Hello, and welcome to No Gray Suits, the podcast. It's a bit random, sometimes super practical, sometimes plain old entertainment.
Microphone (Yeti Orb):Hello. And welcome back to No Grey Suits I'm your host Anastasia. And today I wanted to cover off a topic that a lot of friends, a lot of business friends have asked me along the way. And that is. We want to make reels for our business. We want to be able to jump on camera and impart our knowledge to our audience or get them to know like, and trust us. But with no idea what to say. There's actually a really, really easy way. To or, a couple of really, really easy ways. To get together a list of content, ideas of things that you could jump online and talk about. It's very similar to how we used to sort of think around blog posts or social content. A similar kind of thinking. What questions have you been asked this week about your business? See what I just did there. It's exactly how I came up with the topic for this episode. What questions have your audience? Been asking you. This week, every time one of your audience asks you a question. Not just, you know, how much does it cost, but every time they ask you a question, which gives you the opportunity to answer with your area of expertise and showing off what, you know, Jot that question down. That right there. Is your idea for content? Then. Think it through. Plan out. All the different answers that you might have, depending on the different types of people that your audience might have. So, you know, your answer might be different for. Your colleagues versus your clients. Might be different for different types of clients. Say you're a financial planning business. You know, you might have the same question around, you know, how does financial planning work and what's it all about for somebody who is coming up to retirement stage and is, is doing their retirement planning or their exits strategy planning versus, somebody in their accumulation phase who is, you know, young saving money, trying to work out what to invest in. You'll have a few different answers to the same question, depending on which audience you're tailoring. That allows you to elaborate. It gives you a little bit more to talk about. And it means that what could potentially be just a quick, One minute answer or 30 second answer. You could then even split up into two or three different different reels. So, What does the financial planner do for. Somebody in their twenties. Who is looking at making the most of their savings. Or what can a financial planner do for somebody who's looking at transitioning into retirement? So think of the questions that you've been asked recently. Jot them all down. Make notes in your phone. I've got a notes. I've got, um, a. Samsung phones, sorry. I'm not sure what the equivalent on apple is, but I have a notes app, which is also synced to my computer. Uh, which I just jot everything down in. I swear my entire life is in that. But one thing that I am quite good at jotting down constantly on noting down. Is. Any questions that I'm asked that I get a chance to answer using all of the random knowledge in my head. And all of the different subjects that are related to what I do day in, day out. That's one way of coming up with content. That's one way of coming up with a list of things that you can cherry pick depending on the week, depending on what's trending, depending on what you feel like talking about. Another way is to go to Google, open up. Am I it's better off in an incognito window or a private window so that your previous search history isn't impacting it. Just go to a normal Google page. Google search bar. And typing a keyword. That is related to your industry. And then just hit space and see what comes up. That is what people are searching for. Now, if any of that. Is a question. So I might type in reels for business spacebar. And the suggestions that dropped down might be reels for business, how to come up with ideas, which is what I'm doing now. Or it might be reels for business. What equipment do I need? There's another topic. So go to Google type in key words of things related to the subjects. For your business. Have a look at what it comes up in the dropdown. Because that is exactly what people are searching for another good one is answer the public. Uh, so answer the public. Uh, for free. I think you can use it if you log in on a free account. I think you can use it three times a day. Uh, and you can actually see what questions people are asking. It gives you some cool little graphics. And it tells you related questions, how people are phrasing their questions as well. So you can start to really get into answering the questions, you know, the how's and the why's. And you can start to really understand your audience and therefore tailor your content to that audience. So another way of doing it is just ask your audience. If you've got a decent social media following, or if you've got a decent email. Um, subscriber list. Ask them. Put it simply, I am planning some upcoming content. What do you want to know? Throw me your questions. What do you want answered? I see a lot of people in the content creation game using this one. And I love it because you're actually hearing from people. What they want to know. You're not just doing the research and trying to work out what you think they want to know, but you're asking them. Not only that when you start to actually come back and say, you know, these are the answers to my latest, ask me anything. People who answered you will be listening to see if their question is featured. In your answers? Not necessarily because they really want the answer to their question. But because it makes them feel really good that you're actually you pink. There's how calls that. Sorry. Three different ways of coming up with content when you're considering putting some reels together for your business. They're one write down every related question that you get asked through the week, then you can split that up into the different audience segments that you might have and give yourself even more content to Speak about. Number two. Go to Google. And see what people are searching for, or answer the public and say what people are searching for a number three. Ask your audience feature their questions. Make them feel loved. You're also building your community and loyalty there. So I hope that helped. I hope that's given you a couple of ideas on filming some reels and I hope you get one or two reels done for your business this week to help your online presence look amazing to help your audience. Get to know you. And to attract the audience and the clients that you actually love to work with. So take care. If you do need any other tips or any more help jump onto my website.
