Bring Back Old-Time Church

Church didn’t used to feel optional or ordinary. You could walk through the doors and sense something holy, something set apart, and you left believing God still heals, still saves, and still answers prayer. I’m Regina Swarin, and this bonus message is my personal “why” behind “Let’s Have Church,” a memorial on behalf of my sister that stays centered on lifting up Jesus and calling people back to the faith that changed lives.

I reflect on the “Mother Jackson era” and what old-time holiness church looked like for me: prayer lines where every person was covered, services where people got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, and a kind of worship that didn’t feel like a show. I also talk plainly about the moment we’re living in now, when people tell me they’ve stopped going because the church feels like everybody else. Many are searching online for a place to believe again, and I’m praying these services meet them with hope, conviction, and a message that resonates.

Welcome And Why This Matters

Hey there! Welcome back to another bonus episode of Regina Swarin Audio Series Presents. You all know that I am in the process of heavy promotion for my let uh let's have church uh memorial on behalf of my sister, but it's all about lifting up Jesus. I'm gonna continue to say that because the reason I call it Let's Have Church is because I'm talking about church the way it used to be years ago. And I call it the Mother Jackson era, Mother A. B. Jackson, Prophet's Mother A. B. Jackson era, evangelist Maddie B. Poole, all those greats, uh Prophet David Cheryl, all those greats, see what's going on to be with the Lord, transition with the Lord. But their way of church was totally different than today. And God's been leading on my heart, and you know, I've been seeking God to take me back first because I say, Lord, just take me back. And he said, Well, I will start your first works over by fasting, praying, and I will lead

you accordingly. You know, I want it back to where it used to be. And I know everybody's not gonna be up for that, you know, but the fact that, you know, when people were getting saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, people were getting healed. Uh, I remember Saturday night service at Jackson Temple Holiness Church, uh, under my leader, Prophetess Mother, A.B. Jackson, where you would go through that line prayer line, and she prayed for every single person that came through that line. Uh, it was uh brother, he's gone on to be with the Lord too. Uh Elder Dave, um, not David Brother Rutherford, he went on to be with the Lord just recently, God bless his soul, and so many of the greats, you know, that that prayed with Mother Jackson, laid hands on as we went through the prayer line. And when I tell you, you can feel the anointing of the Holy Ghost, even when you walk through the doors of the church. Let's have church. Um, I ask God, I want this to touch people. I want when people hear the different speakers, I say, God, touch people because thousands of people listen to my podcast. Thousands. It may not seem like it, but thousands of people tune into my podcast. So I say, Lord, I want when they hear these different services, I say, Lord, touch the heart of people. Touch their heart. Let each speaker or speakers or whomever is a part of it, let them say something that's gonna grab the hold and of the hearts of the people. Because in these horrible times that we're living in, people need hope right now. People feel like they're just hopeless, and you really can't even turn to the church because the church now is so much like everybody else, and people are like, I've had people tell me they say, I don't go to church anywhere because the church is just like everybody else. So, but there are still people out there who's carrying up the the cross of Jesus Christ, who's carrying that cross. There's still people out there who's doing that. Maybe a few, but there's still people who are doing that, and I thank God for the ones who are. So, yeah, I want to give a quick shout-out to the three radio stations.

Hope For People Who Feel Done

I heard them announce this um church service. I heard them announce these different church services on their radio station. Oh god. I I was so excited. I was like, my Lord. And these guys are are well, well, well known in the in the public all over all over social media. So um I'm gonna go through and thank everybody um in a little bit. I'm gonna just make a podcast thanking all the radio stations and all the bloggers and all the YouTubers who are helping me with this, and all the people who are designing posters, you know, trying to get the word out, because at the end of the day, and I keep saying, at the end of the day, I want people to follow Christ and and take away something from these different services. Let's have church. And I'm gonna be making a podcast very often. So you see, this is number four, podcast number four, let's have church. And again, to hear the the announcement on the radio station this morning just brought tears to my eyes because I know God is with it. I know he's behind it, and I I feel good about it. And I'm just praying and ask God, whatever you give the speakers to say, Lord, let it resonate with the listeners out there. Because people they're not going to church no more. People are not going to church anymore. And a lot of times people will search online to try to find charge. You know, they'll say, well, let me check online and see who's having charge. They don't even walk through the church doors anymore, but the church, it used to be the place to take the sick, it used to be the place to take the people who are depressed, it used to be the place to take the ones who want uh the Holy Ghost to get filled with the Holy Ghost and get Jesus in their life. And I'm so thankful to the Lord. I'm just praying, God bless these different services. There are two different services, and
