand on my knee on my left knee, so I'm On a bunk, on like the, if you're looking into the cabin, it's on the right hand side, so like my left side is exposed to the middle of the room, and so I feel a hand on my left knee, and it kind of like strokes down toward my ankle, like pressing against my shin, it's a very deliberate motion, like a stroking motion. From my knee down to my ankle. Yeah. Yeah. And again, I was like, like, there's nothing that I can, there's literally nothing I can do right now. There's nobody moving around the cabin. They're like, it's not a, not a human alive person that is doing this. So I just went to sleep. And then the next morning is Sunday morning. So that's the day that we were all gonna head out. And I did my, the same kind of routine walk that I always did. I walked around the grounds, I went down to the water. And when I was down there, I did a little meditation looking out at the water. And when I was doing that, like near the end, I was kind of thinking about my sister a little bit because she lives very far away from me now. And like I mentioned earlier on in the episode, we're very close. We're best friends now that we're grown, and she lives very far away, so I don't get to see her very often, maybe like once a year. And I was thinking about how much I miss her and then I felt like I almost heard from the water. It said, I miss my sister too. I haven't seen her in a very long time and I didn't mention this, but like this whole weekend, like I've spent a lot of time by the water and every time I did, I felt really connected and almost like we were having a conversation. It, it kind of felt like I knew the water at this point and it said to me, I miss my sister too. And I knew in that moment that it was talking about the ocean, like it missed the ocean because it hadn't seen the ocean and a very long time. and so I promised it in that moment. I was like, okay, well, next time I see the ocean, I will, tell it hello from you. Like, I'll let it know that you're thinking of it. And eventually I, I looked, like, when I got back home, I was like, when's the last time that Pennsylvania was submerged, like, under the ocean? It was, like, a hundred million years ago. Like, millions of years ago. It's been a long fucking time. Which, to water, like, which to the earth, that's not a super long time, but. Still long enough for it to miss it, right? And so after that I promised it. I was like, okay, next time I see the ocean, I'm going to let it know that you miss it. I'll say hello. And after that, I'm just standing there by the water. And so I know I'm alone and I'm chilling. I'm hanging out. But during my last session, I can hear my coworker's voice from her room. And I distinctly heard her laugh. I heard like murmurings of speaking and then I could hear her laugh. And this coworker, a different coworker from Sarah, but this coworker is very quiet. Even when they're talking in that room, I can never hear her. So I'm like, you know, did, did she get a last minute booking or something? Like, is she just talking to someone in there? And then I'm like, no, no, she wouldn't do that. It's way too late. She should be long gone. So then I, Oh, sorry. I just got like, got chills, like re remembering it. so I, but I confirmed with her the following day, I asked her what time she left and she left earlier than the time that I heard her voice in the room next door, the worst part of it all to me is that I know.
