Regina Swarn Audio Series Presents

Life is a Vapor

Regina Swarn Season 7 Episode 15

Fan Mail

What if today was your last? Would the grudges you're holding still matter? Would the arguments you've had seem important? Would the anger burning inside you be worth carrying into eternity?

Death waits for no one, yet we live as if we have forever. In this raw, vulnerable episode, I share profound reflections on mortality and how recognizing life's brevity changes everything. Like vapor from our breath, our time here vanishes in moments—yet we waste years nursing resentments and dwelling in anger.

I reveal a conversation with someone who'd been estranged from their child for sixteen years, seemingly unconcerned about reconciliation before death. This stark contrast highlights our strange human tendency to prioritize being right over being at peace. The episode explores how modern media feeds our anxiety and anger, keeping us trapped in cycles of outrage and fear. I offer practical wisdom for stepping away from the noise to rediscover your center.

Most touchingly, I share my personal strategy when facing aggression or frustration—how tears become prayers for restraint, asking God to shield me from returning to old patterns of reactivity. This isn't weakness but profound spiritual strength.

Whether you're struggling with forgiveness, battling constant anxiety from world events, or simply feeling overwhelmed by others' negativity, this episode provides a gentle but urgent reminder that peace begins with letting go. Turn off the noise, release the grudges, and practice love today—because tomorrow is promised to no one.

I also would like to take a moment to give you a place to contact me. Contact me at swornretina at gmailcom. I'm going to turn my light down a little bit. Yeah, I want to talk about death and being grateful.

Speaker 1:

Life is too short, guys. If you can only see life, it's like a vapor. Have you ever seen a vapor? Only see life is like a vapor. Have you ever seen a vapor? I'll say just blow a little smoke. I don't smoke, but I'm just thinking of just a little smoke. Do that, take your mouth and do that right quick, like you're blowing something. That's what life is. It is a vapor. It's so short, but yet we live this life as if we're going to be here forever. We live this life. We mistreat people, we hold grudges for months, for years, in some cases, we get mad at one another. And life, just like I said, just take a quick, just do this. It's a vapor. It's just like that. It's a vapor, it's just like that. It's gone. Some people live a long time. My old life was, to me, 80, 90, some people over 100. And some people are gone, teenagers or younger or younger. This podcast is to encourage you, not to put anybody down, but to encourage you To do the right thing. To practice love, forgiveness, because this life can be gone. To practice love, forgiveness, because this life can be gone so quickly. This life is a vapor, but eternity is forever.

Speaker 1:

It kind of scares me to speak like this or to talk like this, but sometimes I have to to get people to understand the point, to get it across very clearly, because I see so much. I see. A man told me one time that he had been mad with one of his kids for years. I'm not talking a couple of days or a couple of months, I'm talking years. And when I asked him how long, he said oh, it's been over 16 years. And I asked him, just like I'm saying right now. I asked him. I said but don't you think about if you die and you die with that in your heart? He just simply said no, I don't care. But for those who do care, life is a vapor and, just like that, your life can be gone.

Speaker 1:

Love, practice love. Less talking, less talking, less talking love. But practice love. See, it's an action word. Love is an action word that's not often practiced From the lips but not from the heart.

Speaker 1:

Death, death is real. Death can come at any moment, and I know you don't like these type podcasts, but I was led by the Lord to speak about this and I'm physically trembling right now because I feel cold chills all over me. Now, because I feel cold chills all over me, it is time to let go and let God. It is time to let go the madness. It is time to let go the grudges. It is time to let go of that bag biting and the talking. It is time to get it right. Get your life right, get your house in order Before it's too late.

Speaker 1:

Debt Like a vapor. Guys, go look up vapor. Vapor is just like a little like a what I just did, like a vapor. That's how short life is, and yet we go on like we're going to live forever, planning and doing all that stuff. Yes, that is good, but surely there is something in this life that you got to do you got to die. Everybody must die.

Speaker 1:

I know this is not a popular podcast right now. Guys, I know some of you probably won't even listen to this because you don't want to hear this, but this is to kind of set you in order to get your lives, in order to let go and let God take control of your life and please get rid of the bitterness and the anger and the madness and the backbiting and the talking about one another. Get rid of that, because surely you can't enter into God's kingdom with all of that in your heart. My heart breaks right now. It breaks now. It breaks Because, as I say, I see people and I talk to people and I see some people are so full of rage and anger, people are so mad and full of rage and anger and they like to say it's because of this and it's because of that and because of that. Go back and listen to my podcast about the propaganda and about holding your peace and keeping your peace the 91st Psalm. Please go back and listen to that podcast and understand where my peace comes from.

Speaker 1:

Sure, I can be like everybody else right there, glued in front of the television and the news Online, tiktok and YouTube and all these different social media sites, looking at all of this stuff. That's nothing but propaganda to keep you upset, to keep you worried and to keep you worried and to keep you angry. Yet you keep doing it and it's making you sick. You can't feel good about yourself. You've got to feel. It's a I'm scared kind of feeling going on. I'm scared. People are scared and afraid and mad, filled with anger, and they want to blame somebody.

Speaker 1:

But instead of taking all of that energy being angry, being mad, why don't you pray, ask God to give you peace? Because if you got peace, I don't care what's going on around you, I don't care what's on the television, I don't care what's on the news, I don't care what's on the radio, I don't care what's on TikTok, my God, I don't care. If you got peace in this heart, right here, right here my heart, I got peace in this heart, right here, right here my heart, I got peace. So everything around me, I can't even. It's like I'm covered in it. It's like I'm offenses around me, around my thought, around my mind, to keep me shield from all of this propaganda, from all of this talking, from all of this news, from all of these events, from everything that's going on, from people talking from people getting mad.

Speaker 1:

Even when I go to work, people are angry. Even friends they're angry, mad. People are angry and mad and scared Because they fail To really really pray and get to know the Lord. They don't want to do that. That's hard to do, but it's very easy. You'd rather be mad by looking at all this stuff on television, by looking at all these things on TikTok.

Speaker 1:

Y'all say TikTok Because it's the one that everybody go to and everybody got something to say. And even the Christians are right there, glued right there in front of it, looking at it and watching it. Oh my God, guys, please listen to me. I know everybody's not going to listen to this podcast. They don't want to listen to it. But for those who will turn off the TV, get away from TikTok and all these social media sites.

Speaker 1:

If you're going to look at that stuff, look at something that's uplifting. Listen to something that's uplifting, that's going to uplift your spirit. Do something that's going to uplift your spirit. Do something that's going to uplift your spirit Instead of getting around here in the crowd gossiping, talking, worrying about the current events, worrying about the world what's going on in the world? Glued to the television, watching the news. Get away from it and I promise you, if you do that, you are going to feel better. I guarantee you that. I dare you to do that and watch yourself feel better. Why? Because you got away from it. You didn't let people come around you talking about all that stuff. You avoid it. You didn't let people come around you talking about all that stuff. You avoid it. Sometimes it's hard to avoid people who are angry, but if you pray I have to do this every day because I run into people who are so mad around me that work around me, even friends and stuff.

Speaker 1:

You talk to them on the phone and they're angry. So I have to pray, guys. I have to pray over my day, every day, and sometimes, if I'm at work or wherever I am and people do stupid stuff, sometimes I'll cry. You know why I cry. I don't cry because it's a sign of weakness. I cry because when I'm crying, I'm praying. God, help me to hold my peace. Don't let me react to this foolishness, because if I don't cry and be praying in my heart, I will act out. I will curse somebody out, probably yeah, I probably will. I will probably do something that's out of character, that's not God-like, so I like staying to myself. So what if I cry, sometimes on the job or wherever? I'm not weak, baby, it's not a sign of weakness.

Speaker 1:

When I cry, it's in praying to the Lord at that moment to shield me from blessing somebody out, from getting into an argument, from doing stupid things. Guys, I used to have a temper, and if you say something to me, I used to say it right. And if you say something to me, I used to say it right back to you Ten times worse, I used to curse like a sailor. So when I go to work, I pray, and if you ever see me crying, I'm on the job. If you ever see me crying in public, it's because I'm praying to God. God, please, please, shield me. Don't let me say something wrong. Don't let me overreact to this stupidity that someone just did. Please, god shield me. Don't let me start cursing anybody out. God shield me. I have to pray. This is not easy for me, guys. People come at me all the time and I have to stay prayed up. And, yes, if I ever cry in public, on the job or anywhere, that's only because I'm again praying to the Lord that he don't let me act out and act stupid or foolish like other people do. Out and act stupid or foolish like other people do, because this is a time, a serious time. Death can come at any time. Our life is like vapor. Some live to be in their teens, some go on to live to their 100 or better, but death is always still waiting. Get rid of that hatred and grudges and malice and anger and talking about other people. Get rid of that and practice love.
