A dangerous flu wave is moving fast, and we’re cutting through the noise with straight talk and simple steps that actually help. No fearmongering. No lectures. Just a warm, candid reminder that caution is a form of love—and that pairing faith with common sense keeps more people well.

We open with the core message: watch comes before prayer. That doesn’t diminish belief; it strengthens it. We share real moments from everyday life—like seeing someone open a bag of chips in the store before washing their hands—and use them to illustrate how germs travel and how easy it is to tighten our routines. You’ll hear practical advice on when to wear a mask, how to handle food safely on the go, and what to do if you don’t have sanitizer handy. We lean on simple habits: wash for 20 seconds, carry a small sanitizer, wait to eat until you can clean your hands, and mask up in crowded lines or if you feel a tickle in your throat.

There’s a deeper layer too: the pressure many workers face to show up sick. We talk about a cashier powering through the flu because missed shifts mean missed rent, and why that’s not just unfair—it’s unsafe for everyone in the store. Personal responsibility matters, but so do policies like paid sick leave and managers who back people staying home to recover. When workplaces make the right call, they protect teams, customers, and the wider community.

The heart of our message is simple: prevention is not panic. It’s kindness. It’s looking out for your family, your neighbors, and the stranger behind you in line. Take the reminder with you—wash your hands before you eat, wear a mask when illness is circulating, and stay home when you’re sick. If this resonated, subscribe, share this episode with someone you care about, and leave a quick review telling us the one habit you’ll commit to this flu season.

New Year Check-In & Purpose

SPEAKER_00

Hello everyone, I'm Regina Swarina. How are you? How is everybody doing? I do hope you're having a wonderful start to your new year. My new year is going quite well. I cannot complain. Cannot complain. Ah. I wanted to bring you this very special podcast for a very, very special reason. It's kind of like a public service announcement. Yeah, I know you either like those or you hate them. I don't know if you either you love them or you hate them. Anyways, I'm gonna bring it to you. Anyway, listen everyone, there is a very strong, dangerous food strand like taking the nation, taking the world practically right now, and is not to be scared or afraid or or say that you know I it's not gonna bother me. I got the world. You know, some people have met I I I talked to a lady last night and I was telling her because she didn't wash her hands. You know, she she she opened up a bag of potato chips, just fresh off the thing, opened up a bag, started eating the potato chip chips without washing her hands, and I said and then that gave me the opportunity to tell her that there's a very dangerous flu strand out there. It's hard to get me, seriously, but I caught it in time. But be cautious, wash your hands, wear your mask when you go out, protect yourself. You know, this is not about who got the most faith, who can pray the most. I know some people have met with me. I've had people say, Well, I'm not worried about it. I got the Lord, the Lord has got me covered. Okay, that I He got me covered too. What do you who do you think I am? Chopped liver? I'm covered as well. I'm not even worried about that part. But what I am talking about, this is a public service announcement for you just to be cautious and careful. There is nothing wrong with that. Watch comes before prayer. And I'm just letting people know about it. If you buy food, you go in the store and you pick up a bag of cookies or chips or something. Well, if you don't have a sanitizer to sanitize your hands with, then wait till you get to a place where you can wash your hands. Don't just open that up and start eating. Yes, of course, always say your grace. I'm not talking about that. People want to come back to me with God's word, but you cannot win because again, watch comes before prayer. And you're just being cautious, and it's nothing wrong with that. Nothing. I'm not telling people not to have faith. Oh my god, that's even more reason to have faith is to protect yourself, protect your family, protect your kids, and it can happen if you do the right things. So many people are down with that stuff right now. So many people are working. If you are sick, stay home. And I know a lot of jobs don't allow the people to stay home, but that's not fair. If they're sick, they need to be home. They don't need to be out in the public spreading the germs around. I was in the line just now at a very popular store, and the lady was so sick, and I asked her, and had my mask and everything on, I had protected myself, and I said, Are you okay? She said, I got the flu. She said, but I cannot afford to take off any more days because and I was like, oh my god. So I know it sounds bad what I'm gonna say, but I got out of that line, but she didn't know I got out of it. I didn't be rude to her, I was very nice to her. But I did say, I hope you feel better, and I just said that's so bad that you can't be home right now getting well. That's the thing that people are here, they're out and they're spreading these germs all over the place. And that's how this stuff is going around. And it's also going around by people, as I said, you go in the store and you pick up a bag of chips and you just go right to eating them instead of washing your hands, practicing safe precaution measures. I'm Regina Swear, and I'm not here to combat anyone or to go toe-to-toe with anyone with prayer. You know, I got God and God got me, and I know He do. But this is a public service announcement for those who want to listen. Those who don't, you don't have to, but it's just for those that want to. Thanks for listening.
