She was one of the main people that they wanted to bring in to speak against Diddy. With her being seven months pregnant, a lot of people were worried that she wouldn't testify. She ended up testifying and she spent four days in court in May. She was telling the jury how she was forced into a marathon of freak-offs. She also dropped the ultimate betrayal bomb, which was the Dry Diaries.
Speaker 1:This is the Dry Diaries with your author, alex Dry. Hey guys, what's up? It's your author, alex Dry, and I am back with another entry of the Dry Diaries. Today I am doing a solo episode. I feel like I've only done a few solo episodes since I've launched the Dry Diaries, and so today I'm super excited to sit down with you guys one-on-one catch up and also talk about something that's going on that actually I've had a lot of people reach out and ask me about or ask me to cover on the podcast.
Speaker 1:So we're going to dive deep today into the Diddy trial and I'm going to be giving you guys the latest updates on what's happening inside the courtroom and a little bit of investigational information I've found from talking to friends who have also researched and deep dove into the subject. And then I've been following this YouTuber who has been inside the courtroom. So, basically, in the courtroom they only allow a certain amount of press and there's one YouTuber Her name is Stephanie Sue and she does a lot of things that have to do with court cases studying them, going through the transcripts and then reporting on them on her YouTube channel. So she's been inside the courtroom this whole time. The Diddy trial has been happening and recently something has come out that she told us about which is so crazy. I'm going to touch on it in a little bit, but to get started, a little life update.
Speaker 1:I feel like recently the world has been a little crazy. I don't know what's going on. If it's some full moon that's happening, some retrograde, but I mean for me personally, I just feel like my emotions have been all over the place, as in just trying to reorganize and get my shit together. So I have been cleaning out my closet, purging, getting rid of things that I no longer need or no longer serve me. If you guys don't know, I was living in LA. I had my stuff in storage for the past year or so, and I actually did that because I had always wanted to travel and experience different places, and so it just made sense, since I was going to be gone for seven months out of last year to put my stuff in storage, and so I finally got it out of storage from LA and it arrived soon.
Speaker 1:Shout out to roadway movers, literally honestly every time I move, they always help me and they actually come in, pack up your stuff. You don't have to literally raise a single finger. They pack it up, they put it in their van car and bring it to wherever you're moving, and then they also will unpack everything for you as well. I've never had a bad experience. Every time I've used them, my stuff has come back to me and pristine condition. If you're watching this, I actually just got done with a workout. So, yes, I've been organizing all my stuff.
Speaker 1:Another thing that I started implementing is I challenged myself to either do a bar or Pilates class every single day for the month of June and July. I've been a person that I do work out, but I tore my meniscus, and so I've been doing different things like frequency therapy on it. It's basically like a. I think it's like a radio frequency that they put to help mend the tissue back together, but I've never been a girl that does high intensity workouts. I did love to run and do walks but now I'm challenging myself to get back into pure bar and Pilates and honestly it's been really challenging for my knee but it's been the best thing and even in the past week and a half I can see a difference in, you know, the toning and tightening. And I love that they have the express workouts because they're 30, 40 minutes long and my ADD just can't handle a 60-70 minute class. So been loving that.
Speaker 1:And along with that is just me trying to get my shit together. So getting my stuff out of storage, organizing everything I have right now, purging and also organizing my car. I saw that Kris Jenner. She was like if your car is organized, that is a sign that you will be a successful businesswoman, which I guess two and two go together in the sense of staying organized, but whatever. So we're getting all my shit organized, organized but whatever. So we're getting all my shit organized. It just feels so much better. So that's kind of my little update.
Speaker 1:I am going to Florida for July 4th, which I'm really excited about because my best friend Alana she, is actually moving back to Australia, so it's one of her last trips before she leaves and she's just such a good time. I freaking love Australians. And then my other best friend, rachel, is coming. She's Canadian. I don't know what it is about, honestly, just the culture outside of the US. I have so many friends that I feel like aren't from the US and those are the closest ones to me. But shout out to Rachel and Alana I freaking love them. They are just the type of friends that you have around that are just so raw and authentic and yourself. And the best thing that I love about both of them is they are your biggest hype woman and whenever they're giving compliments, they genuinely mean it and they're giving it to you because that's literally what they feel inside of you, which I have definitely grown a lot and the friends I'm choosing and the people I surround myself with, and so it's just been so refreshing and amazing to have found two great friends that are just so supportive.
Speaker 1:I mean, as far as friends go like I kind of want to do another podcast about this, but, like if you guys have experienced this, I feel like, as I've gotten older, I used to be a quantity over quality person when it came to friendships, and it wasn't because I was intentionally doing it. I don't even think I realized it. But over time, especially in this last year or two, I've been really focusing on investing in the quality friendships that I do have and putting more time and effort into those. Because, honestly, how deep can you really get with 30 best friends? I mean, for me personally, I'd rather have five or six that I'm talking to on a weekly or six that I'm talking to on a weekly, daily, whatever it is basis and putting all my effort towards them, than having a massive friend group of people that you only touch base with here and there and maybe going out on weekends or whatever it may be. I guess that's just a sign of growing up. I don't know, I'm in my early 30s, 32. So that might just come with age, I guess.
Speaker 1:But yeah, it's going to be so much fun. We're going to do a little get together at a beach house in Rosemary Beach. If you guys haven't been to Rosemary Beach, I kind of explain it as I don't even know. I love it, but it's very Stepford Wives town, I would say. But it is so much fun. So that's kind of where I'm at right now in my life update purging, cleaning out everything, getting everything organized so that when my stuff does come from storage, I'm able to get everything organized, get rid of old things that I don't need anymore and then get ready for my move. So I have decided that I am going to be moving to Austin and I'm very excited for this move.
Speaker 1:A lot of people that I've told are like are you not scared? You're moving to a place by yourself, you literally know no one, and does that not worry you? And I don't know. I think, maybe because I also moved to LA and I didn't really know anybody that it doesn't per se scare me. I also have such peace about moving, which is a really good sign, and I do know a few people there. I'm lucky because one of my best guy friends actually moved there and he really does love it, and so I'm sure I can meet people through him.
Speaker 1:But then just me, being who I am, I feel like that is the great thing to do, or like that is the great thing about whenever you move to a new place. You are kind of able to start fresh and meet new people, make new friends, form new relationships, and it's not really something that I see as a scary thing, but more as a positive thing of like I do get this opportunity to do this, and I think that's a huge misconception about, you know, being in your early 30s and being single and not having kids or a family of your own is that you kind of are behind in life, whereas I think that we need to turn the narrative around and I'm sorry, like 30 is the new 25. So, with all that being said, I see it more so as a blessing, like I am able to do this, I am able to explore new places and new people and form new relationships, friendships, and so I'm really excited. I am a little sad because a lot of my friends are in LA, but luckily, because of work stuff, I am able to go back every couple months and see them and hang out with them, and so, yeah, with all that said, I've been looking at places in Austin. My struggle has been I really do want to buy a house, and so do I just plant roots and buy a house immediately, or do I rent for six months and then purchase a house? So that's my little dilemma that I'm going back and forth about right now. So I'll keep you updated on that, but if you guys have any recommendations or have any friends in Austin, let me know. Definitely want to hear them.
Speaker 1:So let's get into what this whole episode is about. If you guys are new to listening to the Dry Diaries, I'm Alex, I'm the author and host. I do a combination of things on the Dry Diaries. It's a mix of bringing my friends or different guests on, letting them open up their diary, share to you guys what's going on, as well as my life. I'm really into natural remedies, healing, pop culture, but also my main thing is I call myself a CTD, so I like to say I'm a conspiracy theorist, detective and so, with all that said, I do touch on a lot of conspiracies. Some may be woo and so out there and you may think that I'm crazy, but I mean it is fun to explore and just rant on about them, but it can put you down a rabbit hole.
Speaker 1:So with this, obviously I feel like the Diddy situation you know, years ago, when I started hearing about it started out as a quote-unquote conspiracy theory and then, as more things started coming to light, the truth started coming out and obviously, as you guys have heard, denny has been on trial for the various things he's been accused of, and a lot of people have come out over the time awaiting his trial to release different information, such as his bodyguards, jagger Wright, people who have quote-unquote freak offs, and also Cassie. So Cassie, for those who may not be familiar, if you are a millennial baby then you'll understand. She came out with the song me and you. I feel like it was everybody's ringtone for a small amount of time, whether you had, like a razor or a sliver or whatever it was. And so, yeah, she was the artist of that song.
Speaker 1:She was also Diddy's ex-girlfriend of, I believe it was like 12 or 14 years, so she started out signing under his label and then later I mean it wasn't shortly after she started forming a connection with Diddy and they started getting into relationships, and through this relationship was a lot of manipulation, and the manipulation included coercing her almost into these different freak offs or, I guess, like it wouldn't be a threesome because he was watching, but she would have to hook up with these random people that he brought in and they would do crazy things. Honestly, I hate even saying what they did, but, for example, like peeing on her and doing many different, various things. How it really came to, I feel, is. There was a hotel video released of Cassie and Diddy in the hallway of a hotel, and this video included or showed Cassie running out of the hotel room with a bag and Diddy chasing after and, honestly, basically beating the shit out of her, and with a bag and Diddy chasing after and, honestly, basically beating the shit out of her. And later it came out that Diddy's people actually went to the hotel management and paid them off to hide this video, but later on, the manager I guess he made a copy of it and it was leaked or released. This was years later, though, that it was released, and so basically, the backstory to this whole video is that Cassie was participating in some sort of freak off in the hotel room, as Diddy usually had her do, and something went awry and she got really scared. She said that basically Diddy, with her being I believe she's seven months pregnant, a lot of people were worried that she wouldn't testify.
Speaker 1:She ended up testifying and she spent four days in court in May, and she spent four days in court in May and she was telling the jury how she was forced into a marathon of freak offs, which is so crazy because her being so pregnant first off sitting there for four days, one under pressure, having to look somebody in the eye that you've had to face so much trauma with for four days straight, and then also on the side is her new husband, or her husband now baby and baby daddy, alex. That's just a lot to have to endure as someone that is so pregnant and about to pop. So I honestly couldn't even imagine doing that. But she did tell the jury. She was forced into a marathon of freak offs drug-fueled sex parties, where she was filmed against her will, even while she was on her period. She described feeling like it was her second job, which is crazy, because that alone, I mean that just explains how many times she had to go and participate in these different and various things. She also dropped the ultimate betrayal bomb, which was the hotel hallway video in 2016 where Diddy did punch her in the face the hotel video I was just talking about, and the reason why it didn't come out until this last year is because Diddy did pay off the management $100K to erase that video. Luckily, they obviously had a copy, so it was released. So, through her sitting on trial, she did talk about a lot of various things that she went through with Diddy, things that she saw and how it was a little hard to Watch or go through the paperwork of the YouTube channel that I saw Because she basically was saying how she was doing things, these different things, to earn Diddy's love and she really did love this guy and she wanted to earn, you know, his trust, I guess.
Speaker 1:So yeah, so yeah, cassie did testify. She concluded her intense four-day testimony in mid-May. Her attorney read out a statement from her husband, alex Vine. This really stood out to me because it's a testament to what Cassie has been going through, probably internally, but also her healing journey. To have to come out of that and testify against somebody that put you through that just shows how much strength and power she does have. And it was, hands down, the coolest thing to see her husband in the courtroom one because that is probably an insane experience to have being subjected to Diddy who did these horrible things to his now wife, and then also watching his wife internalize and go through her healing and the trauma that she's had to face to get to the point to sit in front of her almost abuser. I guess you could say and stand up to him and show that vulnerability and also that's a lot to expose of herself, of what she has had to do and been put through. So the attorney did read out a statement from Alex Fine, who is Cassie's now husband. From Alex Fine, who is Cassie's now husband, and honestly, any men that are listening, if more men were like this in this society then the world would just be a better place, and it shows what a stand-up guy he is.
Speaker 1:So he made it clear that Diddy did not break her spirit, nor her smile that lights up every room. She saved herself. I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for cass. I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her. You did not break the woman who has made me a better man. I did not save Cassie. Cassie saved Cassie, literally mic drop. He said they were surrounded by love, laughter and our family asking the public for privacy as they prepared to welcome their third child, which I mean naturally, yeah, as they should ask for privacy, because the fact that she had to go through that when she was so I mean one at all, but two so late in her pregnancy is probably just a crazy thing to go through, because I'm sure those court seats are so uncomfortable I could not imagine. And then the added on pressure and everything else leading up had to be crazy.
Speaker 1:Okay, so it wasn't just Cassie who did testify. There was numerous people that came out and testified against Diddy, and that included Sean Deering, who was a former escort who was involved in these freak-off parties and described it almost as something out of a nightmare, which I couldn't even imagine. Then singer Dawn Richard revealed that she saw Diddy punch and choke Cassie, and even Cassie's friend, carrie Morgan, testified that she watched Diddy drag a hanger across Cassie's neck. Okay, and then there was Jane, who was Diddy's ex from 2021 to 2024. Jane, who was Diddy's ex from 2021 to 2024.
Speaker 1:She described being stuck in her own horror story, coerced into inviting male escorts for these marathon freak offs that span for days. She said that Diddy used a love contract to control her, making her feel like she was in a cage with velvet bars, making her feel like she was in a cage with velvet bars. She broke down in court as the defense tried to spin it as consent, but the prosecution called it what it was, which was coercive control. Obviously, it's coercive control and the fact that they would even try to make it out to. That someone would voluntarily participate in these things is insane, because I feel like you have to be at a certain level of evil to put yourself in that position to willingly do it. There's also a woman who barged in last week shrieking that Diddy was mocking men, and the judge had to literally warn Diddy to stop nodding vigorously while she was testifying.
Speaker 1:And there has been a lot of things that have come out that Diddy has shown things through his face. Or he's been either very stone cold or he's been been very, I would say, precise, almost about how he has held his demeanor in the courtroom. And there has been, as of recently, some supporters that have come in and he has shown love to them. As they have mentioned, there was a point in time in the courtroom where his twins he has two girl twins they did stand up and leave the courtroom while cassie was testifying. So, all that to be said, diddy's team is scrambling. They're claiming prosecutorial misconduct, destroyed fingerprints and a mysterious balcony incident. Meanwhile, the prosecution is tying it all together, saying that this wasn't some wild hollywood scene. It was a pattern of manipulations, threats and financial dominance. Cassie and Jane stories are at the front and center and prosecutors are set to respond to the mistrial motions and we should be expecting a verdict by early July.
Speaker 1:In the meantime, like I said before, there has been set aside one or two almost pews for press to be in the courtroom. So two of the people that are covering press in the courtroom are Stephanie Sue and Sunny, which are both well-known media figures. Stephanie Sue has a YouTube where she does cover different court cases and goes through all the documentation where Sunny has been a host on the View and does media report. So they have been reporting on the trial and it's so crazy because, as I was watching and it's come out, actually both of them, at two separate times, have made this claim as of recently. The one I saw was Stephanie's, so she said that.
Speaker 1:You know, as I was saying before, diddy has kind of held his composure in the courtroom. There has been a few times where he has exposed himself, you know, either staring down the person on the stand very intensely or nodding vigorously, where the judge had to almost tell him to stop. But there was one instance where, when he was walking into the courtroom, stephanie described it as he would almost scan the room left to right, but he never really would look over to the direction of the press, and she had somebody that she brought along with her to report, so she was able to get two different views, and not just her own, to validate what she saw or what she heard. And both her and the person that she brought along both noticed this and both had written down the same things, because obviously in the courtroom you can't talk too much or too loud, and so it was really interesting because they had both noticed the same things. So when Diddy walked into the courtroom he looked directly at both of them and seemed to mouth I know you, which was a really chilling moment that added a little bit of a tense atmosphere to the courtroom. Obviously, stephanie live, from the gallery, said it felt like almost a personal message, though it might have been aimed at the entire press section. Son sunny, the co-host of the view and formal federal prosecutor, shared that. Combs stared straight at her and mouthed something very similar later, describing the trial as complex and heavy with questions about consent and control. Either way, both women emphasized that, regardless of whether Diddy's words were meant just for them or the whole press corps, it was a very stark reminder of the power dynamics that are playing out, not just in the courtroom but in the culture around this case.
Speaker 1:And, as you know, this whole trial has been about Diddy having such control over the people that he has surrounded himself with or have surrounded him. And do I think that Diddy is the ringleader of all this? Yes, do I think that there was other people that were just as dominant and had as much power around him during these things? Of course, one of them, in my personal opinion, being Jay-Z, which is really crazy because nothing has come out. And the one time that somebody did come out and say something, jay-z's clapback was very quick and he quickly denied any of the allegations. Besides that, he's been radio silent.
Speaker 1:So it is interesting to see a lot of people did say that you know, justin b coerced into doing some of these things as well. Justin's people did come out and say that in no way did he have any ties and the allegations that are against Diddy's. So will we ever know? Probably not, in my opinion. I think that it is a little strange that people that were quote unquote at the freak house have come out and said that Justin did unwillingly have to participate in these things, but I mean, either way, I do love Justin Haley and I have such love for them. I feel like people should just almost leave them alone and like let them live their lives, but it is what it is.
Speaker 1:Another crazy thing is 50 Cent is producing a docu-series around the whole scandal and I have heard that the two people in the industry who absolutely would not participate or even surround themselves at these parties the white parties with Diddy or any of his people were 50 cent and Eminem, and it was rumored that people were saying that, oh, trump's going to pardon Diddy from this and absolutely not. I don't think he is, and what I've heard is that if he did try to pardon Diddy, that 50 Cent had a lot to say about that subject. So I think it's nice to I I mean, obviously there's a lot of evil going on in this industry. But number one, it's all coming to light and number two, it is safe to say that you know there is people that are involved in the music industry as well, like 50, like Eminem, who have supposedly had no part in wanting to be a part of all of this evil shenanigans. So yeah, that's pretty much my little ditty update of what has happened.
Speaker 1:It's a little short cliff note version of the trial that's been going on. Obviously, they aren't allowed cameras in the courtroom and so we're getting this all secondhand through the press. Like I said, if you do want something more in depth, I would say go to Stephanie Sue's YouTube channel. She goes through all the transcripts and she gives you verbatim, word for word, of what's going on in the courtroom. And it was really interesting to hear the whole testimony of cassie and how it was broken down, because even through the things that she was saying, you could tell she even admitted, like she still does have love for diddy, but how she was just so manipulated and controlled by this man to the point where she did things that I feel like no human should have to go through to earn or prove somebody's love. And in all that being said, she also had a full career that stemmed around him and so if she didn't do these things, she probably thought, okay, okay, I will literally lose everything that I've worked for and her music, etc. I do want to touch on.
Speaker 1:I have been watching Love Island, which at first I really did like last season's Love Island. This season, the first couple episodes, I just wasn't into it. I wasn't really vibing with the cast that the producers picked and it took me some time to warm up to it. I'm still kind of warming up. I definitely think that for me my preference last season is better than this season. I know that they're coming off with a little spin-off of the cast from last season that comes out in July, which is super exciting. Um, but this season I don't know. There's just so many mixed reviews and things that are coming out. If you guys haven't watched it, I if you just want some reality trash guilty pleasure, it is something to watch at night. But I am really loving Alondra and Shelly. I think that they're great additions and I do love the new bombshell, hannah. I think that she's really cute. For those of you who haven't watched yet, there is a couple Huda, huda and Jeremiah, and she is a single mom, actually, come. It did come out on TikTok that she was involved in exotic dancing, which I don't know. I feel like that's a touchy subject because, like, do you really put that on blast? I feel like that's maybe something to stay private, but like also, is that even true? How do you have you know your facts to back it up. All right, guys. Well, that concludes today's entry. I hope everyone has a good rest of their week and I will see you guys next week.
Speaker 1:I am having on Sebastian Bales. If you guys haven't heard of him, he used to be very big on social media such as YouTube and TikTok. He's kind of known for like doing pranks and stuff. Honestly, he was known as being like the orange guy and that was just because his spray tans and the things that he would do and he took a break from social media and went through his own personal healing journey. I've been friends with him since I worked at TikTok. I love him. He is just such a hardworking and genuine human and I'm so proud, because he took a break from social media, he moved to Palm Springs.
Speaker 1:He's been really working again on like his healing and health journey of the things that he went through, because he went through an insane experience which is going to be airing on I believe it's July 11th on a new show with Dr Dubrow. It's almost like a botched remix where he takes on celebrities and they tell their story and their horror plastic surgery journeys or something that they've experienced where it's went wrong, where they need to get a revision or correction of something. So Sebastian's going to be on that show along with some other people, like Aubrey O'Day which is so crazy because you know that ties them with the trial but Aubrey and Brielle Bierman, kim Zosiak, and so I'm excited to watch it because I feel like the cast is really interesting. I also just love Dr Dubrow.
Speaker 1:I think that obviously the work that he does is incredible, but also just as a person and things I've heard. So, yes, I'm going to be having Sebastian on. He's going to be touching a little bit on the show before it's released early July and he gives his take on the show and the journey that he went through, and so I'm super excited for that. So don't forget to tune in to next week's entry and I will see you guys soon. Bye.
