Regina Swarn Audio Series Presents

Regina Swarn Season 7 Episode 46

Fan Mail

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes of a truly authentic podcast? Regina Swarn  pulls back the curtain in this heartfelt thank-you episode following her popular interview with Jerri Clay Hays from Rescue Cats Incorporated.

Regina celebrates the overwhelming positive response to Jerri's valuable insights for pet owners, announcing an upcoming second interview that will tackle the challenging but necessary topic of humane euthanasia. "I used to be so scared to do that because I'd say 'I'd kill my cat'," Regina confesses, highlighting the emotional complexities many pet owners face when making end-of-life decisions.

While reflecting on her podcasting philosophy, Regina makes a powerful case for authenticity over perfection. "I like the realness of my podcast. I like it real and raw," she explains, embracing background noises and unscripted moments that other podcasters might edit out. This commitment to genuine conversation extends to her diverse guest selection, featuring voices from all walks of life—from rescue workers to ministers, musicians to breast cancer survivors. Each interview becomes what Regina calls a "testimony," regardless of the subject matter.

Looking ahead, Regina teases exciting upcoming conversations with Brother Antonio Ford from Soldiers for Christ ministry and breast cancer survivors who are ready to share their journeys. With each diverse interview, Regina reinforces her core belief: "You cannot please everyone... so the best thing to do is to just try to go forth and do the best that you can in what you're passionate about." Speaker 1:

Hello there, I'm Regina Soren. Welcome back to Regina Soren Audio Series Presents. This is a little podcast to say thank you for those who came out on Friday for me to interview the wonderful, amazing Miss Cherry Hayes, the coordinator of Rescue Cats Incorporated in Fayetteville, georgia. We do have a part two that we're going to do and I'm excited to say that Friday we spoke. Sherry gave so much valuable information to the audience, to the public. It was just so valuable and the emails that I received. I'm going to start posting some of the emails, like people need to see this. But I want to say, right, quickly, feel free to fan mail to put your comments there because they show up over at the podcast website, at Buzzsprout. But I'm telling you, jerry gave so many. She just spit out so many great gems over the other day, so many great things that if you are a cat lover or a dog lover, she gave a lot of good information. So I'm so happy that live you came out and was a part of that. I want to thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for the downloads, thank you for just the support. You know I know some people might say, well, I don't like cats. You know I mean a lot of people don't, but a lot of people do, and whether you do or don't maybe you're a dog lover, you know so it's about loving the animals, you know. So I learned a long time ago you cannot please everyone. You never ever could be able to please everyone. So the best thing to do is to just try to go forth and do the best that you can and what you're passionate about, and I'm so thankful that Jerry was able to share in part one, give out some great knowledge to my audience. So I just wanted to come on this morning and say thank you, thank you so much, to come on this morning and say thank you, thank you so much.

Speaker 1:

I do have some wonderful, wonderful interviews coming up from musicians. We do have musicians, but my podcast is not just about musicians. I want to say that it's always been from people from all walks of life. It's not just in the music world, and I have to say that over and over again because people Sometimes, when I'm interviewing people, then they come back the next week to be someone else of a different passion, have a different passion, different genre or whatever. So I talk to people from all walks of life and, as I was saying in my podcast the other day, and as Jerry was saying before we started our interview, she said I really love your podcast because it is real, you know, and it is, guys, I'm not worried about.

Speaker 1:

Like the other day, I wanted people to hear cats sing and people talking in the background. I wanted that, you know, in my podcast, I want the extra, the little extra, to show people that, yeah, this is real. Sure, I think, look, I could do anything I want to do If I want to be in a studio recording a podcast, if I want to be in my home with the finest technology, if I want to do that, guys, don't you know, I could do it if that's what I want. But I like the realness of my podcast. I like it real and raw, and a lot of people may not agree with that. I mean, you can listen to it, great, if you don't want to. There's so many other people to listen to. But for the people who follow me, I thank you because you are the ones who are meant to be there, meant to be there the whole time. So thank you for joining us the other day.

Speaker 1:

I do have a part two with Sherry and we're going to focus on something that a lot of people are very interested in about when they put their cat or their dog or their animal down and I know, a long time ago I used to be so scared to do that because I'd say I'd kill my cat. I don't want to kill my. Euthanasia is the humane way to do it and, jerry, we're going to focus. That's going to be one of the things that we focus on in our next, in our part two. So, be on the lookout, be on the lookout.

Speaker 1:

Um and again going forward, I got some good um brother, antonio Ford. He has his own ministry now, soldiers for Christ, and I want to speak with him. I really do. I want to have an interview with him, I want to talk with him. He's a great supporter of mine, you know, and I want to, you know, give back and support him as well, and so I want to speak with him. We're going to do a part one and part two that is coming up in July. I have some great things coming in July, but I do have something else coming up in June, but I want to throw that in there. I also have some other people that I just sign on to speak with me. So I'm really excited about it.

Speaker 1:

So didn't want to let this go too long. I just wanted to come on and say thank you to all who support this podcast. Uh, whether it's monthly or whether you share it, whether you leave comments or whatever, I appreciate that so much. And oh, I forgot to say I will be talking to some breast cancer survivors. You know I look at that as a testimony because so many people is dealing with that, you know, with cancer in general, and I just want to talk to people that has been through that and I know a lot of people don't want to relive that or talk about that, and one person even told me I don't want to relive that, I don't want to bring that back up, and that's understandable. I didn't knock to bring that back up, and that's understandable. I didn't knock her for that.

Speaker 1:

But there are people who say, yes, I want to do this, I want to talk about it. I want to give my testimony Because when you're talking to my audience, it's a testimony. When you're talking about that time in your life or what you're going through, it's a testimony, whatever your field is, whether it's music, whether it is being a teacher, I mean whatever it is, you're given a testimony of sorts when you speak to my audience on the podcast. So I truly thank you. Thank you, thank you so much. So I do have a lot of people that I'm going to be talking to going forward, so I just wanted to say that Come on this morning to say that. Hope everyone is well. Once again, I thank you all so much for supporting Regina Soren Audio Series Presents over the years. I can say that Series Presents over the years.
