If you’re chasing your goals but feeling burnt out or disconnected, this one’s for you.

I know it's a common because it came to me. Um right in my mouth memory banner, my map sound banner, so at that point it was cool enough. I just don't want to do it.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome, welcome, welcome. Um, this is the very first podcast. Excuse me, I'll be looking at my phone a little bit because I I have some notes here. But um, this is the very first official episode of the Brand Builders Podcast. Um this is where we tap in with entrepreneurs, creatives, and um just regular people that are you know building something for themselves. Um it's not just whether it's a you know whether it's a brand, a business, or even if you're just trying to better yourselves, this is where you would you know tap in to you know expand your ideas and like I said, connect with those uh creatives, entrepreneurs, and and just like us, regular people. Dope, man.

SPEAKER_00

I'm grateful to be here. Thanks for thinking of me, and uh, I'm more than happy to pull up anything you got going on.

SPEAKER_01

Sure, I appreciate that, man, for sure. Um so I honestly I couldn't think of a better guest to kick this off with, you know what I'm saying? I know we've been working together, we I've seen you around, you know, for quite some time now. We've been trying to tap in, figure out something that we can really you know do together. So figure, you know, we've done photo shoots and things like that, but you know, this is something that we can um expand on, you know. I think this is this will be dope. This this conversation that we got is is I think it's a good one for for the people. You know, I agree, man.

SPEAKER_00

Hopefully, uh hopefully our conversation reaches somebody that needs it and they they do what they need to do with the information. Hope so.

SPEAKER_01

That's all we could do. Um so let me just introduce you to the guest. Um, so this is Z. He's also known as the the brand, the uh sorry, the sound dad.

SPEAKER_00

Sound healing dad. The sound healing dad. Yes, yes, yes.

SPEAKER_01

Um, a wellness practitioner, sound bath facilitator, and honestly, like I said before, someone has been helping people as well as myself um adjust and get back you know in alignment with you know what they're focused on. So um that's what we're about to get into. We're about to get into how healing plays a role into building your brand, your business, and your yourself, right? Cool. So um let's jump, let's jump into it. First of all, let's just rewind a little a little bit. You know, I want to um kind of get a backstory. I want to know like what got you into the space of like sound healing and things like that. Like, did you s always do this or like how did this come about?

SPEAKER_00

No, it's good, that's a good question. So if you asked me what this was like eight years ago, I had no clue. I never was around them, never heard them, anything like that, right? Um the closest thing I heard to these was like church bells when we were a little kid. There used to be church bells on top of every church, right? And my grandma used to bring us to church pretty much every Sunday. So that's the closest thing I heard to these. But my journey with these is pretty crazy. So my wife and I, we went to Cambodia and we arrived. Uh, we're about to have this beautiful lunch, right? And they're doing a Cambodian traditional dance to perform while everybody's eating. So I keep hearing these bowls in the background. I don't know what they are, but I just hear I'm thinking they're gongs, right? So I'm hearing them in the background, and I'm just like, babe, I feel mad peaceful right now. Like, and that's what sparked it for me, right? That's what made me that's my first experience with them to actually feel what they do, right? And that's sort of where my journey started to bring me closer to these sambos, right? And then, you know, I've been into meditating since like 2015, um, self-taught. I started with a guided app, right? And then after like a hundred hours, I was like, I could probably do this on my own. So I started meditating on my own. Um, as the years went on, I started introducing hand mudras and chants with my meditation. Um, started meditating by the beach outside every day before working out. And then um the last piece for me was to add these sound bowls to it, man. And I I originally got them just for personal use and to use for my kids and my family, my friends, things like that. And once I started um having a few sessions with my friends and family, they were like, you have to share this with other people, man. So this came to me, really. Sound bad feeling came to me. I like that. It came to me.

SPEAKER_01

Um, okay. So what were you doing before this?

SPEAKER_00

So before, man, what wasn't I doing, bro? Like um, entrepreneur. Oh, just to rewind, right? So I went to I graduated from business school in 2009, 2007, right? Um worked at a few Fortune 500 companies, uh, helping them with just selling different technologies, things like that, business to business sales, um account executive, things like that. Um then I started my own business with uh my partner with two partners, right? We started an apparel company, MOR Apparel. Yep. Um still running to this day, doing great. Um, anyone that needs, you know, we're tapping in with coaches, with pretty much anyone that wants customized merch and that's sports related, we got them, right? So I went from MOR apparel to learning how to trade. So, you know, I've always, and one of the things I took in college was investment, an investment course, right? So I've always traded stocks, right? And then I got into foreign exchange, the foreign exchange market um for a few years, still trade to this day, right? Um and then last but not least, I added the Calio Luxury Company to my uh repertoire because this I feel like this is a service, I feel like we should we should all have a few things, right? Something that makes keeps us healthy, something that something that's a hobby that sharpens our mind and brings us joy and sharpens our skills, right? And then something that helps others. So this is my something that helps others and my way to give back to people.

SPEAKER_01

Nice. That's what I was looking for a way to bridge that gap, but you did you did that. Um did you have a doubt, like through the the process of um building this business, did you have a doubt like that this was your calling?

SPEAKER_00

So I didn't doubt that it was my calling. I may have doubted the the success that that I would get through it because it wasn't it's not a popular thing, right? Especially for our demographic, it's not really popular to uh self-heal for some reason, and it's also not very popular to sit in a kumbaya circle, you know what I mean? And you know what I mean? So that's not the most popular thing to do, but like I said, this is a call, I know it's a calling because it came to me and it felt right, it made my family better, it made myself better. So at that point, I don't care if it's cool or not, I'm just doing what I'm supposed to do.

SPEAKER_01

And that's actually is it's funny because that leads me right into the next question. Because um, the whole reason why I wanted to start this like here with you, um, is because our community, like you just said, like people building brands, even and just every like I feel like that conversation of healing isn't had, like we don't talk about it um at all, and it gets left out. And I think it it it's necessary when you're starting out, you or even if you're starting over, like you have to like I and it's just a personal belief, but I feel like you know, cleansing and realigning yourself with your purpose is the way to start any any task or any like you know, adventure or anything. So, and like you said, it it gets left out of that conversation when in our in our most of the communities that I'm involved in, you know.

SPEAKER_00

So, um because think about how powerful we would be if we understood that energy doesn't die. So if we want to be reborn or be renew ourselves, rebrand ourselves, whatever the case, right? All we have to do is rid ourselves of those old energies that we no longer align with, and then start to rebuild and fill up with the new energy that we want. And now we're that because we said we're that. Exactly. We don't we all we're taught to go look for uh not acknowledgement, but what's I'm forgetting the word right now, it's gonna come back to me, but we go look for uh like for for instance, I think these are tough, I think these are dope, right? But I I need you to tell me that they're dope for me to feel like to this might be another word, but so we're taught we're taught we're taught that, but really the power lies within it. If you say you are, you are. Right, right. For sure.

SPEAKER_01

Um cool. So let's see.

SPEAKER_00

Do you do you believe that real success requires alignment for I think for sure real success requires alignment because without alignment I believe that there'll be no fulfillment and without fulfillment, it's just gonna feel empty, right? So just to tie it into my story, right? I was in the corporate world, making more money than I knew what to do with, right? Um several vacations a year, buying whatever I want, right, but still feeling empty inside. So I traded all the materialism and all that in to um to tap into my spirit more and be in nature more, and now I'm teaching that to my kids, right? These things, they're fleeting. You can get the you can get some sneakers that make you feel amazing, or a car that makes you feel amazing, a house, your house could burn down tomorrow, somebody could take the shoes off your feet, and you could crash that car all in the same day. Then then how do you you're only stuck with yourself again and you get back to feeling low. So it really comes from within.

SPEAKER_01

Like you're giving power to all of these things. Things, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then all the power lies within. You can create all those things, you know what I mean? We're the creators of this earth.

SPEAKER_01

So I guess you would say that's the meaning of alignment.

SPEAKER_00

That's the meaning of alignment to me, right? So if you're moving in the right space, you're gonna align with the things that make you feel better, the things that uplift you, the things that bring you that feeling of success, right? Because if you're helping people to me, I don't feel successful unless I help somebody else. Because the money, I used to tie my alignment to money, and it was always empty at the end. Like, I wanna make 50,000 a year. Done.

SPEAKER_01

Because you make 50,000, then you get like the more money you make, the more you know, problems, they say, but you know, the more bills you have and things, the more expenses you have. So you make more money and you spend more money, and you still end up chasing it, you know. It's a never-ending, like never ending.

SPEAKER_00

There were years where I I told myself, when I make six figures, I'll be happy, right? And I doubled and tripled that in a year, and I still it didn't I felt empty, so it's like it's not it's really not the money. It's not the money. So it has to be something else, and that's when I really started looking within and embarking on this journey, bringing me back closer to nature and closer to simple things.

SPEAKER_01

How do you how would you say you check yourself if it's like you're feeling off?

SPEAKER_00

I was so I go to the water every single day. Um I go sit by the beach and I bring my family sometimes, sometimes I go I go alone, but I meditate every single day, sometimes several times a day, and I give I take the energy that I need from the water, I give whatever energy I don't need back to the water, and you know what I mean? I feel I feel refreshed every day, man.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So and then what would you say to someone that's grinding right now, like they're going hard, but they're feeling like burnt out, but like how how could they realign? Like maybe like go into the water or something like that as well.

SPEAKER_00

Go to the water, meditate, exercise, just step away. So we we're brainwashed with this hustle culture, right? And it's not natural, you know what I mean? So just find a healthy balance to where you still feel good about yourself and you can still get done what you want to get done, accomplish your goals, you know what I mean? But you don't have to all that like hustle hard and don't sleep and all that's nonsense to me. Like I used to be team no sleep because we were all taught this you know what I mean, taught that this is a cool thing to do, but in reality, we need to balance. I I practice grounding, another thing. Go outside barefoot and just walk through the grass for five, ten minutes. You get the negative ions from the earth, which recharges our batteries, literally like putting a phone on a on a charger, bro. It's amazing. And you can go look this stuff up, right? It's videos of people with the uh what's the things that measure the like the voltage of a battery, like basically voltage testers, right? So they'll have them, they're standing on concrete with their shoes on, they take off their shoes, the number will jump a little bit, then they they have their shoes off still, they go step in the grass, the number is over a hundred. It's fikes, you know what I mean? So there's real free energy in the earth soil.

SPEAKER_01

I've never seen that, but I've I have friends that have always told me, like, you gotta go, you gotta take your sh take your socks off, because you know I'm always like the one with the socks, I got water shoes and everything when I go out, but they're like, take your socks off, take your shoes off, walk in the sand, walk in the dirt, and you just feel different, you feel better. Like it feels like you're connected with the earth for for sure. Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

And and another thing that does is it realigns us ourselves back to the structural way it's supposed to be, like the same way these bowls do, right? There's certain frequencies that when you expose them to you ever see videos of like people putting water on top of speakers and it makes like divine patterns? Yeah, that's what these do to our blood. We're made of so much water, right? So it's doing that to our blood, which is then restructuring ourselves. And that's the same thing that's happening when we when we're outside grounding, too.

SPEAKER_01

That's dope. And that's actually perfect because that's what I'm actually getting into next. Is like for people that actually never experienced a sound bath, like can you walk us through that? Like what's happening energetically, physically, mentally?

SPEAKER_00

For sure. Um, so for one of the the best benefits from soundbath healing, uh especially with today's environment, is it's going to naturally reduce stress, naturally reduce anxiety. Um we're staring at these screens all day. Young people that are comparing themselves to the next person. If you're a hooper and you see somebody with 10,000, 100,000 followers, you're gonna feel like you're not worthy of being in the same category as them. So comparison is the thief of joy. Um so these things are the natural way to deal with that stress, the natural way to reset your body back to centered, right? Um for young people, especially children, is going to help their brain development. It helps restructure their brain cells so that their brain can develop at a quicker rate than if it was just, you know, zombied out again, watching the screen or whatever the case, right? Um these bowls also, so if you have pain, physical pain in your body, over in in uh Southeast Asia and different parts of Asia, they're putting thousands of hours of these bowls, like sitting them on their body and hitting the bowls, and it's taking away pain, back pain, uh neck pain, anything things like that, right? So that takes a very long time. It's kind of hard to do that in today's um world because we all got busy schedules. But but if if you're ever in the mountain, you find yourself in the mountains for a few months, you know, they they've cured diseases with these. They've there's just study after study showing that frequency can kill things like cancer. Frequency can kill things like uh can can uh kill things like what's that what's that brain, what's that brain disease where you can't really remember like short-term memory loss? I forget the name of the disease. Yeah, something like Alzheimer's, right? So early stages of Alzheimer's, they're able to kill those cells to make the the cells, the healthy cells regenerate and they get their brain function back. So these things do so much that we're not even privy to, and it's just simple frequency.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, okay. Um have you seen like what kind of transformations have you seen like with your through your sessions?

SPEAKER_00

Um, so I do I do short sessions, so short term is just really people literally embracing me saying, Thank you. I felt so stressed before I came in here. Work, family, you know, the net the everyday things that just weigh us down or we feel pressured to perform up to a certain um certain level, right? It's good to just dial back and sometimes just be doing nothing and receiving. You know what I mean? Because we give energy all day. We give energy to our jobs, we give energy to our loved ones, we give energy to our partners, we give energy everywhere, but when do we take the time to receive energy and refill back up?

SPEAKER_01

Wow, that's interesting. Because I have sat in the sessions and I feel that like I'm receiving that energy. I'm not like I'm I guess I am releasing in a in a way as well, but I feel like like even you spoke of like chakras and things, like I feel the frequencies through my body as like the sounds change and things like that. So I can connect with what you're saying in that sense.

SPEAKER_00

Dope. That's right. It's real, man. There's so many, there's so many examples. If you if you do the research, the the knowledge is out there just about uh you know us taking action and tapping into what what kind of energy we want to bring into our lives, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Would you say this is a spiritual practice? Because I know obviously it's a business for you, but is it like spiritual or I would say it is it is, right?

SPEAKER_00

Because if we're fixing, I feel like anything that has to do with fixing our bodies is spiritual, right? Going outside and grounding, that's spiritual, right? Because we're tapping back into source. It's it's a low level of spirituality, right? But it's still a level of spirituality. Nature, animals do this, everything on the planet is doing this, right? And whether they're, you know, some it'll people like to tie these to religion and and spirituality, but at the end of the day, what they're really there for is to heal us and to bring us closer to source. Whatever you do to get closer to source, whoever you believe in, whatever you believe in, right? If you don't believe in anything, nature still wins, right? So these are these are a part of nature, these are thousands and thousands of years old, so we gotta keep it simple and and uh use what's here for us.

SPEAKER_01

That's dope. Thank you. How do you handle people misunderstanding the work that you do?

SPEAKER_00

Um I honestly don't give that any any energy. If they're for me, they they attract to me. I'm at a stage in my life where I'm not chasing anything really. Except my son when he's running away from me, my daughter, you know what I mean? On a basketball court. But besides that, I don't chase, I don't chase anyone. If somebody's open to have a conversation and they're coming in with an open mind to speak their opinion and then also listen and absorb another opinion, we could, you know, we could talk. But for sure. As far as like trying to convince people that just don't believe, I I give that zero energy.

SPEAKER_01

Nice, nice for sure. Um, okay, so then what's next for you?

SPEAKER_00

Anything you're excited about after this, like the next level of I mean, so I will just what's next, I can't say, right? Whatever comes to me. But what I am excited to do, since the weather's heating up, I'm gonna be doing like sound baths in the pool where you know we'll have people floating around while we while we uh perform the sound bath, um, introducing corporate events. So anyone that's staying at a retreat space with their corporation and they just want to give, they need a way to give back to all their their uh their people, their staff. I'm performing sound baths for staffs. Um I go to local libraries, elementary schools so that the kids can get introduced to this. And you know, a lot of these kids are saying they have anxiety. I've met kids that are like six years old, seven years old, stating that they have anxiety. That's crazy. Because when we were younger, we just felt what we felt and we didn't know what we cried, we laughed, we would have to.

SPEAKER_01

I don't mean to laugh about that, but like, yeah, like how do how do they even understand?

SPEAKER_00

How do we know how do we understand how do we fathom that with your little six year old brain? Seven year old brain, you know what I mean? That's that's crazy. So, you know, making sure that they get introduced to this so that they're not relying on getting. Addicted to medicine, feeling like they need to sip on something to go to sleep or whatever, right? Um so that's what's nice for me, man. Just just I'm on a mission to help for this year. I'm gonna help 10,000 people find peace from within. Without using anything uh man-made, without just naturally finding peace from within. And these bowls, you know, I I use I'm just the instrument player for these bowls, but the real healers are these bowls, man. It's not me. I'm your tool. I'm just a tool here to help others find peace. Alright.

SPEAKER_01

Nice. Well, I don't want to, you know, take too much of your time, but I do appreciate you pulling up and um having this combo. Definitely um definitely the perfect way to set the tone for what I'm doing here with this with this podcast and what it's all about. Um it is easy to get caught up in the that hustle mentality, you know, the every the building, you know, every day grinding, but um it's important that we like step back, realign, understand, like you know, tap into source, as you know, as you say, so that we can continue to grow and to not feel burnt out and things like that, you know. I think that is uh that's super important, and it's a perfect way to like like I said, start this podcast as with anything else. I I I'm a true believer, like if I if I'm coaching somebody in business, like the first thing I tell them to do is declutter, you know, like clear out whatever you have in your head, in your room, or whatever, like declutter so that we can move forward clear with a clear path. Yeah, so definitely, and I and I again I appreciate you pulling up. Um tell me where where where can people tap in with you? Um stay connected, experience one of your bath sessions.

SPEAKER_00

No doubt. Um so you could go to my website at www.collierluxury.com. I'm sure he'll put that somewhere on the screen, right? Um you can find me on Instagram at CollierLuxury, Facebook at CollierLuxury, and um just to clarify, I call it the Collier Luxury Company because health is luxury, and luxury is health, right? Everything else is everything else is a facade, man. We think that a nice car with leather seats is luxury. If you don't feel good, you just run around.

SPEAKER_01

Right, because in a few years it's not worth it.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

So did you drive it off the lot? The value of cutting half.

SPEAKER_00

So it's not it's not even worth it, but so um, yeah, you can find me on my website, you can find me on Instagram, that's where I'm the most active, Facebook. Um on my website, you're able to go and book anything from a solo session, couple session, family session, corporate session, and um, yeah, reach out. I have an email address as well, the callyourcompany21 at gmail.com. So just hit me up anyway, and I am open to to count to converse and bring some healing to your life.

SPEAKER_01

Dope, man. Well, again, I appreciate you coming through, man.

SPEAKER_00

I appreciate you, man. Yo, you know, I'm grateful for you having me. For real.

SPEAKER_01

Nah, for real, man. I I really appreciate this, and I think this is it'll be good for the viewers, not just like, you know, for us building, but I think this is good content, and it's good for people to tap in and they can like actually receive something from it. So, you know, I I I truly appreciate it as well.

SPEAKER_00

Please tap in, please heal yourselves. Health is the only luxury. That's why I use the hashtag hashtag luxury is health. Hit me up.

SPEAKER_01

And I appreciate y'all for locking in um and rocking with us on this first episode. Do me a favor, and if you got value from this, follow the show, leave a review, and share it with somebody who needs to see this. Dope. All right, thank y'all.

SPEAKER_00

Peace. That was dope, man. That was dope.
