Finding Stillness: The Healing Power of Rest and Self-Care

Regina Swarn Season 7 Episode 30

Fan Mail

Stillness isn't just a luxury—it's medicine for your body and soul. When illness strikes and stress mounts, our natural tendency to push through works against our healing. I'm speaking directly tonight to those feeling pulled in too many directions while battling physical ailments.

Your body communicates through symptoms, quietly begging for what it needs most: rest without travel, space without demands, and stillness without apology. I share from my heart about the spiritual burden I carry for someone close who needs this message desperately. The visions I've received have troubled me deeply, and I can no longer stay silent.

Beyond physical rest, we must guard our peace fiercely. The constant bombardment of negative news and toxic gossip doesn't just affect our mood—it infiltrates our spirit. Not everyone wearing a smile carries good intentions, and not everyone claiming love actually demonstrates it. I've witnessed the aftermath of misplaced trust, including the tragic story of Chris Arsenault from Happy Cat Sanctuary.

When you're the primary giver—financially, emotionally, or otherwise—in relationships or organizations, you must evaluate whether this imbalance serves your wellbeing. True partnership divides both burden and blessing. Your intuition speaks wisdom; learn to listen before exhaustion forces you to. Your health depends on courage to prioritize yourself.

Speaker 1:

Hey there, welcome back to another bonus pop-up yes, I said it, another bonus pop-up of Regina Soren Audio Series Presents. I'd like to go ahead and thank all of those of you who support this podcast monthly, those who like and share and those who also listen. I'd like to give you a place to contact me. Contact me at swornregina at gmailcom. I just want tonight and tonight is Thursday I want to just give a few encouraging words or bring a few encouraging words. I know a lot of my podcasts. Sometimes they're oh God, they're straight to the point, they are straight from the heart. I should say All of them are straight from the heart. I should say All of them are straight from the heart. But some I get really emotionally attached to so I really dive into it very deeply. Tonight the same, but just on a very calmer manner. Manner this little topic, or should I just say the encouraging words that I'm going to share with you. I will definitely do a full podcast in the coming weeks about stress. I'm going to speak about that. I've already spoke in the past, things that can relax you. If you haven't heard the calming effect, you need to go listen to that, and that was just my way of kind of putting your mind into a relaxing kind of a mode. You know, speaking smoothly with my voice. One of the things I do Sitting on my patio. I love to sit out here. It's a little. It's not cold, it's not hot, it's somewhere in between kind of muggy, if you want to know the truth. So maybe I should have stayed in the house, but I wanted to come out here some. I got one of these things over my patio, that where you let everything down. So at night I just let the shades down, or if there's a lot of sun in the daytime, I let the shade down. I have the shades let down right now, with the light very dim, on Very little small light, you know, like a nightlight a little bit. As I sit here, I just want to encourage somebody out there, because I know a lot of you listens to my podcast. I want to encourage you of two things, two things tonight I'm going to focus specifically on. Those two things are stress.

Speaker 1:

If you are feeling ill. If you are ill, if you are sick, if you have things going on with your body, sometimes you need to decompress. The ways of decompression or how can you decompress is to be still. I mean, don't do any traveling, don't do anything, just relax, relax. Because when you got stuff going on with your body whenever you travel, that takes a bit away from the relaxation. And sometimes, when you got things going on with your body, say, if you're sick in any kind of way, you need to stay put, relax, heal. And you cannot do that if you're running everywhere, going to Dufro, here, here, here, here, point A to point B, c, d, e, f, g, every alphabet. You got to relax If you are feeling sick and you got something going on in your body, if you don't take the time to rest, no traveling.

Speaker 1:

I know some of you out there, some of my listeners are travelers. Some of you got businesses where you got to travel, you got to go on the road, you got to do a lot of things, but you got to also have a healthy body. If you are trying to travel, if you're trying to do all these things and you're not fully, I don't want to say well, but if you're not fully stress-free, I'm going to use that instead. If you're not stress-free and you're traveling and you're doing all these things, if you can at all stay put, you will start to get better if you stay put. If you got things going on in your body and I tell people this all the time, at least I try to advise them. You can't just tell people anything, but I can advise them If you got anything going on in your body, any ailment, any sickness, you need to just lay low, literally lay low, relax, guys, relax, because I'm gonna tell you right now.

Speaker 1:

If you got stuff going on in your body and it's an ailment of some sort and you are here there and then you also got stress going on, my heart is breaking right now because I'm picking up, my spirit is picking up someone who is under a whole lot of stress. I got in mind who it is, but I'm going to keep it to myself. But they're under a whole lot of stress and they're trying to be here, there, everywhere. Sometimes you have to rest yourself. You have to rest, come aside and rest. Even the Lord did that. You have to do that.

Speaker 1:

You cannot be all these different places when you got things going on in your life, in your body. You have to decompress and the best way to decompress trust is to just be, still, be, still, stay put, get better, because going here, there everywhere, traveling, doing all these things, and you're not fully stress-free, you're going to mess around and you're going to be out of here. I'm telling you, out of here. I'm telling you now, please, my spirit tonight is picking up some things. That doesn't sit too well with me. It doesn't sit well at all. It doesn't at all. But for you out there, who I? I'm not particularly talking about any particular bodies, but for you out there, let's say, somebody out there, maybe you're listening to this and you are a person that's trying to do too much.

Speaker 1:

Just take a day, take some time to relax, and in some cases it takes longer than that, because if you've got an element in your body, you don't need to be doing anything but resting, resting, resting. I am picking up in my spirit, also in vision. I don't pick up anything unless I have a vision as well. I don't pick up anything unless I've had a vision as well. So I was picking up something concerning a very dear loved one of mine and my spirit is troubled, troubled, troubled, troubled. You got to rest. You got to rest from everything. I mean when I say come aside and rest. Sometimes you got to just rest and not In the phone. You have to rest. Sometimes you have to rest conversations. Sometimes you have to rest If that conversation is not one that's going to uplift your spirit.

Speaker 1:

That's why I tell people don't sit there glued in front of your television watching the propaganda on the news. Don't do that. Yes, we need to know what's going on in the news, say the local news. You need to know what's going on in your neighborhood. But don't sit there and just look at it, just I mean from point a to point b. Even at work they got this television thing set on um the news many times up on one of the floors where I take my break and I I just walk out, because if I walk in there and they got the news on, then I'm not going to stay. People sit there and they absorb this stuff, and sometimes they're taking care of sick people. You don't need to be absorbing all of this propaganda garbage. You don't need to be doing that. But who am I to tell people that? I can only tell people that when they ask me, how do you keep peace, how do you keep peace in your heart, and then I tell them that's when I then raise my hand over here.

Speaker 1:

I don't feed into all of that stuff that's going on in the news. I don't feed into all of that stuff. I don't feed into gossip when people want to gossip about other people. I don't feed into gossip when people want to gossip about other people. I don't feed into it because when you are around people who are gossiping and talking about other people, don't dare be a part of it.

Speaker 1:

But even if you're just listening to it, it tends to drag you down. It drags you, it takes a hold of you because of the good person that you are, of the upstanding person that you are. When you listen to people who are dragging other people or talking about other people, because of the good person that you are, of the upstanding person that you are, when you listen to people who are dragging other people or talking about other people, it drags you down to a certain extent. That's why I don't allow any negativity, gossip or anything like that around me. I can't stand that. I can't stand it and I won't allow it or stand it. I won't let it into my space because each and every one of us got a space.

Speaker 1:

So it's what you allow, your peace again. It's what you allow if you want to be miserable by watching the news 24 7. Tell me how much peace you got after you. Sit there and watch that news all day, every day, 24-7. How much peace do you have? But my spirit is heavy on someone or ones who I had a vision about some things and it disturbed me greatly and it disturbed me greatly. So if you got something going on in your natural body, this body that the Lord made, you need to relax guys. You need to chill out. You don't need to be going everywhere, all over this place, you need to be resting. I am troubled right now. My spirit is troubled to. I don't know how to tell this person this, but I'm going to have to.

Speaker 1:

My ministry is not like a lot of people. They preach and they're really great at that. Under God's anointing you can be whatever the Lord wants you to be. But I was told years ago my mom called me a little prophet. I don't agree with that, but that was her assessment of what she thought I was. I think I was, I thought I was over my life and that's that was her opinion and that's fine. That's my mom, you know. But my pastor told me years ago. She said your ministry may not be what your sister ministry is or what your brother ministry is or what mine is or what your ministry is, those visions and dreams that you have.

Speaker 1:

And so sometimes when I see things, I'm so scared to approach a person about it because then I'm like, oh my god, they're not gonna want to hear me. But look, at least I would feel better if I've told them. Say, if I hadn't ever told my brother the woman that he was living with murdered him in a dream, if I had never said that, I would be very, very upset at myself. Right now I feel very guilty, but my spirit is troubled about some things that I did see. It's ongoing for a couple of years and there's an end game to this dream. I don't know how to approach the person as a family member. I don't know how to approach them to tell them what I did see, because people sometimes they. Laura was the main person that would hear these dreams and take them very seriously. There are some who will listen, but she listened and she would ask me right until the end what did you see, what did you dream?

Speaker 1:

And I'm not a prophet, I'm not a prophetess, I don't know that. I am that. So I don't go around saying that I am and I'm not a psychic. But these abilities that God has blessed me to, this gift, I really I thank God for it. It's a gift to me. I thank God that I'm humble enough about it, that I don't, you know, put these titles on myself.

Speaker 1:

But if you've got some illness going on in your body, you need to take time for yourself. Relax. Going on in your body, you need to take time for yourself, relax. I hate to say be selfish, but sometimes there's nothing wrong with being a little bit selfish, if that's what you want to call it. You need to take time for yourself and relax. Old saying let go, let God Relax yourself. You don't need to be doing all these things because you got something going on Now.

Speaker 1:

My spirit wasn't as troubled until I had this vision and somehow, someway, I'm going to have to tell this person I'm going to have to Now, they need to rest how this part's in. I'm going to have to, they need to rest, they need to rest, rest. I know you guys get tired of me talking about all the stuff that's going on in the news and you need to kind of stay away from all of that you really, really do, and I just want to come on tonight to just give a few words of encouragement. Just a few words of encouragement. I'm speaking to you right now. I don't even know how I'm making this podcast right now because, again, my spirit is so troubled about some things that I saw.

Speaker 1:

But just relax y'all. Just watch your surroundings. Everybody that smells in your face, they're not your friend. Everybody that says they love you, they don't love you. Everybody that says they love you, they don't love you. You got to really know people that you associate yourself with. You know my heart is broken about this tragedy that just happened in Long Island with the Happy Cat Sanctuary, with the owner, chris Arsenault, losing his life. That has troubled me like nothing nothing else has in a very, very long time.

Speaker 1:

And then when I see the vision, it's like it's after the fact. I can't warn the man that hey, don't do this, don't trust this set of people or don't. I can't say that Sometimes you really think you've got people vetted and you've got volunteers, you've got this. Sometimes you think that you really think you want to think good of people, but sometimes that could be the downfall, the end game to everything. I'm not saying too much of the vision, I don't want to go into that, but you have to watch your surroundings. Sometimes people will do things and they'll set things up or they'll set you up, and you have to be careful. And sometimes, when you are in the public, it's so easy to align yourself with the wrong people Because you're trying to make a difference and you're doing something very good.

Speaker 1:

But everybody's intentions are not always good. Everybody's intentions are not always good. Everybody's intentions are not always good. Sometimes there's jealousy, or a good bit of the times there's jealousy Hidden behind a mask, hidden behind a veil. But you've got to watch your surroundings in situations where people, where you are the giver, the biggest giver, and say I'm going to use an organization because I have spoken on that before, whereas you the the main breadwinner of that organization.

Speaker 1:

That should not be. Everybody should put forth their best effort. It should go half half, half half. If it's four people there, then four people should split it right down the middle. It shouldn't be just one person doing everything. It not only drain your finances, keep you without, but it also causes a lot of stress. Some people will use you until they completely can't use you anymore. And when they can't use you anymore, then that's only because you're either very, very sick or you're not here anymore. You're either very, very sick or you're not here anymore. So just be careful, very careful of the people who you align yourself with, your surroundings. And if you're with an organization and you're putting everything in the organization, I'm going to say slam the brakes on it ASAP, because it's taking everything that you got, all of your resources, you're putting everything in in and it's not truly appreciated. Because if a person you notice, if a person pays for something out of their own pocket, if they're putting forth the most everything, then they have more love for what it is that they're doing. But sometimes, when other people are doing it, it's not as much gratefulness there. So just be careful of who you align yourself with.

Speaker 1:

You're listening to this podcast tonight. Be careful, be careful. I just want to come on and speak a few words of, hopefully, wisdom, knowledge and encouragement. I don't like to do it when my spirit is troubled, but at the same time, I think this podcast helped someone tonight. So I'm grateful that you took the time to just even listen.
