You don’t need a new voice, a new persona, or a trend to chase, you need the courage to stay yourself. I’m coming to you from vacation with a short, honest check-in and a preview of my latest reel project, “Give Me 15,” debuting on Friday. People ask me all the time what makes my Reels and my podcast feel fun and different, and my answer is simple: I refuse to copy anyone else. The more real you are, the more people feel it.

I also share a lesson from my radio days when someone pushed me to change my voice to sound deeper. I tried and it didn’t work, because it wasn’t me. That’s why I keep my show audio only and why I’m comfortable being more in the background now. Some listeners even say my soft voice makes them want to sleep, and I explain how I’ve learned to reframe that kind of feedback. Calm is not a flaw, and rest is not a failure.

From there I talk about vacation life: resting first, working a little, and keeping my routines simple. I touch on food and mindful eating too, including why I don’t like labels, why I’ve avoided meat products since 2001, and how I usually stick to one meal a day or smaller meals without overeating. I close with gratitude for your support, a reminder to be safe, and why prayer and faith stay with me wherever I go.

If this speaks to you, listen all the way through, then subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a confidence reset, and leave a review. What helps you stay authentic when the world tells you to change?

Vacation Welcome And New Reel

SPEAKER_00

Hey there, I'm Regina Sworn. Welcome back to another episode of Regina Sworn Audio series presents. I decided to do that. I am on vacation right now. But um thought I'd just bring you a little podcast while I am on vacation. I'm about to debut my latest reels. The name of the reels would would be called the latest reel would be called Give Me 15. Now I think I spoke a little bit about that in my last podcast. And uh yeah, I'm gonna debut that on Friday. So I hope you guys can enjoy that, relax and listen, and you know, just let me know what you think. You can contact me at swornregina at gmail.com and always visit. Feel free to visit my official website, Regina Sworn.com, www. w.regina sworn.com Yeah. You know the question that people ask me a lot. Um a lot of people want to know what makes your reels in your podcast so much fun. What makes them different? I'll have to say what makes them different is um I'll tell everybody just be yourself, you know. Don't try to copy anybody else, don't try to sound like anybody else. Um, you know, when I first started my podcast, I wasn't so sure that I could do it because when I was doing radio um a little bit over 10 years ago, um the guy I was working with at the time just wanted me to kind of change my voice, you know, to make myself sound like, you know, like you just want to have a deeper voice, you know, and and I tried to do that and I failed miserably. I'll have to say what make my podcasts unique and different is because I try to be myself, you know. Um don't want to be like nobody else because you can only be who you are. So my advice to you is to be yourself, you know, and when you're making reels, just feel good, you know, be yourself. All of my podcasts are audio only. Um there are there were times people said, Why do you do audio only? Well, once upon a time I was the ham. Meaning I was just out front. Take my picture. You know, I wanted to be just out front, wanted to be seen. What was it 10 years ago, 15 years ago? Oh my god, I'm totally changed. I'm more in the background now. I like being in the background. What makes my reels and my podcasts different is being myself. That's my advice to you. Be yourself, don't let anybody try to change you. Because the moment someone changes you, that's when you're going to you go down at that point. You you just won't be the same because you're not yourself. So try to stick to being authentic, the authentic you as much as possible, and whenever you're yourself and you're being real and being yourself, people can uh resonate with that a lot better, you know. And and a lot of people tell me this, so but you know, I love listening to your voice, soft, sweet, and hey, it you might be tired. You know, some people say, Well, I listen to your podcast, and sometimes it just makes me just want to go to sleep and relax. Wonderful, great. Maybe you're tired. Maybe you need to rest, you know. I don't pay that any attention when people say that because a lot of times when they say it, I think they're trying to snub at me a little bit sometimes when they say that, but that's to bother me because this podcast has gotten so big. God has blessed it to just so many people with downloads and thousands and thousands of people listen to my podcast, and my reels are organic reels that receive hundreds of thousands of views, and I got a few reels out there that's over a million, two million, three million views, and so that's why I say be yourself because when you are yourself, you go a long way when you're being yourself, and so that's what anything you do, just make it authentic. Because when you're authentic, don't change for somebody else because somebody else said you need to do it a certain way or be a certain way, yeah. Just stick with stick with the originality because when you stick with the originality, you cannot go wrong. So I do believe that you will enjoy my latest spin-off, Give Me 15. Um, and that will debut on Friday. So, what do you think of my vacation? People are saying, Oh, well, are you enjoying your vacation, your getaway? What do you do on vacation? Basically, I'm supposed to be resting, right? And I pretty much am resting. I'm resting, but I try to squeeze a little work in there too. So I'm resting and working, working and resting, but mostly resting, you know. Mostly resting. And having a great time. Having a great time. And I think one of the questions someone wants to know, so when you go on vacation, what's your diet like? Because everybody knows I'm vegan. Um, I hate to say I'm vegan. I hate saying that because it sounds like uh I I I just don't like the title, you know. Um no, I don't eat meat. I don't eat meat products. I don't, you know, since 2001. So but I don't like saying I'm vegan, I'm vegan. It seems like a a trend now that's everybody's picked up on, you know. But when I'm on vacation or or even around the holidays, I just stick to when I eat, I eat like basically stick to one meal a day. I know a lot of people say that's crazy, but one meal a day, and if I eat two meals, is normally I eat a little bit. I know some people say I'm stuffed, I can't eat anymore. I can't do that, guys. When I eat, I eat until I'm satisfied. Doesn't mean that I'm so full I'm about to pop. No. I eat just enough till I'm satisfied, and then if I want some more, then I go back and eat a little bit more. And I've I've been doing that for a very long time. Since I was a teenager, maybe since I was a since I was a kid, you know. Everybody would say you eat like a bird. You know, people still say that. But it's because I never believe in overeating. Eating to your your your soul your stomach is so stuffed that you're sick. I don't do that. I just eat enough to let's get me until I'm satisfied. When I feel myself about to overeat, I I stop immediately. And again, I mostly do one meal a day. Basically, one meal a day is good enough for me. But whenever I do two meals, I just try to just you know not not eat a whole lot. So that's that. Alright, Gina Sworn. Um my vacation podcast. I want to thank you guys again for supporting me. Supporting my podcast means so much to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much. Um, thank you. I think that's it. I'm gonna go back now. It's almost 10 minutes that I've um talked to you, so yes, I'm enjoying my vacation and just having a great time. Giving God all the praise. I'll say whenever you go on vacation, wherever you go, whatever you do, always take the Lord with you. And I have to have God with me everywhere I go, everywhere, don't care where it is. I like knowing that God is with me. I feel the safety of God with me everywhere I go, everywhere. And I always I always say this. Always get up every single day and I say a word of prayer. If I'm not on vacation and I'm at work or whatever, I try to pray, keep a prayer in my heart throughout the shift. Always gotta put God first in my life. I can't speak for other people, but I have to put God first because he means everything to me. So I have to put the Lord first. Thank you all so much again.
