Speaker 1:

Hello, good morning. I'm Regina Sworn. Welcome back to another episode of Regina Sworn Audio Series Presents. Right away, I'd like to say thank you to all who supports this podcast, give you a place that you can contact me Contact me at swornretina at gmailcom and thank you to all who support this podcast, either through sharing or supporting it monthly. I truly appreciate you.

Speaker 1:

Now I want to talk briefly about propaganda, but I don't want to focus on that, because my focus is going to be again on my peace. What am I doing to stay peaceful in these quote troubled times? I can look back 15 years ago and the same thing that I did 15, 20 years ago. I use the same thing today. Psalms 91 is still a favorite of mine. I'll put it like this, because I'm choosing my words very carefully. I don't feel any different than I did four months ago. In other words, I'm not letting myself.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people are saying I'm feeling sad, I'm feeling this, I'm feeling that, and I guess my question would be why are you allowing yourself to feel that way? Why? Why? When I said the other day that I choose to. If I'm going to watch something on television, I'm going to check out the weather, I'm going to watch a couple of old movies. You know, some people looked at that as a form of thumbing your nose, I guess, for lack of a better term. Why? Why? Because I choose not to get myself entangled in all of these little fires that's going up. I choose to keep peace. It's what you allow. You can allow your peace to be taken from you, or you could say okay, I want to keep my peace, I want my peace, I need my peace. And people cannot understand why I am peaceful in these times, in these, as they say, troubled times. We are living in troubled times regardless, but I know the Lord has given me peace that surpasses all understanding and a lot of people cannot understand that. That's because that is what I choose, that's because that's what I want.

Speaker 1:

My new year started March 7th, march 8th. Every year it's my new year, but only this year I want to step further by claiming my peace and keeping my peace. By claiming my peace and keeping my peace no-transcript, because some of you don't believe in the Bible. That's your choice. Well, my choice is I do believe in the Bible and if I do believe in the Bible, then I apply it to my everyday life. I am peaceful in these quote unquote troubled times that you say are so bad.

Speaker 1:

I'm peaceful because I choose peace, I want peace, I want to be peaceful and therefore I entertain peace and that's why I am at a peaceful place in my life. I'm not saying that around me there's not turmoil, but I don't let it invade my space. When I see, when people if I'm in a room and people are speaking about everything that's going on right now the politics, this, this, this and if they started talking about all of the things that's going on, you know what I'd do? I'd get up and walk out Because I'm not going to let your turmoil I'm going to put it that way because it's what you allow. See, if you allow to be at an unpeaceful place right now, then that's you. But I'm peaceful right now, a peace that no one can understand. But because I know that whom I serve, the Lord, whom I serve, who gives me peace, then that's what matters to me right now.

Speaker 1:

So all of this other stuff. Again, if I'm in a room and people start suddenly talking about all of this stuff going on, I'm not going to sit there and listen to all that stuff. If I'm sitting in a room and I'm having my lunch or breakfast or whatever, and someone just suddenly starts talking about all the things that's going on in the news and they start talking about it. You know what I'm going to do I'm going to pick up my little lunch, walk out, walk to another area. If I have to sit outside by myself, if I have to sit in another area by myself, because I'm not going to allow you to invade my space with all of this stuff that's going on, because why I'm at a peaceful place in my life.

Speaker 1:

So when people tell me that they're feeling, I don't know what to say about people. It's what you is what you allow. I guess If you allow your peace to be invaded, then it's going to be invaded, but I am not going to let anything come between me and my peace. And my new year started March 7th, as it every year, but only this year, stronger, like never before. So all of this propaganda, all of this stuff that's going on right now, I don't want to look and say I care less, but I will look and say this. As far as this, I'll say this I care less of letting it bother me, I'm not going to let it into my life. So, like I said the other day, it doesn't make me a popular person because I choose not to discuss these things. At the end of the day, does it make you feel better that you've discussed all these things and you're talking and looking at all these things online? Does it make you feel better? No, it makes you feel worse, along with all the other things you got going on in your life.

Speaker 1:

I choose peace, I allow peace in my life and I'm going to be around peaceful people. If you're at peace, then that's when I know that we're on the same boat. We're in the same boat. I'm peaceful, you're peaceful. But when you're at ease and it's like a yo-yo, not like a yo-yo like a seesaw going up and down, no, like a wave on the sea. No, my peace is still relevant. I'm still peaceful, more so right now.

Speaker 1:

I'm at peace because I believe. I believe in the Lord I serve and the Lord gives me that peace. Believe in the Lord, I serve and the Lord gives me that peace. And I will not let any negativity come in between that peace, because go check out some of my past podcasts, if you will Sour Lemons, for instance.

Speaker 1:

People are going to find stuff to complain about. I don't care what they're going to be complaining. You ask people good morning, how are you here? And I know a lot of you've heard people say that before. Maybe you've said it yourself here, and I take that opportunity to say, yes, you are here. What a blessing it is to be here, especially if you're in your right mind, if you've got your health, your strength, you've got a roof over your head. I mean, there's so many reasons to celebrate being here Instead of all the negativity.

Speaker 1:

I will not repeat, I will not entertain negativity. I mean that Anybody want to come around me with negative stuff. I don't even entertain, like I said, a lot of the news and stuff. I don't entertain it. It's either one way or the other way. One way or the other way, I choose to just.

Speaker 1:

I love 94 songs. That's my favorite, well, one of my favorites. I choose to just. I love 94 Psalms. That's my favorite, well, one of my favorites. And that's where I get my peace from, a peace that surpasses all of man's, woman's, boy, girl understanding. So when people can look at you and you're just happy and you seem happy, well, why is she so happy? Well, it's because I choose not, chose not to let anything negative take away my peace. And I love that 91st Psalm of David.

Speaker 1:

And again, it's for those who believe in your Bible, because if you don't believe in the Bible then, like I say, you shouldn't even be listening to this podcast anyway. But for those of you who do, then that explains my piece. See, it's what you bring into your life. I'll go a step further and say it's what you allow. If you allow people to come around you discussing all of these things, as if you are discussing all this stuff and even some of the Christians I can't even be around some of them. I cannot even be around some of them because they want to debate this and debate that. I'm not going to do that. My peace matters to me. I love my peace. I love this place that I'm in right now and it's a spot that I'm going to continue this peace beyond to me, because it's what I'm allowing in my own life. I will not allow negativity.

Speaker 1:

So if you want to discuss something, then you will certainly have to go and discuss it elsewhere. Now, we could be on the same table. We could be on the same. We could be, we could agree. Hey, well we could be on the same, we could agree, but at the same time I still don't want to discuss anything because I'm at a peaceful place, so I prefer to say 94-some. That would be the only discussion I would have with you if you wanted to discuss something with me.

Speaker 1:

Not the propaganda, not all of these things that's going on. No, because at the end of the day, as long as you're happy, I'm happy. If you're happy with yourself discussing all of these things and yet you've still got a frown face, you're still mad at the world, then that's on you. But at the end of my day, if I don't discuss any of these things and I'm still happy, then that lets me know I'm doing something right. So I mean, I'm just not wasting my time. I'm not wasting my time. I'm not wasting my time. There's so many more things that I'm concerned with talking about so many. I mean I'm at a good, pretty decent place in my life right now. So why don't I discuss that? Because, if you will notice, if you are, whenever a person come around you and they got their head hanging is upbeat, then you tend to take that on as well. So that's why I don't allow certain things into my space and I never will again.

Speaker 1:

I choose peace. I am peaceful. Go somewhere else with all the negative talk, because go somewhere else with all the propaganda, okay. So I said that I watch the weather, I watch certain things on television. I don't watch everything on television and, yes, I do like those old movies, I do like things on TV, certain things. I like stuff like that and that's what makes me happy.

Speaker 1:

You have to choose your piece. If talking about all the propaganda and just going on in the news makes you happy and at the end of the day you're still mad at the world, then hey, there goes your peace. But I cannot judge you on that, because that's what you want for yourself. But as for me, as for me, I choose peace. The joy of the Lord is my strength, he's my strength, he gives me joy, peace, peace of mind, and I will not let anybody or anything invade that peace.

Speaker 1:

I'm Regina Swern. Thank you so much for listening to my pop-up bonus. I think I'm beginning to think that the pop-up bonus podcasts are probably just as good as the regular topics, because I'm speaking of current events in my life and you notice, I say in my life because I can't speak for everybody, I can only speak for me. But the next time you see me walking down that hall and you're walking in and I'm bouncing and I'm humming a song in my heart, I think I'll be trying to say, well, how can I get me some of that? Thank you for those who support this podcast. I appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Speaker 1:

Contact me at swornretina at gmailcom, and I'm going to leave one more time with you. It's what you allow into your space. If you allow all the negativity, the propaganda, the news, the bad news, the good news, the bad news, whatever you allow into your space, that's what's going to take up the majority of your mind and it all starts right here in that mind. That's all I got to say. Have a great Monday. I hope you're staying safe and talk to you soon. Bye.
