A new show is on the way, and it’s built for real life, not perfect life. We’re launching “Give Me 15 with Regina Swarn,” a solo podcast where each conversation is 15 minutes or less and focused on the everyday stuff that quietly shapes your health, your money, your home, and your mindset. For the next couple of weeks, we’re also doing a big promotion push across social media, podcasts, and radio so you’ll know exactly where to find it when it drops in June.

We talk through the heart of the format and the kind of topics you can expect: practical personal finance questions like “Do I need that or do I want that?”, saving for a rainy day, and making choices that protect your peace when times are hard. We also get honest about cleanliness and why a clean environment can feel like a sanctuary, plus the everyday habits people debate like heavy cologne, overpowering perfume, and overdoing it in ways that affect everyone around you.

Then we go deeper into mindset and spiritual life: jealousy, comparing seasons, gratitude, and how constant complaining can keep you stuck. We share why we avoid negative talk like “I’m broke,” why forgiveness matters even when people are messy online, and why we stay committed to audio-only podcasting because we love that radio feel. We also honor the people who kept us going, including Lora, and name grief as one of the real-life topics we’ll speak on with care.

If you want short, honest, relatable conversations about relationships, healthy living, money mindset, and personal growth, subscribe now, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find Give Me 15. What everyday topic do you want us to tackle first?

Welcome And New Show Announcement

SPEAKER_00

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of Retina Sworn Audio Series Presents. Thank you so much for always coming out to listen to my podcast. I truly appreciate that. For the next couple of weeks, I am going to be heavily- Can I say heavily? Is that a word? I guess. I'm going to be promoting the new podcast, which is called Give Me 15. I'm going to be promoting that very, very heavily across the social media. I'm going to be promoting it uh through podcasts. I have different friends who are going to be promoting it on their podcasts, on their radio shows, and it's going to be getting a whole lot of promotion the next couple of weeks because uh it's going to start in June. And um it's going to be the first uh first Saturday. I don't have the date in front of me, but I know it's going to be in June, like

What Give Me 15 Is

SPEAKER_00

the second Saturday in June or something like that. But I'm truly excited about it because Give Me 15 is a solo podcast. It's where I'm speaking about different things in life, you know. Um my audio series is when I interview other people or hear the stories of other people, uh, and things like that. But give me 15 is just that 50's gonna be 15 minutes or less, but it's great to be talking about the different things in life, you know, things like just different things that happen in a person's life, you know. You'll you'll know things like okay, let me let me give you like an example, like saving for a rainy day, you know. Um, and I got one topic I wanted to talk about in an episode called, Do I need that? You know, because I was talking about getting myself a brand new truck not too long ago. But I I thought about it, I had to really think about it. Times are so hard. Do I need that or do I want that? To want something and to need it are totally two different things. So I thought about it. I'm like, no, I have transportation, I'm okay. And so it's things like that that I'm going to be speaking about, like everyday things that happen in one's life, not just my life, but other people's lives. You know, I I like getting stories of other people and and like talking about them. So a lot of times people love hearing the things I have to speak on.

Need Versus Want With Money

SPEAKER_00

So that's why Give Me 15 is a new podcast that's going to focus basically on just your regular everyday life matters. I could say that. Some of the other things I'm going to talk about is is is um healthy living and uh relationships. It's gonna be similar to to my uh my other podcast, but it's going to focus on the topic I speak on. It's gonna focus on that topic. And again, it's like 15 minutes or less. So I'm really excited to bring you that because I don't know, it's just something new. It's something new that I've been thinking about for a while. I didn't know if I wanted to go into radio and start doing radio again, and then also have my other podcast. I didn't know if I wanted to have a radio show, and I thought about it, and I I I said, no, I don't think I want to do radio again because it takes a lot to do radio. You gotta plan shows, put music together, and you know, I didn't want to just focus on that. So, but this idea right here, give me 15, I'm super, super excited to bring you that new podcast show, and it's called Give Me 15 with Regina Sorin. That's the way that's the way you say it. So in the next couple of weeks, I'm going to be promoting posters and and again podcasts and friends of mine. I have a friend who's uh a super, super DJ, big time radio station. He's gonna be talking about it on his uh radio show, and other friends who have radio stations and radio shows are going to be speaking about it, and other people who got podcasts who are friends of mine are going to be speaking about my new podcast, Give Me 15, as well. And so I'm really excited about it, you know. Um the posters I'm gonna post up is basically gonna be fun posters, and I had one poster that I pretty much turned down. You know, it had the lady with the arms up, like, what is that? Um I didn't want to go with that poster because you know this is a very serious podcast,

Why Cleanliness Matters At Home

SPEAKER_00

so and I'm sure when people hear it the first episode, they would be able to relate to it. I want to talk another topic I want to speak on is cleanliness. A lot of people tell me, you're just too clean, you're just too clean. And that could be true. There's nothing wrong with being clean. I don't think I'm overly, you know, clean, but I I like a neat house. You know, some people's houses you walk in, you cannot walk in that house without running into something and busting your kneecap. I mean, seriously. So I like walking into clean places, clean houses, you know, not a house with clothes all over the place and a sink full of dishes, um trash running over. I don't I just don't like that. And sometimes people, they would invite me over for this or that, and I I don't go back over to their houses because it's a mess. If you walk in there, it don't smell clean, it don't smell fresh. And who am I to judge people? But I can judge myself. I can just say, okay, I'm just gonna hang out in my car or stay at the door or whatever, and not talk badly about them because I went over to I went over to this one lady house and I love her. I really think she's a great person, but I went over to her house and and we were talking, having a conversation, and there goes a bug crawling up the wall. I'm like, oh my god. And I know she was embarrassed, I know it embarrassed her, and I tried to play it off like it shouldn't bother me, but it did bother me. And I and I I got in my car when I got back to my car, I was thinking, oh my god, the reason the bug feels so excited being there because the garbage is running over what trash did sink sometimes, dishes in the sink. If you got a sink full of dirty dishes, just just go ahead and wash these things up. Don't have the sink. A lot of people say I'm just gonna let that soak soak. Get those dishes washed, whether it's a husband doing it, a wife or child or whatever, get that stuff out of the way, and then you won't have to worry about those little critters crawling around your house. So, but again, who am I to tell people what to do in their own home? I'm just I just know that when people come to my house or my apartment, sometimes they are or they walk through, they're almost scared because it's like it's too clean in here. And I want them to feel that way because I like a clean house, I like a clean environment, I like a clean car, I like that, and it's absolutely nothing wrong with that to have a place where it is peaceful there. It's like your sanctuary, you want it clean, and so that's why I do like a clean house, you know. So this is one of the things I'm gonna talk about and give me 15. I'm gonna have different subjects again, different topics that I'm gonna be speaking about, and definitely that would be one of them: a clean environment. And clean and keeping your body clean, of course. You know, I I like clean,

Too Much Cologne And Self-Care

SPEAKER_00

keeping myself clean as well. Wearing too much cologne. That's another topic I'm gonna be speaking about. Um, because sometimes at work I I get off the elevator, and a person that's been on the elevator with me, they get off, and you can still smell that strong cologne. You know, it's just I think sometimes people can go a little bit overboard with some of the things that they that they do, like perfume, heavy perfumes, uh, too much makeup. I mean, just these are just things I'm gonna speak about. And I know that a lot of people may not agree with all of them, but it's not to judge anybody, it's speaking about my own life, you know, the things that I like. When people come over to my house or my environment, they say, boy, it is so clean in there. And it's not to embarrass anybody, it's not to make you feel bad. It's just hopefully when people come to my house or come to my establishment or come to my office or wherever, when they come there to look and say, boy, it is so clean in here. It smells clean, not just look clean, but smell clean. And the only way it can smell clean is it's gotta be really clean. You know, people know I have cats, but let me tell you, those cats are clean, man. They are clean too. So I keep a clean environment. So it's just different things that I'm going to be speaking on, excuse me, and give me 15. It's just certain different things I want to talk about, you know, and that's just a few of them. I'm gonna be talking about stuff like adoption, adopting pets, and um, you know, things like that. So I got a lot, a lot I want to talk about. So I hope you join me for that. But for the next two weeks, I am going to be promoting that new podcast show. I'm gonna be promoting it pretty heavy. So if you see Regina, give me 15 with Regina Sworn, you see that here, there, everywhere. Yeah, it is something I'm

Jealousy, Blessings, And Gratitude

SPEAKER_00

gonna be doing. So I'm really excited. Um, everything is not for you. Apart on one person's blessings, that's their blessing. God has his time for blessing you. So I'm gonna speak on jealousy. That's another thing I'm going to talk about. Don't look at another person and say, boy, she gets blessed all the time. She got everything. Uh maybe it's that person's season to be blessed. Maybe it's their time to get blessed. So yeah, don't don't don't criticize that because that falls up under jealousy. You know, a lot of times people would will look at the things I have and they say, boy, she she got everything, she got it made. I don't think people really know what I have gone through, the things I have been through over my life. My life has history to it, and I've gone through a lot of things and I'm still going through things. God has blessed me, but the way God will continue to bless a person is when you thank him for the little things. When you give God praises for what you got, what he has already given you, he gives you more. And that's why the Lord continues to bless me. Not walking around with a long face and say, oh boy, these gas prices are ridiculous. And they are, they are, but I thank God for giving me ways to buy gas, giving me ways to do things, you know, because where there is life, where there is good health and strength, there is hope. Don't ever forget that. There's hope. If you're living and you're in your right mind, you got health, you got your strength, that is a blessing. But people are so busy complaining. The devil is busy. The devil one lady said one to me one day, she said, you know, the devil is busy. And I you know what I told her, I say he's busy, but God is busy too. Why can't God be busy too? I guess he's not busy because he's still gonna do what he's gonna do, but the devil is so busy because you spend all of your time giving praises to the devil because you are praising the devil when you start complaining. I have to catch myself sometimes not to be in the company of people who complain so much. Complain about the boss, complain about the work, complain about I don't have money, complain about broke. Don't ever say I'm broke. If you say that, you're gonna stay broke. You may not have everything that you want to have or would like to have. Say it like that, but don't say I'm broke. Because the moment you say you're broke, check this out. You are going to be broke, ladies and gentlemen,

Stop Saying You’re Broke

SPEAKER_00

and you're gonna stay broke. I don't like that word, I'm broke. I don't like the word when people say they're gonna cut people off. You know, I've had I got people in my life who are relatives who've been just so mean, some of them say some mean things to me, you know, and but not at once come and apologize. But I can't hold that against them because if they come right now and say, Gina, I talked to you so rudely, I was so rude, I would forgive them. They're already forgiven. But don't try to get on Facebook or or social media and and jump into my my timeline and and like all of my posts, knowing that you haven't asked for forgiveness. The Bible even says if you got something in your heart, you go to that person first, make it right with them, and then of course, make it right with God. That is the God way to do it. You know, there's so many topics I want to speak about in the new show. Give me 15. I'm really excited about it. I'm gonna do a major poster for it. Uh, right now I'm just putting out a couple of posters here and there, a little um ads, or not ads, but just little things letting people know I would definitely have a new podcast coming out, guys, coming out, because God has strongly blessed my other podcasts. I mean, he

Forgiveness, Faith, And Making Things Right

SPEAKER_00

has blessed it. Regina Sworn Audio Series used to be called Regina Sworn in the Zone. And then I changed it to Regina Swaren Audio Series, and then I thought it's the Regina Sworn Audio Series presents. Now, had I given up in the beginning, because I had totally threw my hands up in the air, but I will forever thank God for my sister, my late great best friend Laura. I thank God for her because if it wasn't for her, I would have given up. You know, and that's how life is sometimes. We think in the beginning, hey, things don't work out. That's when you really gotta push it. You gotta really work at it. You know, and I I'm just so grateful now how God has blessed my podcast. Podcast number one, Regina Swarin Audio Series presents. And God, thank you. God, I thank you, God, I thank you for Laura. I thank you for that that woman. She's she's transitioned to be with the Lord now, but I truly thank God for her. Oh my god, I thank God for her. I thank God for her. And I miss her. So I'm gonna be talking about things like that. I'm gonna be talking about grief. It's just so many topics I'm gonna speak on in my new podcast. Give me 15 with Regina Soren coming to you in June.

Laura, Grief, And Not Quitting

SPEAKER_00

This will be the second week in June. I believe it's the second Saturday in June, and I'm super excited about it. Super excited. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who listens to my current podcast, who will continue. That podcast is not going anywhere, it's going to continue. Regina Soarin' Audio series has grown to be so wonderful that people are really sharing it and downloading it and and and talking about

Why We Stay Audio Only

SPEAKER_00

it on their different shows and stuff. And it's an audio only. My podcasts are audios, and um, and I think I explained that in several of my podcasts why I like audio because I like I still got my mindset in a a radio frame of mine. I I I used to love listening to the radio because you can always see visually, but you can hear. So I'm thankful to be one of those out there who is still bringing you audio, and I'm not ashamed. I mean, I look I look fine, I look okay. I mean, it's not that I'm worried about how I look or whatever. I I look decent, I look fine, I look great, if I have to say that. But it's not that, it's just that I've always loved radio, I've always loved audio. So since I do love audio and radio, da da da da da. That's why I like to continue that with my podcast. And I try to put down audio only. So thank you so much for listening. And um there's so many things I want to talk about in this new podcast. Um I think I talked about the subject of complaining. I I don't like to hear that. I don't like people to down themselves and and talk, you know. I I know this this uh person, uh person I've known for for a minute. This lady, she she'd been complaining about the same thing for the for as long as I've known her. I've known her for like 14, 15 years. This lady is complaining about the same thing today that she was 14 years ago. And so it's gotten to be such a a sad, sad song that I just don't listen to it. I, you know, I know when to tune people in and I know when to tune them out. And I don't like a lot of complaining around me. I don't have that cor around me. I don't like that around me.
