She's in the Weeds - Pop Culture and The Female Experience
Every Wednesday hosts and millennial besties, Sam and Hollis, explore and discuss the intersection of pop culture past and present and the female experience. They're here to unpack the good parts, the messy parts, and most importantly, the parts that inform our ideas about being a woman. They get in the weeds each week on the culture that shaped millennial girlhood and follows us into adulthood examining what it teaches us about self-worth, agency and identity. Join them as they share their lives, dish on current pop culture news, review 90s and 00s tv and film, and highlight notable female pop culture icons. Come for the hot takes. Stay for the bestie banter.

Happy Wednesday Weed Whackers and welcome back to another episode of She's in the Weeds! We've got a good one for you today! First up, a quick circle back to a comment made by Gretchen Rossi on RHOC and last week's discussion about it. Then, Sam and Hollis are sharing their thoughts on the Sydney Sweeney American Eagle marketing campaign that's taken the nation by storm and sparked much debate. Next, Sam's sharing a quick update on the never ending It End With Us saga and how she will be SAT for the 2026 trial. Then it's time to give Hollis some much deserved sh*t for the fact that she has NEVER seen Freaky Friday?! I'm sorry, WHAT?! Sam cannot understand how they aren't aligned on this but will be making 100% sure it is rectified ASAP. The ladies will be seeing the sequel together in the boujee theater pending a full review! Then it's time to get in the weeds! Today's topic is horrendous, unhinged, and ridiculous 90s and early 2000s interview moments with some of our favorite female stars. Why were we so obsessed with treating celebrity women like trash in the millennium? From the fat phobia to the sl*t shaming we're revealing it all! As always, we wrap things up with gripes about kids and fur babies and grapes to fashion and good eats!
