Midlife Reset with Jama Pantel
Midlife Reset with Jama Pantel is a podcast for high-achieving women navigating midlife changes and figuring out how to feel like themselves again.
If you’ve ever felt like you don’t feel like yourself anymore in midlife… but you can’t quite explain why, you’re not alone.
You’ve done everything right. You’ve built the life, the routines, the discipline.
And now something feels different. Not wrong… just different. Your body is changing. Your energy isn’t the same. And the things that used to work… don’t always work anymore.
But here’s the part no one really talks about. You might also feel more like yourself than ever before. More clear. More grounded. More aware of what you want and what no longer works for you. And now you’re trying to figure out what to do with that.
This podcast is where we talk about all of it. Midlife identity shifts. Confidence in midlife. Body changes and evolving routines. The “good girl” and “oldest daughter” patterns that kept you being the easy one, and what happens when that stops working.
Each week, Jama Pantel shares real conversations about what it looks like to move through a midlife reset in a way that feels honest, grounded, and aligned with who you are now. No extremes. No pretending everything is falling apart. No starting over from scratch. Just honest perspective, real-life experience, and figuring it out as you go.
If you’re in your 40s and navigating change, growth, and that feeling of “something is shifting”… this podcast will help you make sense of it.

Welcome and Redefining Networking
Jama PantelHey y'all, welcome back. It's your podcast bestie Jama coming at you again. This time I'm talking about something that's been on my mind a lot lately Networking. Now, you've probably heard the word networking and instantly pictured a room full of awkward small talk, flimsy name tags and people handing out business cards like candy Because, let's be honest, that's what I think too. But as I step back, what I've really been thinking about is you've been networking your whole life. Seriously, you might not have even called it that, but it's what's being done every day. It's every connection, every conversation, every time you showed up for someone or they showed up for you. Let me give you the perfect example. When I first launched this podcast, one of my very first reviews I got was from my best friend from kindergarten Y'all. I'm 47 years old now. That's some lifelong networking right there. I mean, who knew when we were sitting on nap mats and coloring outside the lines together, one day she'd be tuning into my podcast to cheer me on.
Lifelong Connections and Kindergarten Besties
Jama PantelThat's the thing about networking. It's not always about what you do in business suits or big events. It's how you make people feel, even decades later. Here's another story for you. I remember when my big brother was in college, at Carnegie Mellon, he told me he was taking a class on networking and I laughed. I literally made fun of him. You need a class to learn how to talk to people? Yeah well, let's just say, older me owes younger me a little side eye for that one, because now I get it.
Real Networking Creates Lasting Impact
Jama PantelNetworking isn't just about talking. It's about building real relationships, listening, remembering names, showing up for people and being someone they trust and respect. Now let's talk about last week. I was out of town all week for an event and, as great as some parts of it were, not everything went as planned and the outpouring of support I got, the number of people who came up to say how much I've helped them or impacted them through what I do honestly left me speechless. That's when it hit me. This is networking, not the performative kind, but the real kind, the kind that happens when you do good work, treat people well and actually give a darn about them.
Jama PantelAnd if you're trying to build a brand, especially a personal brand, this is the part that most people overlook. Your reputation isn't built on social media captions and perfectly curated feeds. It's built in the in-between moments when someone asks, hey, do you know someone who does, "fill in the blank and your name is the first one that comes up. When people see how you treat others behind the scenes. And when your old kindergarten bestie still roots for you 40 years later. So my point is, whether you're showing up on Instagram or LinkedIn, a Zoom call in your local coffee shop, wherever it is, you are the brand, your energy, your values, your follow-throughs and, yes, your connections.
Building Your Reputation Through Actions
Jama PantelNetworking isn't just something you turn on when you need something. It's the long game, it's the slow build, and often it's the reason doors open for you before you even knock. So I wanted to share a few quick takeaways for you. You've been networking your whole life. You might not have called it that, though.
Key Takeaways and Final Thoughts
Jama PantelEvery interaction counts, online and in person. Your reputation is your resume. Treat people well, even when there's nothing in it for you, and be generous, because when you pour into people without keeping score, it always circles back. Now, if this episode made you think about the way you show up both online and real life, take a little time today to reconnect with someone, not to pitch or to promote, just to say hey, because you're thinking about them, because building a powerful presence starts with being a real human first. And, if you're loving this podcast, it would mean the world to me if you left me a review. Who knows, maybe you'll be my next kindergarten bestie shout out. Until next time, thanks y'all for tuning in. Bye.
