How Cleaning Up Every Area of Your Life Unblocks the One That Is Stuck

In this episode of On The Journey with SJK, I explore what to do when one area of your life feels completely blocked. You have done everything you can think of, yet the same pattern keeps repeating and there seems to be no way forward. For a long time I believed my problems were isolated, that a work problem was only a work problem and a relationship problem was only a relationship problem. I have learned that this is not how life works. Everything is interconnected. The way you think about one thing shapes the way you think about everything, and the way you behave in one area quietly sets the tone for all the others. So when we pour all our time and energy into forcing open the one door that will not move, we often miss the point entirely.

What I have found instead is that a block in one area is the best possible invitation to clean up everywhere else. In my Buddhist practice this is called human revolution: taking your thoughts, words and actions to a higher level through small, incremental shifts. It is an internal renovation. Pausing instead of snapping. Staying neutral instead of joining the gossip. Snoozing the alarm once instead of six times. None of these look connected to the big problem, and that is exactly why they work. I share the story of a fellow member who spent years stuck on finding a life partner, then changed her approach entirely and did her human revolution at work and in her family instead. Her energy shifted, and so did her life.

Key Highlights

🔐 The Block That Will Not Move: We all hit an area of life where the same pattern repeats no matter what we try, whether that is work, money or relationships.

🔗 Nothing in Life Is Isolated: One of my biggest mistakes was treating my problems as separate. Everything is interconnected, so how you show up in one area influences all of them.

🌱 What Human Revolution Actually Means: A concept from Nichiren Buddhism: raising your emotions, thoughts, words and actions to a higher level through small, deliberate shifts. Think of it as an internal renovation.

The Small Shifts Count Most: Pausing instead of snapping, staying neutral instead of criticising, waking up on time. The size of the change does not matter, the direction does.

💞 The Story of the Karmic Block: A fellow member spent years stuck on finding a partner. She stopped obsessing over it and cleaned up her work life and her relationship with her parents instead, and everything changed.

Energy Is What Actually Shifts: When she upgraded her discipline, focus and behaviour, her frequency changed. She became a different person, and she attracted what she had been chasing.

🧹 Start Your Own Cleanup Act: Look at your relationships, your work, your routine, even your room. No effort goes to waste, and every credit shows up somewhere.

Have you ever felt blocked? Like really blocked in a certain area of your life? You've done everything possible, but you see the same pattern repeating itself, and you're just not sure how to move forward? Hello and welcome back to On The Journey With SJK.

We're back with more energy, more perspective and more insights. I realized that one of the biggest mistakes I was making when thinking about my life's problems was that I thought everything in life was isolated. I've said this in one of my previous podcast episodes. Everything in life is interconnected.

The way you think about one thing influences everything. The way you behave towards one thing in your life influences everything. There are times when we feel really blocked in a certain area of our lives. This could be work, this could be our personal lives, and we spend too much time and energy trying to fix that one area, and we forget about the other areas of our lives.

I've learned that when one aspect of your life is blocked, it is the best time to clean up other areas of your life. Use that time to clean yourself up. And why does that matter? So I practice NICHIREN BUDDHISM, and there is a concept there called HUMAN REVOLUTION,

which basically means making positive changes in yourself. It means taking your emotions, your thoughts, words and actions to a higher level. It's like an internal renovation. You're renovating yourself internally. You're moving incrementally higher and higher in all areas of your life.

So for example, if someone says something rude to us and our normal reaction is to snap, but instead we pause and we breathe and we stay calm, that's an example of human revolution. Or if someone has this habit of constantly criticizing others and speaking negatively, the act of staying neutral, that's an example of human revolution. If we normally snooze our alarm six times, snoozing it once and waking up on time, that's

an example of human revolution. So it doesn't matter how small the change is, but making these small incremental shifts from within, in our thoughts, in our words and actions and behavior, improving the way we feel and the way we speak, all of that is human revolution. It's basically moving higher and higher on the consciousness ladder.

But what's the deal with human revolution and how does it solve our big challenge? So I've learned that it is basically this process of improving ourselves in the areas that may seem not connected to our main block is what leads to unblocking ourselves from that big problem. It's like a cleanup act.

It's that process in itself, that act of making positive changes within us that raises our overall consciousness, changes us as a person and puts us on the frequency of attracting what we truly desire. I'll share a story which will explain this better. So you know, sharing experiences is a very big part of my Buddhist practice.

And one of my fellow members shared this experience of using human revolution to get what she wanted. So she had been looking for her perfect life partner for many years, and she had had relationships that hadn't worked out. She also had a broken engagement.

And she really felt that this was some sort of big karmic block, like it was the same pattern that just kept repeating itself. And she felt totally deadlocked and disheartened. She kept meeting men, she kept going on dates. She did all of that, which was great.

But then she just decided to take a completely different, or rather take a Buddhist approach to solving this problem. Rather than obsessing over not finding the right one, she started doing her human revolution in all areas of her life. She started making those incremental shifts, those changes that seemed small and insignificant

at first, but they added up to something really big. So first at work, her entire attitude changed. She was someone who always got into office politics. She completely stopped all of that. She stayed away from office gossip and all those issues.

Her outlook to her clients changed. She started taking every meeting seriously. She wasn't casual about anything anymore. She started showing up on time, dressing better. She just became so dedicated to her work and to her larger mission.

And she just made sure that everything that she did was perfect. Then she started cleaning up her personal life. She started doing her human revolution there. She was always someone who had issues with her parents, and she shared about how it was always a blow-hard, blow-cold kind of relationship.

There were months at a stretch when they wouldn't speak, and she decided to change all of that. She set aside her ego. She softened. She developed compassion for what her parents may have gone through. So she did her human revolution in her relationships as well.

And I met her through this process, and I noticed how her energy had changed. She was a different person. She was vibrating on such a high frequency. And she did this for all areas of her life. She just upgraded herself.

She fixed her discipline, timings, focus, behavior, all of that. And this process just changed her internally as a person. And sure enough, she attracted the love of her life and is now happily married. I know this sounds too simple, too idealistic, too cliched, but believe me, it's not. It is the way to unblock yourself and get what you want.

Look at the areas of your life which are stuck. Keep making an effort towards those. And also look at the other areas of your life. Where can we improve? Where can we change?

Where can we do our human revolution? Because believe me, when we start doing that, that shift, that energy shift within us opens up for everything that we want in life. And that actually flows into our lives. You know, I've realized that no effort goes to waste.

Everything adds up. Everything manifests into something bigger, into something positive. You know, you'll notice that when you help someone, it shows up as benefit in your work. It shows up as something positive in your family. Nothing good is ever wasted.

I know it's really frustrating when we're stuck, when we're in the midst of that challenge. And, you know, you keep asking yourself why that block showed up. But trust me, don't get upset because we all go through this. We all have to clean ourselves up in our areas. We all have to clean ourselves up in life.

That is the purpose of life. And believe me, everything works out in the end. So just focus on the cleanup act. Firstly, look at all your relationships. Look at your behavioral patterns.

Is there something that we can change? Is there any relationship where we are stuck? People we don't talk to, people we don't acknowledge, people we are dismissive towards. Can we fix that? Can we change something?

Can we do something differently? What about work? What about recreation? Can we get more disciplined at our work? Can we get more focused?

Can we add that daily workout to our routine? Even cleaning up your room. Do it now. Make that positive change. Any change that you can make in any area of your life that may seem unrelated to your

main problem, do it now because that is what clears our karma and eventually manifests into something big. I know you may think this is not related but believe me, everything is. Even though we may think that no one is watching, there is a karmic calculator that calculates all our debits and all our credits and it shows up in different ways.

It can show up as problems, it can show up as goodwill. Incremental changes in our thoughts, in our words, in our actions, in all areas of our life is what adds up to getting those big things that we want. This is how blocks are cleared. By cleaning up in every area.

By going full throttle in different areas of our lives. Cleaning up the areas of our lives that don't seem connected to our big problem. So let's get out there, let's do our human revolution in every area and see the pathways that open up. Try it out and let me know how this works.

Let me know which areas of your life get unblocked. I'll be back soon. Signing off, SJK.
