TV Shows We All Miss
Remember those TV shows that made you rush home after school and kept you glued to the screen? We kick things off by strolling down memory lane with some of our favorite classics like "Swat Kats," "Smallville," and "The Amanda Show." We ponder the legacy these iconic series have left behind and fantasize about their potential revivals. What made shows like "Teen Titans" and "Ed, Edd n Eddy" so special, and how did series finales like those of "Breaking Bad" and "Friends" leave us feeling? Let's not forget the cultural impact of "The Boondocks" and the gripping narratives of "How to Get Away with Murder," which we celebrate for their profound storytelling.

if you could bring back one tv show, what would it be? First answer swat cats. Swat cats, I've never heard. That's good, that's a good, but I feel like I don't remember what channel came on. I always saw uh reruns on boomerang, but swat cats was pretty good. I got smallville as an answer, and smallville is one of the best running superman shows. I did feel it drug for a little bit. I would have loved to see him be superman. I see a lot of clips from it, like especially now, but like back in his heyday. Yeah, because it's more of like an early, early 2000s. Yeah, yeah, I didn't. I didn't start it or watch it back then, but it's the father of all live action superhero tv show.
Speaker 1:When the flash started and green arrow on netflix, I was locked. I was locked in. We got the amanda show from nickelodeon, literally that one, the favorite show I'm. They start. They also started on cw. Oh, oh, the green arrow, they did. They said netflix, I was watching on netflix. Yeah, that was a cw original straight to netflix.
Speaker 1:Man, I got the hundred. I haven't finished 100. Uh, I haven't the hundred. It don't need to come back. You don't think so, you think finished. I think where it finished. Yeah was enough. Yeah, because if they would have went any further it would have just been like you're doing it for money, money and right, yeah, you're dragging it like, nah, the hundred needs to stay, kind of for breaking bad, even though my answer would be breaking bad, but I kind of feel like, okay, then he died at the end of breaking bad. I really don't remember. I want to re-watch it now. Yeah, I think I just want to re-watch it for the sake of re-watching the boondocks. I got this two boondocks right. I got the boondocks as well. Boondocks easy. How long did the boondocks run? I think four or five seasons boondocks out of it. I it might be longer than that. I know, I know the boondocks we saw the boom boondocks is rerun. We didn't experience a new episode. Yeah, yeah, no, but I think it might not even been that it could be more. I'm not too sure. I feel like the boondocks is a good one.
Speaker 1:I got this one from someone very crazy. She put how to get away with murder. Same man. Oh, somebody insane bro, somebody crazy bro.
Speaker 1:I watched a little bit of it. It was good it was. It was good it was, but like it just wasn't the show I would typically watch. I watched it after, like you, after I watched you and I was like I was in that little you know what I look. You was in that woman show phase, not like the serial killer phase, like I said, woman show phase, like that's the kind of no, no, no, no, I'm talking, I'm talking the use, the how to go. Yeah, it's for anybody, don't. I'm not being literal, I'm just saying typically you see a lot of women going crazy, like gray's anatomy. You would see more women going crazy over it than typically men going crazy over it.
Speaker 1:Og, teen titans, steven universe, the older version I could get behind teen titans for sure, just because they left us on a cliffhanger. So I think teen titans would be like a one and done type thing. Um, ed, ed and eddie, friends and hey, arnold. I feel like friends had an okay ending, because I remember I had a friend, she loved it and, like I remember she was watching, the ending felt like it was, like it was an okay wrap up to me. Hey, arnold, it got an ending. I like the ending of hey, hey, arnold. Actually did anybody out there watch, actually watch the ending of how I met your mother. I couldn't make it. No, no, I couldn't freaking make it. And I I've heard an ending. I think the chat told us an ending. Yeah, and I don't even think I was satisfied with the ending. I heard, yeah, adventure time, uh, the original hands down, not fiona and cake, and I could get with that, because Adventure Time had a lot of lore that they kind of explored upon and it was like they did like really great world building, right to not deliver on it and like they, just like what they did was cool. But as I'm watching the show, I'm like I want to know about this, I want to know more about this, I want to see they never went that route. Yeah, they never went that route, the one we should have all been expecting. Well, not from our audience, but I should expect it anyway.
Speaker 1:The chappelle show yeah, knowing he walked out on the show and I ain't a lot I remember being in high school. It might have been running before we got to high school, but I remember being in high school and like chappelle show, chappelle. So she said no, it actually it was when we was in elementary. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I remember we went to a I was like, wait, high school? No, yeah, it was elementary. It was elementary. It was elementary Because we went to a camping thing and they was watching clips in the cabin. Yeah, and that's all they. Chappelle Show oh, you got to high school.
Speaker 1:I was watching clips with my friend on his freaking ipad when the one or not ipad, ipod, when ipods first started playing videos yeah, yeah, we was watching. Who told you to stand up when you pee? You sit down when you pee. Boy charlie murphy. Hey, before his time. Man, I got avatar. Last airbender, we got a completion of that. I do get wanting to see and grow up, but we know how his story ended. Troll hunters I feel like troll hunters is a good answer. Troll hunters is one of those shows that's like really slept on. It's a lot of og. Teen titans yeah, see, I got, it's a lot of teen titans. You know? Gumball regular show it's a lot of these shows.
Speaker 1:That y'all 2012 tmnt a show called breadwinners I've never heard of it. Oh, kicking it oh, my god, I didn't know. Anybody else on the planet watched kicking it. What was that kicking? It was, um, it was disney xd. It sound like disney kicking, kicking. It sounds like a disney xd. That's a good one.
Speaker 1:Scooby-doo mystery incorporated, of course. To the day I die, I will argue this. Y'all might hate me for this on the internet, but Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated is the greatest new rendition of Scooby-Doo. That is the perfect example of how you deliver on an existing IP and improve upon it. That show had the makings of being something great. If they would have gave it the Velma budget and put it on HBO Max, it would have been a banger. I'm really seeing how much y'all loved teen titans, gumball, yep and boondocks, because gumball, bro gumball, is goaded like. And how long did that run, bro gumball? I don't even know, but I watched every season.
Speaker 1:Gumball is one of those shows. It's like it's just funny and somebody says, because it ended on a cliffhanger yeah, it did end on a cliffhanger and they were supposed to bring it back because they all became, uh, I think, real people at the end. Gravity falls, hell yeah, gravity falls is another banger. Gravity falls is another banger. I want to see that.
Speaker 1:Somebody says silent library okay, oh, I want to play that. We need to take it. We don't have enough close friends to do it. Yeah, how mean. Wait, how many people do we need? I think you need like six or twelve. We could probably get away with four people playing and one host, yeah, and then we would need just help.
Speaker 1:Obviously, matt is gonna be the main film. Yeah, person filming. You just set the other cameras up and then we just have to get the punishments in order. Yeah, oh yeah, that would be lit. So, uh, I'm gonna just rapid fire these. We got the american dragon, jake long. I agree with that. Okay, austin and ally, and don't agree with that.
Speaker 1:One crash and bernstein why does that sound so familiar? Lab rats I like lab rats. Kablam kablam was okay. Bernie max show rp to go. I ain't gonna lie. When it comes to, when it comes to comedians having a shows, that's one of the ones I could just watch. Bernie was a step above america. Something wrong with these kids, america. Nah, bernie max show kids.
Speaker 1:Wake up, kids, wake up. What are you doing? Let me show you how to do it. Wake up, everybody, everybody. Let me show you how to chastise a kid. Come here, walker, texas ranger transformers, prime backyard against. Okay, ko, let's be heroes, okay, I feel like okay, ko, ain't, no way what. Somebody put the cave paintings. It's mikey's favorite. Well, they have something about you. I just I kind of ignore it all over that's. That's insane boondocks.
Speaker 1:Again, zach and cody no, I feel like zach and cody. I feel like we're we got a good ending of zach and cody. God damn, because what? The only three seasons of the original them in a hotel, I think so. And then we move to the ship. Yeah, I feel like we got a good ending of zach and cody.
Speaker 1:Avengers earth's mightiest heroes that specific avengers cartoon was really good. That's one of those ones I'm like, yeah, that could do with an ending. Pk fire, some of these. Batman beyond total drama. Island, oh, invader zim. I've never heard of jekyll and hyde primeval. Brooklyn 99 I've seen clips of brooklyn 99 and it's fucking hilarious.
Speaker 1:I ain't gonna lie, when I be seeing these clips on tiktok, of all these uh different show like whether it's ncis stuff like brooklyn, I'll be like dang, this looks, it, look good. It's like the weirdest scenarios. It'll be like a, like a man gardening in the backyard, yeah, and all the the fence neighbor behind the fence neighbor trying to call the cops or some shit. Yeah, it just be so random. Yeah, robot boy, king of the hill.
Speaker 1:Inside job I'm not gonna lie, inside job surprised me how good it was. And for it to have like such a high rating where people liked it. It doesn, and for it to have Like such a high rating when people liked it. It doesn't make sense to me that Netflix canceled it. Somebody put Workaholics.
Speaker 1:You ever watch Workaholics? Yes, I haven't watched Like four episodes, but I watched clips. I was crying. It was so funny I was crying. I can imagine Blue Mountain State Would be another one. Yeah, we got. Yeah, we got grim.
Speaker 1:Oh, man, man, I've been trying to get simba majin and simba's roommate to watch grim as well as under the dome, because they're like that that he's playing. I think you can find them on maybe netflix, uh, not netflix, uh, amazon prime and, I think, paramount plus, but these are not sponsored, you know. Oh, y'all need to watch from from. That sounds for me. I need to watch from it's on. It might be it's either max or prime. Let's see the max or prime. I'm gonna check it out, check out from.
Speaker 1:But those two shows are like really good codename kids next door. Okay, samurai jack, it doesn't need to come back. We got a great ending of that. Shout out, guinea traverski chowder. I feel like we good off. Chowder got another jacket coding more teen titans og beyblade. I'm not gonna lie as a beyblade fan, I would love for them to revisit that og cast of beyblade with the new mechanics of how the bays work, just because those og characters just was.
Speaker 1:And I'm not talking metal series. I'm not talking metal series, I'm not talking Jenga, I'm talking Tyson. I'm talking OG. Like, yeah, I never could. Digimon and Beyblade is the two I could never get into. And you've missed out on a lot of mine. I just couldn't. They were phenomenal.
Speaker 1:It just wasn't my vibe. You know, when I hear that I wonder how we were friends Like because we're so, so different. That's are friends like because we're so, so different. That's a good. That's like how does it feel? Like it shouldn't work? It shouldn't at all like this shouldn't work at all. It's probably because we want the same things. I'm like. I'm like that's what keeps the relationship from failing. We both want a family, but we don't love each other. I think it's like one of those things.
Speaker 1:Um regular show teen times og a lot of Teen Titans OG, transformers Prime I think I remember that not too sure. Symbiotic Titan I always say this all the time Cartoon Network, warner Brothers. They do not respect and appreciate the genius of Gendy Tarkovarsky or Gendy Tarkovarsky, because that's the only way I can pronounce his name, gendy Tarkovarshi, or Gendy Tarkovarshi, because that's the only way I can pronounce his name. Gendy has produced banger after banger after banger. Give it to us. Give it to us. You said one earlier. We got Symbiotic Titan. We got Samurai Jack. We got I think he did Powerpuff Girls. Oh, okay, I think Gendy did Powerpuff Girls. I could be incorrect, incorrect, let's, let's. Uh, gindi um, clone wars, the original clone wars, I think he did. Dexter's laboratory, like gindi, has dropped some bangers, bro, and I genuinely feel like wholeheartedly all right. So here's a list of all the gindi shows primal, samurai jack, dexter's laboratory, dexter's stone wars, star wars, clone wars, symbiotic tit, unicorn Warriors, eternal.
Speaker 1:I feel like that's another prime example of Genndy not getting his time to shine. The animated mass series, uh, kargoth, the Barbaria, like Genndy, is one of them. Ones, bro, you want to talk about bag work? This man himself is bag work. He's never given the love and respect that he deserves and I feel like it doesn't matter how great. Everything he's made is a cult classic, like everybody loves his work. I just feel like cartoon network as a whole doesn't respect him and his craft and I feel like he has to be picked up by our brand and someone that's gonna throw money at him and say make whatever project you want and finish that story he made. You know uh thing he made. It was the Unicorn something. It was a Doe Swim exclusive, an HBO Max exclusive, and I think they ended up canceling it. It was called the Unicorn, it was the Unicorn Warriors Eternal and it was one of the ones I was planning on getting into until I found out it got canceled. Man, get that man his just due, man, bro. Because look, let me tell you, with Samurai Jack, the Council, samurai Jack, right, they was like let him finish it, let him finish it. They didn't let him finish it. Years later, years later, he finished Samurai Jack blew it out the water. So the best I genuinely feel like Genji Javarski, along with Toonami, was Cartoon Network and Adult Swim needed, because when he started dropping, when they let him finish that last season A Samurai Jack Ratings went through the roof and they claim that's all they care about Is freaking ratings and then they do stupid stuff.
Speaker 1:But regardless, welcome back to the Internet City FM Podcast episode. I believe we on episode 6. Man, not gonna lie to y'all, the last couple of weeks has been a blur. It has been a lot going on. Hell, simba just left our house. Simba, philly mall margin is still here. Yeah, marginally tomorrow. My boy, aaron, is exhausted. Yeah, I'm on the brink of exhaustion, but I'm like we got to finish this stuff. We have to record this podcast that we're supposed to record this.
Speaker 1:Yesterday to friday no, no, no, no, no, no. Wednesday, it is sunday, bro. I have been, I have been ready to do this work forever. Crap keep coming up. I'm like bro and like the. This week has been like the precipice. Okay, I'm ready to get stuff done, but crap comes up and it's like, okay, I'm not getting this done and then it's like I'm forced to do it and I'm like bro, I'm really like this close to just clocking out. Dude, I'm tired out. Yeah, bro, just like. Ah, bro, I don't do nothing right now. It's right now. Yeah, I can understand, I can understand it, but it's like there's no days off right now, because we had the bright idea. We had the bright idea to stream 75 days consistently. So there are no days.
Speaker 1:A lot of the streaming hasn't even been the taxing part, really all of it has. It's just been a culmination of everything happening at once. Okay, simba coming is like kind of normal because she rents a room here. It's kind of. It's kind of like that don't change a whole, whole lot. But then philly and ma pop up and, uh, margin pops up. So it's like, oh yeah, we doing all of this, bro.
Speaker 1:We got here all the regular work we were supposed to do. We got here all the regular work we were supposed to do. We got none of it done. True, we didn't record. We usually record reactions almost every day. We probably got reactions out like three times this week. Like this week was shit. This week we got more second channel reacts but not the main channel react. Yeah, yeah, because we've been like first day. Simba got here, we pulled the stream, irl stream. We pulled. We're shopping for some stuff, one of the things we're trying to get the lunchly to try. Couldn't even find it. But it was still a good day. Yeah, it was still a very productive.
Speaker 1:I just feel like it's been too much. Yeah, a little bit like mike is a go outsider. I'm I'm not, and I think that's why I'm also even more like I haven't had time to just be at peace. This is like every time I'm at peace there is no peace. I got to wake up. Oh, we got to record right now, from when Maul and them was here. Hey, we need you to get up. We got to record Maul, ok, fuck. Then, ok, we got to do this, ok, fuck. It's like damn bro. And then, like even even today, I'm like okay, I want to sleep in a bit, but I can't sleep in a bit because Simba leave at three. We got to get up.
Speaker 1:We couldn't do our stream stuff and everything yesterday because everything was going on yesterday. It's like damn bro, like died. Hey, it's the life we chose, man, it's not nothing wrong with it at all, it's just, you know you eventually are gonna get tired. You gotta rest, recoup, recover, like today we supposed to. We got some thumbnails, pictures to take. We might have to take a nap and do it. We might have to. I think we should just thug it and do it, bro, just thug it and do it. Uh, it really ain't gonna take as long as we like.
Speaker 1:You think it is because the brain is like oh, I'm tired, let me sleep, let me sleep. I think it's just the culmination of the whole week. That's because today hasn't even been like a crazy day. It's just you've been here, you've been here. Huh, you've been here. I wasn't here.
Speaker 1:We did all that I had. We had to drive there, drive back, then, when I get back, I had to eat. I was trying to go, but the crazy part is I was trying to go with them To drop Simba at the airport Because she wants to come to First of all. It's really Simba, first of all Simba, the God, it's really Simba. The airport is. We live 20 minutes from the airport. She goes to the airport an hour away. Yeah, she accidentally Buys a ticket To the wrong airport. So, boom, when she get here, I got to drive an hour from where I'm at pick her up, bring her back an hour over here. And then now today Aaron had to do the same. I was trying to go, but Aaron was like I need somebody to be here for my food. Tell me why his food got here like five, 10 minutes after they left. I'm like, really, really, bro, really dog.
Speaker 1:Nonetheless, I'm very glad we got things done that we got this week, for example, I could say a part of why we had to stay on go is because sorry for the, for the, for the, for the switch, but but normally when we come together as friends, whether it's here or a trip to atlanta or wherever we tend to not do the things or take advantage of the fact that we're here and we can collaborate with each other. So when we woke up, uh, when aaron said he had, he woke up. He's like, oh, we gotta film with maul. That was what. Thursday, no, friday, that was friday. They were leaving, maul and philly were leaving around one or noon. I woke up and I'm here. Everybody sleep.
Speaker 1:I'm like dang, they've been here for two days and we didn't do neither of the videos we could have done with them, especially like City Boy Wise, whatever. Curzio Park, I can't even react. Curzio Park, we did do a video the day before. You know what I mean. You know what I mean Like Philly, for example, a couple of weeks ago we got three videos of Philly Boom, boom, boom. Same day, boom, whatever. They came down here in the jail thing we rented like a set jail. It was streamed and all that. Uh, we did a big group video.
Speaker 1:But I'm like mall live in florida. It would be unwise to not get a video with just mall right here right now, and I'm looking at the clock, it was nine at the time. I'm like, okay, boom, if I wake them up and we film from like 10 to 11. And then they got from 11 to they leave to do whatever else, get dressed, take a shower, do something else, whatever and it worked out perfectly. I went in there. I was like maul, did you get, did you? I was like maul, did you sleep last night? He was like I fell asleep as soon as we got it. I'm like, oh yeah, you slept. All right, get up, we film it. I walked in I said, aaron, we gotta film, we gotta do it. And it turned out to be a great video. So that's part of the reason, I know. I was like, yeah, yeah, we got to stay on goal because I don't want to miss doing anything. So, like we was able to do the big jail thing, we was able to do the thing with Maul, we was able to do a ranking top 10 Nickelodeon thing with Simba, and everything turned out fun, great, yeah, great time, I think.
Speaker 1:I think, truth be told, going forward, I know this week was just. It was just because of the hassle. We got it, we talked about it, but at this we gotta lock down the schedule because it it gets, it gets right. It gets like like fuck, all right, cool, all right, we just moving, and it mushes into one and that schedule is kind of a mush. At this point, truth be told, in my brain it'll always be the same, and I will tell you why. We have, we literally already have a schedule. Things have moved just from like trial and error. Things have moved, but we me and you have a schedule. Things have moved just from like trial and error. Things have moved, but we me and you have a schedule.
Speaker 1:But I feel like every time we do something, especially with like people coming in, flying in, and it's always going to be like that, and the reason being is because outside of like hey, we booked this spot for this time it's always trying to wrangle people together, yeah, and stuff. So I think the best thing might be scheduling the activities when we come. Okay, we're coming together and knowing, okay, internet city wants to film something, symbol wants to film something, mall wants to film something, and just saying, yeah, all right, tuesday, this is the main thing we need to get done Wednesday. This is the main thing we need to get done Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. That'll help a lot, because when we booked the fucking thing, the jail set it was like 6 to 10 Thursday, be there, be square, and it just. And we got it done.
Speaker 1:You are really tired, I am, I know, and we got it done. You are really tired, I am, you are really tired. I haven't had a break. I haven't had a chance to have a mental break because every morning, as soon as I get up, it's been go, it's been go, go, go, go go, From getting up just to like the day after we did this shoot, everybody was asleep. I woke up up, I came clean everything up and I went to try to lay back down and then I had to get up because it was time to film. It was like it's like fuck, god damn man. It's like it's just, it's just one of those. And then it's like, along with I don't, I, I haven't had time to think and I haven't had time to wind down because it's like trying to figure out the approach Cause another thing that happened this past weekend we figured out this streamers, whole IRL setup and we're like, okay, we want to start streaming IRL, this is what we want to do.
Speaker 1:And so I've been trying to give time to think about that objectively, like, okay, if we're streaming IRL, how do we schedule this where we aren't just going going going, because I know personally for me I don't want to just go, go go. That's not fun, for me at least. And so, with looking at it, trying to figure out, okay, what do we need to do for the main channel, what do we need to do for these IRL streams to where they're fun? Trying to conceptualize and think about that and sleep like we're like deep sleep, I'm out of melatonin. So I, I've been, bro, this is a lot of you. I'm having a time of my life over here. I know you are. I've been in deep sleep, I've been you're. You're a go out person. You can run on autopilot. I'm trying to.
Speaker 1:I know how crazy our life can get if we know what it is. You know what it is, you know what it is. Well, I ain't gonna lie, I don't really count this week, because I know our normal thing is gonna be really going monday through friday and then on a weekend when I got mason and we just not really having to film, we just wind down outside of the hour or two we gotta stream just because we're streaming every day. So I know normal for normal for us is monday through friday boom, and then weekend we just wind down, chill, recoup, whatever, whatever, whatever.
Speaker 1:Um, but I think that I'm used to it because of the music, video, video production grind, because it's literally the way you feel when we're like at the jail set and it's like we got to get this equipment here and we got to make sure this person's here, all of that getting production going while having to be in a video. It's like most of it I'm used to because I did it for what? Six, seven years straight Now. Granted, I wasn't in the videos when I was shooting them, but it's still kind of the same. That's why it's like when we do stuff, I can easily just all right, set the cameras here, lights here, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, mic myself up, mic Aaron up, make sure it makes your audio, and it just Once we hit record, it's just yeah.
Speaker 1:So it's like I think it's because I'm used to it, because I think I'm more so, I'm more so thinking I know how life gets for us, whereas I know shit's going to come up and I know, if shit comes up, how difficult it makes everything else. And so, like with that in mind, constantly keeping that in mind. That's why, like this week has been, like this week has been a challenge, because I'm also looking at it like okay, we haven't, we didn't release enough on the main channel this week, along with us not like actively releasing on the main channel. Like haven't been able to get gaming recordings done. This past week it's just been like fuck, we did a lot of work, but there's work that I know we needed to do, that we didn't do. And it's like every day like, okay, let's, we gotta record. Today, shit came up that day where we didn't record schedule, fucked up, we're okay, we can't do what we originally doing, we gotta do this.
Speaker 1:And it's like that, me constantly knowing with me looking at analytics, looking at the shit we do. I know how we can get caught up and we miss it. And like for me, like this week we did a lot of shit, but we missed a lot of shit this week, like it was very it was very much a big work week, but I'm looking at like, okay, monetization is down on main channel, second channel, fucking doing whatever. Fucking all right, cool objectively. Oh, third channel, this is doing way better, okay, cool. You know I'm saying so. It's like it's that that to and fro from everything.
Speaker 1:And then the fucking podcast channel it's not getting monetized. This is pissing me off. Oh, it's because it's because of adsense, which is monetizable already. It's just we have to figure out whatever adsense thing is tripping. It's like the wrong account. I don't know. I don't know what it's doing, but uh, I honestly believe we kind of gotta have to learn to live in the chaos, at least monday through friday, to be honest, because monday through friday, I feel like there's more work to be done within those days. Yeah, I agree, in order, and that would also yield more rest on the off days.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think we fucked up. I think, where we genuinely fucked up, we shouldn't have put monday to finding out the fucking stream. Shit, granted, it worked. Yeah, oh yeah, that's what that's, that's what fucked. Yeah, yeah, because we spent the time we were supposed to start the stream figuring out equipment and buying irl equipment, which I'm glad, we're glad we did, yeah, but glad we did, but fuck, and it turns out, everything we order is either on back order or we got, or it's a holiday, because there's a two of the biggest camera companies it's a jewish holiday, so they literally are closed until the 26th or the 28th and we wouldn't be getting nothing for another eight days. So we did all of that and then yesterday we had to come back and be like we got to cancel this and reorder it from somewhere else that can get it to us so we can start, because they at least want to have it before we go ghost hunting which we gotta do this week, you know, because we I had to.
Speaker 1:We bought the starling and then it's like like this week was a whole lot of doing shit that we eventually had to undo. Like we bought, we thought we were buying a live view, fucking stream shit. They sent us just the modems for 900 and we're like, bro, this is a scam. Yeah, all right, cool, luckily it's amazon, return that, yeah, so we got to send that back to Amazon. Then we're like, all right, whatever, we bought a Starlink mini so we have internet wherever we go.
Speaker 1:We bought a regular Starlink and I'm looking at it Like this is not the one we're supposed to have. This is not the one we're supposed to have, but maybe we can make it work. I started doing the extra research, so this one going to be a pain. We got to return it. We buy the modems for the live view separately. They email us oh, they're out of stock. On back order, we'll let you know. Nope, got to cancel that. Then we had to go buy the modems from somewhere else. It's like man, yeah, yeah, yeah. But all in all, I'm really not complaining. I'm not complaining. Uh, I'm looking at the. Uh, I'm excited. What adjustments do we make? What adjustments do we make for boom, boom, boom, boom, boom?
Speaker 1:Though, the two things before we move on to the next topic, the two things that really threw us off for sure is monday yeah, not actually recording the react stuff and doing a lot of you stuff. Granted, it still turned out okay, but whatever, yeah. And then saturday, when we were supposed to really do it, stuff happened, yeah, which because we went out. So we had to go get the food that they wanted to try. First, try the crappy patty meal. And we tried something mid by the way turns out the crappy patty meal. We knew it was gonna be me because it's wendy's and it was for content. But the other meal that we was like, ah, just the real food, turned out to be nasty. So we like dang, and then we're supposed to finish the stream, come back. We're supposed to come back home while still on stream and then record. It didn't happen because some life stuff came up, but nonetheless, it is what it is. We still pushing forward, we still gonna make it happen. We still here, aaron's still dead, but uh, yeah, uh.
Speaker 1:Now what I really want to talk about, I've been trying to catch up with the guys, with the people, with the culture, and watch a couple of shows. So, boom, I seen Dragon Ball Diamond. I'm like, boom, gotta watch that. Still gotta watch episode two because I didn't know it came out. But boom started that. Uh, it was another show. Penguin started that. Still want to finish that. I think I made one and a half episodes into that. It's looking like it's going to be really promising. The world building. So far, the environment is looking real good. Actors, all that is looking real good, dan, today, have you started that? No, I'm waiting till we have the next. Why are you waiting for more episodes to drop? Yeah, okay, okay, okay, luckily, luckily this season oh, this is a fuck.
Speaker 1:Last anime season we had nothing like when I say nothing. There was like, it was like dog shit. It was terrible. It was nothing but like super mid shows and like stuff to watch to pass the time. Now it's looking real, it's looking good, bro, it's bro, my watch list is full of 10 shows, oh, oh. But nonetheless, dandedan started watching. It didn't know what to expect. All I'm gonna say, bro, my watch list is full of ten shows, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. But nonetheless, dan to Dan started watching. It didn't know what to expect. All I'm going to say is I think Aaron's going to look at the animation style like, ooh, I already know I'm going to like it. I already know I'm going to like it. That's nice, because when I saw it I'm like, ooh, that's nice. And then the concept of the show is also once again looking promising, yeah. So I'm excited to see if they really turn it up.
Speaker 1:We also saw the trailer for that, um, that dc show. Yeah, the, uh, monster, um, something. It's creature, creature squad, creature creature. It's like, yeah, creature crusaders or something like that. It's like a. It looks promising. It looks promising. Yeah, it looks real good, invincible, like gore, yeah, and stuff. So hopefully the story holds that together. Yeah, I also saw transformers one. Oh, how did we forget? Transformers one was really good and I gotta go on here and say, bro, if you call yourself a transformers fan, right, and you like transformers and you like optimus prime and all that, and you went on and started blabbing about that. Transformers one was, as you're not a real transformers fan, you don't know, you're a, you're a faker. You're legitimately a faker. You either watch it. The information you do know is from maybe a show here and there, but you don't know the source material. You genuinely don't.
Speaker 1:That movie was phenomenal, granted they, they went with a different storyline for Megatron, where he wasn't a gladiator but Orion Pax uh, the, everything that happened, even Sentinel Prime being evil I saw somebody online talking about Sentinel Prime was never evil. Okay, wasn't evil in the movie, it was evil in the movies. It was evil in the movie. Y'all, don't y'all just be yapping, dude, gotta be bro, bro, like that movie. It was really fun. It was fun, funny action, yeah, everything.
Speaker 1:The voice acting like for me. Uh, it took me a minute to get behind chris hemsworth. I'm not gonna lie to you for me, just because I knew he was the voice actor, I I just kept seeing thor and then towards the end I was like, yeah, that's optimist, that's optimist. It finally I didn't even notice until a certain till he flipped his mask down and it filtered his voice and it I was like, oh, that's yeah, and I think I think that's me because, like, I pay attention to those details. But like that mug was, was pristine.
Speaker 1:And if I had to guess right, if I had to guess the way the movie series would go now, transformers one, which is essentially their origin, right, if they do two, tf two, transformers two, I think it will be, uh, the Cybertron war. And if they do TF three, transformer three I think it should be something to do with Unicron. And if they do it that way, I'm very excited to see a part two. Yeah, or, I'm very excited to see man, give me, give me up to three, bro, give me up to three and I'm cool. Yeah, yeah, I'm very, very.
Speaker 1:You could, hell, you could make Unicron a two-parter. I think the next thing I need this is making me more excited to go back and watch Miles Morales animated. Those are good, those are really good, because obviously everybody said oh, they're so good, I just couldn't. People animation style like it didn't make me watch it. But you gotta work on that man.
Speaker 1:You gotta get with the culture, bro. You hating on the thing, you see thing because of james gunn, that's completely different. But I'm with the culture. No, it is completely different, because my exact words were I want to hate it because of james gunn, but it looks good. That's two different things, bro. I'm in the culture, bro. This is like your bro, you talking to somebody. You know that it's so true that it's. That don't mean nothing. I like what I like and if the animation don't turn me off, that's on you, bro, because you, you missing el, you're missing out on something great from a trailer, trailers and snippets that you've seen. That, like you missing out, it's not, it's not my life. I'm going to watch it.
Speaker 1:Truth be told, truth be told, with people said the first one was better Objectively. Yes, I can see that, but the second one is just, it hit more, more in the feels for me. I feel like story wise. I genuinely, genuinely enjoyed the second one better, just for the story, overall story, that it worked better for me. We also saw Terrifier and Simba and Aaron refused to. We we started the Terrifier series because on stream we saw something about it and then I saw a TikTok about the intro clip from the third one and how it was.
Speaker 1:Like the killer is doing the most art, the clown doing the most, and we start talking about on streaming like y'all gotta watch it because it's it's like the new slasher, whatever we like, all right, boom, we're gonna try to watch the first one and try to make it to the third one. We watched the first one, simon air, like I can't do it. I'm good because, like I know it's a movie, but that level of gruesome is insane. You have to. You have, I think, to write a movie like that you have to be not all the way there, you gotta be. There's a switch turned off up there, yeah, but it it. If you love gore and gruesome, it's the one for you.
Speaker 1:And like the first one was crowdfunded. So it was like they crowdfunded and they did what they could do with the budget and it was still very gruesome. You could tell the actors were first time actors and everything was the first time, you know I'm saying, but then, according to chat, the second one, third one, with the budget. The killings get gruesomer, gorier, more creative, if you want to call it that. And then the the budget is yeah, the budget is there to make it happen.
Speaker 1:Yeah, man, I ain't gonna. I kind of want to see pieces of it. I don't know if I'll watch the whole movies, but I just want to see. Yeah, I can't, I can't see what I can't sit through. I'll look at a compilation. I'll look at a complex spark notes, bro, spark note. Watch.
Speaker 1:Uh, angry, angry, angry critic, angry movie review something. I forget his name. Get him to watch it. Man, tell me what you, what you think. Dude, how can I forget? Oh, I think that's also part of the week and it being a blur, because it was a mix of trying to take advantage of the work and also just chilling with the homies. It was a mix of that. And then even it was moments like when we did chill, when we watched some movie. I don't even remember what movie we watched Alien Romulus. We watched Romulus, alien Romulus. Alien Romulus Really freaking good movie. That is mm. Chef's kiss. Watch Alien Romulus, really good movie.
Speaker 1:Love the practical effects, love the stylistic feel of it, um, love. I loved a lot of the allegory, not allegory. Similes, metaphors, simile. There's a lot of shit in it. That was metaphor. I was like, oh, I get that. That's really fucking cool. That movie was good, that was a good movie.
Speaker 1:That movie and Terrifier made me realize why I don't really like horror, thriller, those types of movies, because the fear puts me in a mind to reject the fear. I go into your stupid, just leave. Yeah, and I can't escape it because I'm trying to not to be scared of the movie. Yeah, and it puts me in common sense. You have to ruin it for yourself. Yeah, I have to ruin it, but with like action and all the other stuff, I could just be in it. I could be like fin diesel flew across and it's whatever, even after we finished.
Speaker 1:As soon as we finished With the movie, okay, now we gotta work. This has been Non-stop, bro. It's still better than Getting up Going to work. For somebody else, it is 100% Cap, 100%, no, freaking cap. This is just one of those Super work weeks.
Speaker 1:And I feel like there's another show that I watched, show, movie, whatever that I watched, I just can't put my finger on it. That was penguin. That was because I wasn't able to watch penguin this week. I wasn't able to watch it, so it was something else that I had to watch instead. Dragon ball, dandy, dan and one more can't remember. Oh well, it's gonna come to me eventually, god dog it. The only thing about weeks like this that I don't like is I miss all my youtube stuff. That's what I don't like missing all my, all my regular uh people that I subscribe to. Yeah, I get on there and I'll be like, oh, I missed, oh, I'm, oh, I gotta catch up and yeah, that's. That's that's when I feel, that's when I know I've been busy. When I can't, when I sit down at night, I'm like, dang, I ain't watched nothing in a long, long time, but, but nonetheless, still wouldn't trade it. Nba is back. Aaron probably doesn't care, I don't care.
Speaker 1:Oh, shout out Bronny, shout out Bronny for a 17-point performance. One steal, I think it was one steal. I think it was three for four for three. He's talking about LeBron James Jr. Bronny James, he legally changed his name to Bronny James. Legally, that's Bronny James, not LeBron James Jr. My fault, I didn't know. He did that. That's what they saying. That's what they saying. But he, yeah, this game, these last few games, he's been popping off, getting a lot more comfortable. He's a 55th pick, bro, he's gonna. You know what I'm saying. They are going to play him so that LeBron can play with his son on the court. Yeah, so get over it. Yeah, it'll be the first time in NBA history that it happened.
Speaker 1:I ain't gonna lie. I ain't gonna lie. I hope they I know it's not possible I hope they get a chip together If, hey, fuck Jordan, five rings, six rings, fuck that nigga done six rings. This nigga LeBron got a ring with his son Jordan, bitch ass ain't do that. His sons ain't even get close to the league. Bro, that's all I want, bro, that's all I want. That defeats the MJ better than LeBron argument.
Speaker 1:We just looking for the Bronny LeBron lob bro, yeah, that, lob that Bronny, lob. Oh. Looking for the brawny lebron live, bro. Yeah, we that lot, brad brawny look. Oh, still down the court faster, brony. Brony throws it up, oh, we also. We looking for yeah, but the what the d-way to lebron connection used to go hard. We looking for the brony to lebron yeah, bro, and it's gonna be lit.
Speaker 1:I was telling I was having to explain to somebody earlier today. I was like, yeah, man, it's just it feels so good this year, like basketball. It's because the season ended and then we had the whole Kaitlin Clark, wnba, college women's basketball thing going. Then we had the Olympics Everybody going crazy, curry go crazy at the end to win it all, and then you still had a little bit of women's basketball to hold us. And then now the season's back and it's felt so quick because we normally don't have anything in between, anything in between like we don't, the normal, normally casuals aren't watching women's basketball and there's not an olympics every year. Yeah, so it's like we not we don't have anything to watch, we just kind of listen to like theory videos and like even the creators don't have much to talk about. But like this year has been boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom and there's a lot of Perry. Shout out to my boy. Legend of Winning I know you getting a bag right now. Man, what Low, low, low. My dog. Legend of Winning, flight. Mike, kitty, I know low, I know low getting the dog boy. Let me tell you about his fundamental strengths and weaknesses. Okay, on the upside we have a player that can attack the rim. These trade rumors, boy, they go crazy on the trade. Hey, shout out my dog.
Speaker 1:I remember when we was on the Peer to Peer podcast. Rest in peace. To the Peer to Peer podcast. Somehow we mentioned RPMs because I guess they was asking us about. He was like what? I ain't seen an RPM below 10 ever. We looked at him like basketball, like that, and that's how much you get paid per thousand views. They running it up. Shout out to agent 2 he's a Rory boy. Yeah, yeah, sl90 is crazy. I ain't never heard of it. But all I did I have I am a supercar enthusiast is that it would, because you know how, like for most casual car people, you know the brands and you know there's like the low tier, mid-tier, and you know there's the high tiers.
Speaker 1:You know that's a high tier. You know there's the high tiers that you really don't know about. That's a high tier. Ferrari nigga, that's, that's high. That is a ferrari man, I ain't gonna lie that.
Speaker 1:That, and I think that's another reason why I'm just out of it. Like, uh, I feel like I gotta go hard, I gotta go hard, I gotta figure something out, go hard in the right places, because I feel like I gotta put my focus somewhere and where. Everywhere it is right now. I don't think it's where it should be. I feel like, wherever it is, it's not working the way it needs to be. So, like mentally, my mind has been in overload and I haven't had a chance to just give it a break because I need. I need SF90, I want a Ventador SVJ oh my god, and it's.
Speaker 1:It's a complete difference when things are flowing, like the grind up to something and needing a break is different when things are flowing and you don't feel like you need a break because it's just flowing. I'll tell you exactly how I feel. I feel like invincible. I just keep getting my ass whooped and I got to go be a superhero another day. That's how I feel, bro. I done got thrown through the building a few times and I got to keep getting up. I ain't going to lie to y'all. Because of this draining week draining, yet fun week we're going to go ahead and wrap it up here this week.
Speaker 1:Uh, did you have a topic you wanted to talk about? Nah, nah, just, I do have a creator of the week. His name is trey, with three y's. He makes commentary style videos, kind of like, and raps and he raps and he raps. Um, he's kind of like a. You could think cj the champ, uh, codename, super. But he's generosity, generosity, but he does, uh, nba and rap like and like pop culture. No, we're not pop culture, I don't want to call it that black culture, black culture type. Things like in his videos would be like NBA lore moments or the greatest Y ends of all time or stuff like that. He's, he's, he's a funny guy and every video ends in a rap. Yeah, shout out, my boy, every video ends in a rap. So shout out to trey with the three wise.
Speaker 1:And uh, that's gonna do it for episode six of the podcast. We got to record another one in a couple days, so we'll be back, we'll be seeing you and probably with more stuff that we watched and all of that, more updates. Uh, if there's anything we should watch, let us know. Peace out, peace out.
