I also open up about the deeper reason I kept this show alive: my late sister Lora. When she was very ill, she told me not to give the podcast up, even if things didn’t start perfectly. I carry those words with me as both grief and guidance, and I talk honestly about how her love still pushes me forward. Hello, I'm Regina Sworn. Welcome back to another little short episode of Regina Sworn Audio Series Presents. Listen, last week, last Sunday, my guest, uh Pastor Tammy Watson, just totally really just lit up the entire podcast. It was so amazing. You know, uh looking at the downloads and and and checking the downloads, because that's how I know when a um podcast is doing well and the guest is performed quite well. I was checking the downloads and I'm like, oh my god, this is so amazing. So amazing. I was so happy to have her on the podcast and and have her tell her story. Oh my god. It's just listening to her story just put it put more faith into me. It gave me more hope. And she was just so beautiful about it. The things that God gave her to say in the podcast on last Sunday, April 26th. Um, the things that God had her saying were just what the audience needed. And I'm gonna say thank you again to that young lady who will also be back this Sunday. This Sunday, I want you guys to be ready for her this Sunday because last week was amazing, and God's willing, we got her again next week, back to back, one Sunday to the next Sunday. That is so awesome. That's so amazing. Um, I'm so excited right now. I can't I can't hold my composure. But God is so good, He's really truly blessed my podcast. I I I know Laura is is is resting with the Lord, but I feel somewhere alongside of me, she's just saying, Yay, yay, my sister didn't give up the podcast. She continued like I asked her to do. Because it was Laura who told me, like, Gina, don't give the podcast up. Don't do it, don't stop, keep it going. And sometimes things are not gonna go perfect when you start something, you gotta give it a little time, and then once you give it a little time, is then it pick up, and you'd be surprised if you don't give up. Just don't stop. Keep going. And I'm so thankful. I always have to thank my sister Laura for that. I love her, I miss her, my partner, my singing sister. I miss her so much, but I'm so thankful to God that I listened to her on her um, I hate to say on her deathbed when she was very ill, she said, Tina, don't don't give it up, don't give it up. So I'm thankful. I'm thankful. I have to always let people know that is the reason that I didn't stop because of her words saying don't give it up. Don't. She could see a lot of people can see what a great um blessing you are or you're going to be. And a lot of people will hold you back. They won't they won't say go for it, do it. Because a lot of people sometimes are jealous of you. But Laura and I, we we one thing about us, we weren't jealous of one another. We loved each other very much. I always had the best in my heart for her, and she always had the best in her heart for me, and so she could see what I couldn't see, and she could see this right now. My podcast has been called one of the most influential podcasts. Not the most went through went through, one of the most. Did I say that right? Influential. So I'm so thankful that God blessed it. You know, sometimes this those days are gone where I'm begging friends and begging family members because I like to give them an opportunity to be a part of this. I want I want them to be a part of this, and but some of them have said yes and been a part of the podcast, and some um said no, unsubscribe from me and everything. But you know what? It's not gonna always be the people that you know that's going to be the ones that that recognize that light or that support that light. I think they recognize the light, but they're not gonna always be the ones that 100% support it. God put people in place just for the moment. God has put people in place just for this moment in my life for that podcast, and I'm so so thankful to God. I'm so thankful to God for blessing this podcast. You know, I am um, as I was saying, running people down. Come on, be on the podcast. Don't you want to do the podcast? Hey, be you know, going grabbing after the coattails of uh of family members and friends. I have a a a a childhood friend whom I love dearly, you know, but and she told me one day I'm gonna I want to do it, I want to do it, I wanna and but when it when it came time to really doing it, because I'm serious, guys, I'm not joking with this thing. I am serious. When it came time to do it, and she can I use the word dodged? This woman she did everything she could to to to get away. And then instead of just saying no, I I can't do it or no, I don't want to do it, I'm a bit girl. I can I can I can take no for an answer. So, anyways, it's not going to always be family, it's not gonna always be friends who is going to be in your corner, who is going to lift help lift you up. It's gonna be those people out there who don't quote unquote know you, who just discovering you for the first time. That's who's going to that's who God has blessed me to um to to lift up this podcast, believe it or not. Now, I didn't say all family members uh wasn't for me because I I got a lot of family members who support it. My nieces are beautifully, they support it beautifully, my brothers, they support it beautifully, and of a few people that call themselves friends, they support it. But people that think they know you, those are the people that you have to just say, okay, I love you, but I'm gonna stay focused, I'm gonna stay steer clear of these types of those types of people, and just go forth because you are going to be blessed if you don't give up. And I'm so glad. I'm so glad that I didn't give this podcast up. I'm so glad. People are writing me left and right to be a part of this podcast, and uh you know, I don't want to cry. I'm sorry, hold on a second. I'm so sorry. I received so many emails, and and my team, we receive so many emails of people who are uh interested in being a part of this podcast, you know. And as I told you, those days are gone of running people down and uh be on my podcast. You want to be on my podcast, and those days are gone, you know. If if I talk to someone and say I would like to have you on the podcast, and they spend the whole 10-15 minutes telling me why they are not worthy to be on the podcast, then bye, go. I mean, I don't need that, I don't want that negativity. So I have moved forward, I am going forward. I am not looking back, I'm not looking in my rearview mirror, I am looking forward and going forward, and in doing so, God has truly, truly blessed this podcast. So all the ones who uh what were subscribed to me, and the only reason I like when people subscribe is because that just lets you know when I got a new podcast out, you know. But um, for all those people that and they were family members, and you know, and that did hurt me. That did hurt me at the time, but when I look back, I'm like, God, you are so good, you are so amazing how you are taking little me, my little podcast, and you're sitting it out right there in the center of all of these other great big podcasts, and you are blessing it and people can see that, strangers can see that. Thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people can see that. And I thank God, I thank God, I give God the praises, I give God the honor, I give God my glory. Because it's God lift him up. If I be lifted up, lifting up the Lord, he is the one that that would do all the drawing.
