Knicks UNLEASHED
Your 82-0 KNICKS! New York Beats Boston for two in a ROW at the MSG!
A 30-point Boston opener usually spells trouble. Not tonight. We unpack how New York flipped a double-digit rhythm game into a statement win using pace, transition threes, and sheer control of the glass. The heartbeat was a 42-point second quarter and an 18–0 fast-break edge at halftime, all powered by a scheme that finally fits the roster’s strengths.
We walk through the tactical shift that put Mikal Bridges on the ball and let Jalen Brunson roam off it, turning static isolations into live catches, left-hand finishes, and quick-hit reads that bent Boston’s defense. Even with a modest 38.4% night from the field and a quiet shooting line from OG Anunoby, the offense kept generating advantages—early-clock threes, hard rim runs, and second-chance chances off Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hart’s work on the boards. Every starter reached double figures, which says as much about structure and spacing as it does about individual hot streaks.
There’s honesty about the rough edges too. Defensive lapses in the first quarter were real, but holding Boston to 14 in the second showed growth and discipline. We dig into bench roles, why five-deep minutes still need more scoring windows, and how Mitchell Robinson’s eventual return could raise the ceiling with rim protection and putbacks. With Miami on deck, the checklist is clear: keep the tempo, trust the early three, and let Brunson’s off-ball gravity unlock the half court.
If you’re here for real hoops talk—strategy, roles, and the little edges that swing games—hit follow, share this with a fellow Knicks fan, and drop your Miami prediction in the comments. Your reviews help more fans find the show, so leave one and tell us who deserves more minutes next game.

Alrighty, our Knicks fans. You know what's not been here knicks and leaves and the Knicks take it. 105-95. Over those Boston Celtics. Oh, is it the 82-0 run? Is this the magical season we've all been waiting for? I don't know. And of course I'm being facetious, but it's fun. It's fun to watch this Mike Brown offense. It's fun to watch the transition three. And of course, what we're talking about is the Knicks getting out of transition and basically searching for that three-pointer, setting up that three-pointer. Knicks were uh, I think 17 for 45 against the yeah, they let's see. Let's double check here. The SA were 17 for 45 on three for 37.8%. This was one of those games that while the Knicks didn't take it coast to coast, Boston came out hot with that 30-point first quarter. Knicks only put up 22. But then going into the four, excuse me, going into the second, the Knicks within the first eight minutes won a 25 to 6 run. It was it was it's just, I mean, I really I really love watching this Mike Brown offense. I really do. Because of the fact that it's not only the transition three, but I I was skeptical at times having Bridges bring the ball up. But when you take Jalen Brunson off the ball and you allow him to move around the court, and he's not so he's not so ISO-dominant. It's a beautiful thing to watch. And so many times this game, you watch Bridges bring the ball up. You watch Brunson move, shake, bake, get open, drive to the basket, switch to that left hand, which we know is the hand that you want him shooting with. If you you know, Brunson shoots from the left, you might as well just fucking count it or call it a penalty. I mean, it really is it really is that majestic to watch. But like I said, the first eight minutes in that second quarter, to you know, to come out 25 to on a 25-6 run, you put up 42. The Knicks put up 42 in that second quarter. Why do I keep saying fourth quarter in the second quarter? It was 42 to 14 with Boston. Now listen, this is not uh a Boston Championship team from a couple years ago. Hell, this isn't the Boston Celtics from last year. They are a different team, they they have a different look, they have a different philosophy, but the Knicks understood that and they played to their strengths, which at certain points of time was Boston's weaknesses. At one point in time in the first half, the Knicks had 18-0 in reference to fast break points. That's why, like I said, that's why this transition with Mike Brown, this trash, this, this transition three or the or this transition offense with Mike Brown is just so crazy. Think about it. In the first half, Knicks had 18.0 in transition points compared to the Boston Celtics, who had zero. And it wasn't even a great, again, it wasn't even a great shooting night. Knicks only shot 38.4% from the floor, but they did everything else. Like I said, to stymie Boston to only 14 points in that second quarter was was just phenomenal. Um, and then like I said, but it was in some regards, it was a tail of the two halves. The team slowed it a little bit, slowed it a little bit down, and then that third quarter. Uh was only 20 Boston was up 20, uh, excuse me, Boston had 21 points, the Knicks had 18. And then again on the fourth, the Knicks were just the Knicks just knew when it was time to do what they had to do. Boston, while they dropped 30, the Knicks to only 23. The game was really never in doubt. And it was just so it was just so exciting to watch. And like I said, I I don't know what else to say. I mean, the Knicks went cold. I was a little concerned that the Knicks went one for nine to start the fourth. But then, like I said, you just give it to Brunson. Brunson drive, Brunson dishes, puts it up with that left hand, just call it another day. Once again, the Knicks go five deep on the bench. You gotta love it. Five deep. Again, for the another night, five deep. Well, once again, though, I I would like to see some more scoring opportunities out of the bench. Yeah, you're you're you're you only had 16 points. But while it didn't take away from the starters in reference to to playing, you know, limiting more of them some uh some of their mids, um, excuse me, limiting their minutes a little bit. Bridges was the leader with 36 minutes, Brunson behind him with 35. But usually on these nights against Boston, we would see these guys in the 40s. And it was nice to see that Carl Anthony Towns didn't get into foul trouble early, put up 26 points, 13 boards, had six offensive rebounds, was 10 from 12 from the fee from the charity stripe. It was nice to see Josh Hart out there after, you know, after tweaking his back a little bit in preseason. He was only one for eight, he was oh for three from three, but he did come up with 14 big boards, six offensive, eight defensive rebounds. But like I said, you know, with all the joy and euphoria, we we and you know, that OG Ananobi, man, we we have to just wait and see. OG Ananobi did not have a great night. He was three for ten for 10 points, two for seven for three. He only had two rebounds. But when you're mopping up, when when Towns and Hard are mopping it up, what does it really matter? But you take a look at this Knicks team, and it's a different team. They play differently while they've I think they have more defensive laps, I will say. Um in reference to when they were, you know, in this place, it's early, but they have a couple, they they're having more defensive laps at times, uh, especially that first quarter was was really uh was really relevant or prelevant. I really can't talk tonight, man. I got so excited watching this game. I don't know why, but like I said, I am so pumped to watch this game. But the Knicks are gonna find themselves defensively. I mean, hell they like I said, they held Boston to 14 points. You had every starter put up at least 10, which is nice to see. You had 10 from OG, 26 from Carl Anthony Towns, Bridges for 12. Of course, you had the Mighty Brunson for 31, and McBride, who also had a pretty bad shooting down for 3 for 10, put up 10 points as well. But like I said, it was again a solid team effort. It was the type of effort that you hope is gonna carry over to the next 80 games and well into the playoffs and all the way to the championship. Oh, yeah, I'm calling it now 82 and oh. Just just count it in the bank. Knicks, of course, are gonna head out to Miami on Sunday. Um again, it's it's an it's another early season test. While we've said it before and we'll say it a million times, this is this is not the Boston team without Tatum that you know that we're used to. But you still have Jalen Brown, you still have Derek White. Um, but like I said, I mean it's a good win. It's a solid win. It doesn't matter. You can only play the people that they put on the court. They showed tenacity of the Knicks did at times. They they showed the ability to bounce back, like I said, putting up a 42-point second quarter. Oh, it was a thing of beauty. And like I said, this this transition three, man, I I I've I am stunned. I am literally stunned by I mean after watching Tibbs, like I said, after watching Tibbs and this ISO offense, to see this type of transition style, and they it really fits the play of OG Ananobi, Towns, Bridges, Brunson, and McBride. It really plays to their strengths. And in some ways, it plays to the strengths of the bench. I would like to see Jordan Clarkson get a little bit more involved, but the Gershawn, the Dancing Bear, he's putting in solid minutes. He had 13 minutes while he only had three points. He did have five rebounds. It was a nice thing to watch. It was nice to see like the Knicks clean up the boards. They had 53 rebounds to only 37 at the Boston Celtics. I hope that trend continues because they have some men that can do, you know, no, that I said that can clean that glass. Mitchell Robinson, we're still waiting on that ankle. Where are you, Mr. Robinson? Hopefully he'll be around sometime soon. Because, like I said, we could use his depth on the bench. Not that I don't mind Gershaw filling in a times for Hart. Excuse me, not Hart. Carl Anthony Towns at that center position. I would really see him like to see him a little bit more in that power forward position. But you know what? You take what you get. A win is a win. This was a good win. This was a solid win. This was a win against a good team, a team that will probably be in the playoffs this year. You may see, you may see them towards the end of the season again. Or into the, I should say, within the first couple rounds of the playoffs. So you know what? It's a solid win. The Mike Brown transition three is working its magic. Let's continue to do that and let's head out, Knicks fans, and wait till we see what happens against the Miami Heat. Like, subscribe, ring that bell, and I'm out of here.
