Live Interview Recording ✨️

Regina Swarn Season 7 Episode 39

Fan Mail

Sometimes the smallest nudges change our life's direction completely. When I nearly abandoned my podcast in 2020, it was my sister Lora's deathbed encouragement that kept me going. Fast forward to today—612 episodes later—and I'm preparing to launch an exciting new interview series focusing on stories that usually go unheard.

My first guest will be Jerry Hayes from Rescue Cat Georgia, the remarkable woman who connected me with almost all my feline family members. We'll be discussing senior pet adoption and why older cats like my nine-year-old Braxton deserve loving forever homes. As anyone who works the overnight "graveyard shift" knows, having a furry friend waiting at the door when you return home makes all the difference in the world. These senior animals may not be the cute kittens that everyone gravitates toward in shelters, but they bring immeasurable joy and companionship.

This marks a new direction for my podcast—more live interviews, more diverse voices, more authentic conversations. Whether in person or over the phone, I'm committed to sharing stories that matter. If you have a story worth telling, don't hesitate to reach out at swarnregina@gmail.com. And to listeners like Stephen Paul who've supported me since the early 2000s, thank you for being part of this journey. Even sharing an episode expands our community more than you know. Stay tuned for these upcoming interviews—they're going to be worth your time.

A message from me to all my wonderful  followers.  Please  feel free to share your feedback. Click fan mail and leave me comments.

Speaker 1:

Hey there, happy Sunday. Um, no, it's Monday. Oh god, I get my days mixed up, guys, because you know I work overnight. So you know people that work overnight the graveyard shift they call it that for a reason. So, yeah, I sometimes get my days mixed up, sorry about that. So, yeah, I sometimes get my days mixed up, sorry about that. Happy Monday, hope all is well with everyone. I'm Regina Swern. Welcome back to another short, very short episode of Regina Swern Audio Series Presents.

Speaker 1:

As you all know, in one of my last podcasts, I spoke about doing some on-location live interviews with different individuals. Yay, and now some of those interviews are going to be over the phone, Many of them may be live and in person and they're going to be audio. You know audio versions, which is something I enjoy, because some people don't care about being on versions, which is something I enjoy because some people don't care about being on showing their faces and all that. That's fine, I'm good with that, I'm okay with that, but to bring them, bring their story, is what I want. That's most important to me. And a little bit about my audio series. I started it back in 2020 with the uh of my sister, laura, my late, beautiful, wonderful sister Laura, who encouraged me as I was about to give up. She said, please don't give up. And because of her on her deathbed, practically saying don't give up, I continued doing the podcast, the audio series. Thank God I did and today I have recorded over 612 podcasts. No, I'm not a Joe Rogan. I love Joe, but I'm not a Joe Rogan. But I do reach a great amount of people with my podcast. So I do have some great.

Speaker 1:

I got the okay on some live interviews that I will be conducting this week, this week coming up. Yes, you heard me. Guys, I'm going to tell the story of Jerry. Hayes is going to let me interview her. She's a really great lady. I mean, she is one of the people, one of the main people, of the rescue cat here in Georgia and I have gotten all of my cats except for one from Jerry and from the rescue cat here in Georgia. So she's a great lady.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to interview her about my lady's addition, braxton, and we're going to be speaking about the importance of adopting an older cat or giving it consideration in adopting an older cat or dog or whatever, because a lot of times we go in, people go in and they see the cute little kitties, they inquire about the cute younger cats, but the older cats they need homes too, and Braxton is almost nine. But I'm so happy that I adopted him because he's been a great addition to my family. I love this guy. He's so amazing, he's so sweet. I look forward when I get home in the morning and you look forward. He meet me at the door, you know, and he's so happy to see me. I'm so happy to see him.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, I got some great live interviews coming up, and one of those first live interviews is going to be with my friend, jerry hayes from rescue cat I think that's the name of it, if I'm not correct in that, we'll get that straight in time, don't worry. But I will be doing live interviews, a lot more live interviews, this month, next month, and you will see more. You will hear more live interviews. If you are interested in being a part of an interview or would you like me to interview you, you can always contact me at swornretina at gmailcom. Please don't be shy, don't be shy.

Speaker 1:

He worked with a lot of my pictures and things of that nature.

Speaker 1:

So thank you, steve. He's been a friend now for, oh God, way back in the 2000s. I think we first met each other back in 2003 or something like that, four or five or something. It was before my dad died. I remember that. So thank you, steve. And if you don't support the podcast, even if you're not a monthly supporter, it would be nice if you'd share them.
