Episode 42 Reality Check: Cheese and Wings?!
Hey Whackers! Welcome back to another Reality Check episode of She's in the Weeds! First up, Sam shares a funny story about a misunderstanding of the title "She's in the Weeds" and how this is now a food podcast. Then Hollis gives us the lowdown on her dad's birthday party and the delicious pie she made (I guess this is a food podcast?) Next, Sam is reflecting on having a kindergartner, spilling all the tea on the drop off and pick up situation, and sharing her experience realizing she has to make friends with the school parents. Why is making friends so hard in your 30s? Then we get into some discussion on tv and movies past and present. We are so excited for The Devil Wears Prada 2! We will be SAT! During our discussion we realize we share an affinity for the great Matthew Lillard and that we aren't so sure about pixie haircuts. Or at least Sam's not so sure. After much debate about short hair Sam opens up about her foot deformity so be sure to stay turned for that one. Moving on, we have thoughts to share about the Kardashian jowl trainer and once again we find ourselves in a debate about where to draw the line when supporting a public figure or business. Why does this have to be so hard. Why can't there just be perfect people and companies to give our money to? But unfortunately there's not and we're not perfect either so we're back to focusing on doing 1% better. Thanks, carmom. Then it's time to get in the weeds and dish on the latest reality tv happenings. From The Valley reunion to Ghislaine Maxwell sharing a prison with Jen Shaw we're going to mention it all! As always we wrap it up with gripes about pronunciation and kids answers to questions, and grapes to nostalgia and wheeze laughing. Meet us in the weeds!
